The lack of internet in my home and Dooms Day being 5 days away [graduation] it's hard to update as usual.

Here are some things that are definitely worth your time, but not mine when it comes to blogging about it. [Just kidding, duh. I WISH I had the time, but I don't.]

celebrity lookalikes

E! Online just posted an article about celebrities that look alike, and honestly, they're all either funny, or people who I think are the same person sometimes. So I will share with you.

They also had Heather Mills, Michael Vick, and I think one of the current ones looks a little like Cheryl Burke... But anyways...]

Today I had another revelation. Friend, classmate, fellow Britney fan, and blogger John Thrasher IS Adam Lambert from American Idol.

because you want to know: the oscars

So, last night were the Oscars... Duh. And I'm sure you've been on the edge of your seat waiting to see what I thought about it all. [By all, I definitely mean the parts I cared about.. Good and bad.]

Don't worry. I'm here now.

First up: Hugh Jackman- The host. A lot of people, including me, were wondering why he was picked as the host... Assuming it was not going to be good. Wow were we fooled.

First of all, the opening act was hilarious. I have never seen any of the movies that were all over this awards show, but I still laughed. And that's how you KNOW it was funny.

He blamed the props on the recession saying they didn't want to pay for an opening act, but he insisted on creating them in his home the night before. And this is what he came up with:



The dancing is what puts the cherry on the sundae, AND the icing on the cake. So great.

And if that wasn't enough when it came to him, he was also a major part of the "musicals are back" performance that everyone had been talking about all week and on the red carpet.

The idea was perfect. They sang songs from TONS of musicals all the way from Singing in the Rain to the new Mama Mia. They even had two people from the cast of Mama Mia, and Zack Efron and Vanessa Hudgins for a little High School Musical Action. They were all dressed up like showgirls and guys. It was great.

It was great, minus one detail anyways. Beyonce was the co-star to Hugh. Ugh. They totally could have picked someone better. But of course, here she comes down the stairs in her typical leotard ensemble. Imagine that.



It's amazing.. But it could have been PERFECT. Had someone else been picked. Who? I don't know. Just someone else.

Speaking of annoying people, though... Brad and Angelina were in full snob-mode as usual. At least Seacrest was able to get an interview this time.. If that's what you want to call it. It was more like a "Yeah we're here. Yes we're hott. Now leave us alone." Even Hugh made a joke about having to mention them a certain amount of times. He hit the nail on the head. And here I am helping them out by mentioning them again. Fabulous.

They kept giving out the awards by bringing out five previous winners of the award. Now, again, I think this is a great idea. The execution wasn't there. It took WAY too long to get to the point [who won the award], and I feel like the people who did come back weren't always people who we remember as AMAZING actors. For example-- Whoopi Goldberg.

There were some funny presenters, though. Real funny ones. Off the top of my head, I remember 2. Tina Fey/Steve Martin, and Ben Stiller/Natalie Portman. Ben Stiller takes the cake when it comes to one person being absolutely hilarious. [Besides Jackman, duh.]





If you don't think it's funny, maybe you haven't seen this.

As for accepting the awards, I'll stay on the funny side for a second. The winner of the Best Animated Short was Kunio Kato. And if you're worried you don't know how to say his name, don't feel bad. He didn't know how to say anything but "Sank You Beddy Much" in English. And make sure you keep your ears open for the highlight of the whole speech. You can't miss it.



That wins best speech of the night, period. But runner-up was definitely when Heath Ledger won for Best Supporting Actor. His family got up and expressed their sorrows and thanks for everything. It was heartbreaking.



Really, that's all worth mentioning that I can think of. Penelope Cruz's speech was pretty emotional, too. But here are some winners:

Raise your hand if you're Team Angelina.

K, keep it raised. And listen to what I'm about to tell you.

Lil Miss Innocent "I Didn't End Brad's Marriage," isn't so innocent. Surprise surprise.

Her ex-bodyguard is about to put out a tell-all book about her, since he didn't have to sign a confidentiality agreement, and is telling all about her antics.

Those antics include cheating on Brad with a "famous female pop star," and catching her and Brad in their dressing room, seducing him with sex toys, paddles and whips and dressing up in latex, just 3 weeks into taping.

Ohh. Wait. Angie... I thought you said it slowly developed? I thought it happened AFTER him and Jenn's wedding was already dissolving.

Oh.. Not true? Yeah. Didn't think so. And now all of you people who had your hands up, better have put them down by now.

I don't think there's any question about how I feel about her and this topic. But I can't say this was a surprise. I just can't wait 'til it comes out and it's proven. That'll be a beautiful day.

Ladies- If you could make your body from an array of parts from different celebrities, what from whom would you use?
Fellas- Whose body parts would you want your lady to have?

Well, apparently the NY Post knows the answer.. Or answers, if you will.

