watch: britney spears and justin timberlake's mickey mouse club duet

We thought the good ol' days were for just a few short years and ended in 2002, but not true! I mean, we all knew they were on MMC together, but have you ever seen the cuteness for yourself?!

They were destined for each other... I have no fear.. they'll be together in some way or another in the future... even if it's just on stage. They have to! Just like NSYNC had to reunite!

And dare I say BritBrit was the better singer of the two back then?  Cuz I am...

watch: this marc summers interview could ruin your childhood

Fun fact before we even get started: "Double Dare" the show stopped airing in 1992, except for some special episodes in 2000. It started in 1986. DANG, YOU'S OLD DOUBLE DARE!

So you obviously remember the show. You should remember Marc Summers, the host. You HAVE to remember the gak that would spill all over the kids... Now allow me to help you think of it all completely different.

Marc says that he "his coworkers" were a little silly on drugs.. and that when they invented Gak, they named it after HEROIN! What the WHAT!?

We all know damn well you were probably one of the sillies, Marc.

That was kinda everything I hoped it would be. Finding out something that was so innocent when you were a kid is actually so adult is what makes nostalgia even more fun.
That is also one of my favorite interviews I've ever watched online. I LOVE that she got him to play the game! *Taking notes.*

Also... when do we start planning a trip to go to this "Drunk Double Dare?"

watch: parody makes alanis morissette's song actually ironic

When you listen to today's Flashback song on my show, you'll probably realize that it's not all totally ironic.

Well, 27 years later, one girl is making the lyrics 100% ironic.

While she's trying a bit too hard with it and it's not perfect, it's still funny! And I'm glad someone is finally speaking out about the fact that 10,000 spoons when you need a knife isn't ironic.... it's just real life.

watch: lil mama fills in for left-eye during tlc performance

The Mixtape Festival was this weekend, and just as it did last year, it brought back some people from the 90s to perform!

TLC was one of them, obviously missing their "L."

With the movie about their life coming to VH1 later this year, which stars Lil Mama as Left-Eye, the girls invited her to join them on stage.

Unfortunately she didn't rap [or maybe that's a good thing to some of you], but she did werk her little booty off. DANG GURL.

I mean, their performance had everything it used to have besides Left-Eye. Matching outfits, Chili's abs, arm jewelry... and T-Boz just added a little something special- poundage.

Good job, ladies!

where are they now?: cast of sabrina the teenage witch

The movie came out 15 years ago! So where is the cast after all these years? Mostly looking the exact same...

Sabrina
Well, she's basically still living in a 90s sitcom on ABC Family on "Melissa and Joey."

The family
Aunt Hilda was on a bunch of D-list reality shows, and now is a couple voices on Disney's Phineas and Ferb.

Aunt Zelda was on Lost as Kate's mom, and now she's a waitress on Under The Dome.

Salem, AKA Nick Bakay wrote Mall Cop, Zookeeper, and more movies... and is also a producer!

The high school peeps
Harvey basically fell off the planet... and apparently plays guitar in a bluegrass duo now.

Libby has been in a couple episodes of Castle, Bones, and ER.

Principal Willard Kraft is Gene Parmesan on Arrested Development!

Valerie was on Ben and Kate before it was canceled too early, but also Bring It On, duh.

The college years
Morgan was like, crazy awesome in the 90s... but since Sabrina, hasn't really done anything of note.

Roxie voiced some of the Bratz characters, but now mostly concentrates on a boutique she opened in LA.

First of all, no wonder Sabrina ended up with Josh and not Harvey, just based on looks alone! But he's really not any more successful. He hasn't done anything great since Sabrina [WHY!?!?!].

Who knew most of the people from a really great show in the 90s, who mostly look the same, would never get another great gig?! Such a shame.

the sandlot cast has been reuniting across the nation!

Well, it's a little late to be finding this out since the tour is almost over, but to celebrate the 20th anniversary of The Sandlot [hi, you're old], the cast has been traveling to a ton of different ball parks to meet with fans!

Squints, Ham, Yeah-Yeah, Timmy, and Tommy "Repeat"
Let's just admire the guys in their grown-up state:

They got honored at the field in Salt Lake City where most of it was filmed.

Maybe most of them aren't super hott nowadays, but for some reason I kinda wanna hump Squints. Never saw that sentence coming out of my mouth. ...or... fingers.
Also... Yeah-Yeah!? Woah guy. You're large. You should take a break from the gym sometimes.

You should also know that Ham is married in real life.

Get it, boy!

If you wanna try and catch them somewhere on their last couple trips, find out all the deets here.

I'm sorry that I'm just now hearing about this. I failed you.

watch: what did we do before the internet?

But seriously, y'all... Before the internet, before cell phones... how did ANYONE have a social life?! I'm baffled. I can't figure it out. This video is asking all the questions, and reminding us of how life was... if we can even pretend to remember how it was.

Yeah, I just don't know about that life.

flashback: remember when being on the computer was like this?

I've always been a bit of a computer nerd.. but the cool kind, of course. I had the ultimate [Sub]profile on AIM..

[One of the most embarrassing things I have ever put on the internet was this here letter that apparently appeared in my "subby," according to documents I found on my hard drive.]

