I had a major life moment today, y'all. I got to talk to Jeff from 98 Degrees. If you woulda told me back when I went to my first ever concert [which was theirs] that I'd one day talk to them, I woulda hit you or something for being ridiculous.
He's heading a new movie/show on E! that airs this Sunday.... all about the real life Magic Mike [and he says it's also part Sex In The City]. A group of hott guys, learning how to strip... hell yes you can count me in.
We talked about the Package Tour [when I saw them last year], how the guys on the show come from all different backgrounds including the NFL, WWE, and MMA... and how his wife and family think about this whole new career of his.
He was SO awesome to talk to! Normally I chop up my interviews pretty good, but I felt like it was a fun and casual conversation.
Jeff also said that a lot of the guys are using "Men of the Strip" as a platform to get into another career, and he's fully supportive of that. That's pretty freaking awesome.
Here are the clips I referenced in the interview:
I'm pretty pumped to watch Sunday night. Feel free to live tweet it with me [and Jeff]!
We already know it's going to be a very different season in terms of relationships and dynamics with all of the exes in the house.. but now it's time to get our first real look!
Can you imagine the awkwardness of having your ex live in a house where you're also living with your new lover, though?! Haaaa, this could be really good, y'all.
Time to kick back into Real World stalkinghunting searching mode! Thanks to Vevmo for once again finding the location and letting the world know that MTV is headed back to Cali... San Francisco!
It's doubtful it will be able to live up to the original season in San Fran since it was probably the best ever [and if we're being honest, I don't know if any "back to" season has been better than the first], but you know we'll be keeping tabs and watching alone.
THE HOUSE: 1244 Sutter Street, 32,000 sq. feet of goodness.
It's super old, but looks like it has a lot of potential... and we all know BMP can work some magic on these buildings. I can't wait to see how it looks in the end!
And thanks to his friends [and him, really] for being idiots awesome and tweeting about his departure, we know Ft. Worth native Thomas Buell is on his way.
I'm honestly so shocked by how blunt they were on Twitter that I wonder if this is actually a decoy like the ones they sent to DC. It'd be smart of them, but it's not like we wouldn't figure it out eventually.
There's a lot of pressure on this cast to save the series.... so I hope they picked well! I'll be on top of my game trying to find out anything I can during filming. I've got someone who coincidentally works near the house and has friends who live next door to it. They are fully aware I expect some goodies since I can't afford to fly out there.
As always, holler at your girl if you find anything out or see something suspicious! All of my contact info is right over here and I'll totally respect your anonymity if necessary.
Judging from the bios on the site, we have another group of people that have very troubling pasts and family issues that are obviously going to be brought to life in the show. We also have a very tall set of girls, if that intrigues you. If it doesn't, you should know that it's the girls that are clearly going to be causing the trouble this season.
The trailer officially debuts tonight during Catfish, but that's too far away.
There's a solid amount of hitting in there... and a solid amount of serious issues being brought up. That's everything a Real World fan wants in a season, right?! Oh, and a relationship, duh. Only question is: Where's the gay?!
I've chatted with some of the roommates randomly, so I think it's fair to say I'll be getting some podcasts up early in the season. I'm hoping Marlon and I become BFF.
Also, I'm still having a bit of an identity crisis with Jessica. Everything I've read about her on MTV's website, and after talking to her, she seems like a genuinely nice person. Still, people are feeling the need to blast her in every way on my website. If all of this hate is because of a couple mistakes she may have made in her past, I'm going to lose my mind. MOVE ON!
Now I must ask you: What do you think of the first sneak peek?! Excited? I GOTTA KNOW!
Let the countdown begin!
love,
elizabethany
PS: Follow all the roommates on Twitter over here!
Lookie here! We've got our first two GUYS identified in the Portland house! And BOTH of them have videos showing us exactly who they are. Hello CONVENIENCE, it's nice to meet you!
He seems like a pretty awesome guy, and he looks nice, too! Plays all sorts of sports, likes country AND rap music, and is basically my future husband. Or.. something.
His audition tape isn't the most exciting thing in the world, but remember what I and all the roommates have always told us in podcasts: It's not about being obnoxious or having "the craziest, most dramatic, party life in the world." It's about being able to tell a story [and probably have something hidden in your past]. All Boston guys are good for the show, let's be honest.
That's all for now! No big stories besides being out at the bars and mingling with people from their balcony. Sounds so... familiar.
OMG. I can't even begin to tell you guys how excited I am right now!
