most desirable men's winter fashion

I got a message from Aaron on Facebook asking if I could put together a post with examples of guy's fashion that I/other betches like me might enjoy.

Thing is... as simple as it could be for guys to get dressed every day, there really are a lot of different styles/trends that look different on everyone... so you have to go with what's you. Also... I'm still nowhere near being a fashion guru. I'm still struggling to figure out my own way through that world, let alone give tips for dudes... but here we are.

I will say that the absolute most important thing, no matter what a guy is wearing, is the way it fits. There is absolutely nothing sexier than a man in a good pair of jeans [or pants in general]. Oh, and a good walk.... there's something about a good, confident walk...

I looked to my BFF Pinterest to come up with some examples of outfits/looks that did something to me..

I'm still not sure how I feel about the rolled jeans trend... but sometimes they work. With this outfit, I'm mostly liking the shoes and shirt and the ease of it all.

Pretty sure I would immediately hump someone wearing this. It's good and casual but seems like there's some effort involved.

Again, I'm not sure all guys can pull off a cardigan... but if you make it look laid back and not too prepster, I'm into it.

I just started noticing this style of sweater. It's almost like a modern turtleneck, right? Well, probably not... but it's a good thing to pick up if you see one on clearance these days [cuz the seasons are changing, fellas... so sales are everywhere!]

I enjoy the mix of patterns/fabric of these if you're getting a little more fancy. Especially that tie/jacket up there... and paisley ties.. yes please!

This is my BFF DanChiz. He rocks the rolled jeans, but especially the sweaters. Also... he knows his ties and has a lot of giveaways of all kinds on his blog.

Also... tWitch, who has been Ellen's "guest DJ" quite a bit this season and was on SYTYCD and had the most adorable wedding ever, has a really laid back but fun style that I always enjoy. [Unless it's the overall personality/gyration that I'm constantly enjoying... hard to say.] She has a whole board dedicated to her DJ's style!

Fashion is always about your personality, but this is just some examples of what my personality would be attracted to... and I think a solid amount of girls would agree with me. Just make sure it fits you... your body and who you are.

what ya wearin wednesday 012313

Oooh, this was a good week! I don't even need to say any more, just see for yourself!

I am OBSESSED with @karaamoore's dress!

@danchiz looks amazing as always with his sweater, plaid, and bowtie!

It's a hella cold day, and @showmewhytheycallyouruthless is beyond prepared and looking cute in layers!

@BusterRadio and @AydiosMijo look overdressed for a studio, but good in their button-downs and ridiculous poses! ;)

I LOVE @kelsey_alyce's combo of everything! The pants and feminine everything, but the boots toughen it up!

I have got to get me some of those printed tights that @simplysarah4 is wearing!

Look how comfy-cute @brittany_linder looks in that tie-up cardigan!

@toribabyy14 added on to her original Pinspired mint jeans outfit to make it fitting for this freezing day!

@jannashepherd was lucky and warm in Texas, and rockin' a cute pattern!

GET. OUT. right?!?! How stinking cute is @siarrahhh's pup in it's little hoodie?! I can't even deal.

Moustafa on Facebook bundled up with long-johns and wool socks. Smart man.

Also obsessed with @KaciKruz's outfit! She got that blue blazer for $20, and I love pairing it with the graphic tee and grey booties!

More combat boots on @cadyeimer today! It contrasts the lacy stripes well!

@HazzaHasSwag was lucky with no school today! Got to stay in PJ's!

@ainsleeboswell "just threw this together," but you'd never know! Looks awesome!

And @ksnedegar said she was "grandma-ish" today, but I don't think so! Those bows on the shoes are fabulous!

It's hard to live up to all of those ridiculously cute outfits today, but I had mint on my mind after the post the other day.

-blouse from Target clearance, about $15
-belt free on a dress at F21
-I went back to get these jeans from Papaya because they're the same as my red ones that I've been loving so much. Unfortunately, I think I got the wrong size-- $16

My scarf was a gift from one of my best guy friend's, straight from the streets of Cambodia! Didn't he do a fantastic job picking it out?! Totally one of my faves now!

And these shoes I got at F21 Clearance for only $10 yesterday!

I'm so excited about this post! You guys are beautiful! Feel free to set an alarm for yourself every Wednesday like some people do! It'll remind you to send me your pics, and I wanna see more of your face!

[On a scale of 1-10, how creepy do I sound right now?!]

danchiz's pinspired geek chic style

Time for another guest Pinspired post! You might remember [one of my favorite people] DanChiz from the MTV TJ competition. Now he's an amazing style blogger and still kicking social media ass. He also enjoys Pinterest fashion just as much as I do, and has mastered the art of copying an outfit with different items.

-----

I think of my style as geek chic. I like to take classic men's looks and make them more fitted. I like a tight look rather than a loose feeling.

I took inspiration from a post on Pinterest (the left look) and recreated it my way. The post from Pinterest is all full price clothing that retails significantly higher than my recreation. I searched the likes of Gilt, Loehman's and Bluefly to recreate the look. I think I did pretty well!

