say byebye to BUSHisms

As President George W. Bush quickly becomes just plain ol' W in less than 3 hours, there are some things we are sad to see go.

And yes, I'm serious. What I mean are his sayings. His Bushisms. They've been entertaining those of us who have a sense of humor and realize there's nothing we could have done to save this country [besides assassination, of course] while he was in office.

So, let's remember a couple of them.

David Letterman picked these 10 as the best MOMENTS: [My personal favorite it #4, just because I love awkward moments.]

These are just a couple more moments. Ignore the ending..

"I have no doubt in my mind we are going to fail.." Well, at least he knew it.

And this video has "American Idiot" in the background. Awesome.

Since I can't get enough of them, here's just one more.. To make sure we get em all. Or most, anyways.

This is my all time favorite quote from our beloved president..

"Wall Street got drunk, there's no question about it. That's the reason I told you to turn off your TV cameras."

Why are these people laughing?! I mean, okay. It's funny. Really funny. But if I were there I'd be like "What the h is going on right now?!"

Anyways, thanks for the memories George W. Bush. soon you'll just be a Mr. and not President, but it's okay.. Because we'll have these moments to remember when we think of your presidency.

PS: Even MORE greatness on this countdown site. He had something great for every hour that Bush had left in presidency. [Minus the hours the author was sleeping, I guess..]

atta boy

So what happened in the politics world today?

Eh, the economy is crashing, Obama is getting ready to be president, VP Elect Biden got a new puppy [see picture.. SOOO cute!!!!]...

And oh yeah... President George W. Bush got shoes.. 2 of them to be exact.. thrown at him by an Iraqi journalist.

This has got to be one of the funniest things I have seen in a couple days. Seriously.. Not only is he hated by his own country, but he can't go to a SUPER SMALL press conference without getting shoes thrown at him.

Right on, Iraqi journalists! Do what no US man will do!!

here he comes

While most of the country is going to be celebrating because Bush is headed OUT of DC and into Dallas, his neighborhood could stand to make the wait a little longer.

Apparently they're worried that the nighborhood will be surrounded with tons of haterade when he comes back.

Uh... Duh!?

But what IS crazy about all of this is the kind of neighborhood he lives in.

It's an ALL WHITE neighborhood. Literally. The neighborhood's covenant states that only white people can occupy the houses.. Unless, of course, they are a servant of another race.

Wow. WHAT! No one has overturned this in some way yet?!

And no wonder these people are worried! They have NO diversity in their life, so any change and they're going to freak their freak!

Good neighborhood, George. Realllll classy.

these are great

These videos are so hilarious. I love it when they take what people say and make it look like they're singing. It's even better when they're politicians.

And it's the best when it involves Bush singing a love song duet.

I seriously laughed out loud when we watched this in class, so hopefully you will too. :)

what a shocker

What does our President do on an average day?

Well, we all wonder what he's been working on in the Oval Office besides messing up the country, but now we might have another answer.

Apparently, he's visiting schools and showing off his best shocker.

AKA He visited ASU last week, hung out with the track team, and took this picture:

I'm not sure whether or not he knew what he was doing, or if it actually represents something else somehow, but either way, that is our president, throwin' up the 2 and the 1. Oh boy.

What a classy, one of a kind, impressive president we have, eh?!

in case you missed it

SNL featured not only our favorite Sarah Palin.. I mean, Tina Fey, but also WILL FERRELL as George Dubya Bush.

Quick highlights:
  • Ferrell mentions that the VP is actually more important than the Pres.
  • Tina Fey talks about how her and McCain go shopping. Ha. Get it?
  • Will does Bush's eyes PERFECT. I love it.
  • "A vote for John McCain is a vote for George W. Bush."
I'll be honest.. I always liked SNL, but I never watched it all that much. Ever since this whole election thing, and how great Tina Fey does, I look forward to catching the clips! Of course, they know that too, seeing as they expected their ratings to skyrocket last weekend.

Ahh, whatever will we do once the election is over?!

Take a sigh of relief, probably.

Until then,

random and simple but fun

In class today we were doing these "translations" and such.

There are two links he gave us that I played with all crazy/found interesting:

www.ringworks.com/dialect
It turns any text into a different "language." By language I mean redneck, moron, hacker, etc.

http://politicalhumor.about.com/library/blbushisms.htm
A list of Bush's wonderfully fantastic sayings. Remember when he said Wall Street was drunk?

When combining the dialectizer with a Bushism.. here is what you get:

"Dehe's no kesshun bou' it. GEE danks.Wall Street got drunk -- dat's one of de reasons I askid you t' turn off de TB camehas -- it got drunk 'n now it's got a hangobeh. De kesshun is duh, how long will it sobeh up 'n not try t' do all dese fancy financial instrumins." --George W. Bush

BAHAHA.

Finally. What does your bar tab say about you? Thanks to The KANE Show for pointing this one out..

Try em out. Let me know what the results are. :)
