i spy: uncle sam and halloween 2013

So... This year... is not like the past few.

Without giving you [perfectly reasonable] excuses on why I don't have a HUGE collection of awesome costumes from this year, I'll just take the blame... it's cuz I've become a Halloween snob thanks to Pinterest... and expect nothing but the best.

That being said, there were some I totally loved... and these are them!
This is the epitome of hott costume but still legit. Look at their wigs! So many props, ladies.

"What are you blind, ref?! You're blowin' the game!" ... I assume that's what they're doing here, anyway...

I'll ALWAYS give props to fully homemade costumes, especially when they're simple but still look great! Like both of those.
If Red and the Wolf woulda had a baby.....

IT'S SO INTENSE.

I see what you guys did there... you're going to eat her... wait know that's opposite.

And THESE are some of the ones I spotted out and about during the week...

Um... YES Colonel Sanders and the chicken! ....and a gorilla... and a female Mr T.

Do what ya can when you're rockin' a sling, Butla!

Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox! How cute are they, and how great is this for a country guy who doesn't wanna dress up much?

If you're going to be Walt... this is a ballsy and AMAZING way to do it... but homeboy was too oblivious to hear me asking him for a good picture.

UP costumes always capture my heart...

And THIS guy.. the Drake cover... people were FREAKING OUT over him. It was simple, but fine.. I'll give props.

Metro station pole!

I've seen these on Pinterest, but like... I'm obsessed with Slurpees, so.. duh it's on here.

And me! I can never just be a female human for Halloween... and since I'm back home in DC... I went all 'Merican! [Plus... it's kinda been my theme all year...]
What I got:
-old black flats because I was at a party on a farm
-striped tights from the Halloween store $7
-white button down I already had
-red bowtie from Amazon $2
-blue blazer from H&M $14
-hat from the Halloween store because I decided last minute I wanted a huge one- $12
TOTAL: $35

The best part: I can wear every single one of these pieces again. I've been wanting to mix a bowtie into my wardrobe, the tops are a no brainer, and the socks/hat can be used for many future bar crawls! Score!

If you had an awesome costume and it didn't make it on here, it's probably because I didn't see it which means you didn't send it to me... and that sucks... but according to the world around me- it's time to move on to Christmas.. so BYE.

i spy: questionable raunchiness at my club night

Hopefully by now you know that I host at Bayside on Shore Dr in Virginia Beach every Tuesday night. I like to make things get a little crazy, normally offer up some lap dances for some birthday people, and see where the night takes us.

The other week, we had some strippers join us [in every day clothes, so I really had no idea until I got completely shown up during the lap dances], and suddenly the whole bar got a lot more raunchy.

This happened.

No, that's not someone getting tackled to the ground and beaten with our logo conveniently in the fore-front of the picture... that was some kind of dance move these people were all doing.

And yes, someone did forget that leggings aren't pants.

My favorite part: Dude in the green shirt thinks the chic IN THE BACK is crazy, not the orgy that's happening on the floor.

I'm not saying this happens every week, because thankfully, it doesn't. What I am saying is that each week brings something special to the table floor, and you should probably come out and experience it.

Every Tuesday, Bayside Bar and Grill on Shore Dr. I'm there starting at 11pm. Mention this post, and I'll get your first drink!

i spy: gifs of parents "gettin down" at the club

I'm not sure if I'll ever laugh as hard as I did when I saw my dad tear up the dance floor, but being out the other night and see a couple of parents doin' their thang had my jaw dropping.

First of all, the Cosby sweater dad...

He didn't need any other moves. Rocking back and forth with a little extra flair caught my eye more than blondie twerkin' it on the side.

Then we had this lady, who may not be a mom, but she looks like one.

She was all about DJ Canrock giving her some attention, and she worked him like a pole... on the stage. She clearly loved that accidental ass touch, too.

