change of plans

Originally I planned on writing my usual recap/review for "For the Record" tonight.. But I changed my mind.

I decided that in order for this documentary to get its full effect, you guys need to watch it.

Only thing I think is mm, necessary to repeat is she said "I don't like it when they call it the comeback."

So, I won't say it anymore.

Check it out.. Seriously. I'm sure it'll be playing over and over all week, and it's worth your time. Not only did she look good, but she sounded great.

She's hurting bad.. But she's getting through it. And they did a damn good job showing everyone who she is again.

Amazing job, Britney and crew!! I absolutely loved it!

love,
elizabethany

PS: Also, she mentioned the breakup with Justin being kind-of the beginning of her "not really knowing what to do." That's interesting.. I always said it, but I didn't know if I was right. I wonder what Justin said about this whole thing... I know celebs were watching or are going to.

PPS: These are some pictures from her Glamour Magazine photoshoot.. She looks amazing. And this counts for the countdown.. 2 more days!!!

don't forget!!

Don't forget!!! Britney Spears' documentary on MTV: "For the Record" at 10pm!!!!

Repeat at 11:10!!

Don't miss it!! :)

dummy

Hey! I got a GREAT idea!!!

Let's go to the club! But first, let me grab my gun, load it, and put it in my pocket! Yeah! That'll be fun!

I'm thinking that was going through Plaxico Buress of the NY Giants' head last night.. Because that's what he did, and ended up shooting himself in the leg. What a genius.

Safety first, my friend!!

He sure is throwing his season around, eh?! Don't know that I am super happy to have him on my fantasy team, but I am not complaining about his absence in tomorrow's game against the Redskins.

Plax spent the night in the hospital, but nothing is life threatening. He should be okay in no time. :)

Get well soon, superstar!

human stampede

I had heard that WalMart's Black Friday sales were so amazing that the stores would be lined with people well before opening hours, and that once let in, it would be crazy.

Crazy, understandable. Mad house.. Fine. But a zoo?! Or even it being like wildlife in Africa, is not okay.

In Nassau County, Long Island, NY, when the doors opened at 5 AM, a worker was KILLED after being ran over by out of control shoppers!

Literally, RAN over. By a human stampede.

That's not it, either. At least FOUR other people were taken to the hospital.. Including an 8 month pregnant lady.

This is something in the movies. The cartoon movies. Absolutely nuts.

You send Daddy or whoever off to work at WalMart and next thing you know, he's trampled to death. Ahhhh!!!

Rest in peace, dude. I apologize for the crazies.

For today's countdown celebration, I bring you some of Britney's Pepsi Superbowl commercials.. From back when she used to be one of the main spokespeople.

The picture is part of her work with Herbal Essences. Definitely her best print ads..

This one is definitely one of my favorites, if not the absolute favorite-->

Pretty sure this isn't for the Super Bowl, but it's kind of interesting-->

Ahh, she was so beautiful and into her work!

3 days til CIRCUS!!!!! 1 day til FOR THE RECORD!!! :-D

Who's pumped?!

love,
elizabethany

PS: She was also on France's Star Academy last night.. Which is like their version of Idol. She performed Womanizer.. Check it out-->

The lady's face in the beginning is terrible and hilarious and I love it. I'm thinking BritBrit isn't really singing, but a) not many people do these days and b) it's still a step up from last year's VMAs.

the ultimate

So what does Rick Astley have to say about rickrolling??

Remember a couple of months ago I gave you the McCain example of rickrolling?

At Thursday's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, the man behind the music responded..

WOW!! Amazing. Talk about the ULTIMATE rickroll!!! He surprised everyone, and made everyone who understands laugh out loud, I'm sure.

Bravo, man!

please accept

Hey all,

I apologize for my absence the past 24 hours.. But you're going to have to deal with it.

...At least until late afternoon Saturday.

Sometimes a girl has got to do a job that actually pays her in order to get the bills paid!!! ;)

I'll be back in no time! [Give me like, 18 hours from right now.]

every step we take

It's been a year since Sean "Meast" Taylor of the Washington Redskins passed away after being shot inside of his home in Florida.

#21 was an incredible player no matter what team he was on, and I would like to pay tribute to the man real quick, on the one year anniversary.

The Redskins are going to be inducting Taylor into the Ring of Fame before tomorrow's game against the Giants.. This is what a couple people have been saying at Redskins Park this week about it all...

