on the racks: people's most beautiful people

It's time for People's annual "Most Beautiful People" issue!

This year's winner isss....

Jennifer Lopez! [I can't even be mad about this. She is freaking beautiful.. And maybe looking better than ever in these pictures.]

As much as she may have complained about American Idol not being her ultimate comeback move, she better look again. She's back and beautiful because of that show.

Still, in the article she talks about being a mom and how that look makes her feel the best.
"That's when I'm my happiest. Just being able to touch my face and rub my eyes and put my fingers in my hair and not having to worry about messing it up. It's so much better."

WORD, girl. I agree on that part.

She also had something to say about her "diva" reputation:
"I kind of like it. We've kind of owned it now. But I certainly don't like and I've never been a person who has what they call 'diva behavior,' which is something they tried to pin on me for a long time."

Yeah... I don't know if I believe you, but we'll go with it!

Check out some of the other beautiful People:

"You’re a human being, you live once and life is wonderful, so eat the damn red velvet cupcake."
-Emma Stone

"I identify as a comedy writer, so to get compliments on appearance, that's the nicest compliment – to be shallow!"
-Mindy Kaling

"One of the greatest luxuries I am afforded is a solid eight hours every once in a while!"
-Jennifer Hudson

"There's no way to hide them as much as you want to bandage your boobs down. Now I can make my way in and out of parking tickets: Show the girls and give a wink!"
-Jessica Simpson

"I don't want anybody thinking it's easy. It does take time and it's hard work. HDTV wide-screen is nobody's friend!"
-Jennifer Lopez

"I think it's important to remember to live in the moment and enjoy every day to the fullest."
-Zac Efron

"We're trying to nationalize Sexy. Sort of like Medicare."
-Ryan Reynolds

"My mother always said, 'Be original!' but I didn't understand until I changed to be like everyone else."
-Sandra Bullock

I can't help but notice that a lot of these people were pictured in magazines for being beautiful in the 90s... YAY! I also can't disagree with any of these choice. People- you did good. Real good.

vh1 reality strikes again with a parenting show

VH1 is supposed to be turning their ways ever since the crazy contestant on the Megan millionaire show.

So what are they doing now?! Making a reality show about turning unprepared men into good fathers.

I imagine this being Tool Academy, with the addition of some kids in the picture. [Even though I'm sure 75% of the tools do have kids to go along with their crazy baby mamas who put them on the show in the first place.]

To make my claim even more probable: It's going to be called "Dad Camp."
"In a lot of ways, men aren't what they used to be. We've made it so easy for men to walk away from their responsibilities. These guys still want to hang with their buddies, and it's time for them to man-up and take responsibility."
-Executive Producer JD Roth

Hold on... So dads can't hang with their friends, or they can't act like complete d-bags?! There's a difference, VH1 peeps.
"We've been evolving for a while now, and some of the shows are aspirational, but we're not trying to be the Hallmark Channel, but we are trying to tap all the different moods in pop culture."
-VH1 Programming Head Jeff Olde

Their other "aspirational" shows include some that will feature Jessica Simpson and Fantasia.........

This should be interesting. I probably will watch an episode or two, just to say "yep, another one bites the dust."

At least they're branching off and finding new characters to join their reality TV cult.

morning hangover 100909

Good mornin, y'all! :) It's Thirsty Thursday! Let's make time go a little faster so we can make it to happy hour tonight, shall we?

  • Here are 22 things that men must teach their sons about women and relationships such as "your legs don't really need to be open that wide."
  • Why try and be "Miss USA" when you can be named Miss Plastic- the girl with the best fake boobs.
  • The 5 stages of a relationship: So accurate and funny.
  • Imagine: The NFL coaches as the characters from The Office.
  • Bonus: The Big East Teams as TV shows. [The Mountaineers= SNL because "For some reason you always expect it to be great, but many times it just disappoints. But when a good host is on, or when a new Digital Short is made, the show could be legendary." Unfortunately, I agree.]
  • Headline: Bag of Cocaine Shot Out of Suspect's Butt
  • The 15 biggest internet jackasses of all time... And yes, Kanye is included.
  • Not sure who comes up with things like this, but it's an entire blog devoted to celebs with manboobs.
  • An even better website: Awkward boners caught on camera.
  • Biggest. Puppet. Ever. in "The Berlin Reunion"
  • The table has turned for the Simpson sisters... Now Jessica is the 3rd wheel.
  • For some awful reason, they're making doggy lingerie nowadays.
  • Want to blow on your phone and magically have girls' dresses fly up in the wind? There's an app for that.

