the "dead" celebs are really freaky inside coffins

I'm all for doing something creative to raise money for charity. I think Alicia Keys' idea of "dying"/removing her and other celebs from all social media until a certain amount of money is raised is genius. That's what they're doing as of today in order to raise money for Keep A Child Alive and World AIDS Day.

Lady Gaga, Khloe and Kim Kardashian, Usher, Elijah Wood, Justin Timberlake, Swizz Beatz, Ryan Seacrest, Serena Williams, the Buried Life boys, Jennifer Hudson, and Kimberly Cole are just some of the dead celebs.

What I think is maybe a little too far is the whole posing in a coffin thing.

Most of them got into a coffin, in a pretty lifeless position, and made themselves literally appear dead.

[More of the pictures can be found here.] I just think it's too much. It freaks me out. Maybe it's because I've been lucky enough to only have to attend one viewing in my lifetime, but now I'm going to have nightmares of the Buried Life guys not completing their list because people didn't donate money.

... I guess that's what they want though, huh?

What are your thoughts? Am I just a big baby? I can handle it if I am.

watch: lauren conrad speaks out against fashion eff ups

Fashion F#@k-Ups: The people who think they know it all, but really know nothing about fashion... and who have friends that won't tell them they look ridiculous.

Lauren Conrad speaks out about these terrible crimes [thanks to Ryan Seacrest's show... interesting] in this PSA that seems like it's almost made for my I Spy:

Seeing her in this video is completely different than how we normally see her, I feel. She's having to bring a little acting to the table!

Also- it's seriously more evidence on why we're practically made to be BFFs. Not only is she talking to all of my I Spy victims, but the video uses my favorite new font that I've been using lately! [It's called Pussycat, FTW.]

LC- you're my hero and this is fantastic. You know that, right?

Eh, of course you do.

PS: She's also dished out even MORE deets about her upcoming show! Read on here.

celebs were in yearbooks too

My mind has been obsessing over the idea of what I would look like if I had a make-up and hair stylist lately. I think about how all the celebrities look terrible without makeup on but the most amazingly beautiful people on the red carpet. That could be me!

Anyway, to further prove my point, 10 of the craziest yearbook pictures were released last week of some of your favorite celebrities. Some of them you're not going to believe, but you should!

Probably more annoying than embarrassing.

Who woulda thunk this big guy would become such a big star?

Credibility as a weirdo: Zero. She's just your average girl next door.

The only thing that changed was the amount of drugs he smokes.... Maybe.

Is that a mullet?! And where di you get those EARS?!

That 80s hair totally screams "I'm going to be a sex symbol! Who has lots of sex!"

Don't be so angry, Renee. Dang.

From zero to hero in hottness in no time flat.

Why wasn't there ever anything called the "Mariah hair" back then?

I'm officially speechless. No wonder he wears all that craziness. I do wonder what he friends from high school think about all this, though.

For the record, my yearbook picture will not be featured anywhere if I get famous. Well, okay.. I'll be under the "used to be fat" section. Whatever.

listen: spencer pratt RAPS?!

This morning on On Air with Ryan Seacrest, they debuted Mr. Ridiculous himself's new rap song. No, I'm not lying. He really did a rap song.

He's turning his swag on with the first tweet of the day, he's President Rich, and twittin' ya back.

Okay.... Is this a joke?! Seriously... It's a joke right? It's just to promote their new NBC show "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here" right?! Please tell me it's a joke and the radio won't be playing this.

Granted, it's better than I expected it to be... But by no means is it good. And I fully agree with Ryan during this whole thing.

I mean... What. Why is he doing rap songs about Twitter and having Lambo's and turning his swag on?! That's awkward.

Give up, Spencer. Yes, we hate you because the media loves you... But we hated you before that, too.

newsflash: ryan's not gay

Everyone always says "Ryan Seacrest is so gay," and I've always said no way! He's totally just a) very metrosexual and b) very, VERY busy. How would he ever have time for a girlfriend?!

Well, somehow it looks like he's making time. He's got a GIRLFRIEND!

Name: Jasmine Waltz
Occupation: Bartender/Aspiring Actress
Spotted: All over LA and PARIS!
Together: A couple of months!

I'm super happy for him! She's cute, they look happy, and he can put the rumors to rest. I've always liked the guy. I bet he's a good boyfriend, minus the lack of time. She just better not be using him to get into show-biz. Then we'll have some problems.

americal idol goes x-rated

Ryan Seacrest is a little worried right now.