“His life touched so many of us in such deep and lasting ways. His presence is all around us, in our organization and among our fans.”
--Dan Snyder, Redskins owner

“This year, we will be honoring him. He will be a member of our Ring Fame and it’s exciting to see his name go up there because he is a deserving player who practiced hard, played hard, and--even in the small time that he was in the National Football League--made his name be known. He put fear into offensive players to come across the middle and he was a playmaker.... [After a rough game, Sean said,] ‘You’re doing well, we all have to play better and all of these L’s will turn into W’s.’ It’s small conversations like that I remember having with Sean."
--Jason Campbell, Redskins QB

“He was one of these guys that if you needed something, if you needed a friend, he was a great friend. He was going to be there for you. That’s rare among people in general and it’s rare among guys with his talent. He was very unique.”
--Greg Blache, Redskins' defensive coordinator

"It’s definitely changed me, the way I handle and the way I carry myself,” Portis said. “I don’t worry about what other people think. Sean didn’t like attention and he didn’t do characters like I did. But you see the effect that he left behind. You realize, ’What’s my effect on people going to be when I’m gone? How are people going to look at me?’ I think about that the way I come out and practice, pushing myself through [drills] that I would normally sit back and take a mental rep on. Just being accountable and always wanting to be giving, making sure you’re giving your all.”
--Clinton Portis, Redskins RB and best friend of Taylor

"I hope we all go out and play lights-out football like Sean would have played. That’s something I’ve tried to do this year: every time the game is in a critical situation, I’m looking up there knowing that this is a critical time and that ‘21’ would do something to make a play. It makes you want to go out there and be the best you can be, especially on his day. His day. It makes you want to go out there and give fans a memory of that day and what went on that day when it comes to Sean.”
--Santana Moss, Redskins WR and best friend of Taylor

It definitely hit Santana and Clinton the hardest on the team.. And it shows in how they play this year. They say it now, but we've seen it all season. Portis especially almost came out as a whole new player. He still wears his #21 shirt under his jersey every game, and Santana still throws up the 21 every time he makes a big play.

They're not the only ones hurting, that's for sure. I know fans still throw the 21 up quite a bit, and it's probably the #1 jersey worn.. But that's just an assumption on my part based on what I have seen.

We miss you Sean. May you rest in peace and keep an eye on our 'Skins. You were one of the most amazing players in the NFL.. Certainly that I have ever seen in my lifetime. You inspired so many, in multiple ways, and we'll never forget you or your infamous ridiculously-hard hitting tackles. Keep doing your thing up there. And from all of your fans down here, we love you.

woah

Umm... I've always wanted to go kite surfing, but after seeing this video, it might be time to rethink that. [Skip ahead to :25 or :30. I don't know if you need the sound, I didn't use it.]

.....

Jaw-- officially dropped. Yes, this is snowboarding and not surfing but.. THE GUY LIFTED UP INTO THE AIR!!! And it didn't seem like he meant to.

Holy moly. That's crazy. I hope he's okay...?

It did look like fun, though. Just don't try it at home, I guess.

get in the spirit

Not only is it Thanksgiving, but it's also Top 10 Thursday!!

And besides eating too much you have to unbutton your pants, watching football, playing football, getting your cheeks pinched by family members, and checking out tomorrow's ads, one of the best things to do on Turkey Day is watch a Christmas movie.

It's the day that marks the holiday season, and what better way to get into the holiday spirit than to watch a great Christmas flick with your fam?!

So, today, I present to you..

Top 10 Christmas Movies To Ignite The Spirit

10. The Polar Express
A lot of people really overlook this movie. It's one of those not cartoon, but not quite real movies that technology has created. More importantly, it's a classic story of a boy who doesn't believe in Santa Clause until someone takes him for a journey. Kids enjoy everything about it, and adults enjoy how amazing the visuals are, as well as going back to the times where they too went through that time. ;) It's a soon-to-be Christmas classic, I know it.

9. A Christmas Story
Shoot me for putting this down here on the list.. I don't care. Yes, it's a classic movie. It's an amazing movie. I love seeing Ralphie get his tongue stuck to the pole. Here's my issue--> It's the perfect movie for CHRISTMAS DAY. It's on TV for the entire 24 hours, and that's when it's the perfect time to watch it. It is a great holiday movie though, so it's definitely a possibility for tonight's activities.

