askmen's most desirable women of 2011

Every year AskMen.com puts together a list of the top 99 Most Desirable Women of the year.

Now, the list is officially out!

I totally voted this year, but only 3 of my votes ended up in the top 10. Tear.

In order from 10-1, here are the hottest of the hotties.

YAY for Blake Lively! I LOVE her, and they kept hinting [or I thought so anyway] that she was high up on the list, but #1 is awesome!

I assume Mila is #2 because of her lesbian action on Black Swan. Safe assumption? As for #10 Jessica Pare, #7 Scarlett Johansson, or #4 Selita Ebanks, but I guess this is a guy's blog that posts this so I'm not supposed to understand it... Or so they tell me.

What do you think? Did they get it right? By "they," it was actually based on voters around the country, world, whatever, but I blame AskMen for the results.

don't do it

With Valentines Day coming up, you're probably scrambling for a valentine, if you haven't found one already.

While there are many things you probably COULD do to find one, there are also plenty of things you SHOULDN'T do.. Even if you have one already. [Duh, you don't want to lose them!]

For the ladies, don't do these things in public. We all know it happens behind closed doors, but sometimes guys like to pretend they don't...
  • Apply full make-up. Lipgloss touch-ups are fine... But leaving the house without your make-up and doing it on the bus in front of everyone is not appealling. We're "naturally pretty," remember?
  • Pull out your thong from your crack. Slick wedgie picking is necessary and okay, but digging into your buttcrack to pull out the floss is not appealing.. To anyone.
  • Sit cross-legged while wearing a skirt. You're probably showing off more than you think.
  • Show off your midriff. Never is this okay. No matter how old you are. Save the belly button ring's debut for the beach.
  • Talk on the phone in a public bathroom. If you do that on your own time, fine. But not everyone wants other people listening to them release things from their body. [Okay, that sounds awkward.]
  • Tweeze hairs/Pop a pimple. You may think that doing this will take away your imperfections, but it only adds one: Your disgusting-ness.
  • Criticize your boyfriend. No matter what the reason, you're not his mother, and he's a grown man. There's a better time to talk about things he has done that you don't like.
  • Adjust the girls. Again, there's just always a better time, or more private place, to do this.
  • Pee all over the toilet seat. Seriously! This is the worst thing EVER! And as a girl, you should understand and respect others.
And for the guys.. Yes, there are things that will turn us off. So don't do them.
  • Admire yourself in the mirror. Your love affair with yourself isn't attractive... It's creepy.
  • Pick your nose. [This definitely goes for the ladies too!] Even if you're in your car.. Look behind, beside, and in front of you. There's ALWAYS someone watching.
  • Sit cross-legged. Ladies might be drooling over some story you're telling, and your masculine body. Then you cross your legs, and everything is lost.
  • Blow your nose without a tissue. You may think people don't notice what you're doing, but the boogers are flying. Ask for a tissue. It's normal.
  • Play-wrestle with your buddies. This may have been cool in middle and high school, but now it's time to find a gym. People will only find it obnoxious.. Not hott.
  • Puke. No explanation necessary. Ew.
  • Argue with your girlfriend. It's awkward to be around fights, so don't cause one of these moments. Wait 'til you're home. Plus, you'll save you're reputation. [Don't believe me? Use Chris Brown as an example.]
  • Write in cursive/longhand. We have technology now. Just keep it legible and not emo.
  • Pee "conspicuously." Honestly, everyone can see you. Maybe they can't see it, but they can imagine it. And it's not cute.
  • Cry. Sure, there are times you should. But don't cry during a chic-flick.. Or because you're fighting with your girl. Wait until you're home.

So hopefully now, with help from these lists, you're one step closer to finding a date for Saturday, and one step FURTHER from losing that date!

6!

SIX days until Santa comes to town!!!!

And ladies, if you're having a hard time buying your man a present, or my fellas, if you need to send your woman somewhere to get ideas for your presents, I'm here to help ya!! [With the help of my good friends over at AskMen Online Magazine.. ;)]

These, my friends, are the best 10 things you could buy for that special guy in your life. :)

10. Wallet.. This is normally more for the guy you maybe just started dating, or don't want to spend too much money on. It's simple, but useful.

9. Bathrobe.. Maybe you just moved in together and love to just walk around after you get out of the shower.. But it's not quite the time to be walking around butt naked. Get him this.

8. DVD collection.. This goes for anyone. Find out what they like, check their library to make sure they don't have it, and head on over to Wal-Mart or Best Buy.

7. Cologne.. Again, for anyone. Old, young, new or long time relationship.. Family member or significant other. Don't think you're insulting them. Just find something that smells nice and wrap that sucker up.

6. Expresso Machine.. Well, I've never known anyone that would love one of these, I don't think.. But, if he loves to savor his coffee, this would certainly help him out.

5. Blackberry/Organizer phone.. Help someone stay organized, and give them a reason to always answer their phone.. Be careful, though. Maybe they'll be on it too much.

4. Clothes.. Just DON'T get him a tie! You're helping him to look nice.. Not telling him he needs a makeover. As long as it's not too extravagant, he should love it.

