Real World DC is over and done, we're 2 episodes into the Challenge, which means we're 2 weeks closer to The Real World: Back to New Orleans.
In order to show those of you who weren't here from the beginning why this was all such a big deal to me, and to help those of you who did watch from the beginning reminisce and laugh, I've created "The Best of eTV's Finding the Real World DC Cast."
Obviously I couldn't even fit everything I wanted to into a 10 minute video, but I tried my damnedest.
Of course those were the best in my opinion. If you have a moment you remember that was your favorite, made you keep watching, or even made you angry, help me remember the times and tell me!
Emotional EB is present. What shall I do with my life now?! Oh yeah.... Apply to "real jobs." Sigh.
Seriously.. Thank you. Stick around. More videos of great things coming soon- Next week.
Holy moly, the day has come and gone... Can you believe it?! Not I, that's for sure.
In case you've been hiding in a cave or boycotting me for the past couple months, the day was December 30th- The premiere of MTV's The Real World: DC. [Again, if you've just come back to life, you should catch up. Pronto.]
My friend and fellow RWDC guru Chris and I organized and co-hosted THE premiere event along with Metromix DC. [I guess it's technically not "official" since MTV didn't sponsor it... But it was certainly the one to be at!]
Before we move on and talk details, it may be easier to see it via video. I think this calls for the finale of eTV's Finding the Real World DC Cast. [You didn't really think I'd end with a failure, did you?!] It's in two parts because there was just so much goodness, so make sure to watch them both! You'll see just how it all went down!
Honestly, I keep wanting to just say the night was absolutely unreal, but I guess that wouldn't be correct. It was very "Real." It was also amazing, incredible, fun... The list goes on.
Watching the first episode with the cast was great. It was exciting to see their faces and reactions [even though they've seen it before], and even ask on the spot questions about it all. [For example, "Emily, did you really believe everything Andrew was saying?!" The answer: Yes. Why wouldn't I?!]
I also loved watching it with so many DC fans. That may have been one of my favorite parts, actually. Hearing y'all scream with excitement, laugh, yell at Ty for the religion fight... It was refreshing to see [for both myself and the cast, I think] that DC did appreciate them being here, and will absolutely make this a top rated show. YAY!
I think the eTV finale really shows all that needs to be shown when it comes to the events. Now I just want to take the time to say thank you, SO much, to everyone who came out. Chris and I knew this could be an incredible event for everyone to remember, but just like any party, you can't ever predict the outcome. We appreciate each and every one of you for following us through this journey and being there for the end of one chapter, and the beginning of another when it comes to RWDC.
Also, of course, I need to thank Ashley, Callie, Emily, Mike and Ty. Having you guys there made the night and I can't thank you enough for coming out! It was great to finally hang out, sans cameras, and get to know each other! Every one of you is great, hilarious, crazy, and interesting... And incredibly patient for dealing with my annoying ass all summer. So again, thank you for everything, friends! ;)
One final thank you: To all the media/news/photography people who came out! You obviously had a huge part in the success as well! [And though I'm a little upset Patrick from Metblogs was in my seat during the tequila shot, I'm glad he came!]
Now, if you'd like to see even more, here are some pictures that I took throughout the night:
And these fantabulous pictures are thanks to Metromix and Alfredo Flores:
Like I've said before, this isn't the end the elizabethany-RWDC connection. I will be posting podcasts once a week called "The Real World DC, As We Saw It" right here on love, elizabethany. We'll [myself along with Chris and other various people involved, including the roommates] be taking a look at the episodes and talking more about what really happened here in DC.
Again, thanks to everyone involved with the premiere! It was a major SUCCESS! *HIGH FIVE, CHRIS!*
love, elizabethany
PS: If you want to watch the entire first episode, you're welcome. [Thanks MTV ;)]
It's time for the final installment of elizabethanyTV's Finding the Real World DC Cast! It's The Ish She Shoulda Shown, part 3.
