tunes on tuesday 110111

Completely forgot last week, I'm SORRY! But I'm back on my meds and remembering things so let's holla at some new music!

Young the Giant--> Cough Syrup

It's very Coldplay. It's different, it's chill, it's not my style, but I feel like it could to pretty well. We shall see.

Erin Bowman--> Problem

It's definitely the typical "beginner's pop song." I think she has a lot of potential, and I definitely like it, so we'll see where she runs with it.

Lady Gaga--> Marry the Night

I feel the same about this song as all of her other recent songs. It's meh at first listen, but it could grow on me. I'm sure it'll have to. Listeners love it.

Guinevere--> Crazy Crazy

I would say it's different, but every girl is trying to be different now. I don't mind it, but I don't know if it'll take off.

Freesol ft. JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE--> Role Model

I don't remember if I posted this last time or not, but if you haven't heard this song yet, GET EXCITED. It single-handedly made this post worth your time. Justin Timberlake is rapping, and I love it. So does the rest of the world.

Here are some I didn't wanna waste your time with, but you can look em up if you want:
Days Difference- Down With Me
Big Time Rush- Music Sounds Better With U
Justin Reynolds- Runaway

COUNTRY MUSIC, real quick:

Love and Theft--> Angel Eyes

The Farm--> Home Sweet Home

Gloriana--> [Kissed You] Goodnight

And that's all I got! Lots of new names tonight! Lemme know your thoughts!

country tunes on tuesday 070511

Wham, bam, thank ya ma'am for the new country music!

Ashton Shepard--> Where Country Grows

She's got a very mature voice and sound that could definitely work. Plus- a song about country.

Phil Vassar--> Let's Get Together

I'm a fan of Phil Vassar, and this is very much his song, it's fun, and I heart it.

Danny Gokey--> Second Hand Heart

I love all things Danny Gokey. Nuff said.

Justin Haigh--> All My Best Friends

VERY country song. A bit much for me to listen to all the time, but it's fun.

That's all for this week's new music! Holler at your iPod, stat!

country tunes on [wednesday] 062211

Because I missed it last week, there is SO MUCH new Country music. Because I don't do Country radio, AND it's way too much for me to comment on, I'm just going to list it all out and have you listen for yourself.
BUT! I will put a * next to the ones I love.

Enjoy!

Andy Gibson- Wanna Make You Feel My Love
Tiffany- Feel the Music

Craig Morgan- This Ol' Boy

Jessica Amerson- High School Sucks

*Keith Urban- Long Hot Summer

*Rascal Flatts ft. Natasha Bedingfield- Easy

Robin Meade- Dirty Laundry

*Shania Twain- Today is Your Day

*Brett Eldridge- It Ain't Gotta Be Love

**Craig Campbell- Fish

Dirt Drifters- Always a Reason

Alan Jackson- Long Way to Go

Billy Ray Cyrus- Runway Lights

*Brad Paisley ft. Carrie Underwood- Remind Me

Christian Kane- Let Me Go

George Strait- Here For a Good Time

And that's a wrap for this week! Seriously, listen to the "Fish" song... so good.

tunes on tuesday 060711

Hello and happy Tuesday! Let's do the damn thing!

Melanie C [AKA Sporty Spice]--> Rock Me

Interesting that she's just NOW going solo, but she looks good, and the song isn't bad! I can't decide how it'll do as a single... I like it, but I feel like it'll stay pretty UK based. We shall see.

Beyonce--> Best Thing I Never Had

I love when B slows things down. This song is beautiful and great.

Coldplay--> Every Teardrop is a Waterfall

Well hello, Coldplay. Everyone's getting a real hard on for this song. I feel like it does too much building up without a real climax, but it's your call.

J786--> Rock Tonight

What kinda name is "J786"?! It's not a bad song, but I'm really mad about his/their/whatever name.

Joe Jonas--> See No More

If Hanson couldn't make any solo success, the Jonas Brothers shouldn't be able to either, dangit! I like this cheesy, boy band sounding song though... Hmph.

Kat Deluna--> Drop it Low

Homegirl is tryin' real hard to get a single on the radio right now, I gotta give it to her. I will totally love dancing to this in the club, but that's about it.

Laze and Royal--> You and Me

I am not even mad about this sample! Like... I like it.

DJ Earworm--> Only Time is Tonight

I have become entirely TOO obsessed with DJ Earworm lately. It's probably not healthy. His mixes are my favorite thing to listen to the morning after drinking. Love them. Love this.

