Tweet If you didn't know, I have been joining Niblett on his show every Tuesday night on Candy 95. It's been pretty crazy and hilarious, I'm not going to lie. Now we've finally come up with a name for our show:
Get it?! It's like the Break for playtime... OR... The Break foreplay time! teeheehee.
Anyway, we're going to start a Facebook group and podcast channel soon, but in the meantime, you can find the podcasts on my channel.
This week we asked people if they had any calls they needed us to make for them to their girlfriends. Sure enough, plenty of people did. Of course Niblett wanted to take care of the one that he could make my responsibility- Telling a girl she was too fat for her costume.
Some guy wrote in saying his girlfriend's Halloween costume was too small and she needed to know. So..... somehow.... we pulled it off. I called her with a nice anonymous name and let her know the truth. It didn't go as smoothly as planned, but... well... we did it.
So, uh... yeah... I'm going to go ahead and say we can handle anything at this point. If you have any dirty deeds you need us to take care of, I'm up for the challenge. You just let us know!
Tweet I understand that Halloween is 3 days away, and if you don't have a costume idea by now, you're pretty much SOL.
BUT... If you can work some magic, and there's a group of you, and you're creative, here are some really great group costumes that I've never seen [or at least done right until now].
And I may be a little biased, but I think this is the best Snow White and the 7 dwarfs you'll ever see.
The 6-pack of Corona is amazing. It probably got annoying, but it's fun. I also fully enjoy the fingers.
Who's ready for Halloween?!? It kicks off in 6 hours for me! Woo!
Tweet Every video Katy Perry has been involved with lately has had a lot to do with boobs.
Her latest video for "Firework" is definitely no exception. Fireworks come exploding out of her knockers like the most beautiful thing a guy has ever seen. [I'm putting two here in case one gets taken down.]
I'll be honest- I never really listened to the lyrics for meaning. It's a pretty deep song!
And if you can look above the firework boobies, she looks really pretty!
Tweet I'll be honest... It's not often that a YouTube video can keep my undivided attention for more than 2 or 3 minutes.
This one did.
It's a compilation of a bunch of viral videos, but mostly just videos of people doing really incredible and unbelievable things. Seriously.. Wait til you see the handstand off a ladder and into a pool.
The bad thing about these videos is they make me feel pretty freakin' dull and normal... And I don't like that.
I'm a little late tonight, but it's still Tuesday where I am!
Let's hear some music, shall we?!
Black Eyed Peas--> The Time [the dirty bit]
I really don't know how I feel about sampling some of these classic songs. At the same time, it's a pretty good song. And it's the Black Eyed Peas. Plus, we gotta get used to it. Apparently the whole album they're about to drop is all about experimenting with old songs they love.
Nelly ft. T-Pain and Akon--> Move That Body
I feel like I heard Nelly the least out of them all, but maybe just because he's got this new sound. This song is totally fun and if I had parties, it'd definitely be added to the playlist.
Greyson Chance--> Waiting Outside the Lines
There are a lot of high hopes and expectations for Ellen's little prodigy, but I'm afraid she's dropped the ball on this one. His performance on the show wasn't great. He's an awesome kid, an this song isn't bad, but I don't know if he'll be the next Biebs.
Santana ft. Daughtry--> Photograph I love everything Daughtry and I love that Santana is coming out with a new album, even if it's mostly just him on the guitar doing remakes. I don't know if I see this taking over the radiowaves, but that's up to you.
Kenny Chesney--> Somewhere With You It's not your typical Kenny song, I don't think... But it's a beautiful song and I definitely don't mind him trying something new.
Not a whole lot of new stuff this week, I know it! But it's not bad, and I still want to hear from you what you'd like to hear on the radio! Vote for as many as you want!
Also, let me know what happens when you click on those links that don't have the direct audio embed. Some people say it downloads, some people say it does nothing... I'll work on making it the best for everyone.
So I posted this yesterday, but some craziness happened and it somehow got deleted.
Anyway, I'd be lying if I said OMG I LOVE THE JERSEY SHORE I WATCHED EVERY EPISODE. Truth is- Teen Mom captured my heart this season and I don't have time to watch that much TV.
What I did catch of this season- all of the absolutely ridiculous amazing quotes. And with the help of my most reliable website, I shall present to you my top 10 +1, because we all know you never pick just 10.
They actually didn't include T-Shirt Time, which is the best thing to happen to this world since GTL, nor did they include the Obama tanning tax comment, but I guess we can't let Snookie hog all the quotes...
