watch: "pop-up video" is back with "til the world ends!"

AHHHH! SO EXCITING!

We've known "Pop-Up Video" was coming back to VH1, but almost a month before the debut, they've already put their magic on Britney's VMA winning video for "Til the World Ends!"

"Brit doesn't like fecal matter." BAHAHA. You win again, Pop-Up Video. Welcome back.

watch: the audrina patridge show trailer kinda sucks

Audrina never really had a great story to add to The Hills, but she's gorgeous and I liked her anyway. Plus- she can make a line at Sears look AMAZING.

Now she's got her own show on VH1 [even though no one will pick up LC's.. dumb] premiering this weekend, and we have an extended trailer.

She lost me after talking about how big of a celebrity she is. That's not cool. You're famous for looking good and being emotional- don't sit here and call yourself a celebrity. We know what you are.

Her mom makes the family dysfunctional, so maybe that'll be interesting, just like all the Housewives... but other than that it doesn't look like a show I'll be needing to keep up with every day. I'd probably rather watch the Kardashians.

I'll give it a chance, but I definitely don't like her after the looks of that trailer.

vh1 reality strikes again with a parenting show

VH1 is supposed to be turning their ways ever since the crazy contestant on the Megan millionaire show.

So what are they doing now?! Making a reality show about turning unprepared men into good fathers.

I imagine this being Tool Academy, with the addition of some kids in the picture. [Even though I'm sure 75% of the tools do have kids to go along with their crazy baby mamas who put them on the show in the first place.]

To make my claim even more probable: It's going to be called "Dad Camp."
"In a lot of ways, men aren't what they used to be. We've made it so easy for men to walk away from their responsibilities. These guys still want to hang with their buddies, and it's time for them to man-up and take responsibility."
-Executive Producer JD Roth

Hold on... So dads can't hang with their friends, or they can't act like complete d-bags?! There's a difference, VH1 peeps.
"We've been evolving for a while now, and some of the shows are aspirational, but we're not trying to be the Hallmark Channel, but we are trying to tap all the different moods in pop culture."
-VH1 Programming Head Jeff Olde

Their other "aspirational" shows include some that will feature Jessica Simpson and Fantasia.........

This should be interesting. I probably will watch an episode or two, just to say "yep, another one bites the dust."

At least they're branching off and finding new characters to join their reality TV cult.

watch: don't change, vh1

This video speaks the minds of everyone in this nation, I bet.

Why would VH1 change anything about their programming just because of some murderer guy?! That's silly.

Current has some really funny things sometimes, and this guy is one fabulous example! "That makes my @*(# pop-up video!" CLASSIC!

This guy wins 10 points. Plus a million. Don't do it, VH1... Don't do it.

vh1 strikes again with megan

Believe it or not, I don't watch much TV. I just don't have the time to so when I do watch it, it's thanks to DVR.

This weekend I was able to lay around for a couple hours and watch some great television. [By great, I obviously mean not-so-great.]

At one point I had VH1 on [probably because of the ridiculous TO Show] and suddenly the premiere of their newest love/dating show comes on: Megan Wants a Millionaire.

WHAT?! Are we serious, VH1?! This chic has been on at least 4 of their shows already, and now they're recycling her to have this horrible show.

I really couldn't watch much more of it than to see the guys who were on the show, and the gifts she was giving them "from the heart." Her equivalent to the Bachelor's rose= A credit card. Oh my gracious.

The guys are creepy and full of themselves, of course. They all share their net worth, and are looking for a trophy wife in Megan. I would never date any of these dudes.

Because it's VH1, who wants to bet this movie producer is the winner in the end?

Unfortunately he actually got eliminated in the first round. [Not smart, VH1.] Here were his entertaining parting words:
“I think in a case like this you have to be philosophical. And I’m just going to try to take the advice of a very wise woman named Lady Gaga. I believe she said, ‘Just dance. It’ll be okay. Just dance.’”
He totally stole that from Ellen, but I'm okay with it.

That will be the last time I watch that show, though. Maybe I'll catch the finale, but it's highly doubtful. I'd rather be watching The Game on BET.

who are vh1's 2009 divas?

A couple years back VH1 stopped doing their "Divas" concert that featured "some of pop music’s most talented female artists." This year, they're back to do it again.

They have picked 4 of today's most popular and talented female artists to star in the concert... Or so they say.

Who have they picked? Adele, Leona Lewis, Kelly Clarkson and Miley Cyrus.

Uhh.. WHAT?!?! Sure, everyone thinks Adele is talented, and Miley is running the teeny bopper charts, but are these 4 really the divas of right now?!

In the past it's been people like Beyonce, Diana Ross, Tina Turner, Cher, Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin, Mary J. Blige, and Shania Twain. Does Leona Lewis' 2-hit-wonder really match up? What about Adele's not-so-famous-in-the-US self? Does she?

