live chatting the premiere of real world new orleans!

I asked, you voted! It looks like we're bringing back the ever-so-awesome Real World live chat for tonight's premiere!

I can't promise any "special guests," besides myself of course ;), but I am going to contact all those who matter and we'll see who shows up!

Come play! I'm excited! We'll be starting it up 15 minutes before the premiere and as usual- the first 25 people to join in will be unmoderated. All other comments will still be sent through, but it won't be instantly.

WOOHOO! The countdown has begun!

truth orr.... truth.

When I first kicked off my freakin' amazing idea to play Truth or Dare, I was pumped! People seemed into it and even MTV thought it was pretty great.

BUT! Ya know when you're playing, and everyone keeps picking Truth?! It gets kinda lame.

All I've been getting are Truths on my formspring!

Yikes. I better knock on wood and thank you guys for even playing, actually. I can't be taking you for granted! I guess I just want to express my desire to be challenged. K? K.

Onto my Truths:

Here's the "picture proof" that I haven't changed in over 23 years:

I can promise you without a doubt that this won't change me, no matter what the outcome. I won't let it. Even if I did, I have an amazing group of people who will slap me in the face if I do.

Keep 'em comin', kids! I'm diggin' any interaction I can get!

watch: little fockers trailer

So they're coming out with a third installment of the Fockers. It's going to be a Christmas movie. It's been 6 years since Meet the Fockers. Does anyone see this turning out well?!

The new one shall be called "Little Fockers." It looks like they have kids, but the plot is the same as it always is:

I figured this would be bad when I first heard about it, but then I thought it could be funny to see the Little Fockers getting into trouble. It doesn't look like that's what it's going to be.

Same plot between Gaylord and Jack, with an added touch of Jessica Alba on top.

I don't know, folks... I'll give it a shot, but I thought this died even with the last one.

britney is a fashion designer!

Ah, YES! Some GOOD B-Spears news!

She's not just the spokesperson/model for Candie's anymore! She's designed her own line!!

Check out some of the pics and videos:

She looks awesome. She looks happy, she looks pretty! Photoshop was probably involved, but who cares?! She already proved she'll show you the real her if you want to see it.

Her personality still seems a bit off, though. She's not giving us her all. Still- I can't complain. She's definitely put my mind at ease about her health and well-being. Thank goodness.

Keep it up, BritBrit! I'm rootin' for ya! I'll even wear some of those clothes! Some are totally cute! Two of my fave girls with clothes at Kohls! Holler!

tunes on tuesday 062910

I missed last week! I know, I suck. Forgive me?!

All the new, good music before it hits the radio waves!

Eminem ft. Rihanna--> Love the Way You Lie

I think Eminem has got a bit dark for me. What happened to the funny Slim Shady?! It's a pretty song on Rihanna's part, but that's about it.

Neon Trees--> Animal

I can't remember if I posted this a couple weeks ago or not. Either way- I kinda dig it. Totally downloadable.

Auburn--> La La La

It's fun! It's not a GOOD song, but it's fun!

Ciara ft. Ludacris--> Ride

BABY MAKIN MUSIC! Holyyy molyyy. She's droppin' the gymnast word, too! Dee-zang.

Iyaz--> So Big

Kinda weird that it's a bit slower than normal for him I feel like, but it's not bad! Let it grow on me and I'll probably love it.

Flo Rida ft. David Guetta--> Club Can't Handle Me

Club banger! David Guetta is on his ish!

Daughtry--> September

It's no secret I'm a Daughtry fan. It's a pretty, slow song. It's a bit different than their other stuff! I enjoy.

Kris Allen ft. Pat Monahan--> The Truth

Eep. I also heart Kris Allen. You might not. It's not the most amazing song ever... but if you like Kris, you'll like this.

Lights Over Paris--> Turn Off The Lights

Meh. Not my style, but if you like the punky rockish music, you might enjoy!

Miranda Lambert--> Only Prettier

She's coming off her biggest single and the song they're saying could be the best of the year... She's gotta lot to live up to... And I don't think she did it with this one.

