nifty place: this coffee shop puts amazing designs in their lattes!

One of my Facebook friends, Chris, put up a picture of his coffee yesterday morning, and it had a monkey face in it! Turns out- it was supposed to be there!

1541 pastries and coffee is a place in College Station that has clearly mastered the skill of latte-art, and it's freakin' neat. The owner Sam apparently makes most of the designs, but he's been trying to teach his wife and other employees how to do it, too. Here are some of their creations:


It's all made out of chocolate syrup and he says the frothing of the milk has to be done perfectly. But pause. DO YOU SEE THAT DRAGON?! Freakin' insane. And that cake is pretty sweet, too. Looks like they get some inspiration from Cake Boss.

I'm going back to BCS next week, and will absolutely be checking this place out. And no, they didn't pay me to do this.

I've listened to it every day for the past week or so. It's so fun! [And NO, I'm not saying it because I'm biased! If you didn't give it a chance, you're stoopid silly.]

It's been two weeks since I left College Station, but since I've been driving across country and getting acquainted here in Virginia Beach, I never had the chance to post this video!

I did this round-up of my year in Texas/at Candy 95 in the style of my old Real World videos! Also included: My "emotional video" that I talked about on Twitter and Facebook, as well as extra videos we made but never posted!

i spy: a whole lotta woman

Tweet I said I had the ultimate I Spy coming up, and I wasn't lying. Now I shall give it to you as an early Christmas present. You're welcome.

At the "rap" concert I went to the other week, I spotted this uber confident woman walking into the bar like what she was wearing and how she looked was something everyone say every day.

She was wrong. This was in fact something new for me.

Oh yes, that is in fact a lime green, mesh, full body suit. Yes, her nipple was beginning to slide out from her bra. Yes her ciggies are inside the suit close to her bosom. And yes, this is a normal bar in College Station.

Ohhh, yeah... That's a bare ass, only covered by a green mesh body suit. Mm mm MM, GURL!

Like I said, she walked in with the confidence of Pam Anderson on a Playboy cover... And so did her friend. If you look closely, you'll see they thought it was twin night at the club. The twin chose pink.

I know what you're thinking: "EB, you can't post this. She's going to find you and do scary things." Well, maybe... But she saw me and plenty others taking pictures and videos and didn't do a thing about it. Plus- if someone's going to have the nerve to wear such a thing in front of me when I have my camera, there's nothing I can do about it. I've given plenty warnings.

i spy: something that should not be hanging out

Tweet Last week I went to a "rap concert" [I say it in quotes because it was all of the guys who have those dumb rap dance songs on YouTube that make them big] and I am going to have the best I Spy's for you guys the next few weeks.

Tweet The night of the Travie McCoy show was interesting, as I've already explained. Also interesting- one of the guys who opened up for him, Mookie Jones.

I wish I could tell you where he's from or what he's reppin' besides the US and Pluto, but I can't.

What I can tell you is he's a hungry artist looking to make it big, and he's got the personality and talent to do so. If you like a little bit outrageous and a lot of local talent, check him out. Also check out this quick "interview" I got with him before the show.



Seriously, we've been walking around the office screaming AUTOOOO at random ever since this night, and tomorrow I'll show you another [FAIL] video of why it's even better/funnier.

i spy: sluts on the dance floor

Tweet I've been wondering if I should post this or not, and when I teased it today, a certain DJ called me out saying I was "all talk." Pfft. Now it's going up.

At the same bar that I've spotted all the other hooker girls, I found the typical set of girls wearing short skirts and dancing with each other as their goodies were shown to the world.

exclusive interview: travie mccoy

Tweet Travie McCoy came to College Station last Wednesday and is the sole reason I died I got to interview him before he went on stage!

I got to the bar around 7 and talked to him for a quick second during sound check, but it wasn't until he came back after 1am that I got to talk to him on camera.

We were right below the stage, the bass was booming, and it had been a long night for both of us, to say the least.

Still- I managed to get a couple answers out of him. The problem is that I had to caption everything and make it choppy. But choppy= short, and ADD people love short videos.

He was quick, and didn't talk much, but it might have been because of his state of mind. He did make fun of me a few times, though... And I'm going to assume it was in a friendly way.

I'm thinkin' about making a bloopers reel of this interview, but it probably wouldn't be a smart idea... and I have this picture, which is a screen shot from the bloopers, as a reminder to think before I do.


The show was quick, but good. I also got to meet DJ Benzi, who works with Mike Posner and Chitty Bang, to name a few. As far as I can tell, he seems like a pretty cool guy... that loves to promote himself.

i spy: a couple that needs a room

Tweet I can't decide if this whole segment or whatever you want to call it on a blog should be called "I Spy" or "Don't be caught doing this" or "Where are your friends?!"

Again I went out to the same bar as the last time I saw a hoe-bag with no clothes on, and I was definitely not let down.

This couple, who probably just met, decided have quite the rendezvous in the middle of the dance floor... and they didn't stop.

Not for a flash.

Not for random people posing with them.

Not for 10+ flashes. Not even 10 minutes after that.