  • Do you laugh at ridiculous audition clips from American Idol and such?! Check out homeboy on So You Think You Can Dance

  • The best way to see which fast food restaurant is best: Have your mascots do a dance-off.

The end! Enjoy your day everyone!

happy holidays!

Happy 4/20, my friends! Are you celebrating today?

Well, the people at Family Guy and Donald Faison/Funny or Die are! By creating hilarious videos that are relevant to today. [And totally not suitable for work...]

I'm really not a fan of the show, I must be honest... But that got me laughin'.

"We're rappers and this s#*% will make us legit!" So funny. So random, too, but that's why it works. I'm just wondering why Jessica Simpson has tweeted about this video a million times today. Hmmm... Not so innocent, eh!?

Enjoy your day! "Hug a Stoner Day," that is.

what the h

We have all seen it happen MILLIONS of times.. Celebs doing things, most specifically to their appearance, that we just want to say "What the h?!" to.

These two people, are perfect examples.

We've said it a LOT recently about Jessica Simpson.. And it's not changing.

Honestly, her extra padding she's got lately, isn't a good look. Some people can have thickness. I'm all about it. But on her, it's not okay. Her boobs are gigantic, in a nasty way. And Romo does NOT look happy to be with her. At all.

Onto Mel Gibson. What the h?!

Why does he have this goin' on?! Is it for KFC? Is he tryin' to be the Colonel? I hope he has SOME excuse.

I might as well throw this one out there too. Diana Ross.. One word: Deodorant.

Sometimes these people amaze me. Actually... I lied. You celebs always do.

join the club

Remember when I made a quick mention about Jessica Simpson's newest curves?!

Well, obviously, I wasn't the only one making mention of the look she suddenly had. Everyone has been talking about it.

And now, everyone's stepping up to defend her. Seriously, it's like they're stepping up and declaring their candidate they wish to endorse.

First it was her lil sis, Ashlee. No surprise here. She just doesn't want people picking on her big sis. Then Kim Kardashian got into the mix saying women shouldn't have to worry about their curves, and they're beautiful. [Of course she'd say that.. Her butt is giganto and carrying at least 20 different curves of cottage cheese inside of it.] THEN Heidi Klum sent her love and declaration that all women are pretty in their own skin.

Even at that point, it was a little much, and I was sick of it popping up on my screen that someone else was defending poor Jess.

But NOW... Ex-Newlywed Nick Lachey is showing Jess some support!

"I hope she's happy, whatever size she comes in. I wish her nothing but the best. I can't believe it's this big of a story and people are making such a huge deal about it. I'm never ceased to be amazed by people's reaction to things."

Okay, first of all, the reason this is getting blown out of proportion is because everyone feels the need to defend her, without her doing it herself. I mean really, is all of Hollywood going to protest us talking about her and dress like her? Because that won't be pretty.

Second.. Nick.. Really? You probably haven't talked to her in years. You have an awesome relationship it seems. And her own boyfried hasn't even said anything yet. Was this really necessary? Probably not.

This is nonsense. And I'm not backing down. Jessica, you looked terrible in that outfit. I'm sorry to say it, but you either need to get your whole act together, or fire your stylist. Just blame it on the economy.

PS: UPDATE!!! Carmen Electra has ALSO stepped up, along with a lot of people on the red carpet for the "Push" premiere, to support Miss New Curves. She says "she's a gorgeous girl. A lot of women would kill for her curves." This is getting annoying.

what happened?!

Remember little Miss Jessica Simpson when she was wearing those Daisy Dukes? At the time, I thought she was a little too skinny, but now, I guess Tony Romo is making her feel good enough about herself that she's not afraid to put a little more meat on her bones.