Combining the two posts because I have a million things to do and I'm lazy. :)

Jerrod Niemann--> One More Drinkin Song

C'mon, Jerrod... drinkin songs are supposed to be a little more upbeat, aren't they?! It's nice to listen to, but I definitely don't love it. It's not a drinking song in my book.

Kellie Pickler--> Tough

She's got a lot more of a mature, pure country woman sound now. I like it. She sounds great!

Katie Arminger--> I Do But Do I

I like her voice a lot. This song is catchy. There's nothing to dislike.

LeeAnn Rimes--> Give

Super slow and meaningful, but beautiful. It makes me wanna be awesome.

Trace Adkins--> Just Fishin

What a precious little father/daughter song! I love it! Too cute.

That is all for this week! Country peeps- check out Sonia Leigh's "My Name is Money," and Lisa Matassa's "Me Time" too. Couldn't find a great version to embed.

country tunes on tuesday 051711

Howdy Pahtnah! It's time for some new music!
Okay... So I may have gone to happy hour tonight. WHATEVS! Let's get to the point.

Joe Nichols--> Take It Off

It's summertime, take it off! It's about more than clothes, and it's a summer anthem... Just my fave.

Acklen Park--> I love you, I need you

It's your typical cute, lovey dovey, country song... I can't pretend like I don't like these.

Darius Rucker--> I Got Nothin

When this album came out, I blasted this on repeat for hours on end. It's definitely because it was entirely too fitting for a situation I was in, but it's also a great song. Darius will never disappoint, remember that.

Jason Jones--> Ferris Wheel

I can't remember if I posted this before or not, but it's a cute and catchy song. I have a good feeling about it, for sure. Totally love it.

Josh Kelley--> Gone Like That

Not what I was expecting lyrics-wise, but I like it. It's relate-able, and just plain good, typical country.

Also, I couldn't find good, embeddable versions, but check out JT Hodges' "Hunt You Down," Sean Kristopher's "Time Spent" and Shelly Rann's "Hell on Heels!"

That is all! Thank goodness country music saved this week of new music for me.

country tunes on tuesday 050311

Lemme guess.. You thought I'd put this off til tomorrow, didn't you?!
Well, I wanted to... but NO! No more of that!

Problem is... New country music is always hard to find in a shareable version! So, I only have a few this week. :(

Jason Thomas--> I'm Your Radio

It's nothing we haven't heard before, but that doesn't mean it's not good. It's definitely worth your time.

The Lunabelles--> A Place to Shine

Another new girl group with powerful vocals. It's a nice song, but unfortunately it doesn't blow me away. The lyrics are good, but I want to speed it up a little bit or something.

And that's literally all I have! Disappointing, right?!

If you wanna Google some others, look up Corey Wagar- Hurricane and Celeste Moyers- It Goes Something Like.

Enjoy!

tunes on tuesday 042611

Happy Tuesday! Let's get it poppin'!

3 Doors Down--> Every Time You Go

It's very 3 Doors Down. If you like them, you're bound to like this song. I don't understand why they're not in the same category of judging as Nickelback....?

Big Sean--> My Last

First of all- Love the video. Second- I like the song a lot, too.

Britney Spears ft. Nicki Minaj and Ke$ha--> Til the World Ends Remix

I mean... It's amazing. Duh.

Grace Potter and the Nocturnals--> Paris [Ooh La La]

This is a very different sounding song, especially for radio, but I totally dig it. Her voice is hott. Definitely give it a listen.

Katy Perry--> Last Friday Night [TGIF]

Get ready.. Katy Perry is taking over the summer again. EPIC Summertime song! Thanks for writing my theme song, chic.

3 Days Grace--> Lost In You

It has a little bit of a country sound to it, which I totally like. Mostly emo rock, but country is added in.

Cee-Lo Green--> Bright Lights, Bigger City

I LOVE this album. It's different, it's fun, and it's going to be fun to listen to while cruising the streets in the summertime. This song is one of the best on the album, for sure.

Rihanna--> Man Down

She's trying to take over the world, straight up. Song after song these days! This isn't one of my favorites she's done, especially recently, but I like that she has her Barbados sound shining through.

Thompson Square--> I Got You

I enjoy them. I enjoy this.

David Adam Byrnes--> She Only Wanted Flowers

Ya know... I wish I coulda sent this song to a certain someone a few months ago. I for sure enjoy it and the lyrics.