My buddy icons were so on point.

[I probably got grounded or something, hence the "I'm back!"]

Speaking of icons, I obviously collected all the best for my MySpace background.

[I'm pretty bothered that I let one with the worst grammar ever make it on there....]

And I totally made a really intense website for my senior class that told everyone where their classmates were headed. [If only I still had a screenshot of that... Turns out netcolony.com websites have finally disappeared.]

But maybe you weren't as nerdy cool as me... I bet you still remember this stuff.

So... mesmerized.....

FINALLY!

Turns out this little guy who kept you company on your desktop was nothing but a virus.

And this guy shoulda been a virus so I could have killed him with help from my BFF McAfee.

No other picture will ever make me love the Internets of today more than this one.

WHERE DO YOU EVEN FIT SUCH A THING?!

OMG THE WHOLE SHEBANG! You are so popular right now.

Only the most intense and addicting game to come before Angry Birds.

The programs of yesteryear really tested your creativity.... and skills. Photoshop ain't got nothin' on these!

So high-tech.

I WANT ALL THE MUSIC AND VIRUSES!

Video games... in school...?!? NEATO!

And you thought Chrome was fast?! PSHT.

But like... Neopets though....

And lest we not forget about XANGAAAAA.
GoodNESS I used to be emotional. Glad I grew some thick skin.

The possibilities for nostalgia in a post like this are endless, but I'm to the point where I'm way too embarrassed of the words I used to put out for the world, so I'm outtie.

TTFN!

watch: shaq finally gets revenge on aaron carter

12 years ago, Aaron Carter bragged about beating the one and only Shaq...

Today, Shaq got revenge.

Alright, so it's like overly staged/acted out, but I still love that this even happened! Minus the whole looking at Aaron's now creep-tastic face thing...

They've both lost their swagger, but Aaron's lost more... officially.

watch: justin timberlake, ryan gosling, and jc chasez sing "cry for you"

In case you've been all MIA or something, every night at 7:00 I play an old school song and accompany it with some fascinating info from the 90s.

Today's share: This video of JT, JC, and RGos [AKA the Mickey Mouse Club] singing a song about crying for you.

Goodness there are so many things wrong with this video, which I guess makes it so right.

  • Those OUTFITS! They look like a 60 year old gospel group or something.
  • They're singing about crying for me. I didn't listen to all the lyrics, but if any dude cries for me, I normally don't find it that hott.
  • Ryan Gosling's singing voice. I'm glad you discovered more acting, boo.
  • The token black guy. At first I thought it was perfect and that more boy bands should have jumped on that idea, but I was lying to myself. He's on a different level than the whiteys.
  • And of course, Justin's hair... but we've been over that.
I wonder if they could bring back a Mickey Mouse Club and make it work nowadays like some other 90s stuff....

....who am I kidding. All of Disney Channel's shows are individual MMC's.

flashback: the most ridiculous pictures of boy bands

For my 90s Dance Party hour on Candy 95 today, I did a boy band theme and it absolutely made my day. Apparently it made a lot of other days, too. A TON of people texted in thanking me for turning their day around.

Truth is- The 90s boy bands were amazing and impossible to duplicate. No group will ever be able to do what they all did, especially the Backstreet Boys and NSYNC. They're classic.

Also classic: The pictures each boy band took for their albums, magazine shoots, whatever it was they were shooting for. Seriously. Take a look down boy band memory lane:

Backstreet Boys

Looking through the top of your sunglasses=badass, duh.

I mean... Why NOT take a picture all dressed up at a urinal?!

This is Halloween......... right??!...
The cutest little Santas you'll ever see

They say a girl loves a man who loves his stuffed animals...

The diversity here is epic! Different jerseys! Do I spy Texas A&M on Brian?!

On, Nick... You're such a devil with that tight belly shirt.

Showing the boxers elastic+Nick's hair+backwards hat+open shirts=sexiest thing EVER

"AJ... I want you to thrust your junk into my ear a little more. Yeah, there ya go." -Nick

So delicate.

NSYNC

All black, no smiles, a little bit of pleather and see-through sunglasses= SO hard.

Having a sleepover and canoodling with 4 other dudes= not hard.

Them jerry curls are beautiful, Justin. And Lance- we knew you were gay at the first site of this picture.

Well if this doesn't scream amateur photography, I don't know what does... And Lance, you're beautiful.

Dear Justin- YOU'RE SO FREAKING COOL! ALL BOYS WANNA BE LIKE YOU...........

Let's all curl up in an American flag and have Justin bend over in front of us.

It's like Dave Chapelle+Ke$ha+the Titanic...

If there was a poster to represent 90s style, this picture would be involved.

Please, Justin... Hold my head. And remember, everyone- frosted tips= the key to success.

and 98 Degrees

Turtlenecks turn me on

They rocked the all red suit DECADES before Kanye.

Please, PLEASE perform at my bachelorette party, boys.

There's that black pleather and hard look again.

HURRY! Let's drown the ugly member of the group!

Ahhh, the good ol' days. Feels good to reminisce, doesn't it?! I heart the 90s. Thank you, boy bands, for being the heart and soul of my life... right there with pop princesses.