Here's the thing.. A lot of you might be saying what lil sis Ashlee is saying.. "All women come in different shapes, sizes, and forms." I'm fully aware of this. And I'm not saying that she's FAT by any means.. All I'm saying is, she doesn't look good.

It could totally be this outfit she has on, or the fact that for some reason she looks a good 10 years older than she did the last time I saw a picture of her, but she needs some sort of fixing. Anything and everything that is going wrong in this picture needs to be fixed.

Seriously! She looks like a young grandma. I can't believe anyone let her PERFORM looking like this! We're not living in the 70s, and FUPAs are NOT cool!

Sorry, Jess.. I think you're beautiful.. But this is a bad look. Very bad.

don't call it a comeback

It's the first Top 10 Thursday of 2008, so it's only fitting that this chart has something to do with the year that just recently came to an end.

When I look back on 2008 in an "entertainment" kind of way, all I can think of is all of the comebacks that happened throughout the year. It wasn't just in the music world.. But old TV shows were back and alive again.. Sports were really making a comeback that they had hoped for, and things that we thought were buried alive and a thing of the past suddenly became a thing of the present again.

So, today, I look back on the year and present to you
The 10+1 and an Honorable Mention [AND an A for effort category] Comeback Kids of 2008

A's for Effort: Backstreet Boys, Jessica Simpson, Brandy

All of these people certainly tried to make a comeback, but didn't get too far with it.. And maybe have some time to go. The Backstreet Boys went on a tour overseas, and released a song that didn't make it very far. They did, however, perform on the finale of TRL, which may have helped.. A little? Jessica Simpson did her best to come back into the music world by going country. Though her one single "Come On Over" did pretty well, ratings for her performances did not. Who knows if we'll keep hearing much more, unless Mr. Romo uses his powers, somehow. [After all, she is more known for being his bad luck than a music artist.] Brandy just released a new album [the first in 4 years] and debuted at #15, as well as released 2 singles, one of which [Right Here (Departed)] reached #1.

Honorable Mention: Travis Barker
The Blink-182 naked drummer hadn't been in the limelight since the band faded out in 2005. Then he collaborated with DJ AM. Though many people really recognized his comeback at the VMA's in September, they really paid attention after their plane crash less than 2 weeks later. Though it was something tragic that really got everyone to look his way, they're back to rooting for him whole-heartedly.

10+1: Boy Bands
Figuring I mention 2 boy bands that made a comeback this year in this list, you have to give credit to the whole idea in general, also. NKOTB is back, and BSB is trying to.. But that's not all. We welcomed Day26 into the world, and now the R&B group Brutha is on the scene as well. The JoBros are the biggest thing to happen to Disney since Miley Cyrus, and Boyzone, a UK boy band, is said to have one of the biggest comebacks of the year throughout the internet. They're baaa-aaackkk.

10. 90210
The show came back revamped for the first time since the original ended in 2000. It helped create individual comebacks for people like Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth, AND brought Degrassi's Shenae Grimes and Weeds' Tristan Wilds into a bigger and brighter spotlight. Though the ratings aren't as high as everyone had hoped, it's getting about 3.4 million viewers weekly, and was nominated for "Favorite New Drama" at the People's Choice Awards.

9. Kid Rock
It's been about 7 years since Kid Rock came out with a song or album that really did anything for his credibility, but with the release of "All Summer Long," he was back in the spotlight.. And not just in one "world." The single played on virtually all types of radio stations from country, to rock, to Top 40/Pop stations. And even though the summer is long over, chances are you'll still hear it every day. He even performed with Lil Wayne on the CMA's as well as the VMA's, and is set to perform at this year's Grammy Awards.

8. The Miami Dolphins
The team that ALMOST made history by being the first team to go 0-16 in the NFL, suddenly isn't so bad. At the end of last season, Bill Parcells stepped in, kicked everyone out, and transformed the franchise. They finished this season 11-5 and with the AFC East title, something they haven't had since 2000.