8. How the Grinch Stole Christmas
I'm going for the Jim Carrey one, here, mainly because of the issue I have with Christmas Story.. The cartoon is way more Christmas Day-like than the life-like one. Plus, Jim is very funny, and it's a lot more family friendly than the childish cartoon. However, it's a classic Christmas story, and is one that helps remember what it's all about.

7. The Holiday
This is mainly for the ladies, but if guys let their guard down, they can enjoy it too. It's certainly a love story [or two] that makes two very lonely people, maybe not so lonely anymore. It shows how the season can bring new beginnings, hope, and happiness to everyone all over the world. It'll pull you into their lives for the night, and that's okay.

6. Bad Santa
Maybe not the most family oriented movie, but it's a good one for adults to watch tonight. Seeing Santa in a light most people aren't used to creates fantastic humor. Also, it's not too Christmas-y that you feel bombarded with spirit. You can watch the stores prepare their displays and Santa and elves while you prepare to finish your last minute shopping.

5. Scrooged
The ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future have been replayed over and over again over the years, but this rendition is one of the best comedy-wise. Bill Murray is fantastic, and this movie is probably the one we can thank for getting his career catapulted. Sit around, laugh, and enjoy a story everyone knows.

4. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
Who doesn't love the Griswald family?! This movie went straight to video, but also straight to everyone's list of great Christmas movies. The holiday brings a lot of stress to some people, so it's nice to sit back and watch another family struggle to make everything work.. But of course, it doesn't come easy.. The laughs do, though.

3. The Santa Clause
This is a movie that we have seen grown into a classic. The sequels were great, too, but nothing beats the original. Don't believe in Santa? Once your dad becomes Santa, I think you might. It's another one thats good for everyone in the family, from kids to grandparents, girls to men. Santa Clause is coming to town, are you ready for him?

2. Home Alone
Some people don't always think of Home Alone as strictly a Christmas movie, which is reasonable, but it is. It's a movie that never gets old, and can even be watched throughout the year, but is perfect to launch the holiday season. Poor Kevin is left by himself with no family, while we sit with our families and watch him cleverly and single-handedly destroy the bad guys.

1. Elf
The best Christmas movie when it comes to one-liners, by far. "Smiling is my favorite." "SANTA! I KNOW HIM!" It's hilarious and a movie that anyone of any age can enjoy and appreciate. Every character has something different to offer, and they mesh together perfectly. Plus, it's not the old-time Christmas movie that is TOO Christmas that'll make you feel like you're celebrating too early. It's enough to put you in the mood and get EXCITED for the holiday.

I'm sure I'll have some haters on this list.. Feel free to leave your thoughts, I can handle them. Either way, I'm right though. :)

Enjoy your night! And get ready for the best "season" of the year!

so much for privacy

When you're bored at a college blowout game, with your girlfriend or your husband, what do you do?
A) Leave
B) Get some food
C) Find someplace private and get jiggy wit' it.
D) Find someplace private and get jiggy wit' it with someone other than who you're with.

Yep.. Once again, you should have picked the last option, because that's what a couple did at the Iowa vs. Minnesota game last weekend.

A 38 year old woman and 26 year old man, both from Iowa, but different parts, escaped to the public bathrooms and put on a show on top of the toilet.

Yes, people were inside watching, clapping, cheering, etc. And yes, they had been at the game with their husband and girlfriend, who were also watching.

Wow. Yikes! It may have been a good idea and a fun time THEN, but now they're facing charges for indecent conduct.

"It's a long ride back to Iowa," the cop said.

Yeah, I'd say. An awkward and long one.

Hope it was worth it!

not legit

Uh oh! Can you believe it?! Something that The Hills cast did wasn't exactly legit! Woahh.

The wedding that Speidi had in Cabo last week, wasn't made legal!

Because it was done out of the country, it could be recognized here, but only with steps that must be taken.

Not only do they have to have a marriage license, but in order to get married in Mexico, they had to get blood work, provide birth certificates and other paperwork.. Which they didn't do. None of it.

They have 10 days to get it done in Cali after they're back from their honeymoon, so we'll see.

Oh, and is it any surprise that the MTV cameras WERE with them?! And it will be on an upcoming episode?! Who woulda thunk! A not fully real marriage, with cameras catching everything on tape!

I guess we'll see how they handle it once they're back, but for now they are not Mr. and Mrs. Speidi.