Hunter Hayes--> Storm Warning

Apparently this [kid?] guy is opening for Taylor Swift a bunch this year. He's a cutie with an innocent voice that's pretty soothing. We'll have to see what else he brings to the table.

Soul Circus Cowboys--> Love is Like a Rodeo

It reminds me of something, but I can't figure out what! It's a pretty typical loud, rodeo, country song.

And that does it for this week! [Don't miss out on D-Why's new song, though!] I think I like them all at least a little bit, so ENJOY!

tunes on tuesday 041911

Heyo! Happy Tuesday!

I've decided to take a different approach from here on out. If I like a song, I'll put it in a "LIKE" pile on the post. If I don't like it, well, it either won't even get posted, or it'll get put in the "Decide for yourself" pile. Let me know if you like this new way of TOT!

LIKE. Get. Now.

Aubrey O'Day--> Automatic [I know, this is surprising for me too. It's annoying, but way too catchy.]

Chris Brown--> She Ain't You [It's very modern Michael Jackson to me for some reason.]

David Guetta ft. Nicki Minaj and Flo Rida--> Where Dem Girls At

Jordan Knight--> Let's Go Higher

David Cook--> The Last Song [Definitely a David Cook song, and even though this is very American Idol-rock, I dig it.]

Lloyd Banks ft. Jeremih--> I Don't Deserve You

Akon ft. Chris Brown--> Take It Down Low

Keri Hilson ft. Nelly--> Lose Control [I enjoy this combo a lottt!]

Decide for yourself... but I say no thanks.

Lady Gaga--> Judas

Seether--> Country Song [Definitely not my kind of song]

KeKe Wyatt ft. Ruben Studdard--> Saturday Love [Woah Ruben, the stranger.. I can't decide where this belongs. She sings well, but the song is meh..]

Sunny Sweeney--> Staying's Worse Than Leaving

I can dig it. Her voice is amazing, but it's enjoyable for sure. The lyrics hit a bit close to home.

Billy Currington--> Love Done Gone

A little unexpected and intense in the beginning, but it has me jammin' in my bed right now so I can't complain. Get it.

Rodney Atkins--> Take a Back Road

Maybe I'm in a good mood, but all of this country music is fantastic this week. This obviously counts in such an opinion.

Sugarland--> Tonight

It seems like a pretty powerful song. It's not slow, it's not fast, it's a song that could definitely cross-over if it wants to, and I wouldn't mind. Wouldn't expect it to be a single, but Sugarland can do no wrong in my eyes.

Terri Clark--> Northern Girl

Holy crap, there's a country song about a northern girl. It's like my anthem! I dig it. I wish it was a tad better, but I'm not going to lie- I will blast this song in my car regularly.

That's all for tonight! Enjoy and let me know how you feel about the new "format"!

love,
elizabethany

tunes on tuesday 041211

Heyo and Happy Tuesday! Even after the epic update [x2!] last week, there's still a ton of new music to share, so let's get to it!

First of all- don't miss Rihanna/Britney--> S&M Remix!

Matches and Big Al--> Alive

Definitely a fist pumping in the club kind of song... I'd definitely blast it for going out or getting ready or something, but probably not random airplay throughout the day. We shall see.

Radio Killer--> Lonely Heart

The summer definitely brings out the dance club jams. I don't hate it, but I don't know that I'm head over heels, either.

Ray J--> Turning Me On

Ray J is backkk?! It's not bad. It sounds like he listened to some producers who produce every other single out there, but it's definitely worth some airtime.

The Downtown Fiction--> I Just Want to Run

I can't remember if I posted this last week or not, but if I said I didn't like it, I lied. I can definitely dig it. This is the kind of music I normally like to chill to in the summer, not going to lie. [Or country, duh.]

Beastie Boys--> Make Some Noise

If you're a Beastie Boys fan, you're going to LOVE this song. It's like they never left the 80s. I'm not sure if it can be embraced these days... I kinda sorta hate it.

All-Star Weekend--> Not Your Birthday

This is from the upcoming "Prom" movie [that stars my friend Raini Rodriguez!]. I'm sure high schoolers will go NUTS over this song, and I won't be too mad about it. It's enjoyable. I don't know if I'll play it in my room while I'm hanging out, but what's that matter?!

Nicki Minaj--> Did It On Em

This is one of the "nasty Nicki" songs, as I like to call em. She's definitely gettin down and dirty like the Nicki we were first introduced to.