3. Stereo.. For anyone who loves music. If it's for his car, it's one more reason for him to love his car and drive more. If it's an indoor stereo, it could be placed in the bedroom for some better easy listening. ;)

2. DVD/Blu-Ray player.. If he has a DVD player, obviously he doesn't need another one.. And it's time to move on up to the Blu-Ray. You might need some movies to go with it, but he'll love it even more. Plus, you guys will get to experience them together, I'm sure.

1. Tickets to a sports event.. Of his favorite team, of course! No matter who the guy is, if he likes sports, this is the ultimate present. If he's your boyfriend, fiance, husband, whatever.. The competitive atmosphere gets him excited, if ya know what I mean. If it's a friend or family member, they'll realize how well you really know them, and greatly appreciate it!

So there ya go! Do you agree? I think I do for the most part.

And I've always said that if you're buying for a significant other, guy or girl, to get 3 presents; One that's meaningful, one that's fun, and one that's useful. It's a good theory/recipe. Try it!

brainwashed

Yet another great, controversial/conversational list from AskMen.

Top 10 Ways Men Brainwashed Women

10. Pole Dancing--> Because men wrote Striptease and Showgirls, which apparently made women feel a sense of empowerment when it came to pole dancing.. Which led to Carmen's demonstration on how to do it, and now people want to make it an official sport.

9. Ditching the van--> Soccer moms tend to drive nice, "spacey" SUV's these days.. Apparently thanks to men convincing them that they're a better route to go than the minivan. Even though they don't have much room, and they're gas guzzlers, we "listen to guys when they tell us it's better."

8. LUGs--> Suddenly it's become a "cool thing" to kiss a girl, and like it.. As Katy Perry has demonstrated. They're saying men have made it another stage in life.. A step into becoming a woman. We are proud to kiss a woman, and they're proud to watch.

7. Daycares at work--> I don't get this one. They say us taking our kids to a daycare at work only gives us more work to worry about... I don't see how. I think it would take away less stress because you can take lots of breaks and just walk down to see your kid. :)

6. Colored KitchenAid appliances--> Again, not sure if they really thought this one through. Yes, we love them.. and yes it's probably a lot more likely that they will be bought if it's a pretty color, but AskMen is claiming it will get used a lot more just because it's colorful. I don't believe it. I buy plenty of things because they're pretty and never use them.

5. Fake boobies--> Yes, very true. Somehow women have this kick that getting bigger boobs will boost their self esteem. Maybe true.. But you want to boost your self esteem because you want to impress the men, correct? Or you base how you feel about your looks on how men react to them.

4. Makeup--> At first thought, I didn't agree. Makeup is definitely a woman's thing, it's fun, it boosts confidence, but it's more than all of that too. Then they said "you do all the work while we reap the benefits." Okay. Yep. True. Touchet.

3. Waxing--> Yeah, the Brazilian wax-- Unnecessary. Yet many women go through all of that pain, and awkwardness, just to make it look "pretty" down there for their man. I can't help but think it's not worth it.. But some have been brainwashed, for sure.

2. The Pill--> I'm not going to be able to explain this one better than them, so I'll let them do it. They convinced me of this one, too. Not that they brainwashed us into taking the pill, but they certainly are getting most of the benefits. "No condom -- sweet. No withdrawal method -- even better. No side effects of nausea and increased chance of heart attacks, stroke and blood clots if you smoke -- great."

1. Supermom--> Oh so true. Though the whole doing everything for your kids thing may be coming from all the traditions back in the day, a lot of moms are really doing anything and everything for their kids as Daddy sits on the couch and turns on some football.

Definitely a good list. I personally would have rearranged some things. LUGs, boobs and pole dancing need to move up.. Way up.

top 10 list of the day 111108

Speaking of the day, Happy 11-11!!! Man, what a lucky day I feel, eh?!

Every day I plan on posting a Top 10 list that I find.. and today:

AskMen's Top 10 Fresh Prince Pick-up Lines

10. Corny: "Yo yo yo Baby! How about some fries to go with that shake!"

9. Classic: "Yo baby, I know your feet must be tired. Cause you been running through my mind all day!"

8. Perseverance: "Maybe you should try talking to me like a human being. OK? Got it?" [Changes his mind about his approach when trying to get her number..] "Actually baby, you got it, but I take donations."

7. Cockiness: "Hurry up and write your number down before I don't want it no more."

6. Flattery: [After she asks if she can be his date for the night..] "Baby, forget tonight, let's block out the next 50 years!"

5. Obvious: "Hey baby, I noticed you noticing me; so, I just want to put you on notice that I noticed you too."

4. Blunt infatuation: "Girl, I got to tell you, that suit looks like a piece of 'Good God' wrapped up in some 'Have Mercy,' with a side of 'Unghm!'"

3. Awkward: "Hey girl, you look so good, I'd marry your brother just to get in your family."

2. Classic/Corny: "Hey baby, you look so good I wish I could plant you and grow a whole field of y'all!"

1. Funny/Infatuation/Classic: "I think I've seen your picture somewhere before. Oh yeah, that's right. It was in the dictionary next to 'KABLAM!'"

Ahh, I love that so many of these really have become classics. As usual, AskMen did a good job.. But I would have put 9 and 10 up a little higher, just because of how they have really stuck in everyone's minds since then.. Even if you weren't a Fresh Prince fan.

Gracias, AskMen!
