the challenge: rivals podcast- mike and leroy dish it out

Everyone anticipated this season of the Challenge, so I wonder how y'all are feelin' about it so far...?! Do tell!
Link
In the meantime, I was able to rope our favorite Las Vegas boys in for a podcast about their progress, being the rookies of the season, and other things we don't get to see after the edits happened.

Plus, as usual, they didn't hold back on how they really felt about some things. When it comes to Wes, Leroy says " After seeing him on the show, I got some words for him." He also told me who he calls "Snowflake," and who cock-blocked him [and from who! ah!].

MikeMike talks about how he wasn't afraid of anyone, and even had the nerve to stand up to a certain monster on day one! I also had to get to the bottom of him and Miss Paula.

It's all things Rivals, and a little added drama thanks to Johnny Bananas suing Entourage. Find out what they think in the podcast below!

Woahdang! They need to stop teasing me before I end up at their houses ready to go! [JK, boys... don't worry.... kinda.....]

Thanks again to them! Still rooting for them to make it to the end; Fingers crossed I didn't jinx it!

real world las vegas podcast: leroy wraps things up

It's time to officially say goodbye to the Real World: Las Vegas, and what better way to do it than get another roommate on the phone to clear things up for us.

I've been trying to get Leroy, our favorite guy and Most Real roommate, on the show for a while, and we finally made it happen today, while he took a break from being a trash man. [Yes! He's still working as usual, just taking some breaks to party!]

Roylee is so smart and wise, knows what he's doing and what he's done, and answered all of my questions to the point. And just like he did on the show, he kept it really real.
"I'm the same lee as before I did the show... I'm not a celebrity. And even if you are, that doesn't make you better. A lot of people whow atch the show... you inspire them, so for me to be a dickhead to them when they come up to me.. that would be rude."
He also said what we've been saying all season- It was a good one. It showed real people in real situations, just as the show used to.
"The show is about the storyline... How Nany evolved from where she was with Adam, to the end. That's the stuff people need to see... the stuff I went through with the STD thing... they his the real, big topics."
Most importantly, he answered a lot of questions we've had:
  • What's up with Dustin and Heather now?
  • Nany and Adam?
  • His biggest regret
  • Who he wouldn't want as a roommate
  • How far Nany and Heather went
And more, duh. Just listen to him be awesome:

Again thanks to Leroy, and I shall end it with my favorite philisophical quote he said:
"Learn. Change. Grow." As you get older and as you evolve, you need to learn, change, and grow.

because you want to know: the best/worst of the mtv movie awards' red carpet

One of the things I love about MTV awards shows is the fashion. It's a little less formal than others, and people show their personality more.

The red carpet for last night's MTV Movie Awards was actually rather lame, but some stood out enough to make my best and worst dressed!

As for the best:

Love them both, and they look classic pretty.

Can I please have Kayla Ewell's dress as my birthday suit for this weekend?! Kthanks. Sparkles + pretty legs= win, duh.

I hate Harry Potter, but both Emma's looked great!

Sure, Josh Duhamel has always been kinda hott, but last night I was all HEYBOYHEYYY! Romeo looked snazzy with the all white top and hipster glasses. Diggin' it.

As for THE best- I LOVED Mila Kunis. I want this outfit NOW. It's pretty simple for a red carpet, but it's fantastic. That is all.

And the mistakes:

Brooklyn Decker's sparkles are way too much and apparently Jessica Szohr had nothing better to wear than curtains.

Amanda Bynes- WHAT are those shoes?! Way too much. She also had a nasty look on her face after losing the best one-liner award.. That wasn't cute. As for Lil Mama- we don't need to say anything.

I normally love Selena Gomez's outfits, but this one is just weird to me. I don't get it. As for Nikki Reed- not only was her dress ugly, but the whole engagement to Paul McDonald months after he didn't even know who she was is kinda tacky.

Trey Songz is one of my top sexy men in life, but that scarf has got to go, and his smile has got to come back. As for Reese Witherspoon- Am I the only one who thought she just looked and acted like a hott mess last night? A little reminiscent of Britney in all the bad ways.

As for other notables:

The Real World: Las Vegas cast were lookin' like pros! I wish Dustin would have tied his tie, but the matching with him and Heather is awfully cute. And Adam- Dang boy. If only you weren't a drunken hott mess all the time... the things I'd do to you....