The lips women want are, can you believe it?!.. Angelina Jolie!! Imagine that.

And the boobs women desire aren't a huge surprise either. Duh-Duh-Dunnn.. Jessica Simpson!

Okay, nothing you haven't heard before. But! The nose. Whose nose would you want in all of Hollywood?! They say Jessica's little sister Ashlee. Ya know, the one who got a nose job! So it's totally fake, and I consider it cheating, but fine.

But, they end there! What a tease. I mean whose butt do we all want? [J. Lo's please.] Whose legs? [Maybe Beyonce's?! But don't tell anyone I said that..] Abs?! [I vote Jessica Alba.. Before OR after the baby!] What would you want?!

Do guys ever look at celebs and wish they had their nose, or is this a default with women?! Hmmm.. I bet you do, secretly.

Today I bring to you, in honor of Election Week,

The Top 10 Super Celebrities
[All those who are mighty powerful in influencing, helping, and giving to others.]

10th: Diddy
Okay, I know what most of you are thinking. Diddy? Really? Well, yes, really. I know he's a cocky you know what, but he does have a LOT of power when it comes to influencing people, whether we like it or admit it or not. He's also very involved (thought it may be an annoying involved, he's still involved) in the elections, getting people to vote, and keeping young people off the streets in bad areas. He does things in crazy, off the wall ways.. but it works. And though I don't have an amount of money he dishes to others on the regular, he is still all over the internet telling you to vote. And buy Bad Boy albums.. :-P

9th: Madonna

One word: Kabbalah. Yea, I know, she hasn't exactly convinced a lot of us normal people to get into this, but a whole lot of celebrities are following in her footsteps. But don't worry, that's not the only reason I put her on this list. She has helped over 250,000 kids in Malawi by funding 7 orphanages across the country. She even adopted one. Plus! She's Madonna. That's enough for super-celebrityism.


8th: George Clooney
He's a member of the United Way, co-founder of Not On Our Watch (which helps Darfur), and is a UN Messenger of Peace. Need I say more? He has dedicated himself to helping to solve the situation in Darfur. Plus, he does little things here and there. He helps others. He donated thousands during the Writers' Strike last year. If that's not giving enough, you can always look at his appearance, and how he could probably sway any female's opinions. :-P And.. if you are able to make Ellen dedicate a whole season of her show to getting YOU on it.. I'd have to say you're something special.

7th: Michael Jordan

Probably someone you're not expecting to see on such a list these days, figuring he hasn't been around much lately, or so we think. He's actually very involved with helping out charities like Boys and Girls Clubs Across America and the Special Olympics. So involved, that he donates over $5 million a year! Not to mention he's still one of the best basketball players of all time.. Or so we recognize him as. When we see him in advertisements etc., people get excited. Oh and do I need to mention his shoes and how many people have them?! He's never going to be forgotten, and he's still helping out.. Long after retirement.


6th: Lance Armstrong

All I should have to say is "yellow LiveStrong bracelets" and you should get it. They were a HUGE trend when they first came out, and they're still making money. They have raised over $60 million for his foundation! I feel like he's one of those silent influencers. He's not in your face like lets say.. Diddy.. But he's out there. He's a tremendous athlete who's helping people, and EVERYONE likes him. Seriously. Could you possibly say you don't like him? Doubtful.

5th: Bono

This guy was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize!! Seriously, he's amazing. He's out to support helping the nations in Africa by providing them with debt relief. He's trying to get help for those with HIV/AIDS and stop it from spreading. He was even Time Magazine's Person of the Year once. And again, he's not in your face.. But I'm sure it's no surprise to you that he's a great person.


4th: Ellen DeGeneres
I've said it before, but she doesn't get enough credit for the things she does. Ellen is constantly raising money on her show for different causes. For example- on every show last month, she dunked someone, which raised 10,000$ for her breast cancer foundation, Ellen for the Cure. This is only ONE example of things she does to help. She also is [obviously] very outspoken for equal rights for all, most especially homosexual couples. Her push to vote no on Proposition 8 was huge, and though unfortunately it failed, she had others believing in it, as well as fellow celebs pitching in to help out, too. She does what she does for other people, not herself.. And just wants you to Laugh, Dance, and Vote/Cure.

3rd: Angelina Jolie

No big surprise here, I'm sure. The lady is the Goodwill Ambassador for the UN, not to mention the mom of like 32987 kids, 32985 of them adopted from foreign countries. In the past year, her and Brad Pitt have donated over $8 million to their foundation, which helps out various charities. She's always overseas visiting children in need, donating money here and there, and helping out wherever she can. Not to mention she's one of the "hottest" celebrities out there right now.. She can reel in anyone. She might as well run for President.............