No, seriously... guys.... seriously... GET A FREAKIN' ROOM. GO HOME.

People get drunk and make out. I know that. It's not exactly an unknown habit of mine... But there's making out, and there's having tongue sex... For entirely too long.

Where were their friends?! Why in the H did no one EVER stop them?! They'd make out, hold each other, stare into their eyes, and keep going as if they were on some love movie that would never end.

I'm not even going to bother blurring their faces out in this one. They need to learn a freakin' lesson- Don't be THAT couple... or at least move over to the wall. Kthanks.

truth or dare: supporting the redskins in texas

Tweet I told ya I was bringin' back Truth or Dare, I just needed a dare that was easy and timely for me to complete!

I made a sign and headed out to the corner of the two main roads in College Station... and prayed that I'd survive.



I was honestly surprised by the feedback, I'm not going to lie! And seeing guys reach over their girlfriends to make sure the horn was being honked was hilarious!

Thank you for not killing me, BCS. Hopefully you won't kill me when I sing Hail to the Redskins AGAIN after beating the Texans this weekend.

i spy: a variety of interesting people at ziegfest 2010

Tweet Last night I went to Ziegfest with some super fancy media passes [AKA BACKSTAGE! Holla!] with Emo Sarah. I gotta admit, though... As great of a show as Jack Ingram, Kevin Fowler, The Eli Young Band, and Blue October put on, it was the people in the crowd that had me ROLLIN'.

First of all- What is it about country concerts that makes old people grind on each other like they've never had sex before?!

Seriously. Look at my man's face. He is into it... and wantin' it... bad.


And I understand that if there's ever going to be an awesome place to drink all day and have the time of your life, it's going to be at an all-day music festival... but why do people have to be so hammered drunk that they purposely try to get into fights?!

Homeboy was all up in this guy's grill, wouldn't leave him alone, got told to back up, and then he literally started dancing on the guy, waving his arms in his face, and staring at him, licking his lips. [The lips thing was rather disturbing, to be honest.]

I pulled out my camera and immediately started taping, knowing a fight was looming.... but then someone saw me taping and came and pulled him away. Lame.


I think overall the best part is watching people just have a freakin' blast. So many people were clearly having their time of their lives, just like lil spaghetti strap wearin' Granny and typical drunk in his own world.

Something else happened that I could not even attempt to capture on video or picture- The guitarist from Eli Young Band kept looking right at me, throwing me guitar picks. Seriously, I'm not making it up. He did it a bunch of times. Finally, one hit my stomach, but I couldn't see it. A little girl in front of me found it, tried to hand it to me, and before I could say "don't worry about it girl, you keep it," her mom straight SNATCHED IT OUT OF MY HANDS and yelled at the girl! I can't make this up. That really happened. And I was left stunned. Still am, to be honest.


It was a really awesome show, they broadcast live to the troops in Afghanistan which gave me chills, and I got to meet Jack Ingram who was really cool and really connected with the audience.

i spy: a girl who needs more clothes on

Tweet It's been a VERY long time since I've played this super fun game I call "I Spy."

In case you've never been a part of it here on love, e, I show you things that I see out in public that are "OMG" worthy.

It needs to come back... and today, it is. Thanks to some hooker girl deciding it was okay to wear a shirt as a dress in Northgate the other night.

Ladies... Darlings... Friends.... Wearing shirts as dresses is not okay. I know I'm no style expert, but seeeeeeriously. Dress a little classier, will ya?! I've noticed girls hike up the skirts and add some inches to their heels around here, but sometimes enough is enough.

Also- beware of EB on the streets. Hopefully homegirl doesn't read this. Or... hopefully she does, gets the hint, comments back hating my guts, and never does it again.

And to any girls who have friends that wear things that aren't so great- For the love of God, TELL THEM!!!! You wouldn't want to look a hott mess in public either, would you?!

get ready for national dance day!

If you didn't know, July 31st is National Dance Day!! Exciting, right?! What's more exciting: The peeps from So You Think You Can Dance are trying to get flash mobs ACROSS THE NATION!

You know these are my favorite things ever. You know I've been trying to be a part of one for SO long.

Now's the chance to make it happen.

DC Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes-Norton already approved the idea to do it at Malcolm X Meridian Park with special guest Nigel Lythgoe! DC kids- BE THERE. Tape it. Send it to me. I credit you. We all smile.

watch: i was on the morning news!!

Two days ago I began my "media tour" of sorts with an interview with the DA, the newspaper in Morgantown! Today I decided to hit the broadcasting world and join the KBTX crew on Brazos Valley This Morning for a quick interview and a shot at doing the news!

[Okay, so it wasn't my decision... they invited me and OF COURSE I said I'd love to do it!]

The best part: I was on camera at 6:20 am. I woke up at 5:50 am. Swear on my life. It was a bit ridiculous how I was able to get ready, iron my shirt, straighten some of my hair, and put makeup on within 9 minutes, but I did it!



You're going to come with me every step of the way for this journey, right?! I hope so! I'm takin' ya with me regardless!
