27 fall looks i'm loving

I'm constantly on the 'gram taking screenshots of outfits I love and then doing nothing with them.... so I figured, why not gather them all on one fabulous post? That way, not only do I have a more convenient place to find them, but you can see too!

Most of them come from the @liketoknow.it account because, duh, it's a gathering of all the best bloggers. 

Dressing down all that glitter- yes. 

Surely you already know these button down suede skirts are EVERYWHERE.

Sometimes looks are so simple and effortless and I swoon.

Hopefully we all have the striped dress, army jacket, and booties staples in our closets already.

Okay these over the knee boots and the vest and the fringe... a lot of pieces coming together flawlessly.

Note to self: Folded over socks are cool again. This is literally the easiest outfit ever.

All black everything, and a navy purse?! The hat, the vest... I want it all.

Turns out grey and camel/brown can actually work together in beautiful harmony.

Dear Santa, can I have this skirt that matches my hair?!

Turtleneck gets surprisingly more sexy when you pair it with over the knee boots. 

I think I'll always love an outfit with a hat... and/or a skater skirt.

Everyone's talking about gold make-up... and this is the simplest and best version I've seen.

I'm also a pretty big fan of Jacy Overstreet's simple style. 

The black/white/grey/denim= must do.

How come the shirt around the waist doesn't work this well for me?

By now you should know that I head the Instagram challenges we do with the station every three months... but if you didn't, now you do!

Because I'm all about them, I'd love for you to be too! Each day, post a picture or video with the inspiration given! It's okay if you've started another one or skip a couple days, as long as you do as many as you can! It's super fun to see all the pictures and into your lives! [It's the stalker in me and I'm NOT sorry about it.]

the extreme bullying tweets i got today

If you don't follow me on Twitter or if you were somehow able to miss all of the tweets, you should know I was straight up attacked ALL DAMN DAY.

Why? Because when one of the Emblem3 dudes said his #1 wish was to end suffering, I said "Okay Miss America." Ya know, a joke. Those things I'm normally not so good or quick with.

Three words sparked all of these tweets/posts, and a ton more I've heard about on tumblr, Instagram, etc that I don't care to find.



I don't even need to go into the irony/hypocrisy of their words and actions... you're my friend, you get it. I also shouldn't have to explain that I never go into an interview with the purpose of insulting someone.

I'm not posting these for people to feel bad for me or to think my day was awful, because that's not true at all. I'm lucky to have figured out a way to deal with people saying mean things my whole life, and now it mostly entertains me. This morning was hysterical.

When I realized that this is what other people have to go through, though.... it started to bother me. Not everyone is as fortunate to be able to have thick skin and brush it off. I've always said kids need to just toughen up and deal with it like we all did.. but now I realize bullying is on a whole different level than it ever used to be for us.

These kids are hiding behind computer screens, reading what other mean people are saying, and just multiplying it! They probably have parents who have no idea how awful their child is, and might not even care. They're telling complete strangers to kill themselves, not knowing how serious that person might take it. It's scary.

So as I said on air tonight: Live your life so that you'll be proud of yourself in five or ten years. If you're being really mean to real people, that's not cool, bro.

jesse and the rippers are coming to late night!

This is real life, and NO, we haven't traveled back to 1993! [Although it's starting to really feel like it...]

BUT! Jesse Katsopolis and the Rippers will be on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon next week, and he's already been practicing!

Holy crap... I've been all sleepy and stuff today but I'm on the edge of my seat in excitement now! Let's reminisce on his old singing days:

my june 2013 on instagram

Hopefully you're aware we did another photo challenge on Instagram with the station, and hopefully you got to participate, at least a little! [Ya see... I'm in charge of them... so even if you're not in Hampton Roads, it's still awesome to have you join in on the fun!]

I get really pumped to do these for a number of reasons, even though I have to come up with two pictures each day, which isn't always easy. Now, looking back, I realize I took a serious amount of pictures and that I had a pretty great month.

- I got to go to a Darius Rucker concert ON the beach

-We got some pretty sweet red cups with our logo on them

-I got a Diamond Candle for my birthday, which is like.. the new greatest gift idea!

-We made a really silly video for Fiasco

-There was a night full of intense storms that ruined my show for a couple hours

-I had unlimited delicious desserts for my birthday

-I tried the rubberband photography, and tried to get others into it, too. 

-We had the HOT Summer Fiasco, and a ton of screaming people looking at us, which is always neat.

But still... the absolute best part about doing these is seeing everyone else's pictures and what their creativity can come up with.

We're going to do these every three months, which gives one per season!, so get ready to join in come September!

It's time for another #HOTPicADay photo challenge with my station and me! [I made it, so it's for every one of my friends, not just listeners!]

Save this picture, repost it on your own Instagram or whatever, and use each day's word/label/whatever as inspiration for a picture to post. If you jump in late- it's okay! If you miss a couple, that's fine! Just jump back in!

The one we did in March was so fun! I woke up every morning pumped to see everyone's pictures, and everyone who regularly participated told me they gained a ton of followers from it!

Plus, it's easy. And it gives you something to do. And it's my birthday month so like... you have to... right?

Everyone is still saying they're not going to be appearing on the show, just visiting the new cast and giving them pointers. Of course I have hopes for a surprise, but I don't wanna get them too high.

watch: i gave corey a make-over

If you didn't know about the Instagram photo challenge I made for the station, you needta educate yourself. Then you need to join in. It's never too late; you don't need to catch up!

Yesterday's big inspiration was "make-up," but Corey didn't wanna give up on it just because he's a dude.... so I suggested a make-over of course!

He got the works! Eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, bronzer, concealer, etc! Even a little flat iron action!


What a beautiful lumberjack lookin' lady, right?! ...Good thing he doesn't have the goal of becoming a drag queen. Those "goat screams" are a little ridiculous.

Oh and BTW- How FABULOUS is my bathroom's wallpaper?! If only it had some better lighting...

my march instagram challenge: hot pic a day

I've tried to do these instagram challenges so many times, but I don't think I ever make it very far beyond two days completed. Not in March! I will complete it all!

Why am I so determined? Well, mostly because I came up with one that we're doing with the station so I can't be a hypocrite.... but also because it's just fun, duh.

If you're a fan of our station, you'll notice a lot of familiar "themes" in them. Most are tied in with our shows' topics and things we do, or our events. Still, they're all easy for everyone to do!

Just in case you don't know how they work- Every day you post a picture on instagram with our hashtag #HotPicADay, and you use the corresponding number/date for your inspiration! It's like instagrampiration! Or... something.

I really think you should save it, and jump in on the fun! Even if you don't listen to the station. [Which is stupid considering it's my station and I'd really appreciate you listening. Kthanks.]

It's combination instagram hate and Nickelback hate, in one of the best parodies I've seen in a while [like at least a couple weeks or months]!

If you're a typical instagram'er, I recommend not watching it. You'll get real mad.

celebrating world smiley day with you! everyone's creepy pics

It's World Smile Day! I originally planned on trapping strangers and creepily smiling and staring at them way past the awkward point, but that was a lot harder to do than I imagined. Instead, I asked everyone to send me pictures of their creepy smiles!

People tagged/sent them to me on Facebook, Twitter, and instagram, and now I have a creeptastic bunch of collages of my online friends. [And the one I took yesterday when I thought I was headed to shoot the video...]

My, what beautiful friends I have....

No but really.... I was laughing out loud all freaking day. And some of them legitimately creep me out so I'm trying not to stare.