But now, my friends, I present to you this mother/daughter duo [again, my assumptions.] They came dressed in some serious clubwear, thigh-high boots, and coats that they only wore on one arm, because two would obviously make them much too hot.

Just twerkin' away on her daughter..

I call this the "now lean back, lean back, lean back...."

Keep up that rhythm, ladies.

And then... I got caught, just as the humping was beginning. Mama wanted every bit of junior's booty in her lap, and thought the video-bomber was just playin' along too... Silly drunk goggles.

I really need to start sitting back and observing other people like this. People watching is just so, so much fun... almost as fun as causing the scene yourself.

But seriously.... I hope I run into those two ladies again. Pure entertainment.

i spy: people in the club that need better friends

REAL friends don't let their friends leave the house looking like a fool... which is why these people I saw in the bars and clubs last week need to re-evaluate the people they hang out with.

Pull your mother effing pants up, bro. You're WEARING A BELT, that holds up up under your butt?! Excuse me if I sound all grandma-like, but no girl in her right mind is going to find this hott.

Maybe this guy just needs to consult his kids before he goes out. Not only is he at a place full of 21 year old girls, but he's wearing a COSBY SWEATER. Ugly sweater season ended a month ago. It's time to move on.

I don't even know what to say about this man. I couldn't stop staring. I still can't stop staring. That 'stache. The sneaks you can't see in this pic. The hair. It's... real.

This picture doesn't do this act justice, but homeboy was not just chair-dancing.... he was chair-banging. It was a full on NC-17 chair porno in the middle of the dance floor.

As for this guy, I am naturally drawn to the light-up shirts [in a good way], which are probably more d-baggy than I'm willing to admit. You tell me if this should be allowed or not.

I've been working on making some gifs for some of these people's dance moves, along with a lot more, and let me tell you.... They might give my dad a run for his money. It's been a long time since I've done I Spy posts, but I need to bring it back. People watching is much too fun not to share.

PS: If you ever see any crazy people out and about, you know I expect you to let a girl know?! [FYI: "a girl" is me...]

PPS: I really shouldn't be allowed to judge these people, considering I was seen doing this in the bar the other night.....

It's my [drunken] Kim Kardashian impression......... Don't ask questions.

10 most embarrassing nightclub photos

I love it when people share quality things with me that they know I'll love! [Especially if they're not doing it to promote themselves, and because it's actually something I've talked about loving before.]

One thing we all know I love: Spying crazy people in public, specifically in bars/clubs.

My friend Mojo put a link on my Facebook for a new page "Embarrassing Nightclub Photos," and it is GOLD. Here are some of my faves, that aren't gross enough to make you barf:

That is one seriously large, orange head... and a fantastic photobomb.

I can only imagine what they're thinking; "This is so hott. We know what's happening, but with the help of the dress and purse, no one else does. And certainly no one is photobombing a pic of us right now."

Man, woman or horse... that is the question.

I thought I had ridiculous poses... Glad Miss Blue Skirt is clearly not impressed.

That is in fact a guy lifting up your dress... Miss Smirnoff.

If this girl's outfit isn't enough to make you wanna take a picture, just imagine the lapdance-ee's thoughts the next day.

This is one sexy ass couple. *Ass Ass Ass Ass.*

Contrary to what you may think, lady, squeezing a cage-bar with your cheeks is not a good look.

One word: Yummy. Pictures everywhere!

This outfit totally rivals the neon mesh outfits of College Station.... I don't even know who wins.

There is a serious amount of showing tampon strings, awkward sweat-spots, pukes, and pees... but I thought I'd let you find those on your own. There's also a whole website for it.

If you ever wanna share something with me, always feel free to tweet it or post it on the Facebook group!

i spy: me being stoopid this weekend

I've been trying to come up with more I Spy posts lately, and it seems as though when I'm drunk, I think everything is worthy of a post.

