When someone asked if I wanted to chat with Chilli from TLC, the only question in my head was HOW WILL I FIT DECADES OF AWESOME INTO A COUPLE MINUTES?!
I had to focus... which I actually can't do, but I had a way better convo than I could've imagined. There was a moment, much like when I talked to BoB, that I could tell she picked the phone off speaker and really enjoyed the conversation with me. She was humble, laughing with me, and bringing up things I was almost a little nervous to bring up myself [Usher and Left Eye].
ICYDK, TLC is on tour with a bunch of other 90s acts right now... plus they put out a new album, have a single with Snoop, and are very much back in the game. We talked about that, how she feels about Lifetime doing a biopic on Simone Biles, and why she keeps an ex-box around.
Plus a simple game of Would You Rather 90s vs. Now with different topics.
I feel real good about that one, so hopefully that's for good reason!

The American Music Awards last night spent some time reminiscing on "the good ol' days" throughout the show, but now it's time to see more. I wanted to compare last night's sights with those of the past.

Great days, they were... back when Leo DiCaprio ruled the world, everyone was talking about Usher being the next R Kelly, Herbal Essences was pretty plain, and Polaroids were still a pretty cool thing to have.
Tweet I didn't get to watch it on time because of the game, so now I'm a little behind in getting a write-up on here.
I'm going to make this as short and sweet as possible.
First of all- What I think about the fashion and looks on the carpet... Via slideshow/captions:

Gabi as the MTV TJ: A lot of people have been asking me what I thought about what she did. You want my honest opinion? Okay, fine. I think she looked amazing, and I think she handled herself well. She was assigned the job of tracking tweets and what everyone was talking about. It wasn't a HUGE role in the show, but for a first gig on MTV, one month after she got hired... I'd say she had the ultimate position and did a damn good job. Sure, I wish I was there... but homegirl is rockin' it, and if anyone deserved that position after a lot of hard work and sacrifices, it's her.
Chelsea Handler as a host: I think someone wrote some pretty corny lines for her, but overall, if you get her humor, she was pretty good! She wasn't as epic as I thought she'd be, but she wasn't anywhere near as bad as some are saying. I wouldn't mind her being the host again. Plus- she looked beautiful. Her skit with Jersey Shore- Lame. With Lindsay Lohan- totally cool because LiLo looked put together which made me smile.
Eminem/Rihanna: You should know I'm not a huge Eminem fan, and if I hear "Love the Way You Lie" one more time, I'M going to start some domestic violence. BUT... Eminem rocked it. He was into it, he was real, it felt good. Rihanna and her bright red hair were beautiful, she sang great, and she was clearly in the moment, too. Great start to the show! Watch if you haven't:
Justin Bieber: Everyone's freaking out because he didn't sing. Shut up. He put on a good show, with some crazy dance moves, and rocked out on the drums, which I had no idea he could do. He's a talented kid, but he's a kid. He used a handicap. Don't use it against him. He's too cute for you to do that, anyway. It's worth watching:
Usher: He sang, he danced, he kicked it old school... Kinda. The visuals [in every performance, really] were pretty freakin' neat, and his dancing is always on point. He was also singing, which wasn't perfect, but that's not what matters. Anyone who likes Usher should definitely watch.
Taylor Swift: Why do people still let her perform on award shows?! SERIOUSLY. She's terrible. She's boring. She can't sing. It's miserable to watch. It's so bad I won't even tell you to watch for a good laugh. She didn't get a good "comeback" to Kanye, nor did she entertain anyone. Epic fail.
Bruno Mars, B.o.B., and Hayley Williams... and Paramore: I'm becoming a big fan of Bruno Mars and B.o.B... Hayley... She's a meh to me for now. The group put on a great, quick collabo, though. She sounded real rough in the beginning, but pulled it together by the end with her band. I'd say it's worth your time:
Drake: I also don't understand why there's so much hype around him and his performances. If you want to say he's a genius and his songs are great.. fine... but his performances are always boring. If it weren't for Mary J. and the awesome visual effects, I would have fallen asleep watching it. Don't bother.
Kanye: A toast to all the douchebags?! Uh.. YES PLEASE! As much as I'm disappointed in the lack of an OMG moment, his red suit with the plain white stage and background were pretty phenomenal. It could be the first performance/song of Kanye's that I thoroughly enjoy. I think you should enjoy it, too. [Plus, the intro from Aziz is freakin' perfect]:
I think that's probably about all there is to talk about besides Gaga's "meat moment." I like what she stands for, I like her purpose in life, I like that she reps her "little monsters" to the fullest. I don't like her going ridiculously over the top like she does and did last night, but when she sang a quick preview of her new song/album, I couldn't help but give her props. Girl's got talent... Just wish she didn't mask it with all the other weirdness.
In conclusion ;) There were no moments that will have us talking for the next year. There were no moments that will have us saying "OMG REMEMBER THE 2010 VMA's!!!" In that sense, the show sucked. If you compare it to other award shows, it's still pretty awesome and entertaining.. minus the same three people winning all of the awards.