Between the radio show, E! News, and American Idol, he still has time to worry, and get things fixed. Imagine that.

This morning they realized that 1-866-IDOLS-13, AND -00 are both numbers to... Are you ready for this? Phone sex companies!!

[They have a top 13 this year.. For the first time ever. Voting starts tonight.]

Well that's great. Kids call to vote in for their favorite and.. What's that? Press 1 for ____? Okay!

This would happen to them, though. Family show, hugely popular, people have to call in, and 13 is a terribly unlucky number.. It only makes sense!

Let's hope they get it figured out soon! AND let's hope lucky #13 isn't someone I like. [There's not many of them, but my luck would say that it's my favorite... Whoever that may be.]

because you want to know: the grammy's

As always, I'm sure you've been on the edge of your seat just WAITING to hear what I have to say about the event of the weekend.

No, I don't mean Chris beating Rihanna. I already told you about that. I mean the Grammy's.

First of all, if you didn't tune into E! Network to see Seacrest on the red carpet, you missed out on a show. The man must have been drinking, or just not slept in a week, because he was clearly in outer space. He kept asking really uncomfortable questions to people, but seemed so disconnected. I don't know.. It was weird.

I don't know if this is the best example of it, but here he is with Jennifer Hudson.. Who he used to talk to regularly on American Idol:

And yes, that's Punk. Her fiance. Or "baby" as Ryan thought. Weird.

Moving on... Whitney's big "comeback." Did she do it? My opinion: No. However, Britney didn't do it the first time either. She needed a second chance, and she nailed it then. So I'm sure no one is giving up on Whitney yet. They can't. She was just a little cracked out still last night.. No big deal.

PLUS, she DID sing at the Clive Davis Pre-Grammy party the night before, and sounded pretty good. Not as mind blowing as we're used to.. But she's still got some pipes. [I know, it's a terrible video.. Deal with it. She starts singing around 2 minutes.]

The sound was killin' me. During so many performances, the mic was clearly not rigged up to the broadcast or something, because it sounded like a live concert being recorded on someones video camera. It was terrible, and made amazing singers like Carrie Underwood sound bad.

But, she IS Carrie Underwood, so even though the sound wasn't working, she still sounded pretty good.. And as always, looked amazing.

Honestly though.. Overall, the performances really disappointed me. Yeah, maybe Rihanna and GF-Beater [:(] could have helped, but I just wasn't impressed overall.

For example... Why was one of the most hyped up duets MILEY and TAYLOR?!?! Neither of them are really amazing singers, and they're even worse live. There's just a lot more people out there who could have filled their spot.

And SPEAKING OF DUETS!!! Stevie Wonder performed. That's always something anyone is going to look forward to. But... Who'd they pair him with?! The JONAS BROTHERS!!!

Seriously, I'm all about combining generations and things like that... But this is not okay. Stevie is a legend. The JoBros are not.. No matter what any teeny bopper may say. [And I'm allowed to say this because I, too, was a teeny bopper growing up. Big time.] I mean yeah, it sounded okay and everything... But c'mon. This is like a sin or something! And didn't Stevie used to say he wouldn't be a part of such things?!

A good example of combining generations DID happen last night, though. Some of the Four Tops combined with Jamie Foxx and Neyo to do a montage of a songs.. And it was FABULOUS! Jamie and Neyo fit RIGHT in swagger-wise, and they're amazing singers. It just fit. You could feel the chemistry, and how they really knew this was something special for everyone.

Speaking of swagger, you KNOW Kanye had to be up on that stage sometime. And of course TI, Jay Z, Lil Wayne, and the ever so PREGO MIA. It started off black and white which was interesting, but it was a good performace.. I won't even lie.

Anddd speaking of TI.. He was also on stage with Justin Timberlake (replacing either Chris or Rihanna's peformance) for Dead and Gone. Good stuff, for sure.

On top of that, I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but there wasn't a whole lot worthy of sharing. Coldplay peformed, which a lot of people may like actually.. But I still haven't figured out the fascination in them. U2 opened the show. Album of the year winners Alison Krauss and Robert Plant ALSO performed.. But it still left the question of "Why'd they win?"

And, of course, Katy Perry told us all one more time, that she did in fact kiss a girl.. And yes, she liked the taste of her cherry chapstick.

Weird performance.