Tie for 1st: Barack Obama
Here is why he can't stand alone in first place-- Though he is CLEARLY the most influential person in America right now, he is going to be the President of this country.. And it's halfway weird to call him a celebrity, even though he is. But he has been able to bring this country together (well, most of us) in a way that has never been done for our generation. He has gotten younger people involved in politics and wanting to save this country from further disaster. He has begun another chapter in taking equality to an even further step down the road. He single-handedly (again, kinda single-handedly.. I'm sure he had some help :-P) created a day that will FOREVER go down in history and shown people that anything is possible. He has done it by promoting hope and yes... He DID it.

Tie for 1st: Oprah Winfrey

This is a given. The woman donates over 50 million$ a year to SEVERAL charities. She's the face of "talk-show host." She has her own magazine. She helps people achieve their wildest dreams. She gives and gives and gives. (She certainly has the money for it, though! Don't worry!) People listen to her. They do what she tells them to do. She picks out books she thinks are good, and people buy them. She says to support a cause or believe in something, and people do it. She's been around for forever fighting racial problems and more.. And she's not stopping any time soon.

change of heart

So Angelina and Brad have been all "we're not getting married until EVERYONE can" and marriage is "just a piece of paper" since they have been together. They even admit they did it a little backwards and had kids first, but they don't say it's a bad thing. People rush into marriage just to have a kid, according to them.

Well nowww, they're saying they might get married.. Ya know, for the kids.

"Usually people fall in love and everything revolves around the ritual of marriage, children are an afterthought. We did everything backwards. But sooner or later it will be the kids who ask us [to get married]. You know, they see films and start asking questions. Such as, 'Why are Shrek and Fiona married and you're not?'"

Hmm. I think that's great and all that they're wanting to get married, and that they claim it's for the kids.. But I'm pretty sure it should have happened already. Really? It's just a piece of paper? Yea, maybe, but why not just get married? What are you worried about? I mean, they jumped into the relationship real fast. Had twins pretty quickly. Why not keep the process moving? I don't know.. It just seems weird to me.

Oh, A also claims she's going to be slowing down her workload.. and maybe even quitting! She says her kids are her main priority and that reality is more exciting and adventurous for her now.. that she doesn't need the movies. She even said she has a lot less ambition than she used to!

wait no more

Everyone has been anticipating the "intimate" photos of Angelina Jolie that W Magazine has been promoting for quite some time.

The magazine worked with Jolie and her husband Mr. Brad Pitt to produce "One Week: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie" which is finally out.


The once hottest guy on the planet (I say not any longer because I'm team Aniston. But I also think that the world changed their mind as well... probably just because there are other hotties running around Hollywood now) gave the magazine pictures that he had of his wife. The combination of these photos and the story of their lives within one week is supposed to show the world how they're a "normal" family.

OK, let's be honest. I hardly think they are anywhere near normal. And I'm kinda disappointed with the "intimacy" I see. I thought they'd be the kind of pictures where you hold your arm out or something. They still look VERY professionally done. Some of these pictures are nice to see, though. I feel like I only see her looking very stiff.

A lot of the pictures are on W's website, but to get all of them, we gotta head to the newsstands. :(

Nice job building up lots of anticipation, W Magazine!

somewhat unbelievable

Ever think about how old different celebs are? I feel like a lot of times they're doing things that are older/younger than their age. For example, older people are going out and partying all crazy, or younger ones are growing up fast, getting married, having kids, etc. But because they have an image of whatever age, they stay that age forever it seems. Check out some examples.. and compare them to other celebs their age..

Angelina Jolie vs. Tara Reid--> 33 y/o


Yea, they're the same age. And though I think they somewhat look the same age-wise, they sure don't act it. Angelina is still very much a sex symbol for younger people, but she's married, and has what, 100 kids by now? She's adopted, traveled around the world, made tons of HUGE movies. She's a grown woman. Tara on the other hand.. yes, still a hottie, but is still known for her partying, being scandalous, and doing a little less serious of movies/tv shows.

Scarlett Johansson vs. Lindsay Lohan--> 24 y/o


Both have sweet abbreviated names.. but ScarJo acts quite a bit older than our once sweet, young, straight Parent Trap star LiLo. Scarlett just got married last week to Ryan Reynolds.. around the same time that Lindsay "came out." Scarlett is trying to be the next Hollywood STARlet, which LiLo is trying to live the college life she never had. The worst part is about this one, I don't think I can say that they are BOTH "hott" right now.. BUT.. as terrible as this is, I feel like Lindsay lives like a 24 year old more than Mrs. Johansson-Reynolds does.

Howard Stern vs. Denzel Washington--> 54 y/o

I feel like I don't need to explain anything on this one. Even though Mr. Nasty himself got married this past weekend, I don't know that we can say he's on the same level as Mr. Washington. Denzel has won 2 Academy Awards and 3 Golden Globes. Howard Stern has won.. uh.. yea, I don't know. They're the prime example of classy vs. raunchy, and that is all I need or can say.