I'm officially excited. I love the video! I was a little worried he'd come back a different artist, but he's totally not! He's got the dance moves, a long dance that I want to teach myself, and looks good! Plus, it's got great effects! I love it. Thank goodness.
Justin Bieber--> Love Me
Oh man... I got very scared when I saw he had another song because they can only mean one thing for radio stations: millions more calls. I actually.... I kinda like this song. Is that bad? I always was a teeny bopper....
Gucci Mane ft. Usher--> Spotlight
I really don't know how I feel about Gucci Mane. He's not my favorite.... But I love Usher. I wish someone else would have done this song instead of Gucci Mane. It has serious potential.
JLS--> Everybody in Love
Another group that I've never heard anything about, but I totally like them. They're British, totally cute, and worth a download. I love guy groups. :)
Dirty Money--> Love Come Down
Ugh... I just don't know how I feel about this trio. It's Diddy, Dawn Richard, and some girl named Kalenna. I feel like it's going to be another FAIL on Diddy's part, which makes me sad for Dawn. She's so good! She's the best part about this song, and maybe the only part I really like.
Mika--> Blame It On The Girls
"Hot new music"?!?! I think not. Someone's gotta be joking, right?!
Derek Sholl--> When They Come Back A little emotional, but a great song for parents. Send it to yours and they'll love it if they're anything like mine.
Today marks the 1 year anniversary for Tunes on Tuesday!!! How exciting, right?!? I guess I better make it a good one!

Apparently he has a new album "Raymond vs. Raymond" in the beginning of December! I think he's back, my friends! Well, he never really left... But I fully enjoy it. Lovelovelove.
Jay Sean ft. Sean Paul and Lil Jon--> Do You Remember?
This guy is like straight out of a boy band, and I love it. Interesting mix with Sean Paul and Lil Jon, but I can imagine this being huge, especially with the teen girls.
T-Pain--> Take Your Shirt Off
It's hard for me to comprehend that it's a song with ONLY T-Pain. He's a beast, though... Anything he does is good.
Jada--> Break-up Song
I posted a song called "American Cowboy" by them a couple months ago and I liked it. This isn't bad, either. It reminds me of a song from a couple years ago but I can't put my finger on it... Maybe old-school Pussycat Dolls or something.
Asher Roth ft. Keri Hilson--> She Don't Want a Man
I'll be honest.. I thought we'd forget about him after the college song. Now he's making music with Keri Hilson?! He's not the most talented out there, but he has catchy songs.
Mya ft. Bun B--> Show Me Somethin'
First of all, homegirl is lookin' HOTT! The break she took did her good! She sounds good, too, and I'm totally diggin' the song! Downloaded!
TI--> Hell of a Life
Have I already posted the song? I don't think I have.... For some reason I like TI... This song isn't OMG AMAZING, but it's definitely worth your time.
Michael Jackson--> This Is It
The King is gone, but his music lives on! His first released single [I'm sure there will be plenty] since his death... It's very We Are The World, I feel. The lyrics are awesome. Because it's MJ, you have to get it.
Alicia Keys--> Doesn't Mean Anything
Wow, I feel like she's been gone for a while... But, like many people this week, she's back! I love her and her voice.
Jason Castro--> Let's Just Fall In Love Again
Remember him from Idol?!? I loved him! I was wondering and hoping he'd do something, and this just might be it! Either I'm in a good music mood, or all of these songs are fabulous today.
Mariah Carey--> I Want to Know What Love Is
She redid this song originally by Foreigner, and I actually like it! It sounds a little fake, but maybe it'll sound better off of YouTube, yeah?!
Uncle Kracker--> Smile
Wait... WHAT?! Uncle Kracker is still around?!? I feel like this is the kind of song I will play over and over again just so I can sing along... Hmmm. Uh oh.
Leighton Meester ft. Robin Thicke--> Somebody to Love
A lot of people are going nuts over this song saying it's amazing. I'm on the fence. I don't think it's GREAT, but I'll get down to it.

