watch: s club 7 reunites on australian tv

I saw the headline and FREAKED. Beyond excited that a sweet group like S Club 7 had performed together and I could watch it.

Then, I watched it.

How depressing is that?! Only three of them are included, but that's not even the worst part. They all look really, very old.. their dance moves are non-existent... and their singing abilities- not the same. Yikes.

Maybe my hopes/expectations are much too high after the NKOTBSB concert. They all had their ish together pretty well. That being said, when I saw NKOTB by themselves the summer before, they were definitely a little dusty.

Here's to hoping for more reunions that are worth being excited for.

watch: fckh8's new video about being full of sh!*

It's crazy to me that so many people I talk to when I wear my FCKH8 shirts have no idea what the charity/website/videos are! If YOU are one of those people, you need to educate yourself like now.

And their latest video is all about the politicians and being full of sh!*. As usual, they took the shocking route. Even when I'm used to their antics, I still gasped a little.

SO funny. SO true. SO OMG.

I think it's almost time for me to get a new t-shirt. I still wish I could collab with them somehow. I need to get on trying to make that happen.

photo diary: virginia beach floatopia

Happy belated Memorial Day weekend!

Normally I head home to the race tracks to beat a bunch of men on the drag strip, but since I moved to Texas, I had to "share" the car with my brother... AKA he gets to race it. [The younger ones always get everything, don't they?!] Since it's been a while since I've even made it home to the race, I really did wanna make it back, but once I heard about Floatopia, I had to stay here and see what it was all about.

Basically, a couple hundred people head out to the bay, bring any kind of floats they can think of from simple tubes to gigantic island rafts, grab some beverages and food, and float all day long. Yeah, pretty great.

One example of the gigantic rafts. That's a 10-seater, people. With cup holders.

Bobby Hollywood brought a castle. Which he stayed in for about five minutes before it turned into our cooler/trash holder.

My dates, as usual. [I got a super sweet waterproof case for my camera. It's going to make for awesome pictures this summer.]

One raft anchors down, then everyone else attaches to it one by one, and this is the scene for the rest of the day. These girls poured lots of shots of Fireball.

The land scene.

And then there were these kids. I laughed so hard. Click on it, make it bigger, and just freaking look at what's happening.

Of course I've missed the Bug Out a lot the past couple years, but I won't lie... this was a pretty sweet day. Lucky for me [and you, if you live anywhere near here], they're doing it again on the 4th of July, including fireworks!

nifty: the vibrating, human shaped, pillow phone [and other cell phone accessories]

Who only wants apps for their phone when they can have sweet gadgets and accessories?!

First of all, if you're in a long distance relationship or away from your family, you're going to need the Hugvie.

It's squishy, so that's neat. I'd snuggle with its vibrating body any time. And if I was in a long distance relationship, I'd make them talk real loud so ya know, it goes harder.

In case you were wondering, there are many more ridiculous accessories for your phone.

This ear case will obviously hide the fact you're on your phone while driving... and for only $16.

OR, you could hold a hand while talking. Maybe it'll make you feel like you're with that person for only $60.

But despite what you may think you should spend money on, your phone shouldn't be getting wet, so you shouldn't need a freaking windshield wiper.

Finally, something that I think is absolutely necessary, is this towel with built in speakers. Hello summer. It's so nice to see you, and this shall be my new companion at the beach for $75. [Dear Sugar Daddy or Birthday Santa...]

I think that makes us 5 steps closer to being complete cell phone geeks and having nothing but objects that have to do with them. The future is looking bright, my friends.....

watch: cady eimer's final one less lonely prom video

As you should know by now, Cady Eimer's dreams of spending a night with Justin Bieber came true last week. It was a moment/weekend I'll never forget, and again, I can't thank her or her family enough for letting me be a part of it and present the video from Justin at her prom.

ANYWAY, now she's wrapping things up, and had her friends/family/supporters/me say a couple things about her journey as she said her final thoughts as well.

The girl's an inspiration, so watch this.

Now, it wouldn't be my completely honest blog if I didn't call her sister Holli out for being very "Rosie" and standing in the shot while playing with her hair... silly girl, stop that!

BUT, what this video shows, is that with a big dream, some supporters, and motivation... anything is possible.. just like I said up there.

"Strivers achieve what dreamers believe."

I've said it a million times, and look at that... I said it again. Thanks, Cady, for helping prove that it's true.

watch: real world st thomas trailer

It's finally that time! Real World: St Thomas is debuting on June 27, which gives us our first official look at the show today!