MTV hosts looking dapper as always! JC and Kevin Manno sporting the tighter outfits that I'm not complaining about, and Lenay Dunn's dress was very "prom," but it was pretty!

Of course, I'm no fashion expert or anything, and this is just my opinion, but who else's opinion counts? Pfft. No one's.

the real world las vegas cast awards

Well, that's a wrap, folks! Real World: Las Vegas is said and done [after a reunion and some Sh!t They Shoulda Shown, anyway] and though I don't want to do my full reaction write-up yet, I do want to hand out awards.

We took a lot of polls in last night's finale chat, as usual, to figure out these winners! So, without further ado, congrats-

Leroy is a no brainer for favorite guy of the cast. He kept it real all season, but also learned some valuable lessons. Watching him on UStream after the show last night, he said every time he did something he made sure he thought about it first, knowing the cameras were around. He didn't want to portray the "typical black stereotype like Ty." I think he did an excellent job at that.

No wonder Naomi and Leroy got along so well! They're both so real, funny, and straight up! Naomi was the spunky girl from the Bronx and did it well! Add in the scare of being pregnant or having and STD, and being an awesome friend to Nany and Heather, and you got yourself someone worth watching.

No brainer. It was hard to really hate any of the guys besides Adam when you look at the season as a whole. Though the show wouldn't have been what it was without him, he's not someone we'd like to party or live with.

Go ahead, feel bad for the new girl. I do. That doesn't excuse her from coming in and trying to break up couples and just be unlikeable. There must be something fun about Cooke if Leroy and Mike are so close with her, but the show didn't show it. To us, she's the home-wrecking grooms-woman.

Sure, Dustin and Heather are the cutest Barbie and Ken couple to be on reality TV in years, and Leroy and Naomi had a pretty sweet deal going on, but let's be honest- Leroy and Mike were the cutest duo of the season. Always there for each other, holding hands, etc... Presh.

The best storyline was a tie, but technically the same. Heather and Dustin's relationship, along with Dustin's interesting past took the cake because it was interesting to see it all unfold and progress, but it wasn't too much to handle.

There were quite a bit of fights this season, and all involving different people! But let's be honest... the best is Adam vs. Hard Rock security. Not only did he get multiple strikes then kicked out, he tried to tickle their fancy again by trying to sneak in when coming to visit. Unfortunately, he lost.

This is really a no brainer. One of the hottest moments ever on the Real World- The Nany/Heather hook-up.

There were some really gut-wrenching moments this season, and though Nany finding out about her dad was a close second, Leroy finding out about his friend in the finale gets this. Seeing a grown man, who hasn't shown much emotion until now, sob the way he did- it's hard to watch.

I think Mike provided the most laughs for me throughout the season in general, but when he made his Sexiled Island tent, nothing can top that. Plus, during the after show when he imitated his roommates' sex noises- hands down funniest moment.

The roommates may not have known it at the time, but Leroy knew what he was doing when he was smashing things on the floor like Adam did. He was proving a point, did it perfectly, and even cleaned up his mess afterward. Epic win.

We didn't have to tell Nany about this; she admitted it in the finale. When she dumped her boyfriend of six years for a guy like Adam, then didn't listen to her roommates when they told her it was a bad idea, she looked like a dumb B. She came back and proved herself to be smarter later, so hopefully now she has learned from her fail that she deserves a lot better.

It's hard to remember all the one-liners that made us laugh, but if there's one that we quoted the most in the chat, it was for sure Dustin's "but who's going to do his hair?" comment during his fight with Mike in Cancun. It was comedic relief in an awkward and annoying fight.

We said all season that finally Bunim-Murray had gotten the equation right again, but after the ending last night, they lost major points. The music was perfect when they walked out, but it doesn't have the same effect when they all walk out together instead of one by one. I felt like I was standing outside naked waiting for something else to happen and make me complete.

And that's that! Do you agree? Any disagreements or praises can always be left in the comment box! I don't host the chats for nothing... I value and want your opinion!

Here's to another season behind us, and hopefully an epic reunion ahead of us!

I'm torn on whether or not we should make this happen tonight [American Idol finale is right before it, duhh!], but I'm going to go ahead and give it a go!

Pretty sure we only have two more episodes of this season, so let's end it strong! Join me for the end of Idol and tonight's episode of the Real World: Las Vegas!

It might kick off earlier than usual because of Idol, so pay attention if you're a fan of both! ;)

exclusive real world las vegas interview: heather marter

FINALLY! Another Real World: Las Vegas podcast!

