watch: three grannies watch kim kardashian's sex tape

I know I normally steer clear of all things Kardashian, but this is too damn good NOT to watch.

Whether or not it's real/not scripted at all, I really doubt it... but that's not the point. When these three grandmas watch Kim K's sex tape with Ray J and make these hilarious comments, I can't stop laughing.

She's using two hands! It's purple at the top! JUST LOOK AT IT!!!!

"That's greek. That's what the Greeks do."

Oh my goodness. So freaking good.

I've been wanting to get my granddad on my show for years now to get him to talk about "in" things, and thought about bringing up the story I found about a grandparent's sex tips, but I don't think I'm ready for all that yet. As funny as he is, that's still weird...

...but ya never know.

watch: first legit video of real world: st thomas, as they can't figure out the confessional cam

Welp, I guess MTV gave up on keeping the Real World casts a complete secret until it's time for the show. They've already posted a video of the St Thomas cast trying to figure out how to work the confessional camera!

I'll be honest, I feel like they looked better in pictures than they do here, but it's just a quick confessional video, so maybe they were getting ready to go out, or something.

What are your thoughts?

PS: Thanks to @JanelMcG on twitter for pointing this out to me with the quickness!

this ellen show workout makes working out at home worth it

I promised myself I'd get my ass back in the gym this week... and then I didn't feel like driving the 25 minutes to get there. Instead, I decided to catch up on some Ellen while working out in my living room.

Normally I feel like it's pointless to do this because I never get a GOOD workout in my house... but now that belief has changed.

In order to challenge myself, I decided to make a workout that goes along with the show. Each segment I do something different, and I'm not allowed to stop until that segment is done. It's nice because I get to watch the show, and I don't have to worry about focusing on counting [or the burn I'm feeling].

I did the workout on Monday and Tuesday, and hott damn I am a sore girl today. Walking down the stairs is certainly a challenge and probably looks like I have something shoved up my hole.

So... it totally works, and if you're an Ellen watcher like me, here's the workout you should do every day when you watch:

Of course, you can switch up the actual exercises.. I normally do. The ones I put in the graphic are just a basic guide for people who need some ideas.

Also, I did the workout while watching the shows on DVR, so it was more of a constant workout. If you're watching it live, use the commercial times wisely by stretching or doing something like calf raises.

And don't you worry about looking silly while dancing when you need a breather. Ellen frowns upon you worrying about such things.

Have fun!

watch: sam tsui does a britney spears medley

As if I didn't think Sam Tsui was the greatest thing already, he had to go ahead and do THIS.

This mix is amazing even if it was a DJ doing it, and for him to sing and play it all- INCREDIBLE. I like it best when he breaks it down and sings, but that's cuz I'm obsessed with his voice.

"I'm addicted to you, could you hit me baby one more time?!"

Why yes. I will waste spend 5 more minutes of my life listening to it... again, and again.

forever 21 has welcomed the 90s back

We did it!! We have officially brought the 90s back! [And yes, I'm giving credit to us because as of 3 years ago, I don't know ANYONE who really wanted to bring the 90s back as much as me.]

I knew Forever 21 had been filling their racks with a lot 90s-esque clothing, but I wasn't sure they were aware. That was until I saw they had a 90s Lookbook on their website with tons of clothes to fit the bill!

While I will admit that some of the 90s fashions should not be coming back in full swing, I am about to get my butt to the mall so I can look superfab at my 90s-themed club night on Thursday night. Here are some of the goodies:

Obvi the 90's child, floral shirt with cut offs is great, but let's take a look at that neon Mickey Mouse shirt! Remember when Mickey was the freakin' coolest character to have on your clothes?! Also- The leopard tank with high cut-offs- SO Kelly Kapowski [in college maybe], right?

I'm a little wary about bringing back flannel and overalls, but these girls really do make it look good. Throw on a belly shirt or bikini top, and you got yourself a slutty but conservative look, right? Jean jackets have been around a little bit for a couple of years, but pairing it with the super girly, floral dresses: So 90s.

