the fabulous fashion at lady gaga's concert

Because I work at night, I don't get to experience any of the epic shows that come through the city... BUT.. after seeing what people wore to Ke$ha's show last year [btw I refuse to remove the dollar sign] and seeing examples of little monsters at previous shows, I had to see it for myself.

It took 45 minutes to get to the Verizon Center each way, and I only had 25 minutes to get some videos and dinner, but seeing the people there really is something special and worth experiencing.

[If anyone knows of any secrets to making sure the quality doesn't suck after uploading, holler atchya girl.]

Here's some screenshots

These two had people FREAKING OUT, and rightfully so. Look at homeboy's face to the left. That was everyone as they walked by. They took pics and signed things. Maybe they were someone important and I'm oblivious, who knows.

I thought I went all out for 90s concerts... Pfft. I'm gonna sit my ass down now. Props, Little Monsters.

on the racks: lady gaga is naked head to toe for v magazine [nsfw]

It's obvious we're going to get a whole new Lady Gaga this time around, and... I don't know if I'm intrigued or really just don't care.

Either way, she stripped down everything for a recent shoot with V Magazine. She [seemingly] has little to no make-up on and not many clothes, either.

There will be four different covers for every little monster to collect, but it seems like this could be one of them [unless I suck at research and this is actually old].

There are also more pictures over yonder, between a bunch of words from another language that totally don't matter.

I also can't decide if I think these are beautiful or not. I do think she looks great in the last one, even though she's failing at covering up her nips. Stripping down and showing the real you is always more beautiful than wearing a meat dress, but why the mud? The dark hair isn't working for me either.

...Don't mind me... I'm just over-judging these pictures way too much... and am going to continue to do so.

PS This is her latest date night outfit, so she's not stripping off all of her weird.

listen/watch: sam tsui's summer song medley

As usual, I'm obsessed with Sam Tsui's latest upload. He combined the biggest songs of the Summer [a couple weeks/months late, but I'm not mad at him] in one song that you will totally love.

Ugh, it's so good! And now that he's doing this stuff, it's like I don't know if I like his or DJ Earworm's mash-ups better! Good thing they're sorta different enough to enjoy both unconditionally!

If you wanna download it for free, holler at it here.

PS: If you were wondering, the songs included are:
  • Edge of Glory
  • Give Me Everything
  • Last Friday Night
  • Super Bass
  • Party Rock Anthem

lady gaga's penis shoes

It's no secret I'm pretty anti-Gaga, but every once in a while she does something I can get behind.

Last week when she was on Idol, I heard she had "female tools" on her shoes, and now that I've seen them, she just won some much needed plus points.

I wonder what my mom [and/or my boss] would say if I scored me a pair just like this?! Hmmm...

watch: steve kardynal was born this way all over nyc

This guy is seriously a YouTube genius.

Please welcome Steve back into your life. Again.

This time he's dancing on the Subway, in the middle of Times Square, and skating at Rockefeller... all while wearing Lady Gaga-approved outfits.

The video is so simple for this one. He's not doing anything more than what I did for my rap video. Unless of course you include the massive amounts of people, the ridiculous outfits, and the fact that it's a guy wearing a leotard.

I wish I could be his bestie. I also wish I knew someone around here that would be willing to do stuff like this with/for me. It's not always as funny when a chic does it.

In fact, I want a guy in Texas, who has some serious balls and absolutely no shame, more than I want a Sugar Daddy. Yeah, I said it. Who's ready to step up to the plate? I freakin' dare you.

Thank you, Steve. You inspire people everywhere. ;)

watch: little girl covers "born this way"

I've been meaning to post this since Friday, but.. well, I have no real excuse.

For the stragglers or slackers who may have somehow missed this, check out this little 10 year old girl sing Lady Gaga's "Born This Way." [Pretty sure she's been on Ellen before, BTW. I'll look into it.]