Don't even get me started on Miley's childish self. Kelly- I love her... But she won Idol 6 seasons ago. She's no longer the most popular one.

VH1 is just plain stupid nowadays. Their shows are stupid. They pick stupid people to be divas. And they only have ridiculously stupid people on all of their programming.

Congratulations, VH1. You suck at life.

PS: The show will air on Sept. 17 at 9/8c. Yes, I'll be stupid watching.

vh1 is becoming worse than mtv

I'm not sure how reality TV became so absolutely terrible, but it has. [As much as I love it, some of these shows have got to go and be replaced with regular shows again.] VH1 is easily the leader in "stupid, got-to-go shows."

Now, they're adding to their list of shows that I won't watch, but many probably will.

The casting call: Girls who have been married to, had babies with, or hooked up with A-list celebs or athletes in the past and have something to share with the world. Oh wow. Really?!

This will be a lot of dirty laundry being aired and a lot of "OMG this #@*&^@% has a small package and does NOT know how to work it so you B's better stay AWAY from him!!... No way, I don't want him no more!"

And the biggest fans will be those who WANT to be the women who are starring. Gross.

But okay fine, I'll watch it once. That's it, though!!

new tv coming your way

There's two new shows coming up, and they're definitely worth mentioning.

Sick of the Bachelor? I believe that all hott guys are just a-holes, so I like the new idea that FOX has. It's the Bachelor for the "average sized woman" looking for the "Kevin James-type."

They're also calling it the "plus-size" version. Hmmm.

[The REAL name is "More to Love"]

I'm all about the average looking people. And I'd totally date Kevin James. He seems funny. But I don't know that "average" is plus size. And if it is, well, America, we have a problem.

They're in the casting stages right now, with no air date set. But yes, People Magazine, I will watch it. It'll probably even be better than stupid Jason Mesnick.

I Love New York is back, too. Well, New York is. And she's going to work... On VH1's "New York Goes to Work."

Yes, really. They're milking her for all she's worth... Which I'd like to say is nothing, but apparently not.

She'll try out a bunch of different jobs in which viewers can text in and vote on to see which job she has to keep. Then, if she keeps it for a week, she'll get $5,000. It starts May 4th.

Ugh. Really, VH1?! Do we REALLY need any more of this girl in our lives?! Sure, she's entertaining, but it got old at least 3 shows ago.

So count me in for MTL, but NYGTW... A big fat NEGATIVE.

raising the bar

Okay really.. When it comes to "For the Love of Ray J," and the never ending Rock of Love and Flavor of Love shows on VH1, there is an endless amount of bad things you could say about all of them.

However, there is one thing that is undeniable, and really the worst of them all. It is setting the bar of skankiness up way too high.

I mean really.. It's a competition of who can be the most slutty, while still receiving every dream date you could ever imagine. And that's not something EVERYONE can have! It's creating false hopes.

And if you don't believe me, maybe you believe these people:

It's true.. Less than 2% of skanks will ever ride in a limo. And not everyone can take a crap in a mansion.

And if you don't have a double pierced belly button, pff, you're basically nothing!

You heard it here, straight from a former skank and her news team.

being put on hold

Hope no one was too excited or looking forward to "Rock of Love Bus with Bret Michaels"...

Turns out one of his crew members fell asleep at the wheel of a production van and crashed... and killed two 19-year-olds. (It happened Friday..)

Bret says "As a father of two, I cannot even imagine what the families must be going through at this time. I will make every attempt to reach out to them to let them know that my heart and prayers are with them during their time of grief” in a statement he released.. yet, sources say he has not yet contacted the families at all.. Yikes.

Cmon Bret.. don't you know when you apologize publicly you're supposed to mean it? And you're supposed to do something to "correct" the issue?

VH1 at it again

Don't even worry, guys..

VH1 is trying to make as many spinoff-spinoff-spinoffs as they possibly can..

How would you feel about "A Real Chance at Love"???

That's right... a "find your true love" show about the infamous VH1 brothers is coming your way soon... maybe even as early as November.

I just have one question--> How many shows can one station have.. that a) has the same characters?? and b) HAS THE WORD LOVE IN IT?!?!

goodness gracious they're wearin me out,

here we go again

Looks like all of you "Rock of Love" fans have not only one thing to look forward to.. but TWO!

Yeaa, the oh-so-clever show is coming up with two spin-offs. One with the rocker we have grown to love so much, Bret, and the other to the girl we have come to "love," Daisy de la Hoya.

To Bret's "credit," it will be called "Rock of Love Bus"... aka, the show will all be on his tour bus.. so that he can really find someone to ride or die with....

..............

Daisy's show will find her the man of her dreams.

...........................

Rightttt... I'm thinkin it's going to find all of us another New York.. what do you think?

I also think it might be time for you to step out of the box, VH1.. but I'm no TV expert..