7. Sex and the City
It had been about 4 years since we met any new boyfriends, or saw any new sex scenes from the girls in the city, but finally dreams came true as they took over the big screen in May, making close to $60 million in just the first 3 days. Suddenly, it's the record holder for the top-opening R-rated comedy of ALL TIME. And, if that's not enough.. We have more to look forward to.. Like a sequel in 2009 or 2010.

6. New Kids on the Block
Ever wanted to see a bunch of grown women go nuts? Work at a radio station with NKOTB makes a comeback tour. It had been 14 years since the group was together and making great music, but they came back with "Summertime" to catapult them back into everyone's hearts. The same 5 dancing men, no longer "kids", took over the charts again hitting #1 for their single and comeback album, "The Block."

5. Pink
After divorcing her husband of 2 years Carey Hart, Pink wasn't about to fade out. In fact, the summer gave her her biggest single of all time, and the only one to ever hit #1, "So What." She also debuted her new album "Funhouse" at #2 and is said to be one of the most provocative, personal, and "poptastic" albums of the year.

4. AC/DC
For a band that can be considered "classic rock," it sure did make it big this year. Their album "Black Ice" sold over 700,000 copies in its first week. And oh yeah, it was only being sold in Wal-Mart. It also marked their first #1 album since 1981, and their first album since 2000. They even played a major part in the sales of Rock Band 2.

3. Robert Downey Jr.
He was voted the "Entertainer of the Year" by Entertainment Weekly thanks to his roles in Iron Man and Tropic Thunder, and is set to play the lead in the upcoming Sherlock Holmes movie. It was definitely needed for the star who battled with substance abuse for 5 years beginning in 1996, and then a couple relapses inbetween then and now. Now the 43 year old is back on the A-list stronger than ever.

2. Saturday Night Live
For a show that was definitely falling off the radar, the election couldn't have come at a better time.. And there couldn't have been better candidates for the show to imitate. Thanks to Sarah Palin, fan favorite Tina Fey came back and took part on the highest rated episode [alongside the loser-VP candidate] since Nancy Kerrigan hosted in 1994. Suddenly people were catching all of the videos online, and tuning in to boost the ratings to 5.5, and which could have made it the #3 show for 18-49 year olds had it been primetime.

1. Britney Spears
Call me biased, I don't care. The girl went from complete trainwreck to winning her first VMA [and it wasn't the only one], having her 7th top 10 hit with "Womanizer," which was also her highest debut single ever at #3, AND her album "Circus"sold over 500,000 copies in the first week, debuting at #1. One year ago the pop princess was wearing a hot pink wig and being the "Amy Winehouse" of right now... And now, at the absolute perfect time after being chastised for what seemed like forever, she's looking hotter than ever with a slimmer body, and a great album, with tons of fans to back her up. It's Britney, b*%#@.. And even though she said it's not a comeback, she's back.

So there ya have it. The people that have once again come back into our lives without a doubt, and should remain in the spotlight for more than just a quick second. We know who they are, they're familiar faces, and it's going to stay that way thanks to good decisions career-wise.

Welcome back, guys.. It's good to see ya.

what women want

Ladies- If you could make your body from an array of parts from different celebrities, what from whom would you use?
Fellas- Whose body parts would you want your lady to have?

Well, apparently the NY Post knows the answer.. Or answers, if you will.

The lips women want are, can you believe it?!.. Angelina Jolie!! Imagine that.

And the boobs women desire aren't a huge surprise either. Duh-Duh-Dunnn.. Jessica Simpson!

Okay, nothing you haven't heard before. But! The nose. Whose nose would you want in all of Hollywood?! They say Jessica's little sister Ashlee. Ya know, the one who got a nose job! So it's totally fake, and I consider it cheating, but fine.

But, they end there! What a tease. I mean whose butt do we all want? [J. Lo's please.] Whose legs? [Maybe Beyonce's?! But don't tell anyone I said that..] Abs?! [I vote Jessica Alba.. Before OR after the baby!] What would you want?!

Do guys ever look at celebs and wish they had their nose, or is this a default with women?! Hmmm.. I bet you do, secretly.

Thanks for showing me almost nothing I haven't already seen, NY Post. I appreciate it.