INCREDIBLE, right?! It's amazing how different people can make a song sound so much more real. Maybe this means the future of music will be talented again.

elizabethany

PS: I'm NOT saying Gaga's not talented, because she is... But you'd never know it unless you watched her acoustic or old stuff.

watch: ellen, justin bieber and james blunt predict gaga's "born this way"

Ellen has been pretty good at predicting things and making bets lately, so she took her guessing a bit further than the average gambler- Predicting what Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" will sound like.

She also had some help from Justin Bieber and James Blunt!

Hysterical. Obviously staged, but still cute and funny.

Also cute: He apparently had the idea of surprising one of his biggest fans in her bedroom. The way he did it.. I just think he's real and genuine. Sure, he knows he's a big star, but he clearly loves making his fans feel good, and that's awesome.

I mean really.. Imagine being Paige there. I WOULD POOP MY PANTS!!!!!

Awesome. Ellen and Bieber- Both awesome. I GOT DA FEVA!

lady gaga's craziest outfits of 2010... modeled by barbie

Well this is just downright creative.

We've all seen Lady Gaga's crazy [and rather ridiculous] outfits this year, and as a way to celebrate, Entertainment Weekly dressed up Barbie dolls as Lady Gaga for part of their Entertainer of the Year section.

Each of her outrageous outfits, miniaturized and put on the classiest of all dolls... to create something epic.

Pretty freakin' amazing, if ya ask me!

And if you can't tell what outfits are being done in each of the pictures, you can check out the real-life ones here.

Can they please do this for lots of celebs?! BritBrit?! KE$HA! I enjoy.

what i think about the 2010 vma's because you care

I didn't get to watch it on time because of the game, so now I'm a little behind in getting a write-up on here.

I'm going to make this as short and sweet as possible.

First of all- What I think about the fashion and looks on the carpet... Via slideshow/captions:

And now- What I think about the show.

Gabi as the MTV TJ: A lot of people have been asking me what I thought about what she did. You want my honest opinion? Okay, fine. I think she looked amazing, and I think she handled herself well. She was assigned the job of tracking tweets and what everyone was talking about. It wasn't a HUGE role in the show, but for a first gig on MTV, one month after she got hired... I'd say she had the ultimate position and did a damn good job. Sure, I wish I was there... but homegirl is rockin' it, and if anyone deserved that position after a lot of hard work and sacrifices, it's her.

Chelsea Handler as a host: I think someone wrote some pretty corny lines for her, but overall, if you get her humor, she was pretty good! She wasn't as epic as I thought she'd be, but she wasn't anywhere near as bad as some are saying. I wouldn't mind her being the host again. Plus- she looked beautiful. Her skit with Jersey Shore- Lame. With Lindsay Lohan- totally cool because LiLo looked put together which made me smile.

Eminem/Rihanna: You should know I'm not a huge Eminem fan, and if I hear "Love the Way You Lie" one more time, I'M going to start some domestic violence. BUT... Eminem rocked it. He was into it, he was real, it felt good. Rihanna and her bright red hair were beautiful, she sang great, and she was clearly in the moment, too. Great start to the show! Watch if you haven't:

Justin Bieber: Everyone's freaking out because he didn't sing. Shut up. He put on a good show, with some crazy dance moves, and rocked out on the drums, which I had no idea he could do. He's a talented kid, but he's a kid. He used a handicap. Don't use it against him. He's too cute for you to do that, anyway. It's worth watching:

Usher: He sang, he danced, he kicked it old school... Kinda. The visuals [in every performance, really] were pretty freakin' neat, and his dancing is always on point. He was also singing, which wasn't perfect, but that's not what matters. Anyone who likes Usher should definitely watch.

Taylor Swift: Why do people still let her perform on award shows?! SERIOUSLY. She's terrible. She's boring. She can't sing. It's miserable to watch. It's so bad I won't even tell you to watch for a good laugh. She didn't get a good "comeback" to Kanye, nor did she entertain anyone. Epic fail.