Accessories: Obviously platform shoes are a must, some studs help bring the "beauty" of the grunge/rock 90s fashion, and how great were floral sunglasses?! I remember mine vividly, although they had a sweet visor attached as well-->
If you take a looksy at their 90s clothes, let me know which one you're loving! [Seriously! I like hearing back about these things, duh!] And no, Forever 21 did not pay me to do this post, even though I SO wish they did. Hmph.

Also, if you're in the Hampton Roads area, come play like it's 1999 with music, fashion, games, prizes, etc on Thursday night at Fahrenheit on Granby Street in Norfolk!

etv: investigating the real world auditions in norfolk, virginia

As you now, the Real World is casting for its 28th season right now! They're all over the country, and in multiple cities at once, so click here if you wanna try and catch them before it's too late!

They came to Norfolk last week, so just like old times, I went down to see the crazies that were trying to be on the show. I also snatched Sam, who was helping judge everyone, for a quick chat.

Yeah, so, not a whole lot of crazies came through at all. A few people made it back for a second call back, but who knows if any of them made it beyond that. I'm totally rooting for the red-haired girl, but hopefully she didn't try too hard.

As for Sam, she's hilarious as always and how awesome is that mohawk?! In case anyone was wondering, she's still as humble and "normal" as I've ever seen her. She's even still delivering sandwiches for Jimmy John's.

photo diary: scavenger hunt with the company

Last week, my boss declared a "mandatory fun day" in the office. EVERYONE, from sales people, to on-air personalities from every station, to managers, was not allowed to work for the entire day. [Unless, of course, you're lucky enough to have the morning or night shift, which is beyond working hours....]

We met up at a restaurant on the beach for lunch, then he let us know we were being split up into teams and going on a day-long scavenger hunt. We had 4.5 hours to complete a long number of challenges by racing around the 757 and taking pictures with an iPad. Each one was worth a certain number of points, and whoever had the most at the end of the day won a pile of prizes. Second place got nothing.

[First thoughts: I was going to have to look like these fools taking pictures with iPads all day: ]

I had used the app in College Station before, so I took over the iPad and let my teammates figure out the best ways to zip around the cities. Here are some of the completed challenges:

Those are just a FEW of the challenges. We also got into a bank vault [but that's illegal for me to post], had to make strangers do different things with us, and SHOT A FREAKING GUN.

Yeah, I shot my first gun, and I got the target right on the throat. The sales manager who was in charge of that challenge said I had one of the top 3 shots of the day! It's kinda like I'm meant to do it or something. [Woah, CHILLLL, EB.]

It was a BLAST and I LOVED the team I had. Luckily, I knew everyone pretty well going into it, so I think it helped to all work together. Unfortunately, we got second place.

The team that got first place ended up executing the exact plan we had from the beginning, before our ADD got the best of us and we got off track. Slightly heartbreaking to realize that, but it's our own fault. The team that won even found a way to sneak on to the infield of the local baseball park.

Oh, we also made a sweet music video, with strangers, at one of the challenges. Here's the montage of all the teams:

Days like this one make me so thankful for the company I work for. Radio is a scary business, and I've been lucky enough to work for two amazing teams.

photo diary: my trip to chilifest and college station!

Wow, it has been a CRAZY week, to say the least. I went back to College Station last week and came back to a mandatory "fun day" with the company. Needless to say, it's been hard to get back into work-mode whether I want to or not.

BUT... now it's time to show you the crazy!

Chilifest really has nothing to do with chili. It's all about the booze and some country music, if you actually make it to the stage. We get there on Friday afternoon and don't leave until Saturday night. I slept on the ground with no pillow [which may have been one of the worst things ever, #firstworldproblems], and woke up at 8am to go for round 2.

The Scene:

There were over 100 of us in a small area, all given "Jose" hats, which are party sombreros. We were surrounded by other "teams," but obvi I chose the coolest one, Team Murtaugh.
We had a huge bucket of beer constantly filled with cases, and as you can see, people loved giving beer showers. Why not? There's unlimited beer! That beer trashed our place, but luckily we didn't have to be the cleaner-uppers. My friend's dad made us delicious food all weekend, and some random dude passed out, naked, in front of the porta potties.