Ohh, The Hills. How I love it...

work it boy

Have you guys seen Justin Timberlake and Beyonce from LAST week's SNL?!

I had heard about it, but never seen it until yesterday's Ellen [That turned me into a Beyonce fan, as Ellen has a way of doing]. It's pretty hilarious.

First of all, Justin has better legs than most of my girlfriends, definitely including me. Second, he is WORKIN IT!!! He's better than some of her real dancers!

I wish I could get the full, actual video.. But it's MIA. Sorry!

I want to see more of this, and pronto! This is exactly what I would do to make fun of her. Yesss.

Good work, everyone!

wimp?

Let's go back to when you were 6 years old, and you tripped and fell a couple times a day. Would you cry sometimes? Or maybe just want your mommy for some comfort after you were embarrassed?

Well a little girl from Moundsville, WV doesn't have her mom to go to for comfort.. Not unless she likes the "comfort" of a cigarette on her back.

Yeah, a 6 year old's mother BRANDED the word "wimp" into her daughter's back after she fell, and then cried. [That's supposedly the picture of it. I don't see the word, but maybe it's just the picture.. Or I'm blind. I see the dotted i though. Wow.]

I hardly think the girl is a wimp if this happened and she didn't even tell anyone. Someone at her school saw it and reported it to the police!

Again, this is another one of those stories that makes me so mad that people like this can even have kids. The daughter is in foster care now while the mom waits in jail.. But who knows what will happen next.

These are the kids I pray for to find a better home/life/whatever. Stay strong.
These are also the moms that I want to grab by the neck and throw them against the wall hundreds of time like I'm some super-human. Ugh. YOU'RE CRAZY, LADY!

6!!

The countdown continues!!! Only 6 more days until "Circus" is released, and only 4 days until "For the Record" premieres on MTV!

To get you pumped, check out these old performances from BritBrit.

Teen Choice Awards, 1999.

She's totally really singing during "Sometimes"! I'm not sure about "Crazy", but who knows. Her voice is beautiful and not all computerized. And the belly shirt! Man, those were the ISH back then!

VMA's, 1999.

I love the whole performance! And with NSYNC! WOOO! They are some seriously good dancers though, am I right?! Nowadays people don't do such things. Not as many creative performances, I feel.

Look at me sounding like an old mom who wants to go back to the "gool ol days." Don't get me wrong, there's good stuff out there right now.. But the past should never be forgotten, right?! ;)

oldies and goodies

Ever wonder what it would be like to see your grandparents sing all the songs you love?

Wonder no more.. This video shows you a little somethin' about what it might be like.

They made the video for a reason, that you can read about here.

They wanted to catch kids' attention, and I think they did.

My favorite is definitely the last song-- "Hot in Herre." They even danced in the beginning of it! I love it!

Rock on, grannies!

love,
elizabethany

PS: Speaking of choirs, here's another choir. This time, younger kids/teens singing an oldies song, combined with something newer. It's not the greatest singing, but it's 100+ boys, and they create ALL of the sounds, and it sounds really good!

a little late

First of all, it's been 2 days since the AMA's aired, so I'm a little late, but I'm not worried about it.

Second, I'm not sure if anyone cares about what I think about them or not, but I'm going to tell you anyways.

The opening; Christina Aguilera style, was not up to par. I would expect a LOT more from HER, as well as the ceremony.

I loved that she sang a BUNCH of her songs, from all different time periods, but you could barely hear her on any of the songs. Plus, her outfits were lame.

Seeing the New Kids perform was of course very cool, no doubt about it. They didn't do terrible, but it feels very weird watching them get up and do those dance moves when they're like, 40 years old or whatever. Hmmm..

Pink was AMAZING as usual. I think she's probably my favorite non-American Idol live singer. She doesn't have the most perfect voice, but it is SO real. You can tell she loves what she's doing, and she's not afraid to put her real voice, without computers, out there for everyone to hear. [She also did it on yesterday's Ellen in Vegas.]

Jimmy Kimmel did NOT stop cracking on the JoBros ALL night, and it was HILARIOUS! The funniest part about it is every time they flashed over to the Disney brothers, they looked PISSED.

Taylor Swift, girl, you got two strikes. It was a terrible performance. She has gotten so boring when it comes to performing. She basically just stood there and sang to us, some song a lot of people don't know, and it was pretty boring. I know she's talented, I'm not going to deny that, but these past 2 performances she has given have been HUGE, and totally blown.