Panic! At the Disco--> Ready to Go

Isn't the usual Panic! sound that I'm used to. I dig the lyrics and it's a pretty good song.

We The Kings--> Friday is Forever

It's a little random, but it's catchy. There are a TON of these [insert genre that I don't know what to call it here] songs this week!

Blake Shelton--> Honey Bee

It's a cute song. It's not my favorite from Blake, but it's precious for the soon to be newlywed.

Glen Templeton--> I Could Be The One

I dig it. I like the lyrics, I like his voice, I like it all.

Jason Aldean--> Dirt Road Anthem

Woah. His breakdown totally caught me off guard... I'm not sure how I feel about that. It could be fun to sing once I know it... but I could have done without it.

Mark Cooke--> I Love It

I really just wish I had a Country singer boyfriend who could sing to me every day... What girl WOULDN'T want to have these songs sang about them? This is another cute one.

That's all for this week! ENJOY! Let me know if there's anything you LOVE!

country tunes on tuesday 040511

I told ya I had a TON of new music, so I'm splitting it up this week!

Here is this week's new country music!

Reba--> When Love Gets a Hold Of You

I mean.. Can Reba do any wrong?! I think not. It's good as always.

Margaret Durante--> Maybe Tonight

Oh, hello words that I think every weekend when I get ready. Thanks for stealing the words out of my and every girl's mouths, Margaret.

Jake Owen--> Barefoot Blue Jean Night

The beginning sounded awfully familiar, but I guess that's going to happen sometimes.....? It's a fun song, and definitely worth a download.

Dierks Bentley--> Am I The Only One?

I can't wait to see him perform this weekend and listen to him sing this! YAY for songs about having fun, drinking, and being the cool one of your friends!

Jaron And the Long Road To Love--> It's a Good Thing

I really like him. It has a bit of a crossover sound to it, but I don't think it will. I enjoy!

Mary Sarah--> Crazy Good

She's only 15 years old and definitely sounds like it, but if she keeps it up, this girl could be crazy good in the country world. [Catch the pun?! Teehee] This is a good song if you can get over the little girl sound.

Stealing Angels--> Paper Heart

They're just getting started, but they're really freaking good, and we need to fill the seemingly-permanent Dixie Chicks void. I dig it, and I want more.

Okay. THAT'S all the new music for this week! Enjoy, cuz I will!

tunes on tuesday 031511

Happy Tuesday! Let's get right to it-

CJ Holland ft. Lady Gaga--> Luv U Sum

As far as I know, I've never heard anything from this guy before, but I think he's probably capable of a song better than this. BUT, if you wanna get started, you need a big name behind ya, right? Here's to better things coming from him.

Shontelle--> Say Hello to Goodbye

I'm definitely a Shontelle fan. I think her voice is really pretty. It's a good break-up song, and I'll totally play it.

Far East Movement ft. Snoop Dogg--> If I Was You OMG

The cool thing about Far East Movement is that every song is so different from the next. I LOVE that! This isn't my favorite from them, but I'll definitely add it to my library!

Matthew Morrison--> Summer Rain

How do you guys feel about Glee songs hitting mainstream?? I think it could be a good thing for music, but some of these are just a little too Glee-sounding for me, including this one. Not terrible, just not what I want to be playing on the radio.

Ashley Gearing--> Five More Minutes

Wish I had an embeddable real version of this song for you guys, but this is a really pretty/cool song. I totally enjoy it. Girls will love it, guys might have it as a guilty pleasure.

Bradley Gaskin--> Mr. Bartender

Gloriana--> Wanna Take You Home

I like Gloriana, too. They have a lot of fun songs, as far as I've noticed. If any boy wants to sing this to me, I will not object. Just sayin'.

That's all for today! They've been slowin' down these weeks for some reason. Enjoy!

Tuesday, March 1, 2011

tunes on tuesday 030111

Happy Tuesday, y'all! Break out your iTunes!

One Republic--> Good Life

I like One Republic. It's nice music to sit back and listen to and do what music is supposed to. Maybe I'm in "a mood," but I'm appreciating music as something that can make me chill out and smile, and this will do that.

Pitbull ft. Neyo and Nayer--> I Want Everything

Pitbull isn't my favorite rapper, but I like Ne-Yo, and it's really not a terrible song. I can definitely listen to it multiple times and not hit myself. It's got some funny one-liners in it, too.

