this or that outfits: black leather jacket

We could look at these posts as something helpful like I really couldn't decide what to wear... or we can look at them as the truth: I tend to wear the same things a couple days in a row. [I also eat the same meals for days in a row... WHATEVER.]

Last week, it was all about my black [p]leather jacket from Target.

This sweater comes out of my drawer once a year. I always think it's a bad idea, but really it isn't! I added a little color with the necklace and voila.

jacket- $15 from Target
sweater is super old... like 8 years.
jeans- Express via TJ Maxx $16
boots- $17 from Target
necklace- $5 from Charlotte Russe

This time I decided to go with one of my fave new neon tees, which just happened to match this scarf perfectly.

-scarf from my clothing swap
-neon studded tee- $8 from Forever21
-jeans also Express via TJ Maxx $20
-same jacket and boots

I guess I could also ask which hair-up style is better, but considering both happened because I was feeling incredible lazy, I won't. Do tell which outfit you like best, though!

Any volunteers to do a This/That post? You just holler at me!

weekend outfits: stripes and bling

My brain is doing the complete opposite of working these days, and I'm even medicated again! But like... when you have a brain fart or writer's block when starting a fashion post, you have issues.

And now I don't know what to say next.

Here's what I wore Friday, when I finally go to host my first DC club gig at Ultrabar!

-old boyfriend blazer from Forever21
-tank from Target
-pleather and lace leggings from White Owl Boutique [only $14!]
-bunch of necklaces from all over
-simple black pumps from Shoe Dept.

And I discovered this little trick with my leggings... If I just put a pair of opaque tights underneath, it not only keeps me warm, but takes away all my cellulite and wrinkles in the leggings!

It was super comfortable, I felt pretty sexy [even though I'm thinking it looked better in the dark than now...], and I was free to dance on the platforms or wherever I felt.

And Saturday...

-sweater from F21 clearance the other day for under $10!
-gray jeans, also from F21 a long time ago
-neon flats from Charlotte Russe
-neon rope and fake blinged out necklace from H&M for a DOLLAR!

I fully regretted this decision of flats in the winter.... but they were so perfect for the outfit!

I feel like I'm probably going to wear that outfit for the Super Bowl, too [it's kinda sorta almost their colors in real life]... Don't tell anyone, but I'm a big fan of the Seahawks because of their uniforms and colors. But seriously... that's top secret information because I sound like an annoying girl and they consistently beat the Redskins whenever we actually do make it to the playoffs.

So there are those.... now I'm going to go get some things and find a place in this apartment for all my lights and photography stuff so I can start posting semi-decent photos.

what i wore last week- jungles, boyfriends, and neon

Seems like some of you enjoy creepin' on my daily outfits, so I'm gonna continue making it easy for ya!

Here's what was on me last week:

Neon is totally my staple this summer. I'm obsessed. The easiest outfit ever:
-neon shorts from Charlotte Russe $10
-striped tank from F21 $6
-sandals from Charlotte Russe $8
-flower from H&M $4

I LOVE this skirt and really need to wear it more, but had a reason to try hard when Emblem3 and MKTO came to the studios. Normally I'd never wear those shoes with the outfit, but I felt it was fitting for the day, and I actually got compliments from our special visitors!
-skirt from F21 $8
-tank from F21 $8
-shoes from Charlotte Russe $5
-I had on really old, minty-turquoise and silver dangly earrings

Still trying to figure out the best way to make boyfriend jeans look good. They're certainly not the most flattering pants I own, but they're comfortable! Of course I took every bit of that comfort away when putting on heels.
-jeans from NY&C $15
-tee from F21
-necklace from Old Navy $4
-open toed pumps from Candies at Kohl's $20
-super old silver and white bangles and silver hoops
-my hair is in a braid, then pinned up in a loose bun of sorts

A day at the beach bars/pools calls for a presentable outfit but easy to wear if wet [or drunk]. Skater skirts are my latest obsession because you can wear em with crop tops or bathing suit tops and still feel relatively covered. [Although this picture makes me feel like they're not flattering at all] With big earrings and lipstain, you're good to go!
-skirt from ASOS $11
-bathing suit top from Victoria's Secret $10ish
-earrings from Old Navy $3

And of course, Wednesday's outfit, another good one for the pool/beach days, is right over yonder!

As always, your comments, suggestions, dislikes, etc are always welcome!

what i wore this week 072613

Normally plan on putting these up on Mondays, but I've been hella busy, so you're going to forgive me.

Now that I'm forgiven, here's what I put on my bod this week.

MONDAY:

This tank is one of my go-to's this summer. It cost me under $10, and I've probably worn it almost 10 times. It's perfect for over bathing suits, with jeans, with colored pants... anything. It's also the best thing I own for really hot days.
-tank: $8 from F21
-purple jeans from F21 $15
-neon bandeau from H&M $4
-neon sandals from F21 $9

TUESDAY:

Out of my normal-zone with booties in the summer, and I don't hate it!
-booties from F21 $10
-high-waisted shorts from F21 [I should really shop elsewhere...] $9
-totally forget where the necklace is from... forgive me.

THURSDAY:

I did a mix of beachy and more dressy that I think worked out! Normally I'd never pair my pinstripe shorts with such a chill, summery tank... but they matched so well! I also added some fun, bright colors to my make-up.
-tank from Express $13
-shorts from F21 years ago
-silver flops from Aeropostale $2
-earrings from Charlotte Russe $1.50

SATURDAY:
[because I never really got dressed on Friday]

I had another country concert but thought I'd be sitting in the lawn, so cut-offs were obviously a must!
-tank from Papaya years ago
-jorts from Kohl's
-boots were an amazing gift
-gold dangling earrrings from BlueLans.com

And just for fun, these precious moments that happened after taking pictures one day. [Slutty hates cuddling nowadays... luckily Nugget absolutely loves it for the five minutes he's not being a psycho.]

[He gives me real kisses every time I make the kissy noise. It's the best.]

YAY for getting dressed and wearing my clothes! Boo for having more laundry to do.

outfit: i went 90s neon for the package tour

To be honest, I don't totally know what decade/era this outfit would fit into. Early 90s with the neon? Mid-late 90s with the crop top? Meh, whatever. All of those years were represented in *package* form at the Package Tour.

I had bought a neon skirt for the HOT Summer Fiasco, but never got to wear it, so I held on to it and tried to find a crop top to go with it. Normally I'm all anti crop tops because sometimes you just don't need to be that slutty, trashy, whatever you wanna call it. Now that I've tried the high-waisted skirt/crop top combo, I could become obsessed.

-H&M skirt $12 [similar]
-earrings from China
TOTAL: $30!

That little bit of skin showing is so sexy to me! Plus: It's the most flattering part of anyone's torso, right?! I'll never show off that little tire around my belly button, but this skirt conceals it!
And even though the skirt is a little see-through, it's so light and flowy and fun and... well, I'm truly obsessed. I don't even care if you think this looks cute or not.
Also, you should know that once I actually headed out, I totally added my Sorry I Party fanny pack.

Now I just need to find more opportunities to wear this/something like it. Damnit. I shouldn't have posted a picture.... now everyone's going to know I wear it all the time!
