watch: hundreds of people swoon over fake celebrity in nyc

A couple months ago, a dude from Virginia Beach pretended to be famous in a local mall and a ton of people fell for it. I thought that was amazing...

Then this dude did the same thing in NYC, and HUNDREDS of people fell for it.

He did everything right, that's for sure. Showin' the check, shades at night, ridiculously ugly but gigantic security guards...

And via Gawker:
While the assistants and photographers waited for Brett to exit the 49th street marquee at NBC Studios, they started a buzz that a "big star" was about to walk out, thus making it worth their while to wait and get a picture. Many asked the crew who Brett was, and no answer was given. They were forced to either make something up, or just take a picture with him in hopes that their Facebook friends or Twitter followers might have a better idea.
As the crew walked over to Times Square, the crowds around Brett grew on each consecutive block. Very few people even questioned who he was, where he was from, or what he does. Brett took pictures with nearly 300 people before the stunt ended.

Yep. This is another one of those "I'm so jealous of this person on YouTube" moments for me.

watch: old ladies do crazy things on public transportation

Just when I thought I had posted everything crazy that you love to see in NYC, a woman has to go and shower on the Subway. I mean... she just needed to wash up real quick, I don't know why people had to go and tape it! [THANK YOU.]

http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif
That of course sparked more videos of crazy ladies over on Buzzfeed, and I'm proud to say I have posted most of them on here before!

One I missed- this old lady straight fuh-REAKING out when her plane is landing.

Can you imagine being homeboy sitting next to her?! Next to EITHER of them! I would have lost it RIGHT AWAY!

Oh, old ladies, thank you for providing me with laughs once you go batsh!t crazy.

things you'll only see in nyc

NYC is unique. Duh. Every time I go to that place, even if I go to the exact same spots, it's like it's a whole new place with new people.

Anyway, that's all cliche, so I'll just get to the point. I love NYC because it's possible to see things like this:

TWO DAMN DOLLAS! Hello Kitty getting arrested! A grown ass man with a tiny dog in a mini backpack! Seriously. What a beautiful and magical place... and I haven't even touched on the Asian man in a bra and.... other things.

New York, New York.. I love and miss you dearly. That is all.

watch: these people are why i love the nyc subway

I think the best thing about NYC is the weird you see in public.... especially the subway.

This guy has STILETTOS and boy shorts, is pole dancing, and even starts a mini dance party with other randoms. So good.

He is straight up giving a lapdance to that lady, and she just has to sit and take it. That's awesome. You think New Yorkers don't have patience?! Let me see YOU put up with that and not do anything about it.

watch: guy goes absolutely nuts and naked on subway

This guy is freaking INSANE!

I'm hoping he's drunk, but I'm assuming it's a little more than that. He goes crazy on the Subway for whatever reason, rips off his clothes, screams at a cop, and then starts robbing innocent people.

PLEASE BE AWARE: He is naked. You can see everything! But because I'm giving you fair warning, and you're not forced to watch, I'm not putting it on the xxx page!

I love how the guy filming was not afraid to get all up in his business, and the cops don't even say anything. I bet they were excited to watch this on YouTube before bed.

Crazy people, I tell ya, they keep this Internet thing interesting on an otherwise boring day.

watch: steve kardynal was born this way all over nyc

This guy is seriously a YouTube genius.

Please welcome Steve back into your life. Again.

This time he's dancing on the Subway, in the middle of Times Square, and skating at Rockefeller... all while wearing Lady Gaga-approved outfits.

The video is so simple for this one. He's not doing anything more than what I did for my rap video. Unless of course you include the massive amounts of people, the ridiculous outfits, and the fact that it's a guy wearing a leotard.

I wish I could be his bestie. I also wish I knew someone around here that would be willing to do stuff like this with/for me. It's not always as funny when a chic does it.

In fact, I want a guy in Texas, who has some serious balls and absolutely no shame, more than I want a Sugar Daddy. Yeah, I said it. Who's ready to step up to the plate? I freakin' dare you.

Thank you, Steve. You inspire people everywhere. ;)

how to hijack a times square video billboard

If I would've known I could hack into a NYC billboard as easy as this guy makes it seem, I woulda done it during the MTV TJ stuff so I could have gotten my OWN billboard like "SHOULDA PICKED ME!"