I've known [and told you in a podcast] that the next Real World would be in Portland for a little while, but I was waiting for some good details to share with you. Well friends, those details are finally here! But that's not exactly why I'm excited.
He even posted a video of a mysterious dog on their balcony/porch/rooftop! [Which, by the way, is pretty neat... but while BMP probably thought they were being sneaky and hidden up there, they had no idea this spy dude existed.
Some people may have thought I'd be jealous when someone did this, but absolutely not! [Truth is, I know I was the first to do it on Twitter/video/blog/podcast, so it's fine! ;)] I'm so excited to see what they post and I'd really like to talk to him ASAP!
I'll RT stuff I think is interesting, and of course keep you updated on here with big happenings. In the meantime, here are some of the things he's posted:
And as soon as I saw that picture, it totally took me back to RWDC. I know we shouldn't always compare, but whatever. It looks so much like the scene on S St.
Well, maybe not exactly in the pictures... but definitely in my real-life memory. ;)
I think that last picture seems very old-school Real World for some reason... Of course, just a first impression off four pictures of people I know nothing about, but that's fine.
We do know some stuff about one person, though! Meet Averey Tressler:
21
From Tecumseh, Michigan, now lives in Phoenix/Temple, Arizona
Hooters waitress
Played basketball and volleyball
[That second picture is her HS senior portrait from 2009, I believe...]
Not much to know about her as of now, but Hooters waitresses always provide a good time, eh?!
And that's basically the gist of what's been happening in the past week! Comment or tweet me about your thoughts on Portland and the new "spy!"
I've told you how it's going to go down, now it's time to make it happen! Wednesday night, 10pm EST, meet me right here to chat about the debut of 7 new strangers living on their own freaking island.
Since I was sent the first couple episodes to pre-screen, here are my initial thoughts on what we can really expect:
The roommates:
Marie and LaToya had me cracking up the entire first episode. They had HUGE personalities and so far, are very likable.
Marie is a bit of a bitch, but in the "Imma tell you how it is and we're gonna laugh about it" way. Basically, just how I like my friends. She had no idea what to expect when meeting her first roommate- "He might be black, white, orange, who knows." Then she met ginger Robb... "All orange."
LaToya had me cracking up when she was getting off the plane and referred to herself as Michelle Obama. I can't type it to make it funny, so just be on the lookout for that moment.
Laura is totally cute, but already the center of an intense love triangle.
So far, all the guys are also really likable. I was worried about Trey after the stuff I found while filming, but as of now, he's an effing hottie. And Swift- hello sir, can I have you?
The drama and the storylines:
They certainly didn't hesitate with jumping right into some serious cases of drama, as well as roommate relationships. There's also already a severe outcast. Just wait until you hear the music they play when the poor roomie is left alone.
If episode 1 is setting up the rest of the season, it's safe to say we're going to have everything a good Real World season needs: love/triangles, stupid fights, crazy girls, and more serious drama. I just hope they didn't jump into it all too soon, to be honest.
It's finally that time! Real World: St Thomas is debuting on June 27, which gives us our first official look at the show today!
It looks like they'll be doing a lot of fun/interesting activities around the island, along with our fair share of crazy people, attitudes, hook-ups, jealousy, and fights that make the show go 'round!
I still assume that with them being on their own little island, it'll help with creating more drama within the roommates, but it also looks like they get out a decent amount too.
That shot of Robb at the end is a bit freaky and not what I would have expected from the little information we already know, but I'll be the first to admit that most of the time the first impressions I get are a bit wrong...
I haven't decided if I'll be doing chats for this season or not. If you'd like me to, at least for the premiere, tweet me or let me know somehow, and I'll make it happen! In the meantime, follow all of the roommates right here.
And as always, let me know your thoughts on the trailer!
I originally heard/tweeted that the next season of Real World would be in the Dominican Republic thanks to things I found on Facebook, but then I got several confirmations that it's going to be in St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands!
Hassel Island, to be exact. [Yeah, they're basically going to have their own island that they'll boat back and forth from. INSANE.]
I'm assuming they'll be having production doing the boat driving. Can you imagine a bunch of drunk 20-somethings trying to operate a boat?! Wow. That'd be a show in itself.
Here's some more of the island house:
To be honest, the house doesn't seem nearly as impressive as San Diego's first glance did, but it's an island.... AN ISLAND.
Should I say it again?