Two "big events" happened this weekend... The Kids' Choice Awards, and Perez Hilton's 31st birthday party.
It's weird... You'd think the people at the Kids' Choice Awards would be a little less worried about how they look than those who attend the most famous celebrity blogger ever. I mean, he's going to talk about how they looked, obviously.
Still, the pictures I see from KCA show people looking overall fabulously. Everyone at the birthday bash is looking... Well.. Terrible, for the most part.

Don't think you're a pedofile for checking some of these people out. Can I mention how hott Romeo has gotten? Woah. And Ashley Tisdale looks smokin' too!

Ugh. Hooker O'Day is flashin' her goodies. Christina Aguilera thinks it's Halloween, Kim Kardashian seems to be hiding a belly bump, and Paris thinks she's the star of the Matrix. Aye yi yi.
Well done, kiddies! Perez, I think you need new friends. And a new stylist.
As promised, I'm here to tell you all about the "We Are One: Inaugural Celebration at the Lincoln Memorial" from Sunday night.
Unfortunately, a lot of these videos aren't allowed to be circulating the internet, so if any fail to work, I'm sorry!
I can't remember the exact order of events, either, so I'm going to go completely random with this. And you're not going to care.
I think my favorite two performances were Usher, Stevie Wonder, and Shakira singing "Higher Ground," and Will.i.am and Sheryl Crow singing "One Love" with Herbie Hancock.
First of all, I just love seeing Usher back on the scene, especially as such a huge event, and to be performing with Stevie Wonder is obviously something special. But the way they both sound is just great in itself.
I don't like Shakira coming in, though. In fact, I think I hate it. She almost could have ruined it, and I'm not sure why they even brought her in to do that performance, but whatever. As long as sweet Barack liked it.
Will.i.am has been hugely involved within the whole Obama campaign since day one, so it's no wonder he got to perform at this ceremony. Sheryl Crow has also been pretty involved, and she's a wonderful person, so I love that they did it together.
And it's clear why this is a perfect song for this history we are all witnessing. We're all coming together as one. What I love best about this whole thing is when Will.i.am breaks into his/the Black Eyed Peas' song, "What's Goin' On" while still keeping the Bob Marley beat.
Minus the awkwardness of them trying to share the microphone, this is a fantastic show.
Another really great one was James Taylor, Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland [who was obviously VERY excited about being there], and John Legend singing "Shower the People." I love John Legend's voice, and when it's an event like this, I think his voice is unique and so fitting for it. He's amazing.
And James Taylor, pff, he's a legend. There's no wonder he's there. Jennifer's voice just compliments and adds a nice, extra tone to the song. It's pretty. :)
Some solo performances that are necessary to mention are Garth Brooks' "American Pie" and Beyonce's "America the Beautiful."
Garth sounded good, but it wasn't anything I'm jumping out of my seat for. That is, until he broke out into "Shout!" It was a good break from all of the seriousness and readings of the history of this country. Barack definitely seemed to be diggin' it, too!
Finally, Beyonce has an amazing voice. I won't deny it. And she sounded amazing singing this song. They picked a great person to do it. [Only one better would be Jennifer Hudson, I think.. But I'm sure she's still struggling with personal issues...]
Mary J. Blige did "Lean On Me" which was really good, too. It started off iffy, in my opinion, but it was good. Click here if you want to check it out. :)
[Bruce Springsteen also performed to open up the show, and U2 did a couple songs, including the one that has become THE song of the Obama campaign.]
On top of all of these performances, TONS of people made appearances. Tom Hanks, Samuel L. Jackson, Jamie Foxx, Jack Black, Denzel Washington, Steve Carell, and Marisa Tomei are just a few of them.
Most people talked about the history of former presidents, what they did for this country, and how they helped us get to the point we are now. They also introduced different performers, presenters, or whoever.
My favorite, was Jamie Foxx. [Surprised? Probably not.] Only because his was a little different in the sense he did offer a little bit of comedy within the seriousness. He did his own little impersonation of PRESIDENT Barack Obama, and it was dead on.
I love that man.
And, of course, Barack Obama gave a speech, and, well, every speech that he gives will give you goosebumps, and this one was no different. [To keep from this site taking 2398472 hours to load, just click here if you haven't seen or heard it.]
So overall, the show was amazing, and for those who witnessed it, you're really lucky. If not, maybe these pictures [Thanks to the Washington Post] can help you feel like you were, and see how ridiculous the crowd really was.