Darius Rucker--> Come Back Song

Jammin' country song... mainly because it's Darius. I heart.

That's all for now! Havin' some issues with my "system" even though I learned the Internet's best kept secret today!

Enjoy!

omg! toy story irl!

Oh. Em. Gee. Check out how PERFECT this is!!

!!!!@(*&#$^!!!

I wonder if that's just the kid they modeled Andy after but he's not telling anyone! Either way- Imagine going to see the movie and being like "that's... me...."

It would instantly become my favorite movie EVER if that happened to me.

Then again, the movie was pretty freakin' awesome anyway. If you haven't seen it- you need to. It absolutely, without a doubt, 100% lived up to the hype. Phew.

watch etv: stilts challenge #2

I've had to put a halt on my stilts fun lately because of all this TJ excitement! I'm not sure I'm happy about it, but I think it'll help add more excitement once these TJ challenges get underway.

In the meantime, I got this challenge from my cousin at my goodbye party in Virginia: To hula hoop on stilts.

I totally think I conquered it... For a few seconds! Count to three and I still have it around my hips! [Count quickly, duh.]

Still accepting any and all challenges, and also truths and dares!

because you want to know: chris brown's mj tribute

I've been pretty outspoken about this Chris Brown[/Rihanna] thing since the beginning. It's created quite the controversy and I can only imagine how many people I may piss off now that I'm in a conservative state.

Anyway- I don't have to explain what I thought then. You can look it up if you're interested. :)

What we shall talk about is the absolutely amazing tribute Chris did for Michael Jackson at the BET Awards last night. If you somehow missed it, watch it now-

I think it was extraordinary. [Woo! There's a new word for me!] Chris is about as close as you're going to get [minus the little 4 year old Asian boy] to dancing like Mike, and he's clearly got the passion.

A lot of people are saying they think he faked the breakdown. That's dumb. You can't fake a breakdown that serious. That's genuine. That's him feeling something and relating to MJ and mourning his death. He was actually about to sing, not lip sync, but he couldn't. It was a magical moment. You can't fake that kind of magic.

I think Chris may have felt a connection with Michael Jackson that I've noticed between the two. [Here is where people are going to get mad.]

MJ's family have been trying to get it through everyone's heads how wrong it is that the world as a whole didn't show him the kind of respect he deserved while he was alive because of the "child molester" reputation he got. He got a bad rap and people wouldn't look past it.

Rumors circulated and "proof" was given that he was doing bad things to kids, and suddenly the world turned on the King of Pop. His music stopped having the same effect on many people. They started saying his lyrics were fake. This all happened even though no one truly knows what did or didn't happen. He was even acquitted, but the image remained.

Does this sound familiar to you? Chris Brown may or may not have been 100% at fault for the Rihanna incident. We don't know what happened. Only the two of them know the full story. Either way, Chris is taking the blame, doing community service, and watching his career fade into the sunset.

Sure, Chris Brown probably won't be some legendary King of R&B or anything... And yes, the bruises prove that something happened. Either way- He's an incredible artist, dancer, entertainer, and person. He still has a lot to share with the world, but many people want him gone.

It's not fair that people judged Michael Jackson on things that might have happened and now he'll never really know how appreciated he was. I think Chris sees this. He hears the Jackson family. He feels their pain and he fears it'll happen to him.

I could be making this up, but I don't think I'm too far off. I think it's time to let go of what happened in the past and let these people make music that we all know we still love, regardless of who they are.

/sermon. Cue the arguments.

poll: real world nola live chat?!

MOST of you probably know all about my live chats and my ridiculously in depth Real World DC coverage. [If you don't, now's the time to catch up. I promise you won't regret it.]

You also probably know Wednesday is the premiere of the NEW season of Real World: New Orleans.

Here's what I wanna know: Do you want me to host a live chat?! It probably won't include any of the cast [as of now, anyway], but we can all chat and catch up on life and love or hate what's goin' on. I'll do what I can to get some of the old regulars in there too [and maybe even some RWDCers].