The Drinking

There was a LOT of Thunderstruck- the game. I probably never want to hear that song again. Well, not til next year anyway. There was also pouring of the beer [cuz why NOT get sloppy?!], slap the bag [you hit a bag of wine and start chugging... conveniently in a backpack], and packing many beers at once so you can walk around.

The Fun

Go figure- half of my friends don't want their pictures on my blog... but damn, they are some of the funniest pictures I've taken. We did have some karaoke set up which was pretty awesome, we also did some dancing, which led to my falling over [okay, maybe it was more humping than dancing at that point]. And, by the end of the weekend, my feet were pitch black and extra tasty.

The Friends

A lot of people asked me why I would go all the way back to Texas for Chilifest. First of all- don't the pictures show why?! Second- it's probably the easiest weekend for me to see everyone I know in the state. It was SO good to see everyone and kill our livers together.
PS: How awesome is my "Amurrica" shirt?! I got it at Forever21, FYI.

The Aftershow

I rushed back after Chilifest for a shower before heading out to see Tim Halperin perform in town! I was SO lucky that he happened to be there! It was the first time I saw him perform with a full band, smoke, lights... the whole get-up! He was great as ever, and I wonder why HE was opening for Jason Castro and not the other way around, but I guess I'm not important enough to decide anymore. After the show we rallied and headed out for way too many shots.

It was really so good to be back and see everyone. I miss Texas a lot, maybe more than I ever thought I could. It's crazy to think I've been gone for almost 8 months, but it really felt like no time had passed, and that was neat. When I went in to the office, people would say hi, then come running back minutes later finally realizing I wasn't supposed to be there.

Now, I'm still struggling to get back to working reality, but it'll happen soon. For you. I promise!

real world st thomas: meet latoya and trey

Two more cast members revealed, two more to go!

First off, meet LaToya Jackson [Really].
  • 22
  • From Petersburg, VA
  • Graduated from Virginia State U as a mass communication/radio major
  • People apparently say she's guarded, but this is how she describes herself:
"My name is LaToya Jackson..alter ego Toi Tabloid. I consider myself to be a small town girl..with big time dreams. I aspire to one day become a world renown televison broadcaster for a major televison network."

Minus the whole being guarded thing, she sounds like my kinda girl! I mean, we have SO much in common! [Okay, maybe just a few things, but still!] It'll be interesting to see how guarded she really is, especially if she really plans on making it in the TV/radio world. [You can't really be guarded in radio, that's for damn sure.]

And now meet Trey Weatherholtz.

  • 23
  • From Dundalk, MD
  • Former wide receiver at Frostburg, graduated in 2010.
  • Says he's super blunt and honest and:
"I battled circumstances of growing up without a father, accepting my mother's new husband, financial difficulties, school/work/sports problems, as well as relationship issues – all on my way to trying to create the brightest possible future for myself."

He also said that homosexuals confuse him, which has me very hesitant. He also went on a self proclaimed racist rant on Twitter. The man is a beautiful creature to stare at, but I hope they didn't really put another Zack in the house.

Here's to hoping for the best, eh?!

watch: trailer for hey arnold! the thriller movie

Remember the trailer for the real life Doug movie? It was incredible. The same people now did a trailer for a thriller version of Hey Arnold!

Unfortunately this one isn't nearly as good.

How are you going to have Arnold without the football head?! And how dare they make him fall for Helga. That's just wrong.

At least she got rid of her unibrow. Sorta. And there were some funny-ish parts, I guess... Maybe.

What are your thoughts?

nifty: iphone case is also a condom case

Looky here, fellas! No more excuses for not having a condom, no more awkwardly getting caught with them, no more having to keep them in the forbidden place that is your wallet... You can store them right in your phone!

Your phone is with you everywhere, so it only makes sense, right?! That's what this playa-playa thought, too. [He refers to himself as a playa. Hence the name of the case. Watch out for the "don't hate the playa hate the game" line.]