They're set to begin filming this week, if they haven't already today, and I will totally keep you up to date on any juice I find. [And, DUH, if you hear anything, you know who to tell!]
love, elizabethany
PS: If you wanna know more about the area, holler at Vevmo. They're the ones who found the pics of the house, too.
Welp. Forget Punk'd coming back. Forget about "Wipe Out" being kinda funny. This is totally about to be my new favorite show... INSTANTLY.
Betty White and all of her old friends are pranking us whippersnappers.
It's like all of the best YouTube videos, in one show, done by even MORE unsuspecting people. I'm going to laugh my ass off the entire time AND get tons of ideas for future videos. I freakin' love it already.
January 18th. My calendar has been marked... has yours?
It's about that time kids! Real World: Las Vegas is wrapping up, the next Challenge is right around the corner, so it's only right we have strangers moving into a house together to get Real sometime within the next week or so.
Apparently they've run out of places considering we've had three back-to-___ seasons in a row, but I can't even complain after looking at this house. It's unreal.
For all my fellow stalkers, if you happen to be in Cali, here's the address: 5212 Chelsea St.
They've already started hooking up the outdoor cameras and renovating, but who even cares about that? Just look at the house that is costing them $15,000 A MONTH in mortgage.
See the cameras?! It's about that time!
It was thanks to the movers that we have these deets!
The view
San Diego residents- be lookin' out for these vans all summer!
Bringin' back the pool aspect!
BEAUTIFUL front door/porch area.
Oh, just a tennis court on the roof... NBD.
Doubtful that this will be the furniture, but ya never know.
And I thought the DC house looked beautiful all lit up.......
Perfect for shooting and tons of cameras.
This place is UN.REAL!!! Wow. If any of the roommates who are moving in happen to stumble across this here blog before moving in- please know you are some lucky b-words. My jaw is literally on my desk right now.
As usual, I'll keep you up to date on all the roommates and their arrivals and identities with the help of molds at Vevmo! I can't wait to see what beach babes we'll get to stare at next season!
Now she's got her own show on VH1 [even though no one will pick up LC's.. dumb] premiering this weekend, and we have an extended trailer.
She lost me after talking about how big of a celebrity she is. That's not cool. You're famous for looking good and being emotional- don't sit here and call yourself a celebrity. We know what you are.
Her mom makes the family dysfunctional, so maybe that'll be interesting, just like all the Housewives... but other than that it doesn't look like a show I'll be needing to keep up with every day. I'd probably rather watch the Kardashians.
I'll give it a chance, but I definitely don't like her after the looks of that trailer.
TweetThe site is up, we have official pictures and bios, and the official countdown for Real World Las Vegas has begun!
Check out some of our new roommates pictures:
It's interesting.. For SOME REASON, Adam doesn't have a picture featured in the gallery... Hmmm... ;)
All of their bios are really just as we expected, but here are some of the highlights, for better or worse:
The constant attention on her brother [who had brain cancer] made Heather feel neglected and abandoned by her family. Her response was out of control drinking, which landed her in the hospital at 14 with alcohol poisoning.
Originally from a small town in Louisiana, Dustin grew up with a bi-polar, drug addicted mom and an abusive step-dad.
Adam was the kid who was never really good at anything. He didn't excel in sports, had trouble with academics and had few friends. But then he discovered his talent for dealing drugs...
Leroy was 10 years old when he and his sisters were suddenly taken away from their birth mother for her alcoholism and drug abuse.
At a first glance, he may seem like a typical small-town guy, however, Michael's background is anything but typical. As a child, Michael's parents were heavily involved in drugs and served jail time, leaving him to live with his grandparents, then his stepmom, then back to his dad after his stepmom's house burned down.
Nany's father was jailed on drug charges before she was born; and although she hopes one day to find him, they've never even met. Although Nany has a boyfriend she's been seeing on and off for 6 years, the relationship is rocky.
Naomi has successfully managed to drive her life in a new direction by graduating college, becoming the president of a nationally recognized sorority and interning for several successful entertainment companies.
Well damn. They were a bit harsh on Adam, huh?! I LOL'd when I read it. And Mike is reppin Nokesville as a small town, but I don't know if I'd consider him a "small town guy" if that's where he's from. Hmm....
And what the heck! They ALL have really rough family lives! GoodNESS. It's going to be an emotional, drunk house!
Speaking of the house, err... PENThouse, check it out!
Yeah, they went into that place knowing how to make a good show, and I'm sure they'll deliver. And DANG. It's a nice place, as usual. I love that their "work" is done at the bar. Perfect Vegas style, right?