It looks like they'll be doing a lot of fun/interesting activities around the island, along with our fair share of crazy people, attitudes, hook-ups, jealousy, and fights that make the show go 'round!

I still assume that with them being on their own little island, it'll help with creating more drama within the roommates, but it also looks like they get out a decent amount too.

That shot of Robb at the end is a bit freaky and not what I would have expected from the little information we already know, but I'll be the first to admit that most of the time the first impressions I get are a bit wrong...

I haven't decided if I'll be doing chats for this season or not. If you'd like me to, at least for the premiere, tweet me or let me know somehow, and I'll make it happen! In the meantime, follow all of the roommates right here.

And as always, let me know your thoughts on the trailer!

podcasts: worst tips for servers, and more

A little catch-up on the show! These are from Monday, but I've been swamped this week.

It was National Wait Staff Day, so I asked servers to tell me the worst tips they've ever gotten. Since I was one for about a year, I know there are a LOT of awful kinds. It's not just a small amount of money, but guests do and leave some lousy ish for you.

Seriously those religious things are THE WORST. And they really make no sense to me. I'm not your slave and I don't think sweet baby Jesus would appreciate you treating me like one.

We also talked about songs you'd never wanna find on your parents' iPods. TONS of calls on this one, and the list can definitely go on.

"My neck, my back, my.." AHH! If I EVER saw that anywhere near my parents' belongings, I'd freak out.

FYI, my iPhone/iPad app now has a streaming option! You can listen live directly from there, for free, so holla at it, kthanks.

you must see my dad tearing up the dance floor

Over the weekend I went home for my cousin's wedding. [Let the season begin!] I knew it'd be a lot different than any wedding with my friends considering my entire family would be there, but I really had no idea what to expect.

Well, I was more than pleasantly surprised when my dad was the first person to hit the dance floor and completely OWN it. He had some dance moves I've never seen [that were mostly off-beat], and so it's only right that I made them into gifs for you to enjoy.

This would be his dance to the "DING DING DING" in Black Eyed Peas' "I Gotta Feelin"

Some fist pumping song came on, so I showed him how it's done. He went way harder than me.

"EVERY DAY I'M SHUFFLIN"

Maybe my personal favorite. This was what I called the "white man dance." He didn't like that so much.

And this is what I call the grand finale. Totally caught me off guard.

My dad thinks he's a 25 year old. It's pretty awesome now that I'm out of the house and also about to be 25... but I'll be honest... for a man who is naturally AWESOME at all things playing music, he certainly has no rhythm. Hence my mother laughing at him in most of those.

But like... SERIOUSLY. How freaking hysterical is that?! I'm still crying laughing.

--

Here are some more pictures from the wedding:
My bro thought he'd get a little comb-over action going for this summer. What a old grown man.

My cousin Joe, the groom.

I caught the bouquet!! And, check the sculpture I conveniently placed Mikey near... teehee.

Why did I even waste space with those pictures? I should have just posted the gifs twice.

elizabethany

PS: Dad, I know you said I shouldn't post these and you have some "career" to hang on to but like... so do I. And I'm the future. So like.... I love you?

watch/read: justin bieber asks hampton roads' cady eimer to be his date

I got the honor of being able to follow the rest of Cady's journey of asking Justin Bieber to prom after I asked him about her during my interview.

It was an incredibly exciting ride as her mom heard from Scooter, told me all of the plans, and we worked out all of the details on "this side" of the plan. Justin sent a video to her mom that I got to present at her prom tonight. He was sorry he couldn't be there at prom, but there was much, much bigger news.

Here is the full video from the Biebs:

And here is what we aired on the station immediately after we broke the news at prom:

It was incredibly amazing to watch everything unfold. I don't think it's even hit her yet, but it will in a few hours when she's on a plane to Vegas and about to get her hair and make-up done. The girl has put a LOT of work into trying to get his attention for over a year.. and that deserves the attention and opportunity she's about to have.

Cady trended worldwide on Twitter tonight, and these are just some of the things people were saying:

Again, congrats to you, Miss Cady. Have a freakin blast! And to her mom, thanks for trusting me and allowing me to be a part of such a HUGE moment. I'll never forget tonight for the rest of my life, that's for damn sure.

PS UPDATE: Here are some more pics! I am absolutely in love with these that her family friend took at the prom. It shows everyone's laughs and then pure shock the moment Justin shares what's going on:

And here are some from the big night, AT the awards:

5 recipes to celebrate national chocolate chip day

Today is National Chocolate Chip Day, so it only makes sense that I gather some awesome recipes for you to make tonight! I looked beyond the obvious chocolate chip cookies and brownies, and found these scrumdiddliuptious things for you.