I went with Chris Wiggins, AKA @RealWorldDCNewz, to the art benefit where the roommates' work was put on show for the public. Then... The crew intercepted.
I'm tellin' ya... You want to stay tuned! I'll have more details for you within the next two weeks, but the fun doesn't stop here!
The Real Worlders are long gone at this point, but I still have videos that I haven't posted! It's all being called "The Ish She Shoulda Shown," and this is the second installment!
Really... These videos are coming from the last week the roommates were in the city. It was a little harder than usual to get videos because A) We were just trying to enjoy our time with them before they left and B) production didn't exactly want us being around to "spoil" their moments.
This episode is from the Wednesday night before they left, when Ty and Josh went to Tattoo for an 80's party being hosted by Kelly Ann Collins. Lance and I ventured up there for the first time and helped celebrate the summer by buying lots of shots. [Lance did, anyway.]
If you're wondering about the note-- I couldn't email them or get in contact at all. I really wanted to hang with some of them away from cameras if at all possible, so that's what I was trying to do. Then I realized there was no way Ty would remember that note the next day.
Thanks for watching, following, retweeting, etc! You da bomb!
Leave any comments, questions, haterade, love, whatever below!
As I said in my last episode, I am doing more episodes of elizabethanyTV's Finding the Real World DC Cast. The catch: It's footage I filmed during the adventure that is worth sharing, but would have been silly to share before for whatever reason.
This first part is from the last week the roommates were here. I took out two of my coworkers and had a hilarious night on the town and in front of the house. If you look closely, you can totally count some of it as footage.
I love my hilarious friends.
Stay tuned for more! And like I said, love, hate, watch, retweet... And leave your comments below.
The end of an era, my friends. The final normal episode of elizabethanyTV's Finding the Real World DC Cast is here!! [I say normal because I still have more installments of different sorts to be posted!]
It's time for another episode of elizabethanyTV's Finding the Real World DC Cast!!!
We're up to 13 episodes!! Woah.
This time Big Black was at McFadden's and Josh's band performed at Rock N Roll Hotel!! The amount of footage is incredible, so make sure you check this one out!
It's that time again, folks! Time to watch another adventure in DC finding the Real World DC cast!
It was just me and my official partner in crime. A hilarious adventure, and definitely the best night out thus far.
Love, hate, watch, retweet and comment.
As always, sound off below. If you're looking for the link to my Metromix blog for more, click here!
Thanks for watching!
love, elizabethany
PS! If you want to be one of the first to see my episodes, subscribe to me on YouTube! TONS of subscribers got to see the video before anyone else last night! Thanks!
WOOHOO! It's FINALLY time for another episode of elizabethanyTV's Finding the Real World DC Cast!!
I know, I know... It took forever to get another episode out. I'm SORRY!!! I've been uber busy, as you may have been able to tell, and haven't gotten the chance to sit down for a long period of time to do it! BUT! Here it is my friends!
This time we ran into a little bit of trouble with the production crew again. They really don't like us.
Episode 12 HAS been filmed, so it should be up within the next 5 days! Stay tuned, loves!
As usual... Feel free to sound off below! How does it rate amongst the others? Love, hate, don't care?
I do apologize that you've had to wait almost 2 weeks for this new episode, but as I'm sure you've already noticed, things have been pretty busy.
For this episode we went down to Rhino Bar again to see Josh and whatever else was going on for what we thought was just another Thursday night. Turns out, it was a big RWDC eventful night.
I'll admit... I need a new camera. An HD Flip would be perfect, but a girl without a "real job" can only dream at this point... And keep her fingers crossed!
I just can't hold my excitement in! Also, this article is AMAZING and should definitely be put on blast for everyone to see!
During the filming of Episode 9 I had a special guest along for the ride: Dan Zak of the Washington Post. He was following along with us while we found the cast and documenting everything for his story on the [over]reaction of Real World being in DC.
The story has been done by many people at this point, and there have actually been quite a few angles. The best part about this story [besides the fact that it was in the SUNDAY edition of the Washington Post AND I was on the front page of the Style & Arts section] is that it covers all of the bases.
