13 ways to wear mint jeans in the winter

I got a tweet from a WYWW regular Tori tonight asking me to help her come up with Pinspired outfits for her new mint jeans!
You KNOW I love helping y'all, so I went to work with my BFF Pinterest, and came up with my favorite looks that are suitable for winter! [If the pin provided me with the proper link, I included it.]

A lot of the outfits have a white top of some sort because that's obviously the easiest way to go, but I love the idea of adding on a neutral colored moto-jacket. [OR a jean jacket, if you have a good one!]

Beyond my orange/coral contrast that I've worn with mint jeans before, I love a bolder or darker pink/fushia with them! The polka dots are just an awesome, added touch.

I'm still getting used to the idea of letting go of the "no navy and black together" rule, but this is fantastic! It's so much pulled together but still looks so clean!

If you're not ready for a pink or coral with mint, navy is more understated but still more color than black or white!

Even though mint and leopard both go with anything, I don't know that I would have ever paired them together... but this looks good.

Again, polka dots make it less plain, even if they are black and white! Or go contrasting jacket/top combo!

Another thing that matches everything: chambray shirts.

For the casual day: Throw on an oversized sweater, of course! Effortless.

Minus the boots, this outfit is winter-perfection. Grey and white and mint?! It screams snowy weather.

Pastels are supposed to be in this winter, but I'm still trying to make sure I don't look like an Easter egg. I like the idea of this outfit, but I show it to you with a warning: try it on and evaluate before you wear it out.

As I was typing this, Tori already put together an awesome outfit after looking at the two outfits I did before [here and here]!

I told her to add any neutral cardigan or jacket and it'd be perfect! I love it.

If I can ever be of service for [p]inspiration for you, just holler! We can help everyone else in the process, because I'm totally saving all of these outfits for myself, too!

guest pinspiration: emily's maxi skirt outfit is perfectly comfy!

This morning started off beautifully... with a picture Emily sent me of her Pinspired outfit! I've seen this chevron maxi skirt pinned several times, but Emily decided to copy it and make it her own!

Just the original skirt: $50!
Emily's Pinspired outfit: About $35!
She said she got everything from TJ Maxx, including her striped skirt for $10!

I see so many maxi skirt outfits that make me want to run out to the store and buy one, but I have no idea when I'd have a reason to wear one. It's not like we dress up to do this radio thing, but it was perfect for Emily to teach in today!
That outfit is just plain fantastic. A great combo of comfy, cute, dressy, and casual. Yay for Pinspiration!

guest pinspired post: kaci's wine-colored pants

I've been reading/seeing everywhere that wine/burgundy is one of the major colors of the season, and I've totally been trying to jump on the bandwagon... but Kaci Kruz beat me to it.

She's the latest to send in a "pinspired" outfit to show off on here, and I totally love it!

  • Pants: $22 from Target
  • Shirt: $7 from H&M
  • Blazer: $70 from The Limited
  • Shoes: $10 from Target

This is great! Obviously I love that she saved herself over $1100, but ever since I found some leopard flats for $12 at rue21 [here's similar ones from Target!], I've been wearing them with everything! She paired them with colored pants and stripes, and it totally works!

Don't forget, if you love doing Pinspired looks [outfits or hair/makeup], let me know! I'd love to feature you on here!

danchiz's pinspired geek chic style

Time for another guest Pinspired post! You might remember [one of my favorite people] DanChiz from the MTV TJ competition. Now he's an amazing style blogger and still kicking social media ass. He also enjoys Pinterest fashion just as much as I do, and has mastered the art of copying an outfit with different items.

-----

I think of my style as geek chic. I like to take classic men's looks and make them more fitted. I like a tight look rather than a loose feeling.

I took inspiration from a post on Pinterest (the left look) and recreated it my way. The post from Pinterest is all full price clothing that retails significantly higher than my recreation. I searched the likes of Gilt, Loehman's and Bluefly to recreate the look. I think I did pretty well!

As you notice, my look is significantly more fitted than the Pinterest post. I kept the same color scheme and even managed to find a tartan tie that resembled the one from the Pinterest look. The only thing I did not manage to directly recreate was the desert boots. Desert boots can be a little pricey and boat shoes don't kill the bank account so I decided to wear those in the look.

Think I faired well? Let me know!

You can find out more about my style on my blog, danchiz.com! And follow my Pinterest for my style inspiration!

-----

How great is he?! Everyone really should have a pocket DanChiz to carry with them everywhere, but since society frowns upon shrinking and cloning people, make sure you follow him. It's the next best thing.

I'd love to feature someone every week! So speak up if you'd like to be featured! [You don't have to be a  fancy style blogger!]

I told you all I wanted to get some guest writers/sharers on here with their own Pinspired outfits, and today I shall present you the first one from Brooke Taylor in Indiana!

First of all, have to thank my girl EB for letting me do a guest entry! This is awesome.. she’s a genius (duh!!) and I’m definitely gonna be looking to pinterest for more pinspiring outfits!

I got lots of compliments wearing this and what I love about the outfit is that each of the items look amazing with other things too, so definitely worth every penny spent, especially the blazer.

White blazer from Forever 21 [$28] Light pink skinny’s from Forever 21 [$8] Floral print tank from Charlotte Russe [$6] Patent beige Xappeal pumps from Payless [$18] Optional: White Purse from Walmart $13

Also, I found a similar hair-do (to the one in the pictures) on pinterest and put my own little spin on it! Below is the video tutorial on how to do it!