Thank you, people of Jersey Shore... for being so damn smart. Errr... entertaining.
Tweet I loved Rihanna. Then I was iffy. Now that she's got her long red hair and her confidence back, I love her again.
I love her even more on the cover of December's Marie Claire.
She looks SMOKIN' HOTT! Oh my goodness.
The Rihanna I know and love pre-Chris Brown is BACK ladies and gents... Just in time for her new album, LOUD, which is supposed to be released in November and have songs with Drake, Eminem, and Nicki Minaj.
I. Can't. Wait.
Check out more of the pictures from the shoot which will be in the glamour and subscriber editions of the UK magazine:
That red hair is something special. I wish I could pull it off!
Tweet I LOVE this video! LeBron James has been under a lot of Heat [teehee, get it?!] since his decision a couple months ago, and now he's gettin' the chance to fire back at the world with his new Nike ad.
The awesome part: he's totally classy about it.
The not so awesome part: Mikey P totally beat me to the punch and posted it before me, so click here to check it out! You definitely want to.
Tweet Y'all ready for some serious talk from EB?! Okay, let's not kid ourselves. Getting 100% serious is nearly impossible here.
But there's something I'm getting involved in and I think you should too! Jose, aka @imJmi, has started this campaign that we're all jumping on board with. It's #IdRatherVote, and you guessed it!
We're tweeting all the things we'd rather not have happen because we didn't vote. Just because we're not trying to get the first black president into the White House doesn't mean it's not important to make your voice heard.
So for the next week, let's all come together and convince those who still may be unsure that voting is absolutely worth your time. Even if you're thousands of miles away from the place you're registered to vote [like me]. They have snail mail for us. We've also been given voices for a reason.
Tweet and complete the sentence- #IdRatherVote..
I've always said I live by the quotes that say don't ever regret anything because that's something that will weigh heavy on you forever. The LAST thing I want to regret is not being able to do something I want to do or seeing my friends get their rights denied because some dbag thinks it's against the Bible or disgusting.
Speak out. No matter who you're voting for, just vote, and tell us why for the next week! We can't wait to see your tweets!
Tweet Tonight has been the biggest, most ultimate fail ever. Two files I needed to put up some blogs I've been planning and both happened to disappear. Fannntastic.
One of those files was a list of people I know who look like celebs. It's gone. So today's update that is [hopefully] going to bring back the repeating column [if you will] are two people off the top of my head.
If you or someone you know looks like a celeb, let me know! Send me some pictures or links! Don't bother on getting their permission first... That's a waste of time.
Up first: My friend MaryJoanna. I never saw this until she posted a picture of Lea Michele on her profile, and now I totally see it. What's even crazier is that she's an amazing singer.
And my latest revelation is Clyde, who I think looks nearly identical to Kyle, Maci's boyfriend on Teen Mom.
Do you agree with me? Do you see it too?!
For any suggestions, email me, tweet me, leave it on Facebook... whatever you gotta do! Hopefully this can become a weekly thing again if I find enough.
Tweet I'm all about the creative Halloween costumes, and I'm 110% in favor of doing something outrageous to make people talk about your costume forever... And as much as I support these costumes, they come with a price: Someone [or someones], somewhere, probably wanting you dead.
They're truly offensive costumes that will have people with a sense of humor laughing.
I'd say the worst part about this is that it's a kid. If you're a grown adult, I say WHY NOT?!
The thing about 9/11 is that we'll never get over the "it's too soon" thing.
This is just disturbing.
A Catholic priest with kid down low included?! You win.
A child suicide bomber?! Oy.
I'm not sure how to make this work, but if you do, you are hilarious.
If you have any other hilariously offensive ideas, feel free to leave em below! It's crunch time for a lot of people in making a costume work. It's 6 days away!
Tweet As I was traveling the world [/just the East Coast] this weekend, and using the super packed bathroom, I realized the evil eye I was receiving as I walked out of the bathroom without washing my hands.
My flight was about to take off, I wasn't going to be eating anytime soon, and I didn't pee on my hands nor touch anything wet, so I meandered out and didn't think twice.
I don't wash my hands every time I go to the bathroom at home, so why would I do it in public? Peer pressure?
I asked the BCS today if they were like me, when they washed their hands, and what the difference is.
Do you agree?! I CAN'T be alone on this. I know I'm not. Don't lie. We're all dirty sometimes.
Tweet OMG. I have the BEST readers/fans/listeners/whatever EVER.
I've been asking for a Sugar Daddy for the longest, and it feels like I've scored a SECRET Sugar Daddy! It's like half secret admirer, half Sugar Daddy.