The Ready Set--> Young Forever

I'm rooting for him because of the TJ finale and my interview with him, obviously, but this one doesn't reel me in like "Love Like Woe" did. I don't understand why everyone has to alter their voice to the point of no recognition or difference from the next song on the air.

Willow Smith--> 21st Century Girl

It sounds very Ke$ha to me, but it's really not bad! It's been getting pretty good reviews from the listeners/tweeters as far as I can tell.

Glee Cast--> Loser Like Me

It's weird to me that this song is being pushed to radio, but if it was just one singer with a little less of a "Glee" sound, I'd probably be obsessed. I don't dislike it, and it'll probably be a guilty pleasure, but I'll never admit it.

iSquare--> Hey Sexy Lady

I'm always down for an R&B/pop/rap group! Bad news- they're affiliated with Bad Boy. Good news- I like this song, they have a lot of versatility, and I may have a new group to start checking out more.

Chingy--> Superhero

CHINGY! IS IT REALLY YOUUU?! It is. And I'm totally okay with this song! I'm more than okay with it! As far as I remember, this is a lot different than most of his stuff, for the better.

Milk & Sugar vs Vaya Con Dios--> Hey (Nah Neh Nah)

Oh God, this is annoying. If you like "We No Speak Americano" or whatever that stupid song is that I always delete, you'll like this. I, for one, can't stand it.

Frankie Ballard--> A Buncha Girls

I don't know anything about this newcomer, but I know that if you love a Spring Break theme song, or something for the summer, here ya go. You're welcome.
http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif

JaneDear Girls--> Shotgun Girl

A lot of country people are lovin' this duo. I like it, but I'm not OMG CRAZY about it. You be the judge if it's love or lust for you.

Little Big Town--> The Reason Why
This is the title track of their new album, and it's very LBT. I'm not a diehard fan of this song, but I'll definitely listen to it.

That's all for this week! What are you LOVING?! Let me know!

Enjoy!

tunes on [wednesday] 022311

I apologize! I'm a day late again thanks to poor life decisions. Forgive me?

Far East Movement & Roger Sanchez ft. Kanobby--> 2gether

Part of me really likes sampling, the other part is annoyed and wants something new. These guys know how to come out with a catchy beat, though. It'll have ya dancing!

James Blunt--> Stay the Night

For some reason, I think I loved this song even before I heard it. I just knew it'd be good, and it is very chill, pretty, and very James Blunt.

Foster the People--> Pumped Up Kicks

Eh, not my kind of music at all, but doesn't mean you won't like it..... It gives me a very old-school, maybe 70s/80s vibe, which isn't bad.

JTX--> Love In America

The lyrics are fun! I don't see this being a huge song, but I like it. I wanna dance around like it's a Party In The USA.

Marianas Trench--> Beside You

I don't know how to describe this song, but it's definitely worth a listen. It's nice, and not what I'd normally go for!

Plan B--> She Said

I did not expect it to sound like this, but it's refreshing! I don't know that I'll love it after a bunch of listens, but we'll see! It's definitely "cool."

Adele--> Rolling In The Deep

People who love Adele, REALLY love her, and I've already been getting a decent amount of requests for this song. She's talented, it's a pretty song.

Kenny Chesney--> Live a Little

Holy crap, this is my theme song... especially this week. Thank you, Kenny Chesney.

Eric Church--> Homeboy

It starts out a little controversial, but the overall message of the song is pretty good- Get your life together and stop acting a fool before you regret it.

Eli Young Band--> Crazy Girl

It's totally cute. I definitely like these guys, and they put on a good show when I saw them over the summer. Plus, the Texas people won't yell at me and say I only like "Nashville country."

Toby Keith--> Somewhere Else

This is different from the usual Toby Keith that I'm used to, but I don't mind! It's a little more chill.

That's all for this week! Enjoy!

elizabethany

tunes on [wednesday] 021611

I'm a few hours late [or technically a day, I guess...] but FORGIVE ME! I was hoping more songs would magically show up to share.

Eminem--> Spacebound

It starts out really chill and reminds me a little of old-Eminem, then you hear the anger coming out a little bit. Fortunately, it's not much anger and the song stays slower [and hella emotional], I just wish he'd stop yelling at me! I like it, though.

Lady Gaga--> Born This Way

If you haven't heard this song yet, you seriously need to stop living under a rock. It's very Madonna. Too Madonna, maybe, but a little refreshing and old school. If there's ever a song from Lady Gaga I'm going to like, this is it.