Let's talk about how FLY Neyo is. I can't say he's the flyest guy ever, because that goes to Jamie Foxx.. But DANG the boy has some serious swagger to him, and it works! Plus, he's a good singer, and his performance was great. And maybe I'm brainwashed into thinking that, but it's okay.

On the opposite of fly, we had Rihanna's dress. It looked like an oversized napkin.. Am I right?! I love her, I think she's great. But that dress has GOT to go.
On the other hand again, Chris Brown looked cool.. He had a different type of suit on. He reinvented the definition of a suit, and I approve.

Oh snap! Kanye finally won his first AMA! Two even!! Check him out! I wonder if it happened because of all his complaining last year. Either way, he got them, and he definitely had some interesting things to say about it. First he wanted to remember Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, and the Beatles.. He then went on to say that people like him, Rihanna, Chris Brown, etc are those people, and they have to do better than the past. He said he wants to be Elvis... Interesting. Thennn, his second award he gave to Wayne because he said that's who deserved it. He said last year, it should have been his, but this year, Wayne got it. That's nice of you, 'Ye. As much as I hate on your cockiness, I think I liked your comments at the AMA's... However scripted or whatever they might've been.

Did anyone else think Leona Lewis sounded a little country? She is an AMAZING singer [and thank goodness she didn't sing Bleeding Love!!] and she definitely showed it on Sunday night.. But it had this different genre feel to it, and I liked it.

Miley, Miley, Miley... She sang "Fly On The Wall".. And it was.. Uhhh, interesting... To say the least. She was jumping and screaming and dancing and whatevering all over the stage. It was NOT very Disney-like, but I guess we've known she's not the most innocent girl ever, huh? Especially because it was her 16th birthday! [Happy Birthday, Girl!!]

Honestly though, as weird as it was to watch, it was a really good performance. Kind of reminded me of something Pink would do.

Mariah Carey is a bad lip syncer. Very bad. And very obvious.

Beyonce.. How many times must we see the same booty-shakin dance moves that we see EVERY performance you give?! I'm kinda over it. Oh, and the white girl dancing next to you, was terribly awkward. Pick someone better next time. The funny thing was seeing everyone in the audience dancing and getting into the performance, though. Good stuff.

I've already touched on Sarah McLaughlin and Pink in a previous post, but I have got to say, that was one of the better performances I have seen in a LONG time! Seriously, they pulled of magnificence. Another collabo was Alicia Keys and Queen Latifah.. And some other lady I didn't know that my DVR cut off; Ugh. Alicia is always good. [And she looked a LOT better performing than she did throughout the night with the random jewel hanging down. That was weird.] Latifah was a little on the weirder side, I think, but it wasn't bad!

And how about Chris Brown as artist of the year?! Hmmm... I mean, I think he's great, I think he's definitely everywhere. I think his songs are always being played, and I'm okay with that. But, I think there are more talented, played out, talked about, etc artists out there that could have gotten the award. *Cough Lil Wayne Cough* Even if I would have voted for Chris, I don't know if he's the most deserving.. Sorry.

But yeah, if you missed the show, you missed out. I love what they're doing with awards shows these days. It's a lot MORE performing, and a lot LESS random nonsense/handing out awards/listening to acceptance speeches.. And that's how it should be for something that is televised for all of us. :)

Until next time--

love,
elizabethany.

tunes on tuesday 112508

This might be quick and short because unfortunately today is very hechtic.. Sorry!

Elliot Yamin--> The Bridge is Burning

He's back! Remember from American Idol? And he sang "Wait for You." This song is very much like every other song I have heard him do, which is a good thing! I totally approve. [Of course! He's an Idol... ;-P]

Yung Jeezy feat. Pharrell--> Rumor Has it

Rumor Has It (Featuring Pharrell Williams) - Young Jeezy

It's good, but not amazing. I love everything Pharrell does, but this isn't one of my most favorites. I don't know how much I like the way they "compliment" each other.

Chamillionaire--> Internet Nerd's Brother

SUCH a clever song! I laughed a lot. Sound-wise, or overall song-wise, I'm not a huge fan.. But I LOVE the lyrics.

Chris Brown--> Froze

A slow song from Chris! I feel like it's been a while since I have heard one from him, and I love this one! Lyrics are pretty good, too. I approve, for sure.