I'll let ya know the results by Wednesday morning. Also: Fingers crossed "my plan" works and I have somethin' special for ya on Thursday night.....

love,
elizabethany

PS: It may or may not include some info I've found out during filming... We shall see how it goes.

watch: i was on the news again!

Eeep!! What a CRAZY week it's been. I can't lie- I'm a bit exhausted... But it's all worth it.

I showed you my appearance on the morning news, but now I shall show you what aired last night, and what went down behind the scenes of THAT news story.

It's an awesome package. I'm mad that I seem a little calm and maybe unsure at times... But let me make one thing clear- It's only because I'm deathly afraid of jinxing things, and I'm still not too sure if I'm supposed to have some sort of strategy to this... Hopefully having no strategy is best.

Also: My crooked mouth is ON POINT again! Aye yi yi. That thing is somethin' special, isn't it?!

the 2010 mermaid parade was pretty sweet

How have I never heard of the Mermaid Parade on Coney Island?!

Maybe I have heard of it... but clearly no one told me enough about it for it to stick in my head!!

My cousin Wendy is a photographer in NYC and went to the parade and took some really awesome pictures so now I'm super interested.

Apparently it was super special this year because it's all about representing sea-life and obviously that's an emotional subject right now considering the oil spill.

Everything is so extravagant and awesome! I love it! I NEVER would have thought people would get so into mermaids, but they do! Here are her pictures:

There's also a video from NY Daily News.

Can someone remind me to be there next year?! I mean... Hopefully I'll be in NYC anyway, so it shouldn't be a problem... But a reminder would be nice. ;)

watch: i was on the morning news!!

Two days ago I began my "media tour" of sorts with an interview with the DA, the newspaper in Morgantown! Today I decided to hit the broadcasting world and join the KBTX crew on Brazos Valley This Morning for a quick interview and a shot at doing the news!

[Okay, so it wasn't my decision... they invited me and OF COURSE I said I'd love to do it!]

The best part: I was on camera at 6:20 am. I woke up at 5:50 am. Swear on my life. It was a bit ridiculous how I was able to get ready, iron my shirt, straighten some of my hair, and put makeup on within 9 minutes, but I did it!

You're going to come with me every step of the way for this journey, right?! I hope so! I'm takin' ya with me regardless!

nifty?: dirty undies hiding place

I understand the need to have a place in your luggage where you can keep things safe from whoever may decide to snoop through it...

What I don't understand is why you'd want that safe place to be dirty underwear.

Sear's is selling these "Brief Safes" that look like streaked up dirty undies so you can keep your belongings in them without someone wanting to go through it.

Sure, I think it'd probably work... But what if you were with someone you hearted, they didn't know, and saw you diggin through them... They probably won't say anything, but they'll still judge, and you'll be effed.

Also: I'm not one to rat people out, but don't ya think this is something all the druggies are going to catch onto and try all the time?!

I don't know... Maybe I'm crazy... Maybe this is a genius idea... But tell me if I'm wrong...

Yuck. Gross.

watch: lala the pet penguin

Wild animals as pets may be cruel to some people, but I think it's freakin' awesome. Otters, lambs, elephants etc. are exactly what I want in my house when I grow up.

I'd also really love a penguin. A penguin named Lala who wears a backpack and walks to town on his own to get his fish, to be exact.

How freakin' GREAT is he?!? Ugh. I want him. [But OF COURSE it's a couple of Asians who have thought of this great way to keep him as a pet!]

let's play truth or dare!!

I was uber bored last night and was trying to figure out a way to entertain myself on Twitter besides stalking everyone I know and bugging the S out of all of you...

Then... DING! I had an idea! Let's play Twitter Truth or Dare!!!!

How it's going to work: You can submit your Truths or Dares to me on Twitter or Formspring, I will complete at least one a day, and then post it. Once it's posted, I'm allowed to do the same thing back to you. [If you dare me, I dare you...]

I think it's going to be TOTALLY fun! I'm really pumped!

Here's what went down last night:

The Truths:

I'll be honest... Some things I really don't like to answer... But I hate being the p-word in such a game. I'll answer anything... Just make it good.