T-Pain ft. Chris Brown--> Best Love Song

Part of me wants to say I definitely like this song, but the other part is kinda over T-Pain. *gasp!* Could I really be over him? It just sounds SO Lonely Island now... But if there's anyone to do autotune, I've always said it has to be T-Pain. Or Cher. Or Akon. BUT THAT'S IT!

Chris Young--> Tomorrow

Woah. I like this song. Maybe for personal reasons, but it's good. Ever been in a relationship where you know it's the end, but it's not easy to admit it?

Josh Abbott Band--> Oh, Tonight

This looks like a fun group of people, but that's just a side note. This is a simple, cute song that's totally enjoyable.

Walker Hayes--> Why Wait for Summer

YAY! Early summer song with a reason for us to listen to such fun songs before it comes around! Everyone loves a good summer song.

Josh Gracin--> When It Rains

OMG LOVE LOVE LOVE this song. So glad someone tweeted about it, because his people clearly aren't doing a good job keeping his name out there. If only I were in country radio and could play this. I love Josh! Always have, always will.

That's all for this week! Not a lot, I know! It's kinda dumb. But some is better than none!

tunes on tuesday 011111

After last week's monstrous update, you'd think there'd be nothing left... but NOT TRUE.

You know about BritBrit's new song "Hold It Against Me." I'm sure you love it. Now let's find out what else you'll love.

Bruno Mars--> Marry You

It's the year of Bruno Mars, folks. I totally love this song. I love the change of tempo throughout, I love the words, I love his voice.

Iyaz--> Rule the World

This isn't a song that had me excited or dancing, but I don't hate it either. It's more of a background song or a song you play before the night really gets started.

Jeremih ft. 50 Cent--> Down On Me

It's definitely not a bad song. It's not great either, though. Another song I'm indifferent, but it definitely has more potential than Iyaz.

Jessie J ft. BoB--> Price Tag

The studio version is a little different, obviously, but I totally dig her sound and this song. I'm also feelin' B.o.B. right about now.

Kotadama--> See You Tonight

Holy emotional. The video and the feel of the song definitely scream emo.

New Boyz ft. Dev--> Back Seat

Umm... I think this is very dirty. Like more dirty than at first listen. DANGUH. I like the beat, though. New Boyz are still a bit too amateur to me, but it's a pretty fun/hilarious song.

Tinie Tempah ft. Eric Turner--> Written in the Stars

So... Tinie is a guy's name?! Really?! He's got the nasally sound like Wayne, and he has potential... I don't know that this will get huge, but that's completely up to you.

Miranda Lambert--> Heart Like Mine

I'm not always a fan of Miranda, but I definitely like this song. It's not super country.

Zac Brown Band--> Colder Weather

It's another soft one from the boys. It's really sweet. I totally dig it, I'm just ready for something upbeat from them again.

Ashton Shepherd--> Look It Up

SASSY! She's got a real, genuine country sound. I'm surprised she hasn't stuck around with past singles. Maybe this will be the one for her.

Rascal Flatts--> I Won't Let Go

Just like they said, it's a VERY strong ballad. The sweet sound reminds me of "Skin," but nothing will beat the emotions of that, obviously.

The Band Perry--> You Lie

These siblings are totally going to take country music by storm in 2011, and I can't wait.

That's all for this week! Now all you gotta do is tell me what you want to be hearing on the radio ASAP!

Another Tuesday, another batch of new music!

Plain White T's--> Rhythm of Love

It's real chill. I'm not obsessed with it, nor will I play it on my own very much, but it's not bad.

Michael Jackson--> Breaking News

I showed this one to you yesterday, but if you haven't listened to the whole thing, now you should. What are your thoughts? You think it's really him? Do you like it?

Flo Rida ft. Akon--> Who Dat Girl

I feel like these two guys have a new song every week. No surprise here- I like it. It's not necessarily a GREAT song, but it's fun, and I enjoy.

Auburn--> All About Him

This is an interesting song... In a good way, I think. Listen to it, for sure.

Wiz Khalifa--> Black and Yellow

As he's heading to jail [even though he's already out on bail], his song is about to blow up. It's a dumb song. Real dumb. Which means it's going to be huge.

Chuck Wicks--> Old School
I expected this song to be a lot better when I clicked on it, but it's not bad. I'll probably love it after a few more plays.