If you haven't heard it yet, Akon ft. Kat Deluna--> Right Now (Na Na) Remix

I don't like it. At all. I LOVE the original version, so maybe that's why, but this is terrible to me. Ugh, remixes aren't ALWAYS necessary, guys.

PS!! 7 DAYS!!!! ;)

Honestly, I refuse to listen to sneak peeks right now, so you're going to have to tell me how you feel about it!!

Have a good night, everyone!!

tatted up

Rihanna's got a new, snazzy tattoo on her hand!!

It's tribal, and apparently means "strength and love."

I kinda like it, actually! And she can pull this off, for sure!

Love it!

love,
elizabethany

PS: Did anyone else sense the awkwardness between her and Chris Brown at the AMA's?! I certainly did.

whatever i like

What would Obama say if he could produce a rap song?

He'd probably do it much like TI's "Whatever You Like" but remix it to say things like "you want it I got it, propose it, I'l sign it.. Tell them Republicans be quiet."

Wanna see? Check it out-->

So funny! The guy sounds JUST like him in the beginning. And the lyrics are ON POINT the whole way through. So clever.. And whoever did this-- Mad props.

love,
elizabethany

PS: Thanks to D-Why! for providing me with the video! :)

incredible

This guy, Carl Joseph, is the "most amazing athlete ever."

No really though, he played some SERIOUS football.. With ONE leg!

He made some great tackles too! Check it out-->

Wow. As much as it looks really funny seeing him bounce around the field like a pogo stick, he's absolutely incredible.

Milf asked if I'd trade one leg to have his athleticism.. My answer was probably not.. But would YOU?!

I can't imagine not having a leg, but this guy has got some serious detirmination, strength, skill.. everything!

You're an inspiration, Mr. Joseph. :)

serious fans

If these girls aren't David Archuletta's biggest fans, I don't know who is.

This is a video of a couple girls finding out who the winner of last season's American Idol was... And they're not very happy.

[The very end is probably the best part.]

Wow. That's serious. I almost wonder if it's fake or not.. But who knows.

Either way, you girls are crazy. David Cook totally deserved to win.. Even if he doesn't shave.. ;-P

I do love a good photographer..

And whoever took this, deserves a raise.

Talk about capturing a "Kodak Moment." HAHA!

Gotta watch those facial expressions, boys.. They'll get ya every time.

quick preview

Later tonight I will be posting my response to last night's American Music Awards..

But in the meantime, if you missed it, you need to check out this AMAZING performance by Sarah McLaughlin and Pink.

Seriously, they were amazing. Best part of the night. Thank you, ladies.

woopsies to enjoy

Babies don't have the best balance in the world, duh. But it never gets old watching them accidentally fall or whatever.

So here is a collection of some great baby bloopers.

My favorites--> The kid almost pressing into a handstand on the driveway, the drunk lookalike who is drinking something while spinning, then falling, and THE TABLE PUSHERS!

So great. And don't worry, you're allowed to laugh.

Let me know your favorites!

it's official!

Welp, no more waiting around to see if they're going to break up.. Speidi is officially MARRIED!

Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, The Hills' favorite couple, eloped in Cabo on Thursday.. Minus all family, of course.

No one knew about the wedding, including all of their friends and family. The only "person" who knew, was Us Magazine.. Where Spencer was able to share his vows with the world:

"Heidi, from the moment you came into my life, I knew my life would never be the same without you. You are the light in my life like the sun to the earth! Your loving warmth makes me want to be a better person. Being with you, I feel complete. I'm honored to even be able to call you my wife. You are the most amazing, loving and caring woman on this planet. I will love you forever and always."

Heidi's vows were just as.. Mmm.."Cute.":

"From the moment I met you, I knew I wanted to marry you. I never knew love existed like this. You have opened my eyes and shown me a new world. Every moment with you is magical and amazing. You are truly my prince charming and dream guy. I love you with all my heart and soul and promise to be the best wife to you every day for the rest of our lives. I can't wait to see what life brings us. I will always be by your side!"

Ugh, I just don't know how I feel about this. They're happy, according to sis Stephanie Pratt, so I guess we should all be happy for them?

"I'm so happy for them. I haven't talked to them since last week. We've left messages. Evidently the honeymoon is too fabulous for them to call us back. But I'm not surprised, because I knew none of us would be invited—which of course is sad. But it's too exciting to dwell on that! I'm gonna get them the coolest wedding gift."
--Stephanie Pratt

But what if we're team LC?!