As I have told you before, this weekend marks the END of TRL. It's coming to a close after a decade of top 10 hits on MTV. :(
In order to celebrate the only music show left on MTV, I figured I'd let you know a couple IMPORTANT facts this weekend. ;)
First of all, "Total Finale Live" will be tomorrow night at 8pm with Carson Daly hosting!! And all of the other hosts throughout the years like Vanessa Minnillo, Damien Fahey, Hilarie Burton, Quddus, etc!
As for performers, we're going to see Beyonce, BACKSTREET BOYS, 50 Cent, Fallout Boy, and a special collaboration by Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, and Nelly, which I'm pretty pumped about.
Mariah Carey, Diddy of course, Justin and JC of NSYNC, Hilary Duff, Taylor Swift, Christina Aguilera and Travis Barker will also make appearances.
Where's Britney in the line-up?! Well, as of now, they're denying her being a part of it. Which is odd, because I feel like Britney IS TRL.
Which brings me to my next set of facts. The All-Time #1 List of TRL. Basically, the songs that we're at #1 for the longest, or whatever.-->
NSYNC--> (God Must Have Spent) A Little More Time On You
Again, I have always said that the pop era is what ruled TRL or whatever, and this list pretty much proves it. We have the top 2 boy bands, and the top 2 pop princesses. Then Kelly was the beginning of the Idol generation(s). Usher is the man. Rihanna represents the newer generation of "pop." And Good Charlotte represents the "rockers." This list is everything I would have expected it to be when it comes to WHO. The songs surprise me a LITTLE bit... Besides Umbrella.
Ohh TRL. How will teenagers ever know which music is the best, now?!
Wow, I'm not a fan of the beginning of the song, but I can get down with the rest of it!! :) It's very much like a lot of her recent things, which makes me reallllly hope that there is going to be SOMETHING different on December 2. Either way, it's another good song to dance to from BritBrit.. And she's making a comeback. :) And she does the little laugh at the end that she used to do a lot! Maybe that's a good sign?!
Christina Aguilera--> Dynamite
Hmm, she did the whole computer-sound thing. Of all people, Christina doesn't need to do this. It's not as extreme as say Kanye, but there's a hint of it and I'm not sure how I feel about it. It's a fun song, a dance-tune, but honestly... It could be on Britney's album I feel.. And I think the whole having similar songs as each other things ended in the 90s. So, good song, but not for Christina, I guess.
Beyonce--> Radio
Again, the whole computer-ific background/beat. All of these songs could be on the same album. At least she's still using her actual voice.. Not messed with. And even though I'm normally a Beyonce-hater, I do like this song. It's a listen-to-in-the-car type song. It can get you pumped for things, maybe. Not bad. But don't tell anyone I said that... ;)
Kat DeLuna--> Am I Dreaming?
Okay, the beginning, before the words, sounds like I'm about to jump into a video game.. And it doesn't exactly stop. Her voice is amazing; she sounds a lot like Mariah in a lot of parts. I like the words, too.. But as for it all coming together, it didn't. Probably why I haven't heard of her.
Usher--> At the Time
OMG I'M SO EXCITED!!! I've never NOT liked something from Usher, but I wasn't loving anything recently.. Not like his old stuff anyways. I LOVE this song. Everything about it. That's all I have to say.
Akon ft. Kardinal Offishall and Colby O'Donis--> Beautiful Remix
Apparently there are TONS of remixes of this song, but I really like this one out of them all. Another up-beat type of song that will put you in a good mood, and has decently good lyrics. :) Plus, Akon is the man. We've already established this.
