if famous pop culture moments happened in the 90s

It's about damn time I get back into sharing all things 90s! What better day than Throwback Thursday?!

What if some of the biggest pop culture icons/happenings/etc happened in the 90s? Well... Cracked illustrated it for us and some of them are perfection.

Angry Birds, meet awesome Nokia brick phone.

"Baby got ASS!" Featuring Kim K's ass, of course.

Because everything we loved had to become clear for a little while.

This is why we didn't try such holograms back then.

The hair! The font! The colors! This is perfect.

Anything that I know of as high quality or 3D DEFINITELY included a lot of red and blue, and some special glasses.

Now these outfits are right.

I imagine this would have been extremely thick and heavy, as well... with plenty of space for floppy disks.

Accurate casting.

And last but not least....
I've never seen anything make this moment as funny as this picture! the hair! LOL YES.

I seriously laughed out loud at so many of those. So great.

i spy: uncle sam and halloween 2013

So... This year... is not like the past few.

Without giving you [perfectly reasonable] excuses on why I don't have a HUGE collection of awesome costumes from this year, I'll just take the blame... it's cuz I've become a Halloween snob thanks to Pinterest... and expect nothing but the best.

That being said, there were some I totally loved... and these are them!
This is the epitome of hott costume but still legit. Look at their wigs! So many props, ladies.

"What are you blind, ref?! You're blowin' the game!" ... I assume that's what they're doing here, anyway...

I'll ALWAYS give props to fully homemade costumes, especially when they're simple but still look great! Like both of those.
If Red and the Wolf woulda had a baby.....

IT'S SO INTENSE.

I see what you guys did there... you're going to eat her... wait know that's opposite.

And THESE are some of the ones I spotted out and about during the week...

Um... YES Colonel Sanders and the chicken! ....and a gorilla... and a female Mr T.

Do what ya can when you're rockin' a sling, Butla!

Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox! How cute are they, and how great is this for a country guy who doesn't wanna dress up much?

If you're going to be Walt... this is a ballsy and AMAZING way to do it... but homeboy was too oblivious to hear me asking him for a good picture.

UP costumes always capture my heart...

And THIS guy.. the Drake cover... people were FREAKING OUT over him. It was simple, but fine.. I'll give props.

Metro station pole!

I've seen these on Pinterest, but like... I'm obsessed with Slurpees, so.. duh it's on here.

And me! I can never just be a female human for Halloween... and since I'm back home in DC... I went all 'Merican! [Plus... it's kinda been my theme all year...]
What I got:
-old black flats because I was at a party on a farm
-striped tights from the Halloween store $7
-white button down I already had
-red bowtie from Amazon $2
-blue blazer from H&M $14
-hat from the Halloween store because I decided last minute I wanted a huge one- $12
TOTAL: $35

The best part: I can wear every single one of these pieces again. I've been wanting to mix a bowtie into my wardrobe, the tops are a no brainer, and the socks/hat can be used for many future bar crawls! Score!

If you had an awesome costume and it didn't make it on here, it's probably because I didn't see it which means you didn't send it to me... and that sucks... but according to the world around me- it's time to move on to Christmas.. so BYE.

throwback halloween: 12 costumes I've worn

We won't have a Halloween on TBT for a longgg time, so it only makes sense I share these NOW! Many costumes throughout my years... but I so wish I had more pictures in my possession.

PS... remember... it's not nice to make fun of someone's weight adjustments.

100% homemade Jasmine costume in 1994!

Pink Ladies in 1999!

And this says 1994, but it was really like 2002... Britney Spears, duh!

The one time I bought a "slutty" costume... a racergirl... in 2006.

2007: All homemade Tinkerbell!

Also 2007: Superman... because I really liked "Superman'ing that hoe." Seriously.

2008: Snow White! Because there were 7 of my BFF's who lived together and wanted to be the dwarfs.

Also 2008: WVU football player! Because I stole some legit game pants from a friend.

2009: Sherlock Holmes, because I was really enjoying stalking the Real World DC cast.

2010: Twitter Bird, because of the MTV T[witter] J[ockey] competition!

2011: Troll! Because I Love The 90s... even though they clearly didn't only exist in the 90s.

2012: Blue meth, because Breaking Bad was my drug, duh.

And this year, I'm Uncle Sam! Once I get better pictures this weekend, I'll post them!

After looking at these I noticed one thing: I was only something slutty when I shouldn't have been- when I was way too young and way too large. Ya live and ya learn.....

Don't forget to tag me in pics of your costume so I can post em!

watch: aaron paul's breaking bad audition

ALRIGHT FINE! I'll admit it! I have a slightly unhealthy crush on Aaron Paul and I like to imagine us doi.... errr... I like to stalk him.

Once upon a time in 2008 when I probably had no idea who he was, he auditioned for the show that would make you believe he was a crazy drug dealer in real life. This is that tape.

Thank goodness they cut his hair but like... they all obviously fell in love with him right away, too! Those are pure-love giggles in the background.

Also if you haven't seen him on The Price Is Right, you obviously need to do that too.