After going through my pictures from this weekend and remembering the things I said to people, I've finally come to the realization that I am absolutely ridiculous. Here are some of the happenings:

I was extremely fascinated by this guy's outfit. I couldn't believe he was seriously wearing it in public. The fedora, the blue and white striped linen pants, and that pink polo was even popped at one point. After a couple failed attempts at taking a sneaky picture, I walked by him said "HEY, SMILE, YOU'RE ON EB's CAMERA!" ...and quickly ran away. He tried asking questions, but he got no further information besides "INTERNET!"

Drunk goggles were in effect here. I SWORE this dude looked just like RGIII from the back, so I walked up to him, said a couple sweet-nothings, then asked for a picture. He had no idea I was making the damn-it's-not-RGIII face on the right, and when I told him to turn around for the second picture, I made him not ask any questions. I then skipped away and avoided him for the rest of the night. Why do people trust me?!

Now THIS was funny. The station is at Luckie's in Hampton on Saturday nights, and they had this and many other signs throughout the place. I needed to entertain myself, so I tried to find the most awkward couples and conveniently placed the sign above them. I said zero words, did everything I could not to make eye contact, and damn near got kicked out of the bar. [I hate using the "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM" line, but it had to be done to save my ass from security this time.]

So, basically, I'm pretty sure I'm a huge dbag these days, but I do crack myself up. [Which I guess makes me a bigger one....] It's just SO FUN to mess with people and leave them wondering "WTF just happened to me?!"

Oh... you got EB'd. Sorryboutchya.

i spy: the 1st annual santacon at virginia beach

I first heard of the NYC SantaCon from my fellow MTV TJ friends, then saw there was a fun bar crawl in DC, and then went into depression because I'd be missing out. THEN... we found out Virginia Beach was popping its SantaCon cherry this year!

I didn't know what to expect since it was the first one for the area, but considering it was mostly promoted solely though Facebook, it was pretty damn good! I'd say there was a solid 70+ people strolling through the Oceanfront all afternoon. Though I only made it to about 5 bars between 3-7pm thanks to having to work, they went at least 3 hours longer than me.

Everyone was super rowdy and obnoxious, just the way you should be during the holidays on a Saturday afternoon. Every couple of minutes the group would chant anything from "HO! HO! HO! HO!" to "When I say Santa, You say HO!" And everything in-between. It was one of the most beautiful things I've seen in a while.

As for the costumes, most people were in fact dressed like Santa, but there was also a solid Jack Frost, some elves, and the less prepared like me- ugly Christmas sweaters. The most prominent: Men wearing spandex body suits with added accessories like hanging bells from their balls. Yes.

Here are some of the pictures I took between drinks:

And these are thanks to Bobby Hollywood and Corey's Instagrams and tweets:

Please notice the casual inappropriateness of the top right corner.

Click here for my entire album on Facebook! and see how my night ended, with some seriously split pants, here.

If you have any pics from the event, leave a link in the comment box so we can all share!

UPDATE 8:45pm
Someone posted these pictures that show more of the timeline and random people... and of course more of the crazy.
Here are some of my faves:

i spy: why gingers shouldn't wear pink

FACT: It's a fashion rule that red heads are not allowed to wear hot pink.

Some people still try to pull it off, or at least give it a try, and sometimes it works, but seriously... for the love of America, if you're going to look like this man, put. the shirt. down.

First of all, there was absolutely no reason for him to be wearing this at a WVU/Louisville game in November. Second- he looks like a damn clown. Literally.

I mean, it is a beautiful sight, if you're into colorful things... but someone should have told him to turn the lights on while he was getting ready.

Sorry I'm so mean to you all the time, gingers... it's all out of love, I swear.

i spy: halloween on facebook 2011

As always, one of my favorite traditions on this blog is rounding up your Facebook and Twitter pictures from Halloween and showing them off to the world! If you put enough thought or creativity or beauty into them to catch my eye, the rest of the world needs to see it too!

