7 waffle iron recipes to celebrate international waffle day

Happy International Waffle Day!

Do you have a waffle press? I got mine because it was $5 on Black Friday so.. duh.. that means it's a necessity. Unfortunately, I haven't used it for nearly as many things as Pinterest tells me to.

In an effort to celebrate and motivate me to use it more, here are some fun [/interesting] recipes I've found beyond the regular waffle.

There are a ton of other things, too... basically cook ANYTHING in there! Brownies/cookies... hash browns.. eggs... cinnamon rolls... Anything that can be baked can be thrown in your waffle iron for a couple minutes and come out magnificent.

It seems as though I'm going to have to invest in another one, though. Mine is a Belgian waffle maker and I don't see that ending well with some of these recipes.

If you've tried anything, lemme know what you loved!

hangover of love 013114

I feel like calling it just the Hangover now is weird... because sometimes they're not from the current week. And I'm going to start adding in some things on Pinterest that I've become obsessed with in the past week and AH! I'm so indecisive these days. It's a problem. Why am I rambling?! WTF was I even saying?

Just give it to 'em, Internet.
And some Pinterest treasures:

True story.
18 Ways To Make The Best Of Your Twenties: Spend quality time with your friends that doesn't involve going to a bar and texting other people.
OMG!!

And as always, I was a blogging machine with all the share-worthy things on my HOT blog!
[My #1 recommendation is the Full House reunion on Jimmy Fallon, in case you somehow missed that.]

national kool-aid day: 6 things to try

I feel like I always run into pins that use Kool-Aid to do nifty things, and since it's National Kool-Aid Day/weekend, we should obviously check them all out!

I actually tried this a couple weeks ago, and if you have smooth lips, it works! It's not as perfect as it shows in the picture [of course], but it's doable! You can also mix it with clear lipgloss or Vaseline for a glossy stain.

Fried Kool-Aid, y'all. Cuz it's 2013 and we can fry anything.

I've heard of people mixing the red Kool-Aid into their shampoo to brighten up their color, but this dip dye idea is totally cool! .... just don't tell your hairdresser, probably.

Homemade Kool-Aid Taffy?! Don't mind if I do.

Kool-Aid truffles look gorgeous and are probably so fruity-juicy.

For kids?! Pfft. I'm gonna make the ice cubes for alcoholic beverages, duh.

There's also all kinds of different experiments and explosions you can try, if you're bored or have kiddos.

Have fun!

10 ways to celebrate national sugar cookie day

You know I love me a good food holiday, and today we have a delicious one!

Who says you can only eat sugar cookies around Christmas?! NOT ME OR PINTEREST!

Here are some delicious recipes I've gathered for your enjoyment.

Sugar cookie CUPS! Fill them with fruit, ice cream, whatever your heart desires!

Sugar cookie DIP! [And throw some chocolate chips in there, too!]

Fill those cookies with CHEESECAKE!

Or take that cheesecake and sugar cookie and make them into bars!

Add some blueberries so you can pretend they're healthy!

Red hot sugar cookie bars?! I do love me some cinnamon.

Sugar cookies... with FROSTED FLAKES!

GET IN MY MOUTH, ALL OF YOU! [But I might have to pull the Seacrest and spit it out after a bunch of chews.... ya know, to keep the calories down. That Seacrest... so smart.]

Happy celebrating!

20 red white and blue outfits for the summer holidays

4th of July, Memorial Day, and Labor Day have all turned into some fashionable holidays since people are all about their 'Merican pride! So... to help you out this week, I found some of my favorite outfit inspirations for every occasion!

This is one of those outfits that could be worn anywhere. You have the blazer to impress people, and everything else is fun for when the drinks are kicking in.

Sequins or not, a white dress with a cardigan for when it's cooler at night and of course the red belt, shoes, and other accessories: Win.

How comfy is this for a BBQ?! It probably feels like pajamas, and everything is simple, but it totally works. I'm lovin' the simple hair with it too.

Chambray shirts could be your best friend for these holidays. Wear em with or over anything for that blue touch.

Flowy white skirts: Perfect for poolside, grill-side, beach-side, whatever-side hangouts!

Remember this from What Ya Wearin' Wednesday? Whether you have blue polka-dotted pants, shorts, skirt, dress, whatever... pairing them with a red blazer is a fantastic idea.

Also seen on WYWW: How can you go wrong with red pants and a starry shirt?!

This is so comfy, but totally classy! Everything flowy, and the red belt is peeking through for some fun.

Also an idea for a chambray shirt that may be one of my favorites: Pairing it with a red or white bodycon dress!

Easy, simple, great: Red shorts/pants and a blue striped shirt.

How cute is this?! They're all rather unique pieces, but if you can find em, you gotta wear em!

Another easy solution to coming up with some blue in your outfit: A jean jacket or vest!

This is perfect for a day out on the town, party hopping, whatever! White pants or shorts with a blue top and fedora... then add some hints of red with accessories!

You can find 'Merican bandanas anywhere right now, and they're so fun to wear in your hair!

Also: 'Merica scarves! Wear it normal, around your head, or my personal favorite idea: As a bandeau top! [You can get the one I have for $15 shipped right now.. bargain!]

You could also be inspired by any of the red, white and blue outfits I've worn recently:

I was also thinking the combination of polka dot jeans and a red striped shirt would be really cute and easy.

Hopefully this will help! So many options, you're bound to be able to create one of them with what you already have in your closet!

Also, I wanna do an extra post for #WhatYaWearin4th on Thursday.. so if you get a chance, take a picture and send it to me by Friday afternoon! I love holiday themed WYWW!