This guy puts a couple gadgets on his iPhone, grabs a balloon, and BAM! He's famous.

This is his simple explanation:
he way it works is pretty simple: plug in my transmitter into the iphone 4 and play back any video clip. you can play it through the ipod feature or through the camera roll. the transmitter instantly sends the video signal to the video repeater and the video repeater overrides any video screen that it's being held next to. it doesn't matter what shape or size the hacked screen is because the hack video will simply keep its correct dimensions and the rest of the hacked space will stay black.

I mean, I don't know where I can get all those repeaters and transmitters and stuff, and I may need a smartphone for this, but once I figure it out- NYC HERE I COME. Watch out!

watch: fabulous dancing throughout the subway

Oh, looky here... Another video of someone busting out with random acts in front of random people.

This oh-so-fabulous man named Phil dance-walked throughout the Subway, taking random's hats and sitting with strangers along the way.

It's funny because New Yorkers are probably so used to this by now that when they see a camera, they just deal with it. They make no reaction. HOW CAN YOU NOT LAUGH AT THIS?! Silly New Yorkers. Loosen up, would ya?

I'm surprised it's not DanChiz who did this. It reminds me of him booty droppin.

awesome photography- dancing through nyc

I'm a huge fan of photography. [I wish I had the time and money to add it to my list of hobbies.] A good series can keep me occupied for a while, just like this one.

Jordan Matter takes photos of dancers in "normal, every day scenes throughout New York City." These pictures are absolutely beautiful, breath taking, and downright COOL because of the different scenes and settings.

Ah! Are they not AWESOME?! Maybe it's the gymnast/dancer/NYC-lover in me, but I think you should catch the love, too. Just sayin'- You can see the rest here.

watch: the rent is too damn high mayorial party in nyc

This guy, Jimmy McMillan is running for Democratic candidate for the race to become NYC's mayor... and he's currently representing the Rent Is Too Damn High Party.

By the sound of this party name and speech, I'd say he's the front runner.

Okay, so maybe he's not going to actually win... but who knows! Ya never know what's going to happen in NYC! The possibilities are ENDLESS!

Plus, with a strong, persuasive speech and a way to really touch the people [AKA viral videos], I'd say the chances are pretty strong.

Be on the lookout for an auto-tuned version of this speech.

nifty: the hopsicle experience

Have you ever accidentally frozen a can of beer and thrown it a way?!

In the future: DON'T! In fact- freeze it on purpose!

A bar in NYC has created "The Hopsicle Experience," which is the grown-up's version of a popsicle. They take a can of beer, add a little simple syrup and lime juice, then jam a wooden stick through it and freeze it for a few days.

When the customer orders it, they slice off the can and you push the frozen beer up, eat it, and repeat.

Whattt! Part of me thinks it sounds dull and not good, but the other half is ready to go pick up a case and try it for myself. What do you think? You wanna give it a whirl with me?! We could totally make a party of it!

watch: breakdancing granny

OMG! If you've never seen a grandma breakdance[which I'm assuming you haven't], you need to watch this so that your life will be complete.

And don't you dare stop it early. She gets dowwwnnn! Literally.

She's so serious about it!!! Amazing.

Apparently this happened at a block party in NYC. I can only assume it was the Mad Decent & Jelly Block Party in Brooklyn this past weekend. The one we thought about going, but didn't. Ugh. Always go with your gut or you miss out on greatness!

Granny, you're my hero.

watch: hey jude gathering in nyc subway

It's a known fact I've wanted nothing more than to be a part of a flash mob, huge gathering, or just viral video in general. It's rumored that the reason the Real World DC clan had to leave earlier than planned is because of my plan to flash-mob-Macarena the house the day before their departure. Woopsies.

Now you should be able to understand my disappointment and anger that I missed out on the latest one in NYC, ONE DAY after I was there.

A group gathered at the Times Square subway station Saturday night to sing Hey Jude.

Look at all the people taping it and all the people! They clearly know this is an epic moment. Ugh.

When will someone plan something and give me a special invite?! I'm impatiently waiting...