Okay, so this one is your average chocolate chip cookie on the outside, but cheesecake on the inside! Imagine this as a Birthday cookie cake. Oh my...

And then we have a straight up chocolate chocolate chip cheesecake, topped with some fruit.

This one has everyone talking. Finally chocolate chip cookie dough is good to eat as a dip!

If you're dieting for the summertime, a chocolate chip drink will cut some calories! Like a mint chocolate chip martini!

And this will definitely help cut calories, and it's super simple! Insert chips into raspberries, and enjoy the sweetness!

My birthday is in a month. I'm seriously going to need someone to make me one or all of these things. In the meantime, I'll be partaking in the raspberries tonight.

podcast: what people got away with

It's National Police Week, and in order to celebrate on the show, I wanted to know what people have gotten away with doing. I assumed I'd get a lot of the typical "I cried my way out of a ticket," but I was incredibly surprised.

One lady escaped three felonies and one guy got away with counterfeit money. And that's not even half the calls I got.

You better believe I'M taking notes on how to escape some of these things! Hott damn. I'm certainly falling in love with my listeners and their willingness to share their lives.

Also, last week, I talked about things people have done in their past that would definitely get them fired if their current employer found out.

One dude SH!* ON HIS BOSS' CAR every Sunday. Unreal.

So. Freaking. Good.

My app will have an update this week allowing you to listen to the show directly from there, or you can always catch my podcasts, tweets, blog, etc from it as well. Holla at that free-ness! ;)

photo diary: my life, the past couple weeks

Thanks to my camera getting stolen once again, I haven't been able to successfully keep you updated on my life! BUT, thanks to amazing men who were there the night it was taken, they donated over $200 for me to replace my camera ASAP. Now, I'm back in action!

Ever since I moved into my house, my roommate and I have wanted to paint an accent wall. We finally got around to it. We picked a very bold cyan, and it has completely transformed the room! I love it!

We have a lot more decorating to do, but we're getting there. Having two people and all their stuff come together for one design is a hard thing to do... that's a lesson I'm definitely learning.

Two weekends ago was, of course, Cinco de Mayo. The same people that put together SantaCon and LepreCon in the area put on MexiCon, and duh- of course we were there.

We got those sweet Corona ponchos from Tijuana Flats before the bar crawl! So neat!

Some of the travelers... Bar #3. There are a lot of people being covered up, including a girl who spent $45 on a legit sombrero.

And these would be the final pictures of me before I hopped in a cop car and got a ride home. Yeah, somehow I pulled off getting a free ride home while being Cinco-de-Shmammered.

As for this past weekend, we kicked off wine festival season in Norfolk. [There's another one in Virginia Beach this weekend, along with Preppy-Con.]

Not gonna lie, I LOVE my dress that I wore. I got it on sale at Forever 21!

Tried to keep it classy-ish for a little.....

Didn't exactly last long....

And BRUCE SMITH happened to be standing right by us for a good ten minutes, took a picture of Bobby with him, and it never clicked to me who he was. I know.. I'm a bad fan. My brother is surely gonna kill me for this.

Finally... I had NO idea that potatoes grew "sprouts" after a week or so of sitting in the bag, so when I learned this, I decided to start a science experiment. A couple months later, there was a monster potato. Don't worry. I threw it out this weekend.

There a bunch of pictures from MexiCon over here, if you wanna see ALL of the loco. And, if you wanna catch more pictures from me in general, you could always be my friend on Facebook or follow me on Instagram [@luvelizabethany], duh.

then and now: morgan matthews of boy meets world

ABC Family is now playing Boy Meets World more times, and at more decent times, every morning. Today it had me thinking... what do the actresses who played the adorable and bratty Morgan Matthews look like nowadays?

Yes, there were in fact two different ones.. those sneaky people.. The original was Lily Nicksay, and then Lindsay Ridgeway. [I'm thinkin' they shoulda just stuck with Lily the whole time, but what do I know, right?]

Here would be the gorgeous Lily now:

She looks the EXACT same, right? And super gorgeous. [FYI, she needs help with the Twitter follower count.]

Here's Lindsay.

That one of Lindsay is obviously from 2005ish based on the hair and shirt, but apparently she graduated college with a PoliSci degree and has moved on from the glamour shots of acting.

And there's that. A lot easier to take in than Lisa Turtle's latest reveal. Still baffled by that.