I know I'm forgetting plenty, but thanks to my computer crashing earlier today, I lost all of my notes, so these will have to do.

As usual, I love hearing what everyone had to say, and what you noticed that maybe I didn't, so please share!!

Overall though.. I just wasn't impressed this year. I think they could have been a lot better, and made some better decisions not only about performances, but about the awards too.

YAY for Jennifer Hudson though!!!

take these celebrities home to mom

Are you sick of finding the bad guys? Are you scared of bringing home your girl because she's a little more "scandalous" than Mom may like? Well, you might want to take a look at these people then, because they are the

Top 10 Celebrities To Take Home To Mom

10. Blake Lively
If Mom can look right past all of the racy ads for "Gossip Girl" last year, this girl is perfect to bring home. She always looks great, without showing too much off, and always has a smile on her face. People say she is one of the nicest celebrities to talk to on the red carpet, so Mom will have to agree. Besides, if she does have a problem with ads, just remind her that Serena is the character that cleaned up her act.

9. Jamie Foxx
There's nothin' like a good, multi-talented guy to bring home to Mom. Especially if he can break the ice and have everyone laughing right away. When you were told to raise your standards, I don't think anyone would expect you to raise them this high.. The man is unstoppable in every type of business! Sure he may have a few dirty jokes up his sleeve, too, but everyone will be too focused on his ability to do ANYTHING in the world to care.

8. Taylor Swift
If your mom wants you with a little princess, Taylor is your girl. She's sure to come home and make everyone feel warm and fuzzy inside. She is certainly a wholesome young lady, and never shows off any of her goodies. And when Mom asks what she does for a living, just tell her she writes her own songs. Then make sure you throw in the fact that they're pretty much guaranteed to hit #1 on several different charts. She'll get the Mommy stamp of approval in no time.

7. Ryan Gosling
If your mom has seen "The Notebook," he's in. No matter what. No questions asked. The perfect man for you. And just in case Mama needed any more convincing, make sure she gets a good look at his adorable face, and infatuation with you. [Assuming he feels the same way about you as he does/did Rachel McAdams.] So far, he's done no wrong.. And he won't with you either.

6. Carrie Underwood
Talk about someone who always looks absolutely perfect every day of her life. Wait nevermind. Every SECOND of her life. When she walks through the door she'll take Mom, and everyone's, breath away. Then on Christmas when she sings carols, everyone in the room will probably melt and watch in awe. Plus, she's confident, but knows where she comes from, which is always a plus. You can't have Miss I-Know-I'm-Great coming home with you.

5. Ryan Seacrest
If Mama Dearest wants you to be with Mr. Money, Mr. Talented, Mr. Nice, Mr. Family, or Mr. Funny, you don't have to settle with just one. You can have all of these Mr's in one package! He's got his own radio show that's funny, he's the host of American Idol AND E! News, he's super close with his mom, and, well, I'm thinking he makes a good amount of money. Did I mention he's been on the lookout for a nice lady to tag along with him while he travels all over the country for his jobs.. Daily..? It'd be a fun ride, and Mom would probably want to come too.

4. Kate Hudson
Does your mom like the girl next door type? Well, Kate might be perfect for you, then. Even though she's a huge A-list star and acts in TONS of movies, she's not one to show off. [Not that she has a whole lot to show, if you get what I'm saying...] Mom will catch her spunkiness, but in a good way. They'll be best friends in no time. Plus, she plays in all sorts of love stories that always seem to work out in the end, so why not make her movies a reality?

3. Zac Efron
Make sure he watches his cheeks when he walks in, because they just might get pinched with the look he's got. He's a hottie to many, but to a lot of moms, the idea of being a Disney star couldn't be better for their little girl. Mr. High School is certainly a big kid now, and you know that, but Mom will never know.

2. Reese Witherspoon
Even though Mom might not like the idea of bringing home someone who already has a couple kids, let them get to know each other and I'm sure everything will be perfectly fine. She's already proven she can be faithful in relationships, and she seems to be a great mom. And come to think of it, if things do work out, all of her awards will really make for some great decoration throughout your house.

1. Shemar Moore
When you walk in holding his hand, and he's smiling, Mom will melt right into his hands too. Then he'll tell her about his relationship with his mother, and she'll trust him with everything she's got. He's one of the most sincere men out there [All you have to do is watch a Tyler Perry movie or two to prove it] and he's got a great sense of humor too. If you don't believe me, just watch him on Ellen. And he, like Ryan Seacrest, is out lookin' for a woman. So, uh, Shemar baby! I'm right here!