Bruno Mars, B.o.B., and Hayley Williams... and Paramore: I'm becoming a big fan of Bruno Mars and B.o.B... Hayley... She's a meh to me for now. The group put on a great, quick collabo, though. She sounded real rough in the beginning, but pulled it together by the end with her band. I'd say it's worth your time:

Drake: I also don't understand why there's so much hype around him and his performances. If you want to say he's a genius and his songs are great.. fine... but his performances are always boring. If it weren't for Mary J. and the awesome visual effects, I would have fallen asleep watching it. Don't bother.

Kanye: A toast to all the douchebags?! Uh.. YES PLEASE! As much as I'm disappointed in the lack of an OMG moment, his red suit with the plain white stage and background were pretty phenomenal. It could be the first performance/song of Kanye's that I thoroughly enjoy. I think you should enjoy it, too. [Plus, the intro from Aziz is freakin' perfect]:

I think that's probably about all there is to talk about besides Gaga's "meat moment." I like what she stands for, I like her purpose in life, I like that she reps her "little monsters" to the fullest. I don't like her going ridiculously over the top like she does and did last night, but when she sang a quick preview of her new song/album, I couldn't help but give her props. Girl's got talent... Just wish she didn't mask it with all the other weirdness.

In conclusion ;) There were no moments that will have us talking for the next year. There were no moments that will have us saying "OMG REMEMBER THE 2010 VMA's!!!" In that sense, the show sucked. If you compare it to other award shows, it's still pretty awesome and entertaining.. minus the same three people winning all of the awards.

watch: gaga accepts your thrown gifts

Most of you probably know by now that I'm not the biggest Lady Gaga fan. The word "overrated" comes to mind when I think of her and sometimes I get the occasional "annoying."

OhitsRyan went to Monster Ball in San Jose last night and shared this video on Twitter. Apparently everyone throws Gaga goodies on stage and even though her dad tells her not to encourage such a thing, she does it anyway.

I can't deny the respect I have for her when she interacts and shows her appreciation for her fans. This simple little thing made SO many people's nights and added a hint of hilarity.

I kinda want to give her a butt-lift, and maybe some dancing lessons... And smack the awkward, probably-not-real accent out of her, but she definitely earned some serious plus points in my book... and that's hard to do once you're in the negatives.

Kudos, Gaga... and rock on.

on the racks: lady gaga does rolling stone.. again!

It's crazy that there's always something to talk about with Lady Gaga, and yet every single time we talk about her- she looks different!

Okay, maybe that's not crazy. That's actually the norm. Whatever.

Anyway, her latest news is being on the cover of the double issue of The Rolling Stone.

As much as people are saying OMG SHE HAS GUNS and IT'S SO TYPICAL GAGA!, I think it's rather blah. Sure, she has guns that look attached to her bra... but her face and hair are totally normal. You can see her face!!!

The shoes in the full-size picture: A little odd. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that platforms don't become the only accepted fashionable shoe again.

The best part of the article is this quote:

"When I wake up in the morning, I feel just like any other insecure 24-year-old girl... Then I say, ‘Bitch, you’re Lady Gaga, you get up and walk the walk today’.”

I want to start thinking like that. I want to yell at myself and call myself a B when I'm lazy. Then I shall kick life in the balls and say take that. [Woops.. I'm getting side tracked.]

She also admitted she's modeling her celebrity after Michael Jackson... But I think we already knew that.

So thank you, Lady Coocoo, for being a lot less odd in this here article. I enjoy you today.

meet the pre-famous lady gaga

Someone decided to take up probably way too much of their time and dig up any and all old Lady Gaga pictures from before she was famous.

I want to tell that person they have way too much time on their hands and need to get a life, but A) I can't talk and B) I obviously like them enough to share them with you.

So without further ado, check out some pictures of pre-weird Gaga.

[PS: I just had an epiphany. An ADD epiphany. I shall now call her Lady Coo-coo.]

I understand that she wants to be different and stand out, and I support that... If being different is really you...

After seeing how she grew up, even up til just a few years ago... She never showed signs of being completely outrageous! She was just a normal [gorgeous!] girl!