Heather's been going through a lot since Adam left, between finding out Dustin's crazy past to having to deal with Cooke's goal to ruin their relationship.

Our chatrooms always have quite a bit of debate whenever talking about her situations, so having her explain how things really went down should help us all understand and maybe even relate.

She definitely shared a lot of stuff that wasn't shown. For example- It definitely wasn't the first time her and Nany had made out, and Dustin wasn't the only one she was hooking up with, even at this point in the show.

And when it comes to falling really hard, really fast, she said she could relate to the Bachelor/Bachelorette:

"When you're put in these reality shows, it's not as real as you would be in every day life 'cuz there is no distraction."

Check out the entire interview:

This is the first time I've talked to cast members who don't hold back about talking ish about their roommates. These people really don't like some of their roommates, and they're not afraid to let it be known. REAL.

Thanks again to Heather! Hopefully I'll get her back on at the end of the season for the wrap-up podcast!

real world las vegas live chat- they know dustin's secret!

Alright, I have some stuff to explain about tonight's chat.

It may or may not be happening on time. I have my final kickball tournament tonight, and we play until we lose! So, technically- I could be done at 7, or I could be done late tonight.

As soon as I am done, I will come straight home and launch the chat if I'm on time. If I miss a significant portion of the episode, I will plan on launching the chat during the second airing of the new episode. If no one shows up, of course I'll be sad, but I'll totally understand. If you'd like to wait, I'll love you forever.

No matter what, I will definitely be here ready to chat for one of the times, whether you are or not!

Hope to see you tonight! Jemmye mentioned coming to chat soon, so hopefully we'll be chatting with her in a few hours!

Also- I've been talking to Leeroy, and as soon as we can figure out a time good for both of us, he'll definitely be on podcast. Sorry for the delay, but sometimes it's out of my hands!

It's going to be a CRAZY episode, and I think we all know what's coming... So why not watch it together and rip into all the "bad guys" of the show! Okay, that's mean, I admit it.. but this chat is about being honest and talking about what we see, so set your alarm and be here at 10/9c!

BTW- I held off on a podcast this week because of the "to be continued..." so I'll pick it back up next week!

real world las vegas: beyond the cameras interview with adam royer

I asked everyone in last week's chat who they'd like me to talk to next, and it was pretty unanimous that Adam needed to get on the phone ASAP. Here we go!

Adam is obviously pretty uncensored and candid, so I made sure I was that way, too. Neither of us held back and kept it honest and Real.

His attitude is pretty unreal, but I'm kinda jealous of it. As much as I don't like the way he treats other people, he's just doin' him and not having any regrets.
"Hey, that's my personality. I'm kinda crazy, have a don't give a f#@* attitude... I'm not ashamed of it at all.
I have no regrets on the show at all. I went out there, I had the best time of my life, lived it up, partied it up, hooked up with some hott chics, broke up a six year relationship... What else could you ask for?"
We also talked about Nany [of course], how his family is liking the show, his intense issues with Leroy, and THE question: Who he'd bang, kill, and marry.

Oh, and his relationship with Deena from the Jersey Shore, and what MTV show you might see him on soon!

Like I said, if I were one of his roommates, I'd probably want to punch him in the face for all the fighting and drama out at the bars... But I'm not one of his roommates, and that's what makes his attitude hilarious and almost admirable. Sometimes I definitely wish I could not care about anything and be a little selfish.. I think we all do.

If you have someone you want me to talk to or have any questions for anyone- let me know!

love,
elizabethany

PS: Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be having a chat this week. :( Tim Halperin is having a show here in town as part of his tour, and I have to be there. This. Week. Is. Crazy. FORGIVE ME! <3

real world las vegas: beyond the real world cameras podcast with mike ross

They're bacckkkkk!! Say hello to the "Beyond the Real World Cameras" podcasts! FINALLY!

Introducing this season in Las Vegas is none other than the guy from NoVA- Mike Ross.

We talked first impressions of each cast member, who he'd bang, marry, and kill, who he thought would beat him up, and exactly how his grandmother feels about him on the show.

Plus- A little rivalry between two East Coast schools- UMD and WVU.

I think that's one of my favorites I've ever done, including RWDC! He's fun. I enjoy him. "Must be that VA in us!"

Don't forget! NEW EPISODE tonight! And we'll be live chatting it right here on loveelizabethany.com! Be here at 10/9c!