Lathan Moore--> Love in Your Life
Typical country I LOVE MY LIFE song. It's pretty good.

Also, you need to make sure you check out Nelly and Kelly Rowland--> Gone, if you haven't yet. I posted it earlier.

AND! For all of you who don't listen to country music too much but are all about Top 40, I hear Sugarland is about to be the next to crossover to Top 40 with this song, Stuck Like Glue.

I'm OBSESSED with Sugarland, I love this song, and I'm really excited they're going to crossover, but I never thought this song would be the one to do it. Do you want to hear it more?

You're welcome, as always.

tunes on tuesday 110210

New music! And it's still early on Tuesday! You're very welcome, my dears.

Emii ft. Snoop Dogg--> Mr. Romeo

How does someone anonymous get Snoop on their track?! It's super catchy, and I could totally get down to it. A little annoying at first, and probably after a lot of plays, but good after a second chance.

Enrique Iglesias ft. Ludacris--> Tonight

Put this on Jersey Shore and it'll be the next big hit! It's not much different from "I Like It," so if you're a fan of that song, you'll probably dig this.

Far East Movement ft. Ryan Tedder--> Rocketeer

Hmmm... I really like this song. Like, a lot. It's very different from G6, but that's probably what's so good about it.

Flo Rida--> Turn Around [5, 4, 3, 2, 1]

I'm a fan of Flo Rida songs, that's nothing new. This is faster than usual for him, and it's going to get you bouncing. I enjoy.

Snoop Dogg ft. Marty Jones--> New Year's Eve

This is interesting. It doesn't strike me as a good song at all, but I'm wondering if it'll end up being huge because it's Snoop and some guy who can sing really well. Tell me your thoughts on this one, please.

Train--> Marry Me

Okay, it's official.... I'm OBSESSED with the new, revamped Train. This is SUCH a pretty song. I love it. LoveloveLOVE it. Expect to hear it, Candy listeners.

Josh Thompson--> Won't Be Lonely Long
Don't let the title fool ya. This is an upbeat, powerful, optimistic post-breakup song. I enjoy.

Easton Corbin--> I Can't Love You Back
This song doesn't get me wanting a whole lot more, but it's not bad either.

One song that I am LOVING right now, and absolutely because of this awesome video with Kristin Cavallari, is Jaron and the Long Road to Love--> That's Beautiful to Me. Listen, love, watch. [PS this is NOT really country, so everyone should listen.]

Now, do tell-

Enjoy!

tunes on tuesday 101910

Lookin' like lots of music this week! Let's get to it!

Rihanna ft. Drake--> What's My Name?

It was only a matter of time until they collabo'd. As much as I'm not a fan of Drake, I really like this song. Something about it reminds me of old Rihanna and that makes me smile.

Eminem ft. Lil Wayne--> No Love

I know there's a thing called magic and all, but isn't Lil Wayne in jail right now?! But making music videos?! Anyway, this song is a little late in getting on here, but if you haven't heard it, it's about time you do.

Ke$ha--> We R Who We R

I'm a fan of Ke$ha, that's nothing new. I totally dig this song. It's a dance song and something you can listen to when you're alone.

30 Seconds to Mars--> Closer to the Edge

It's not my typical choice of music, but I wouldn't mind hearing it more or playing it. It's your call on this one.

Atomic Tom--> Take Me Out

Meh. Maybe this is something that will grow on me, but it's missing something. Nothing is making me like OMG LOVE IT.

Audio Push--> Up N Down

This is a background song. Probably nothing you're going to be dying to hear, but won't mind hearing it.

iSquare--> Hey Sexy Lady

I don't know that the name "iSquare" is going to help him/them/whatever with anything, but it's not a bad beat. It's just like all the other songs that you hear all day long.

This is from the Step Up 3 soundtrack apparently and I absolutely L-O-V-E it!!

Mann--> Buzzin'

Something about this has me bumpin'. The lyrics are dumb, but it's fun!

Lee Brice--> Beautiful Every Time
It takes a little bit to get into but then he gets it. I enjoy.

Little Big Town--> Kiss Goodbye
This isn't my favorite song from Little Big Town, but I do like the lyrics. It's definitely worth a listen.

Now is when you tell me what you want to hear more of! Check as many as you want and by next week we'll be looking at the results and adding some to the station! It's all up to YOU! [Even if you're not a Candy 95 listener, your help is appreciated!]