And ya know what else we need to always admire? The pictures of his wedding. Dude is so in love, it makes me want that kinda relationship SO BAD. [Mostly with him.]

Ooh look, he loves me too!

Alright, I'll stop now. We had to celebrate his birthday!

watch: breaking bad, the romantic comedy

This probably should have been in the Hangover because I'm assuming a lot of people have already seen it, but it deserves its own post, even if I'm a little late.

It needs no further introduction.

INCREDIBLE! TWO THUMBS UP! BEST PARODY OF 2013!

Seriously... they really are having an interesting love affair. I'm surprised it took this long for someone to make such a trailer.

I can't believe it's finally back. I'm so scared to see how their love story ends.

BONUS!: 6:30pm.
There's also this here video of a dude playing the intro/theme... on METH MAKING INSTRUMENTS. If that's not a genius idea to go viral, I don't know what is anymore.

watch: breaking bad musical with middle schoolers

UMMM FYI: Breaking Bad is back in six freaking days. DOES YOUR HEART THUMP LIKE MINE WHEN I THINK ABOUT IT?!

Woah.

To celebrate that and Geek Week on YouTube, a buncha kids performed a little musical outlining the last four years of making "rock candy."

If only they coulda made little Jesse say "bitch," huh?! Guess some productions let kids be kids, kinda.

But the old man in the wheelchair zipping across the screen- Fantastic.

OMG LET IT BE SUNDAY ALREADY!

pics: behind the scenes of the most iconic tv shows

These are all just really neat, but I've picked out my favorite shots from the sets of a TON of shows.. old and current.

One of my favorite parts about Breaking Bad are the shots they get... and now we know how!

Oh hi Alyson Hannigan and three creepy body doubles on the set of Buffy.

James still looks super Dawson'y even when not filming.

Oh, just about to kill someone on Dexter.

AWWWW, the twins helped each other on the set of Full House! Or is this just the first of their fashion designing?

Can't let the cast get burnt on the set of Lost!

PAUSE. Bethenny Frankel was on Saved By The Bell?!

The final hug on Seinfeld. I guess they were just as sad as the rest of us.

And Jerry ready to take the stage.

What it looked like when bringing Bert and Ernie to life!

Don't you love seeing things behind the scenes?! It's like, my favorite... especially if the show is already over and it won't ruin anything for me. IT'S LIKE A WHOLE NEW WORLD!

watch: this breaking bad 90's style intro is perfect

I can't even get over how great this video is.. and how great a week it is for 90s videos!

Someone made an intro for Breaking Bad, as if it were a 90s show.

Seriously, if I didn't watch Breaking Bad already, I would have thought that was straight out of 1995. The music! The fades! The laughs as their credit shows! The font!

You win, GoesToEleven on YouTube. I can't wait for you to do more.

my halloween 2012 costume: breaking bad and blue crystal meth

Even with Sandy approaching on Saturday, I was ready to kick it into Halloween gear. We had bought tickets for a pub crawl on Groupon, and it was time to use them!

Plus, I really wanna show off my costume ASAP.

If you watch Breaking Bad, you're probably going to love this. If you don't, you're going to think I'm a crazy drug addict. Whatevs.

Lots of people were Heisenberg, Jesse Pinkman, Mr White, etc.... but how many people actually dressed as their blue crystal meth?! This girl did.

Of course, I had my drug makers:
High five to making me?! That just got awkward.

To be honest, my costume didn't come out nearly as good as I hoped/imagined in my head... and it also didn't stay in my budget.

I got the blue dress for $10, but had to buy a bunch of styrofoam which is a lot more expensive than I imagined. Each cube was $2.50-3.00 depending on where I bought them, and they didn't cover nearly as much space as I originally planned out. Also, some styrofoam cubes disintegrate when spray painted.

Anyway, I spray painted all of the cubes, cut them in half, and made some other smaller pieces out of other blocks I got. Some were pinned on [pins attached to the cubes with hot glue], and others were just straight up hot glued onto the dress once it was on my person. A clear, large trash bag was put on top to be the baggy, obvi.

I really wanted way more cubes/styrofoam on the dress, with virtually no dress showing, but it was uncomfortable and actually pretty heavy already. Sitting in the cab or at the bar was virtually impossible unless I wanted to hike up my dress so high my Britney showed.

Back to the fun- During our bar crawl, we ran into Los Pollos Hermano! I mean, he had never heard of the show before, but when we explained it, he was all about that being his official costume.

I'd like to think I'm the only one who was clever enough to dress as the meth, and not just hand it out, but I'm not. @ohyayitsholly on instagram did it, too... but she just had tiny little pieces all over a body suit. Her make-up trumped me, though.

After my Twitter bird costume just started to go viral, you better believe I'm gonna try and make the world see these, too. If you're a Breaking Bad fan, I'd love your help!

In the meantime, send me pictures of YOUR costumes on Facebook, Twitter, instagram [@luvelizabethany], or email! I'll do my annual Halloween on the Internet round-up on Thursday!