Just kidding.. Kinda. Congrats, ya'll! And good luck!

5. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie--> 34 million$
4. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill-->35 million$
3. David and Victoria Beckham--> 58 million$
2. Will and Jada Pinkett Smith--> 85 million$
1. Jay-Z and Beyonce--> 162 million$

So what this tells me is, I need to shake my booty, retire and then come back, marry an international soccer star or the best actor out there right now, or create beautiful music or movies with the love of my life in order to live the dream of the richest couple.

I'm kinda shocked by this list though, to be honest.I thought the Pitts would be up there more, and Jay Z and Beyonce would be down some.. But I'm not always right, of course.

I still just want to know which one of you guys is willing to support me in LA when I'm trying to do my thing...? Any takers?

so terrible

Something really sad: A 19 year old committing suicide.
Something even more sad, and terrible: A 19 year old committing suicide, live on the internet, for everyone to watch, comment, and joke about.

This happened last Wednesday, as a guy posted on a bodybuilding website that he would kill himself later that night.

Apparently no one took it seriously, because as he overdosed on pills and fell asleep, no one came to help him. Some people made calls, but no one got to him until 12 hours after the posting.. It was too late.

While he slept, many users watching joked about it, laughing at the situation, thinking it was a joke.. But it wasn't.

This isn't the first time this has happened, but his dad is hoping this incident will make it so there are SOME internet regulations.

"I think they are all equally wrong. It's a person's life that we're talking about. And as a human being, you don't watch someone in trouble and sit back and just watch. I think after this incident and probably other incidents that have occurred in the past, they all point to some kind of regulation is necessary. I think it is wrong to have this happen for hours without any action being taken from the people in charge. Where were they all the time?"
--The 19 year old's dad
I can't imagine even KNOWING someone who watched this. And imagine if you thought it was a joke, and found out it wasn't?!

What a tragedy.. I can't think about it anymore. :(

8!

You better believe I'm going to have a countdown for December 2, AKA Britney Spears' 27th birthday, AKA her big circus performance on Good Morning America, AKA the day her album comes out, AKA the big comeback day.

8 more days!! And only 6 more until the big documentary on MTV!!

A couple preview quotes from the show:

"I used to be a cool chick but I feel that the paparazzi has taken that away from me, like, the way I used to live my life. I used to be a cool chick but I'm not anymore."

She also says after the first 2 years of being a celebrity, she didn't want to do it anymore..

"I just wanted to stop. I wanted to create a new life."

The fact that she understands all of this is what makes me believe she's ready for this comeback. Only time can tell though, right?

i spy pee pee

I got somethin' for my ladies.. My ladies that like English men, especially.

Some paparazzo snatched a clip of Prince William's goodies!

Well, most of them. He was taking a leak by a fence and wasn't as covered as he thought. Woopsies.

If you're of age, click here. :)

brainwashed

Yet another great, controversial/conversational list from AskMen.

Top 10 Ways Men Brainwashed Women

10. Pole Dancing--> Because men wrote Striptease and Showgirls, which apparently made women feel a sense of empowerment when it came to pole dancing.. Which led to Carmen's demonstration on how to do it, and now people want to make it an official sport.

9. Ditching the van--> Soccer moms tend to drive nice, "spacey" SUV's these days.. Apparently thanks to men convincing them that they're a better route to go than the minivan. Even though they don't have much room, and they're gas guzzlers, we "listen to guys when they tell us it's better."

8. LUGs--> Suddenly it's become a "cool thing" to kiss a girl, and like it.. As Katy Perry has demonstrated. They're saying men have made it another stage in life.. A step into becoming a woman. We are proud to kiss a woman, and they're proud to watch.

7. Daycares at work--> I don't get this one. They say us taking our kids to a daycare at work only gives us more work to worry about... I don't see how. I think it would take away less stress because you can take lots of breaks and just walk down to see your kid. :)

6. Colored KitchenAid appliances--> Again, not sure if they really thought this one through. Yes, we love them.. and yes it's probably a lot more likely that they will be bought if it's a pretty color, but AskMen is claiming it will get used a lot more just because it's colorful. I don't believe it. I buy plenty of things because they're pretty and never use them.