The Dares:

[I thought I'd wait a little longer to break out my white-girl dance, but apparently not. You're welcome for completing your life with it.]

For the record, I did challenge him back! But he has yet to complete it... You can bet your bottom dollar it'll be posted if he ever does!

That's all for now! I have some more to complete as of now, and hopefully even more after you read this! Yay this is going to be fun!

nifty: outox- your new lifesaver

If this isn't the most genius invention ever to hit this planet, I don't know what is.

It's called Outox, but that means nothing to you.

What it does: Un-drunks you. No really. It claims to decrease your level of hammered-drunk just by drinking one can! It also prevents hangovers!

Scientifically speaking: it does something along the lines of breaking down your blood cells or alcohol in them so that your BAC is lowered, you feel less drunk, and you can function better.

Ummmm... Can we say HELL YES?!

Sure it probably doesn't completely take away your intoxication, but at least you can try to prevent any "oh no what the H did I do last night"s before they happen!

I'm in love. I don't care if they were invented in France, I want to order a lifetime's supply right now.

Sugar Daddy, where you at?! I need you! Pronto!

watch: dog vs car

Consider this the quick, silly, freakin' AWESOME video of the day!

What happens when a car honks at a dog and wants it to move the eff out of its way?!

Well... No need to say "pick on someone your own size," that's for sure.

AWESOME. I totally giggled out loud and I think you did too.

DOGGY FTW!

on the racks: lady gaga does rolling stone.. again!

It's crazy that there's always something to talk about with Lady Gaga, and yet every single time we talk about her- she looks different!

Okay, maybe that's not crazy. That's actually the norm. Whatever.

Anyway, her latest news is being on the cover of the double issue of The Rolling Stone.

As much as people are saying OMG SHE HAS GUNS and IT'S SO TYPICAL GAGA!, I think it's rather blah. Sure, she has guns that look attached to her bra... but her face and hair are totally normal. You can see her face!!!

The shoes in the full-size picture: A little odd. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that platforms don't become the only accepted fashionable shoe again.

The best part of the article is this quote:

"When I wake up in the morning, I feel just like any other insecure 24-year-old girl... Then I say, ‘Bitch, you’re Lady Gaga, you get up and walk the walk today’.”

I want to start thinking like that. I want to yell at myself and call myself a B when I'm lazy. Then I shall kick life in the balls and say take that. [Woops.. I'm getting side tracked.]

She also admitted she's modeling her celebrity after Michael Jackson... But I think we already knew that.

So thank you, Lady Coocoo, for being a lot less odd in this here article. I enjoy you today.

watch: mtv tj promo

O... M... G...

I'll be honest... I didn't know how this little competition would go. I had no idea if it would be a big deal or not. Apparently- It's going to be pretty huge.

Someone told me they saw me on a promo on Spike yesterday, and apparently it was shown a bunch of times.

Thankfully fellow TJ contestant Rolfe captured it and put in on YouTube for all of us to see!

Wowza. It may only be a small picture, but that's SWAY talking about ME! [and 17 other people... but who cares?!]

I'm freakin' pumped. Thank you to EVERYONE who's helping out to spread the word! You're amazing!

love,

PS: I also took it upon myself to make an uber sweet MTV logo just like I used to for Real World DC! Holler!

watch: dasean butler's operation comeback

You know by now that I'm a WVU Mountaineer... I'm obviously a gigantic fan.

I'm also a big fan of Da'Sean Butler... for obvious reasons, and just because he's a great guy and very deserving of an awesome future.

I met him and hung out with a couple of the players a couple of years ago [which I'm 98% positive he probably has no memory of, but that's okay] and he just seemed so humble and level-headed. I heart that.

Anyway, if you didn't know- He got injured in the Final Four and it was probably one of the most emotional things I have ever watched in sports.

Now he's trying to get better so he can get drafted into the NBA.

Just like every other video I've watched about him, this one is awesome and emotional in every way... And you'll like it whether you're a fan or not.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for him big time! I'm sure he doesn't need it, but I shall do it anyway.