Now he's gettin laid every day! Well hott damn, boy!

I guess everyone needs one of these now. [Or, as soon as they become available.] They're $30 and come in three colors! Even pink for the ladies! Holla!

Play safe, everyone.

real world st. thomas: robb and marie revealed as cast members!

Tada! Molds13 over at Vevmo hit the jackpot today and let me know that they found info on two of the roommates filming Real World 27 in St. Thomas right now!

First of all, meet Robb Schreiber, not to be confused with Rob Schneider [or so I hope].
  • 21
  • from Bensalem, PA
  • Went to Kutztown University until 2011 and majored in electronic media
  • Played basketball
  • Described himself as this: "I'm me, originally one of a kind; I love life and always maintain a smile on my face and a positive attitude. Essentially I'm the ****.. up in this *****. Get to know meeeeeeeee."
  • And yes, he is in fact a ginger.

A lot of people hating on him based on facts [being from PA, gingerness], but I mostly think he seems normal so far. We shall see if more pics are found. [We did find a couple of him before, remember? He's the Dustin lookalike.]

Anddd meet the hott wild child, Marie Roda.

She posted that tweet when she left, obviously, and judging by what I can see, she looks like my kinda girl! [And every guy's kinda girl..] I'm excited to see if she's the fun wild or the reckless one.

That's all the news for now! I've been RT'ing things that people tweet from the island, so look out for those if you wanna know what's up!

watch: if facebook was invented in the 90s

Stop everything you're doing, sit back, and laugh your ass off at this video imagining what it would be like if The Facebook was debuted in the 90s. The graphics are unreal.

Netscape Navigator, a geocities link on Al's profile, the yearbook-signature-style wall post, taking a month to get the company to scan in your picture, changing to Timeline... IT'S ALL SO GOOD!

I have no more words. Besides thank you Dan Chiz for pointing this out to me.

watch: surprise backflips in public

Here's another WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT?! moment.

This kid had the bright idea of doing random backtucks in front of strangers at school, in the mall, and I think I even spot a library in there.

It's pretty hard to be smooth when walking and wanting to do a backtuck, but that was fantastic. I think my favorite one was getting out of his sweet minivan at the very end then driving away.

And seriously.. NO ONE IS PAYING ATTENTION TO HIM! Sure, people don't like to stare at strangers, but he's doing backflips. Say SOMETHING.

Here are some bloopers/extras, cuz you know he had to fall on his face at least a few times. He also took it to the drive-thru, which is pretty funny.

You da man, dude.

watch: 86 year old gymnast competes on floor and p-bars

I'll never forget doing a handstand/headstand contest with my great-grandfather when he was in his 80s and I was in my gymnastics-prime, and he beat me! Some people grow old with numbers, but they stay strong!

This 86 year old German gymnast is the same way. She's been doing gymnastics for over 60 years. [SIXTY!!!] She stepped out onto the floor and on the p-bars [which is not a female event these days..] and killed it! Cartwheels, planches.. I'm impressed!

She's amazing! Her name is Johanna Quass and she's officially one of my heroes. I always had the goal of being 50 or 60 and doing cartwheels and handstands with my best friend, but now that has been upped. I better be doing them until the day I die.

nifty place: this coffee shop puts amazing designs in their lattes!

One of my Facebook friends, Chris, put up a picture of his coffee yesterday morning, and it had a monkey face in it! Turns out- it was supposed to be there!

1541 pastries and coffee is a place in College Station that has clearly mastered the skill of latte-art, and it's freakin' neat. The owner Sam apparently makes most of the designs, but he's been trying to teach his wife and other employees how to do it, too. Here are some of their creations:

It's all made out of chocolate syrup and he says the frothing of the milk has to be done perfectly. But pause. DO YOU SEE THAT DRAGON?! Freakin' insane. And that cake is pretty sweet, too. Looks like they get some inspiration from Cake Boss.

I'm going back to BCS next week, and will absolutely be checking this place out. And no, they didn't pay me to do this.
