She looks GORGEOUS! But "it's what's on the inside" that counts, right? Not entirely true with Rihanna... considering her answer for the kind of men she likes was "hot and hung... but sweet works too!"

Maybe it's because I don't normally read much, and prefer to just look at the pictures, but I always thought Vogue was all about the fashion and that's it. That's not the case with next month's issue, featuring Rihanna on the cover.
Yes, she looks beautiful and her pictures are fantastic to look at....
...but the article is awesome. They hung out with Rihanna at a basketball game and told stories of how she was laid back and trying to make sure everyone had a good time. Apparently she's also a big fan of the people watching.

I always assumed celebs never had the time to sit around and watch people like that, but maybe that's why they all go to basketball games!
Also, they say even though she puts on the super sexy vibe, there's a lot more to her in person, which is what I've always heard from anyone who's met her! The director of her upcoming movie "Battleship" said this:
"When you meet her, there’s absolutely no resemblance to the sexy superdiva that you see in the videos. It’s a complete act, in my opinion. I am not saying she’s not a very sexy girl, but there’s so much more to her than that. She is clearly playing around with a character.”
And as for what she says about herself, it's great to have someone else saying it's okay to have some sexy curves. I know we all know it by now and have heard it a million times, but it's good to know celebs don't feel the pressure to be toothpick-thin.

I'm going to make this as short and sweet as possible.
First of all- What I think about the fashion and looks on the carpet... Via slideshow/captions:

Gabi as the MTV TJ: A lot of people have been asking me what I thought about what she did. You want my honest opinion? Okay, fine. I think she looked amazing, and I think she handled herself well. She was assigned the job of tracking tweets and what everyone was talking about. It wasn't a HUGE role in the show, but for a first gig on MTV, one month after she got hired... I'd say she had the ultimate position and did a damn good job. Sure, I wish I was there... but homegirl is rockin' it, and if anyone deserved that position after a lot of hard work and sacrifices, it's her.
Chelsea Handler as a host: I think someone wrote some pretty corny lines for her, but overall, if you get her humor, she was pretty good! She wasn't as epic as I thought she'd be, but she wasn't anywhere near as bad as some are saying. I wouldn't mind her being the host again. Plus- she looked beautiful. Her skit with Jersey Shore- Lame. With Lindsay Lohan- totally cool because LiLo looked put together which made me smile.
Eminem/Rihanna: You should know I'm not a huge Eminem fan, and if I hear "Love the Way You Lie" one more time, I'M going to start some domestic violence. BUT... Eminem rocked it. He was into it, he was real, it felt good. Rihanna and her bright red hair were beautiful, she sang great, and she was clearly in the moment, too. Great start to the show! Watch if you haven't:
Justin Bieber: Everyone's freaking out because he didn't sing. Shut up. He put on a good show, with some crazy dance moves, and rocked out on the drums, which I had no idea he could do. He's a talented kid, but he's a kid. He used a handicap. Don't use it against him. He's too cute for you to do that, anyway. It's worth watching:
Usher: He sang, he danced, he kicked it old school... Kinda. The visuals [in every performance, really] were pretty freakin' neat, and his dancing is always on point. He was also singing, which wasn't perfect, but that's not what matters. Anyone who likes Usher should definitely watch.
Taylor Swift: Why do people still let her perform on award shows?! SERIOUSLY. She's terrible. She's boring. She can't sing. It's miserable to watch. It's so bad I won't even tell you to watch for a good laugh. She didn't get a good "comeback" to Kanye, nor did she entertain anyone. Epic fail.
Bruno Mars, B.o.B., and Hayley Williams... and Paramore: I'm becoming a big fan of Bruno Mars and B.o.B... Hayley... She's a meh to me for now. The group put on a great, quick collabo, though. She sounded real rough in the beginning, but pulled it together by the end with her band. I'd say it's worth your time:
Drake: I also don't understand why there's so much hype around him and his performances. If you want to say he's a genius and his songs are great.. fine... but his performances are always boring. If it weren't for Mary J. and the awesome visual effects, I would have fallen asleep watching it. Don't bother.
Kanye: A toast to all the douchebags?! Uh.. YES PLEASE! As much as I'm disappointed in the lack of an OMG moment, his red suit with the plain white stage and background were pretty phenomenal. It could be the first performance/song of Kanye's that I thoroughly enjoy. I think you should enjoy it, too. [Plus, the intro from Aziz is freakin' perfect]:
I think that's probably about all there is to talk about besides Gaga's "meat moment." I like what she stands for, I like her purpose in life, I like that she reps her "little monsters" to the fullest. I don't like her going ridiculously over the top like she does and did last night, but when she sang a quick preview of her new song/album, I couldn't help but give her props. Girl's got talent... Just wish she didn't mask it with all the other weirdness.
In conclusion ;) There were no moments that will have us talking for the next year. There were no moments that will have us saying "OMG REMEMBER THE 2010 VMA's!!!" In that sense, the show sucked. If you compare it to other award shows, it's still pretty awesome and entertaining.. minus the same three people winning all of the awards.
The entire Smith family walked the red carpet together for the premiere of "The Karate Kid" which stars little Jaden.
He's been one of my favorite child stars since I found out about him being in this movie, obviously Will Smith is a favorite for anyone, and I've always loved him and Jada together.
What I didn't know is that the entire family is hella cool! Check 'em out! What!!! I don't even know where to begin!!
Will is probably the coolest dad EVER. Trey looks like he's going to be some music star of some sort. Jaden is SUPER FLY!!!! Jada has her own style of hott. Willow looks like a little Rihanna!