As you notice, my look is significantly more fitted than the Pinterest post. I kept the same color scheme and even managed to find a tartan tie that resembled the one from the Pinterest look. The only thing I did not manage to directly recreate was the desert boots. Desert boots can be a little pricey and boat shoes don't kill the bank account so I decided to wear those in the look.

Think I faired well? Let me know!

You can find out more about my style on my blog, danchiz.com! And follow my Pinterest for my style inspiration!

-----

How great is he?! Everyone really should have a pocket DanChiz to carry with them everywhere, but since society frowns upon shrinking and cloning people, make sure you follow him. It's the next best thing.

I'd love to feature someone every week! So speak up if you'd like to be featured! [You don't have to be a  fancy style blogger!]

nifty: i got moo cards from klout!

People who tell me social media is silly still make me laugh, really hard, very loud. If you haven't already figured it out, it's pretty easy to make extra money, get free stuff, get jobs, etc.

If you're on Klout, you can get even more free things with all of their perks!

They're offering 100 free "moo cards," which are basically smaller business cards that are 100% customizable by you. You can have 100 different backs if you want, and whatever you want as the common front.

I chose to make 6 different backs, with the front featuring all of my main social media accounts. Here are the pretties:

If you pay attention to them, you'll see my new logo that I'm gonna start using more, and also "elizabethany.com" as my website. Yes, this here blog will be changing to that shortly thanks to issues that I'll explain later.

I plan on doing a lot more street marketing/interviews for my show, and these are perfect for that. Everyone I interview, meet, or talk to, I can just pass one of these to them and BAM! Hopefully I score me a new follower!

Overall, they're great quality. Some of them have some printing imperfections, but only something that my perfectionist self would notice. I think they're something people will enjoy and keep!

Holler if you got some too! I wanna see your design! DanChiz's have a QR code which I totally wish I would have added!

my oh so pinterest'ing weekend- buffalo chicken mac & cheese, crafts, and more!

It's a known fact I've become a little bit more than addicted to Pinterest. BUT... good thing is: It's helping me become more of a girl and save all of the things that were broken during the move.
Bad thing: It's also making me a bit of a hoarder, but I don't like to focus on the negatives in life.

The past couple days have been FULL of Pinteresting. [That word has now officially replaced the word "crafting."] I've literally taken a house that looked like broken trash and turned it into my first big girl house thanks to all the ideas I've gotten from that website.

I'll keep updating you on everything I do because I like to show off, but here's the first couple things I did this weekend:

First off, the FOOD.

Putting an egg inside a green pepper is so simple, but I never thought about it before.. and lemme tell ya- It's the PERFECT midday snack.

As soon as I saw pictures of Buffalo Chicken Mac and Cheese, I died and went to Heaven. I HAD to make it for my coworkers and roommates this weekend. I used DanChiz's recipe as a guide, and it was bangin. Only thing I would change in the future: Deduct the pepperjack cheese, and add in a little more buffalo sauce.

Also, if you're cheap like me, feel free to make some shredded chicken with buffalo sauce and add it into the blue box of Velveeta. I'm sure it'd still be pretty delicious.

Now onto the objects.

First of all, really simple, turning a broken frame into something useful.

I had a set of maybe 13 frames, and about 3 of them were completely demolished, and 2 of them had broken glass. Luckily, I had some old cork-board squares that I never hung up in my old office! I cut one of them to be the size of this frame, and put it at the front door among other frames so that my roommate and I could hang our mail, notes, keys, anything.

Remember in college when you kept all your liquor bottles throughout the year to show off? Yeah, well, I still do that most of the time. For no reason. UNTIL NOW.

Turning wine and liquor bottles into vases or just pretty bottles= GREAT.

If you decorate it a little with puffy paint beforehand, it makes a plain color look super awesome! Then all you have to do is spray paint a couple coats over it and VOILA! I obviously plan on making another one, but these are the two I already had emptied and cleaned. They're not perfect if you look up close, but if you get up out their business, they're all good!

Those are my little projects from the weekend! I also revamped pieces of furniture, which I'll share with you in depth this week!

OMG IT'S LIKE..... IT'S LIKE I'M A GIRL OR SOMETHING.

watch: stephen colbert takes on talking vagina ads with "hail to the d"

If you haven't seen the new Summer's Eve commercials, you need to. They start out by welcoming you to Vaginaland. 'Nuff said.

He decided to make his own version of the handsy, talking hoo-ha's and welcome you to Penisylvania.

Tears are coming out of my eyes right now from laughter. SO good.

Watch the full segment here, and thanks to DanChiz who always sends me things having to do with vaginas. What a good friend.

watch: fabulous dancing throughout the subway

Oh, looky here... Another video of someone busting out with random acts in front of random people.

This oh-so-fabulous man named Phil dance-walked throughout the Subway, taking random's hats and sitting with strangers along the way.

It's funny because New Yorkers are probably so used to this by now that when they see a camera, they just deal with it. They make no reaction. HOW CAN YOU NOT LAUGH AT THIS?! Silly New Yorkers. Loosen up, would ya?

I'm surprised it's not DanChiz who did this. It reminds me of him booty droppin.
