my favorite moments of 2012

Normally I do a whole write-up of my top 10 moments, but I couldn't do that this year. Instead, I put together a collage from [most] of my favorite moments and happenings.

• All of the bar crawls- Lepre'Con, Mexi'Con, Santacon
• Sharing Bieber's video with Cady's school at her prom
• The trip to New Orleans for Mardi Gras
• My brother turned 21, my mom went to a drag show with me, and my dad danced like a fool at a wedding
• My 25th birthday, maybe the best ever
• Floatopia
• East Coast Surfing Championships
• Four weddings, four beautiful couples, lots of friends
• My first trip out of the country- Cancun!
• Visiting Texas for Chilifest
• Introducing my friends to Morgantown

I'm not going to lie, 2012 was a very trying year for me. I didn't express most of it publicly [minus the whole surviving my first mugging, getting way too many things stolen, etc], but that's because it helps me get through it all when I can continue on pretending like some things never happen.

Plus, I obviously had a lot of really great times, as shown above! It was a really fun year, that's for sure. Thanks to everyone who was a part of it, even if just for a second, day, or tweet!

Now... it's time to make big things happen in 2013. ;)

watch: dj earworm's united state of pop 2012- shine brighter

Okay, I lied. There's one other year-end wrap up we all care about, and that's DJ Earworm's United State of Pop video!

People have been sharing the wrong video all week, but this is finally the right one! As always, it's fantastic [but could use less/zero Taylor Swift]...


Tons of people have been jackin' his style and doing this video mash-ups, but they don't even come close to comparing! The coolest part about Earworm's videos is that the lyrics mash-up to make a song that actually makes some sense. Everyone else just matches beats.

Also, the best part about his this year: It's not all OPPA GANGNAM STYLE, like every other mix you've heard in the past couple months.

Thank you, DJ Earworm, for proving you're the best again. TEAM EARWORM!

watch: the only 2012 year-in-review you need to see

I've always been so pumped to read the "best of the year" lists, but for some reason, I'm slightly over them this year.

That was until I saw this video. "What Brought Us All Together." In the beginning it's a little sad, I won't lie to you... but it gets happier, funnier, and straight up moving. Watch it all. You won't regret it.


It's basically all the biggest events, most watched YouTube videos, and talked about memes in one, skipping the celebrity nonsense. And it happens so quickly even someone with ADD can pay attention! Score!

I had goosebumps through the entire thing! And may or may not have nearly shed a tear. That was awesome, and I'm bookmarking that ish forever.

watch/listen: top 25 hits of 2011 get mashed up

Woah. Is someone stealing DJ Earworm's shine?! It may technically be for Germany's top 25 pop hits, but Panos T done swept in and stole DJ Earworm's idea before he released his for this year [assuming he still is].

Check out the Top of Pop video/mash-up below. You'll know 98% of the songs, and it IS good, but I feel for Earworm! How dare someone do it when he's done it for years!

This is one of those moments where I'd throw my arms up and say "Fine. You beat me to it. Eff you. I'll find something else." Hmph.

lady gaga's craziest outfits of 2010... modeled by barbie

Tweet Well this is just downright creative.

We've all seen Lady Gaga's crazy [and rather ridiculous] outfits this year, and as a way to celebrate, Entertainment Weekly dressed up Barbie dolls as Lady Gaga for part of their Entertainer of the Year section.

Each of her outrageous outfits, miniaturized and put on the classiest of all dolls... to create something epic.

Pretty freakin' amazing, if ya ask me!