5. Fake boobies--> Yes, very true. Somehow women have this kick that getting bigger boobs will boost their self esteem. Maybe true.. But you want to boost your self esteem because you want to impress the men, correct? Or you base how you feel about your looks on how men react to them.

4. Makeup--> At first thought, I didn't agree. Makeup is definitely a woman's thing, it's fun, it boosts confidence, but it's more than all of that too. Then they said "you do all the work while we reap the benefits." Okay. Yep. True. Touchet.

3. Waxing--> Yeah, the Brazilian wax-- Unnecessary. Yet many women go through all of that pain, and awkwardness, just to make it look "pretty" down there for their man. I can't help but think it's not worth it.. But some have been brainwashed, for sure.

2. The Pill--> I'm not going to be able to explain this one better than them, so I'll let them do it. They convinced me of this one, too. Not that they brainwashed us into taking the pill, but they certainly are getting most of the benefits. "No condom -- sweet. No withdrawal method -- even better. No side effects of nausea and increased chance of heart attacks, stroke and blood clots if you smoke -- great."

1. Supermom--> Oh so true. Though the whole doing everything for your kids thing may be coming from all the traditions back in the day, a lot of moms are really doing anything and everything for their kids as Daddy sits on the couch and turns on some football.

Definitely a good list. I personally would have rearranged some things. LUGs, boobs and pole dancing need to move up.. Way up.

hangin around

If you thought you were going to get rid of Sarah Palin after the election, think again.

The lady is still crazy.

Recently, she pardoned a turkey for Thanksgiving.

Even more recently, she did an interview, right in front of a man who was slaughtering turkeys [and awkwardly staring at the camera], while she talked about how she was in the right place to take care of the turkey for dinner.

First of all, even if she hadn't pardoned a turkey, this has got to be the worst placement to do an interview.. Both on her part and the reporter's. It's terrible that you see that going on.

Second, she's an idiot. You have to observe your surroundings, Governor Palin. Not everything is super pretty, and great, and awesome and whatever else you want to call it in Alaska.

problem..

Why on Earth is Madonna wearing this?!

This is so not okay.

What? I'm speechless. I hope there's a semi-good reason for this.

Actually Madonna, I'm going to need a GREAT reason.. Thanks.

PS: Thanks Perez! ;)

yikes

This is a fantastic blooper/crash/whatever you want to call it video, and you need to watch it right now. Thanks.

I LOVE these. So great.

My favorites of this one-- The rings [I didn't know that was possible, and it's terrible, but my goodness must he have gotten the shock of a lifetime!] and when the guy ends up on the tree because that is simply amazing.

They're ALL really great, though. Love it.

total disruption

If there is one lesson that a kid in Martin County, Florida learned, it's don't fart in class.

A 13 year old kept cuttin' the cheese during class, which the teacher claimed was "purposely disrupting his classmates."

He also turned off all of their computers, but that's besides the point.

Because of his antics, he was.. ARRESTED. Yea, as in an officer came and took him away until he confessed his behavior. Then he was taken home to Mommy.

Apparently where he lives, it is against the LAW to disrupt anyone during educational functions. It's a misdemeanor!!!

First of all, it's nuts that he can get arrested for farting. Second, it's nuts that an officer would really arrest a 13 year old for something in school. Third, why is this a law!! Craziness, I say!

Someone needs to fix that and pronto. Sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do, ya know?!

new olympic sport

It's time for the guys to get excited for the 2012 Olympics... Maybe.

A group in Utah started a petition that has 300+ worldwide signatures to add a new sport to the line-up... "Pole Fitness."

AKA Pole dancing.

In the news story, one participant says she wears the stripper shoes, if you will, because it makes her calves stronger.

A mormon lady even talks about why she participates in what she thinks should become an official sport.

My main problem: It's being a stripper, without taking your clothes off, and no one will ever be able to look past that. Period.

Other problems:
  • Cheerleading still isn't a sport, and when we're talking about competitive cheerleading, it deserves to be.. At least way before "pole fitness" is.
  • Do you see any type of aerobics in the Olympics? No. So therefore pole fitness should not be at London.
  • If someone does want to learn how to pole fitness, all it takes is a simple video featuring Carmen Electra. So how hard can it really be?!
Nope. Not okay. I'm boycotting the petition. Sorry boys.

PS: I WILL admit that I do think it looks like a lot of fun. :-P And I want to learn some cool tricks!