Now, I understand maybe some of these people aren't exactly available at the moment.. But I don't see any of them getting married into a super successful relationship anytime soon, either.

However, there are 2 people that need to be on this list. So, I will consider them the 2 people that are worth becoming a homewrecker for..

Ellen DeGeneres
Well, good news here is, girls can take her home. Or, if you want to play pretend, guys can take her home too! She's funny, witty, smart, has a People's Choice Award winning talk show, knows everyone in Hollywood, and, most importantly, knows how to dance. I've yet to meet anyone who is anti-Ellen, and I don't think any mom would be either. [That is, of course, unless you're surprising her with your new-found sexual preference. Woops.] It's just a shame [well, actually I'm pretty happy for her, but still...] that she's married to her soulmate, Portia.

Will Smith
Does the guy need ANY explanation?! He's the biggest money-maker in Hollywood, first of all. He's attractive, multi-talented, and a fantastic father and husband. Now it's just a matter of making him YOUR husband. Mom won't need to give you the official stamp of approval for this one. It's a given. I mean seriously, who COULDN'T love the Fresh Prince?!

So there ya have it. 12 celebs that are perfect to be sitting right next to you at the family reunion dinner table. Now it's just a matter of making it happen.

Until next Thursday! [Kinda..]

busiest man alive

Who says Ryan Seacrest can't add one more job to his resume/current plate?

He can now call himself a producer of a broadcast channel.

He's producing a show, called "Momma's Boy" on NBC, which is a combination of "The Bachelor" and let's say a lot of New York moms. [By New York I mean the VH1 psycho, not the state.]

It's going to be a bunch of men who are searching for the one but have to deal with Mom and her approval with everything. And yes, the moms WILL be living in a house with their sons, and deciding which females are best for them.

Honestly, I think this is going to be great. Seacrest is a genius. This is something that hasn't really been done, and I think it's going to be hilarious. Successful in the sense of finding true love? Eh, probably not, but what reality love show is these days?!

I still want to be you, Ryan, but I just don't know how you do it. I'm amazed.

love,
elizabethany

PS: If you want to be on the show, I think they're still accepting applications. Send your resume, two photos of you and your mom, a paragraph about ya'lls relationship, and your full name, contact info, and MySpace or Facebook page links to nbcdating6@gmail.com. Good luck! :)

woops

Welp. Guess their plan didn't work out as well as they had hoped..

The 60th Annual Emmy Awards' reality show cohosts are getting an interesting set of reviews..

..none of which, are very great.

Not sure if any of you guys saw it, but the opening was pretty rough. They literally just stood there and talked.. over top of each other.. and none of it was funny..

And all the while, little Vicky's Secret model Heidi Klum looked just as out of place as we thought she might ahead of time.. standing there in silence and confusion.

Apparently, when 5 people get together it's impossible.. that's what Jeff Probst said anyways. Since they couldn't come to an agreement, they just went with nothing... cuz that always seems like a good idea, right?

Entourage's Jeremy Piven even poked fun after winning his award for best supporting actor.. he said he should just stand up there for 12 minutes and talk... but nevermind, that's what the opening was.

The 5 hosts were picked because of their nominations into a brand new category of best host of a reality show. We all know reality is certainly taking over, so it's a great category. Probst ("Survivor") ended up winning. [I personally think he's definitely got a great show and a lot of experience so I'm not mad.. but we all know how much I love me some Seacrest..]

So apparently it needs to be said that reality tv needs to take a step back and stop taking all the jobs from the actors.. but don't kill the messenger.. I didn't say it.

back together again

Looks like Kellie Pickler and Ryan Seacrest are going to be sharing a stage once again!
[Remember, she was the ditsy blonde country girl on American Idol Season 5..]
This time, Dick Clark will be with them too!! [Well, I guess technically, THEY'LL be with HIM..]

The three will all be a part of "Dick Clark's Rockin New Year's Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2009" on ABC. Kellie will assume her position as a Times Square correspondent.

I wasn't too fond of her on Idol, to be honest. But we all know how I feel about Idols doing big things.. I LOVE IT!!

So Kellie, good luck! Don't do anything stupid! [OK, maybe you should.. it's more entertaining that way!] and have fun with Ryan and all those other crazy people in Times Square! :)