After way too many hours of going through Facebook [the new way of looking through all of your friends' photos is ANNOYING, Mr Zuckerberg], here's what I LOVED!

Favorite group costume: 5.5 stages of Britney Spears

I've seen it done before, but not with six people, and I've never seen the "Crossroads Britney" or Kevin Federline involved. They got serious props.

Favorite put-in-a-lot-of-work costume- The Natty Light Samurai

Anyone who is willing to spend hours on their Halloween costume, is awesome in my eyes. Add in a boy who's using cheap beer cans for arts and crafts that come out AMAZING, and he's a winner.

RUNNER UP CLOSE BEHIND: The Kia Hamster... completely homemade head!

Favorite funny costume: "White girl crazy"

Boots with a dress, Smirnoff, long blonde hair... and apparently he took shots, cried in the bathroom, and woke up with a stamp on his face to complete the look. Perfect.

Favorite prop with costume: Captain Jack Sparrow.. AND HIS REAL MONKEY.

No, really... That's a real, living, pet monkey, and it was chillin' on his shoulder in the bar ALL NIGHT. So well trained/tamed, so cute, and now I am going to get one. They're only a couple hundred dollars. Move over, Slutty Cat... you're getting a friend.

Favorite Celebrity costume: LL Cool J

It's so simple, but this dude nailed it. As soon as he walked in I announced STFU LL COOL J IN THE HIZZOUSSEEEEE!!! [I may have been intoxicated]

And then there were these other good ones:

A Mexican with a pinata/Little Red Riding Hood with the Big Bad Wolf

The most legit looking Bret Michaels ever/I saw a LOT of Hulk Hogans, but this one was silly

I saw a lot of them, but these Black Swan girls were a hott mess at the bar we were at.

Richard Simmons and a Twitter bird inspired by my costume! YES!

Shari Lewis with her Lamb Chop! OMG LOVE.

Hilarious boy lady bugs!/a homemade loofah!

LMFAO and the Shuffle Bot!

A bag of weed. I asked the guy if he was high... "F#@*in DUH!"/Facebook STALKer. Get it?!

The entire sexy cast of Alice in Wonderland. Normally I'd write this off, but these costumes look goooddd.

The most beautiful Troy Polamalu and his Head and Shoulders

There were WAY more scary costumes this year than I remember! AHHH

The Sloppy "Double Dare!"

Lamar Odom/Khloe Kardashian/Voodoo!

And then there was me/my costumes:

First off, most of my time this year was dedicated to helping my ginger coworker Corey get his costume together. His red hair and beard made it mandatory to be a leprechaun.
I dyed a shirt for him, covered a black hat with green felt and a ribbon, and made him wear boxers... ya know, to spice things up a little bit.

As for me, because I don't like doing the same thing two nights in a row, and I also didn't feel like repeating Twitter bird at the place we were going, I decided to do a very last minute Clarissa [Explains It All].
I had a striped skirt that resembled her shorts, jean button down shirt, and black vest... plus- my Keds shoes and a headband! I spruced up the vest with some yellow stickers I found around the office.

[Me and my other coworker, Nathan, who was a Ken doll!]

I also couldn't help but notice that without the hat, Corey passed as Clarissa's ginger brother, Ferguson!

And finally, somehow, I was able to put together my Troll costume. I didn't get into shape like I planned, so I had to wear clothes. After ordering the wig, I used an old yellow skirt I had from my Snow White costume, and went out to find the yellow bandeau top on clearance at Wet Seal. I glued a giant gem onto a tank and VOILA!

It's not nearly as good as most of my past costumes, but I do enjoy it.

Any to wrap things up, the most disturbing/awesome/funny/questionable picture I saw amongst my friends... This was my guy friend's truck last night:

If any kids actually walked up to him, they need new parents.

love,
elizabethany

PS: If you think your costume needs to be up here but I didn't see it, email me! I can totally update if necessary!