EB- I read on your blog that you wanted an Antoine Dodson shirt, and while I don't have $20 + shipping to blow either, what I do have is the ability to make decals. So, here you go!
Inside the envelope were 8 decals of what the shirts I wanted had on them.
I seriously have NO idea who sent these! All I know is that they're from DC and have neat handwriting, and were smart and amazing enough to look up the address to the station and send them. It could be a girl, so I should probably refer to them as my Secret Sugar Maddy from now on. [Mama plus Daddy, duh.] I wish I could thank them personally [and see if we can work something out to get love, EB ones made since I've been looking at pricing for that anyway], but hopefully they'll just see this.
Anyway, onto the giveaway thing-
I'm obviously going to keep two of them for myself, but it's time I start giving back to you guys! If you love the Antoine Dodson stuff as much as I do, all you've gotta do this week is send out a tweet with the link to this page and @luvelizabethany so I can see it. By the end of the week, I'll pick all of the people who will get one of these awesome decals! [They're the kind that stick right onto your window or anything and don't have to have that annoying clear sticker edge around it! SO cool!]
I'll write down all of the tweets' usernames I receive and have my coworkers pick so that it's fair.
If you're in the BCS/Texas area, I'll even throw in some RenFest tickets for ya!
Again- Thanks to the person who made these! If you want to come forward, please do! If not, you shall forever be my Secret Sugar Maddy.
Hopefully you got some time this weekend to try out the Lava Lamp! If you did- did you love it?!
Also: An update on 90s Madness!
The black line represents the middle that I took out so it's easier to read when small! Can you believe TMNT beat out TGIF?! And 90210 over Legends of the Hidden Temple! CRAZY TALK!
Tweet This is pretty freakin' incredible, and I'm surprised my dad never tried to do this.
A dad and son figured out a way to attach an iPhone and HD camera to a weather balloon, send it into space, and then retrieve it after it comes back to Earth so that they have the video.
I'm no space geek, but this is awesome.
So maybe I do need to get a smart phone if I want to be able to do cool things, huh?!
It may not be anything more than what we normally do to get pictures from space sometimes, but it was homemade and totally clever. It felt like I was the one going into space with it! [If I had built the thing, anyway..]
Tweet Lookin' like lots of music this week! Let's get to it!
Rihanna ft. Drake--> What's My Name?
It was only a matter of time until they collabo'd. As much as I'm not a fan of Drake, I really like this song. Something about it reminds me of old Rihanna and that makes me smile.
Eminem ft. Lil Wayne--> No Love
I know there's a thing called magic and all, but isn't Lil Wayne in jail right now?! But making music videos?! Anyway, this song is a little late in getting on here, but if you haven't heard it, it's about time you do.
Ke$ha--> We R Who We R
I'm a fan of Ke$ha, that's nothing new. I totally dig this song. It's a dance song and something you can listen to when you're alone.
30 Seconds to Mars--> Closer to the Edge
It's not my typical choice of music, but I wouldn't mind hearing it more or playing it. It's your call on this one.
Atomic Tom--> Take Me Out
Meh. Maybe this is something that will grow on me, but it's missing something. Nothing is making me like OMG LOVE IT.
Audio Push--> Up N Down
This is a background song. Probably nothing you're going to be dying to hear, but won't mind hearing it.
iSquare--> Hey Sexy Lady
I don't know that the name "iSquare" is going to help him/them/whatever with anything, but it's not a bad beat. It's just like all the other songs that you hear all day long.
Little Big Town--> Kiss Goodbye This isn't my favorite song from Little Big Town, but I do like the lyrics. It's definitely worth a listen.
Now is when you tell me what you want to hear more of! Check as many as you want and by next week we'll be looking at the results and adding some to the station! It's all up to YOU! [Even if you're not a Candy 95 listener, your help is appreciated!]
Tweet Holy RAUNCHY! The Glee cast is stepping out of their "good kid" looks and onto the cover of GQ, looking more sexy and scandalous than ever!
I mean, DANG! They weren't afraid of changing their reputation at all, were they? [Not that their real life reputation has to match their character's..] Check out some more of the entire gallery, and try not to show through your pants:
There's something about Lea Michele that is not pretty to me at all. Her body is totally gorgeous, but her face is gross and I want to cut it out. Maybe it's because she tries to hard, or maybe it's because I want her off of Cory Monteith. Either way, I'd rather her face be left out.
I could talk about the article, but let's be honest... The pictures are all that matter here [just like the songs in the show].