You've seen all of the messages, commercials, tweets, etc saying to text a certain number to donate money to Haiti. Some of you have done it, others probably don't want to "waste" your money.
Truth is: Haiti needs our help, and we are perfectly capable of giving it to them.
Instead of texting in and donating money and getting nothing out of it, why don't you download a song? This song, "Redemption Song," covered by Rihanna, was recorded so that all proceeds will go to Haiti.
It's beautiful. Why wouldn't you want to have it in your collection of music?! You might as well "splurge" on that $1.29 and listen to it whenever you want, and feel good about helping a lot of people in need.
Seriously... It'll make you smile, and it'll make a huge difference to someone else.

Saturday Night Live is really on a roll now. These shorts/songs with Andy Samberg and various celebs are genius. I never really thought such things were funny, but now that I understand the comedy, they all have me laughing.

She's actually struggling to keep up with B's opening and closing of the legs rhythm. I'm hating. Hard.

If you haven't heard, Rihanna is all over your TV this week talking about the Chrianna issue. Tonight she'll be on 20/20 with Diane Sawyer, and everyone's saying it's going to be a huge interview, so make sure you set your DVR.
She's also one of the cover girls for this month's Glamour Magazine.
She was picked as one of the Women of the Year for 2009 because of what she's been through, the lessons she can share, and how she can be a great role model for everyone.
Yes, I think she has the ability to be a great role model and help a lot of people get through domestic violence, but so far... What has she done to help?! She's only just now talking about it, bringing it up after everyone began to let it go, and right before her and Chris both release comeback albums.
What she's saying in Glamour's interview does show some light at the end of the tunnel in the sense that she is going to take care of herself and help others, so I just hope that it'll really end up that way, and not another dirty brawl.
I’m stronger, wiser and more aware. You don’t realize how much your decisions affect people you don’t even know, like fans.
It has taught me so much. I felt like I went to sleep as Rihanna and woke up as Britney Spears. That was the level of media chaos that happened the next day. It was like, What, there are helicopters circling my house? There are 100 people in my cul-de-sac? What do you mean, I can’t go back home?
And her main message she wants to send out:
Domestic violence is a big secret. No kid goes around and lets people know their parents fight. Teenage girls can’t tell their parents that their boyfriend beat them up. You don’t dare let your neighbor know that you fight. It’s one of the things we [women] will hide, because it’s embarrassing. My story was broadcast all over the world for people to see, and they have followed every step of my recovery. The positive thing that has come out of my situation is that people can learn from that. I want to give as much insight as I can to young women, because I feel like I represent a voice that really isn’t heard. Now I can help speak for those women.
She definitely seems like she's matured and she's ready to verbally take this on publicly. She said her new album is also more grown-up and represents where she is right now, so I'm sure we can expect some hidden messages throughout the CD.
I'm happy for her, I really am! She looks happy and healthy, she sounds mentally healthy... I just hope there are no attacks at Chris Brown, and he doesn't feel the need to come back with more rebuttals. [Even though I do think he should talk more than he has...] She said she still loves him, but she could never go back.