It's annoying when people try to go out of their way to get extra attention, even in the celeb world.... AKA I'm officially annoyed with her. I'd rather her be how she always was with odd songs/music/videos.

Can we agree?

Even if we can't, we can always agree to disagree... I GUESS....

tunes on tuesday 060810

Whew, I'm cuttin it close on getting this to ya by the end of the day, eh!?

Let's hear what this week's got!

But before we do that, here's Lady Gaga's new video for Alejandro! It's... Interesting... to say the least. [But would you expect anything less?!]

Taio Cruz--> Dynamite

It's actually pretty different from "Break Your Heart" which is good. I feel like he's actually a good singer, but we may never know. It's alright.

Bobby Brackins ft. Ray J--> 143 I Love You

This Bobby Brackins guy has an interesting voice. Hmm.... That could be a good thing! And hello Ray J! It's another dumb song about texting and stuff, but it could be huge.

Cascada--> Every Time I Hear Your Name

Ya know... I think I like them. They've officially made me a fan of their techno.

Flo Rida ft. David Guetta--> Club Can't Handle Me

What a combo! I'm bound to like anything by Flo Rida... And David Guetta. This is no exception.

Git Fresh--> She Be Like

Stupid, lame name... Decently catchy song. I'll play it.

Jessica Jarrell--> Up and Running

Homegirl is 15!!!! I enjoy. That is all.

Lifehouse--> All In

Will you make fun of me and call me emo forever if I admit I kinda like Lifehouse? Cuz I do. And I like this song. They're getting a little more happy and upbeat now!

Danny Gokey--> I Will Not Say Goodbye

I definitely almost cried when I listened to this. It's so obvious he's singing about his wife. I love it. It's beautiful and heartfelt.

Steel Magnolia--> Just By Being You

I heart them. They're good. This is good. I love country lyrics.

That's all for today! Enjoy!

rihanna is having an identity crisis

Rihanna is on tour in Europe right now and is putting on quite the show, it looks like.

Here were some of her outfits in the Netherlands this past weekend:

Seems like she's channeling her inner Lady Gaga, right?!

Maybe it's just a new trend. Maybe everyone is trying to go all weird and outrageous and unpredictable....

But knowing that Rihanna came on to the scene a completely different person, and seeing that she's taking a lot of looks of others' and putting them into her show, I'd say she's in a bit of an identity crisis or something.

Pink totally did this white duct tape looking suit first.

Is she trying to be in the Mickey Mouse Club? It's a little late...

Too bad we can't see more of what the design was that was lighting up... I'm sure it had to have some meaning... right?!

I'm not hating on her. I'm totally rooting for her. I just feel like she needs to start having her own image or something. Everything keeps changing and nothing ever seems "right."

Maybe I'm wrong, but let's be honest... The proof is there. Homegirl is trying to find herself and is having a little trouble with the creativity aspect.

on the racks: ke$ha does maxim

It's official. I'm Team Ke$ha. [In case you were wondering, I consider her to be in a battle with Lady Gaga for Princessette of Pop... Since we already have a queen and princess.]

Anyway... If you're not already on her side, I think you should look at her Maxim photoshoot.
Guys- I must warn you. A chub is 99% probable.

I think even I got a ..y'know.. after looking at them!

She's not the hottest thing you've ever seen, but she's got the swag.

Okay... Now I really sound like a boy. Not cute.

All I'm sayin' is... Lady Gaga ain't got nothin' on her. [Even though I totally think Ke$ha should always rock the star on her eye.] Agreed?

nifty: lady gaga cupcakes

These may not be the most delicious looking cookies I've ever seen, but they're absolutely the best.

Someone decided to make a batch of cookies in which they are all very different. Why? Because they're supposed to match each of Lady Gaga's outrageous outfits.

See if you can figure out which cookie matches which of her infamous outfits, then click here to check your answers and see more!

Whoever created these better copyright, patent, whatever they gotta do to earn the rights to such an idea! I can imagine this becoming as big as the many flavors of Jelly Bellys. [Including having some not-so-appetizing versions]