He didn't just talk to me or Martin. He talked to my companions. He talked to Chris Wiggins of RealWorldDCNewz. He talked to random passersby. He talked to Anti-Real World DC. He talked to everyone.
For that, I commend him, and definitely thank him! And now I think you should read the article!
I think this one is raising the bar back up again! I know the episodes have been lacking a little here and there, but this one came back STRONG!
We went to Nellie's and Rhino Bar to find the Real World DC cast... What happened?!
While talking to Josh, we realized he wasn't too worried about us. [They shouldn't be! I'm not doing anything to harm them or the show!] The rest of the cast also came up to the bar for a little while and Ashley told me about how she loved the sign I held up in front of their house for the Washingtonian! Leave it to Erika to make her and everyone leave because bloggers were there. Ugh.
Josh talked to Tonya for a little bit longer and said 5 bloggers were there who wrote about him, but she said not to worry because all we were doing was talking. He also explained how he had to leave because he was on "some show." Uh... Earth to Josh... DUH! ;)
It was a good night, for sure. For even more info- Make sure to check out my blog on Metromix!
love, elizabethany
PS: As always, feel free to sound off below! Haters: Welcome.
I've met an incredibly awesome variety of people so far through this whole Real World DC thing going on right now. A lot of bloggers, some readers, etc.
One person I met was Patrick from DC Metblogs. Apparently he found something about me interesting and decided to do a story on me, and you should probably check it out!
He also put together this little video from when we were outside of the house after our interview.
The time has come!! Episode 7 is shot, edited, and ready to be viewed!
It was Halo's 5th Anniversary and JD from Real World: Brooklyn was going to be there... It only made sense that we go and scope out the scene for the DC roommates, right?!
What. A. Night. Ahhh :)
Thanks for watching!
love, elizabethany
PS: I have decided to make some sort of Companion Application, so be on the lookout for that in the next week or so! :)
The cast had been in DC for exactly a week, and that calls for a celebration! So what did I do? Round up the troops and head on down to Cobalt to celebrate with the cast of The Real World: Washington, DC.
As always, feel free to leave comments, subscribe, favorite, share, whatever you wish!
Episode 5 of elizabethanyTV's "Finding the Real World DC Cast" was filmed this past weekend and will be posted sometime this week.
Just to keep your imaginations going and excitement running high, here are just a few pictures to give you a quick glance at what you can expect to see in the episode.
No explanations, just pictures. Take what you want from them.
IT'S FINALLY TIME!!!! Episode 4 of elizabethanyTV's Finding the Real World DC Cast is finally available for your pleasurable viewing. [Hmmm.. Does that sound bad? It's late...]
It was move-in day at 2000 S. Street! [For real this time!] What happened? You'll have to find out by watching!
[PS: I know it's long! But it's totally worth it! Tons of facts, video footage, stories, and funny moments!]
Did you like it? You can always sound off below!
Also, here are some of the pictures I took that night:
Josh helping Erika move her bags up the stairs.
Josh Colon: Straight outta jail??
Erika, Emily and Callie probably saying "Wow I didn't know we were going to have a bunch of stalkers."
Ty waiting to go to the liquor store.
About to leave the house... Camera crew is always right next to them, of course.
Very planned/set-up conversation/smoke break between Josh and Emily.
On their way to get the goodies!
Taking a break with Episode 4's official companion, Jenn, at Johnny Rockets! My first time eating there!
Either Josh thought he was Michael Jackson, or he was doing some sort of tribute to the King of Pop.
RWDC followers UNITE!! At Buca after the cast left with Martin, James, and Jenn.
The house was absolutely beautiful, and night was even prettier. So gorgeous.
Also... If you're interested, there are a couple clips, podcasts, whatever you want to call them of recent interaction with HOT 99.5 and KISS XM 21 and the topic of stalking/following the Real World DC when you click here for my imeem account. Most are from before move-in day, but one is from the middle of that day before I knew much about everything.