The countdown is on! TWO WEEKS, peeps!
love, elizabethany

Tweet If you've been around for a while, you know my feelings regarding Aubrey HO'Day are pretty strong. She's still been doing all the same things she always did, but I've decided to just not give a bleep.
Now she's about to have her own show on Oxygen which means a couple things: People will have "a reason" to talk about her. She'll have "a reason" to be cocky. And she just MIGHT have a musical comeback [but probably not].
The show is debuting in the Spring, but here's what they call a preview:
Part of me likes her attitude and perseverance, the other part of me still wants to punch her in the face. I guess we'll actually have to see what this show is all about.
About the Biebs/Punk'd thing, I'm genuinely excited. After seeing his creepy eyes on CSI and imagining people getting PISSED that they just got punked by a little Justin Bieber, I think it's gonna be good.
What are your thoughts?
Let me know if you like me doing the Hollywood Minute like this, too! Is it convenient? Pointless?
Tweet We learned a couple weeks ago that Lauren Conrad was definitely coming back to MTV, but that’s about all we knew.
Now she’s talked to Us Weekly and we know more details and what to expect about her upcoming show!
She says it’s going to be all about her building a new company with her two best friends Maura McManus and Gary Samuelian. Her relationship with Kyle Howard will be kept out as much as possible, but not completely exempt, and it will show the effect fame has on her living her life.
"It's hard to say yet if he'll be on the show. Certain aspects of my relationship I want to keep to myself, but it's not like I'm going to stop myself from talking about him.
“Then, PAs would hold back paparazzi so their shadows wouldn't get in the way. Now if a mic gets in the shot, it's not a big deal."
Oh. My. Goodness. I’m SO flipping excited. I told the BFF that LC is very close to taking BritBrit’s number one spot in my heart, and this show just might make that happen.
The only downside is that I’m about to go into further debt thanks to any and all Lauren Conrad brands than what college did for my financial situation.
What do you think the name will be?! They can’t possibly call it anything along the lines of “The Hills” or “The City,” but they can’t go all VH1 and be corny with her name, right? Leave me your brainstorms!
love,
elizabethany
PS: Thanks to my boo @danchiz for pointing this out to me.
TweetIt's almost time for another season of the Real World/Road Rules Challenge!
Normally I don't get too into these... Or at least not as much as I do the Real World. This time we have TWO DC'ers involved [Ty and Emily], and from what I hear, Ty makes quite a name for himself.
Don't you worry.... I'll still be here for weekly chats and info [and probably podcasts more than right now] once it gets going, but in the meantime- check out the trailer.
Note: It's been kinda glitchy for some people, so hopefully it works for you.
It doesn't show much, and I can't tell who is who, but there sure are a lot of "mother f#@%*%$" in there... And from what I hear, it was an interesting time. As usual, don't expect our favorite newbies to have a blast moving into the house.
A couple months ago we saw the casting call: They wanted Asian-Americans who acted like the kids from Jersey Shore.
Now we have the official cast, their pics, and some info about them! ...And they're nothing like the ones I imagined.
They're literally squinty eyed Jersey Shore kids. [Is that wrong of me to say? Oh well.]
The show has its own Twitter, but is not picked up by any network yet!!! What the heck!!? It's produced by Tyrese, but apparently no one is interested. Take a look at some pictures from taping:
And OF COURSE they found their version of The Situation. Meet Peter Le:
I know if I owned a network, I'd jump on this without hesitation. This will absolutely be my favorite show if it hits television. Can you imagine the epicness?!
Everyone follow them on Twitter now. Get the word out that this could be retardedly awesome and hopefully we'll be watching it in no time.
EXACTLY six months after Real World: DC premiered, it's time for the next Real World!!! Real World: New Orleans.
What you don't know: I've been getting all of the same "insider information" about this upcoming season while they were filming, and so I can guarantee to you that it's going to quite the action packed season you've been craving!
Why I didn't share the information: I stressed all summer that I shared the information I found out for myself. Because I was hearing about New Orleans from other people, I didn't want to post too much.
However! There is a DMV native this season! His name is Eric and he's a stand up comedian from Northern Virginia that went to WEST VIRGINIA UNIVERSITY! It's almost like we're soulmates or something.
Anyway, I think it's safe to say you can expect plenty of "behind the scenes" updates throughout this upcoming season.
Until its debut, watch the trailer, and get pumped!
Ohhhh man! This is going to be good. New Orleans HAS to be good... right?!
