It's time for the first Tunes on Tuesday of 2012! You ready for some new music now that the artists will be stepping up their game again?
Foster the People--> Don't Stop
It's very consistent with their sound, and I'm pretty sure this song is on a commercial, right? I like it better than "Pumped Up Kicks" to be honest.
Kelly Clarkson--> Stronger
Also in a commercial! I love this song, though. It's very reminiscent of old K-Clark and a lot of fun and powerful.
Ali Lee--> Keep It Right There
It's fun, but I don't see it being huge. Then again, I could be wrong. It is a new year, time for new peeps?
Adam Lambert--> Better Than I Know Myself
It's probably my favorite, or one of, when it comes to Adam Lambert. It's definitely catchy, and his fans are behind it pushing hard.
Demi Lovato--> Give Your Heart a Break
When I tested this on air, people loved it! Even anti-Demi people said it was catchy, and I agree! It's definitely the same pop-y sound, but I've always liked that. I guess that's when I show my girl-side.
Dev ft. Enrique Iglesias--> Naked
I like the build up in the beginning, and overall it's a fun song, but I don't think it'll be as big as either of their others.
Flo Rida--> Wild Ones
I think I like all of Flo Rida's songs, but the girl singing the hook has a really pretty voice. I enjoy.
Graffiti6--> Free
It's a very soothing song, that's for sure. I don't know how it'll fit with all of the other songs on the radio, but I really don't mind having it on.
Lil Wayne ft. Bruno Mars--> Mirror
It's a great, meaningful song.. but hott damn, it's slow. Too slow.
Train--> Drive By
If you like Train, you'll like this song. It's cheesy, but it's catchy and fun and cute.
And the one everyone has been talking about this week, Jay Z's adorable song for baby Blue Ivy, "Glory."
Since I haven't been able to catch ya up in a couple weeks, there's definitely a lot! Enjoy!

gabourey sidibe would "hit" gerard butler
Ya know the sudden superstar of Precious, Gabourney Sidibe?! Well, she's not a shy one.
It's been a week since the Oscars, but somehow this story slipped under my radar so it's absolutely shareable.
When she was getting interviewed by Billy Bush after meeting Gerard Butler, Gabby told Billy "I'd hit that."
I'm sure she didn't expect it, but Gerard then popped in and asked her to repeat it, and she did, with no hesitation, loud and proud!!!
His response: "I'm here. I'm available. Let's go!"
Oh... My... Goodness. First of all, now Gerard is not only hott, but obviously a cool guy... And I never thought I'd say this, but I'm jealous of Gabby. Wow.
These are the things worth watching for at the Oscars. Stupid work for making me be there and not watch such moments.
[Now I need to make sure I don't imagine said "hitting" occur. That'd be.... unpleasant.]

because you want to know: the AMA's
It's been a while since I've done a full-out post on an award show or anything of the sort, but it's time to talk about last night's American Music Awards!
First up: Let's visit the Red Carpet and see how everyone was lookin'.
Making me cringe:
The rest:
Some people sound way better on the radio, but I appreciate their effort to sing live. [But maybe a little technical help would in fact be better...]
Shakira is hott, but that's about it.
The Black Eyed Peas are just not good live.
There were some performers that maybe you forgot could still make good music, but they're still talented and doin' their thing!
Whitney Houston had an emotional return to the AMA stage, but I think she did great. I'm so happy for her!
J.Lo has definitely been missed [I've missed her, at least]. Minus the absolutely hilarious fall right before her big solo dance, I'd give her an A!
As for other notable performances, I don't really have any complaints minus Eminem obviously being satellited. Everyone did pretty great, and I love that the AMA's have so much music.
Jay Z and Alicia Keys [Please take note of Perez having the time of his life during this song, but not really knowing the words.]
And last but not least, the opening performance of the night was Janet Jackson. She definitely put on quite a show. She looks great, and she sounded great [with the obvious help of pre-recorded music ;)]. I love hearing some of these songs with a new touch on them. One question: Has she gotten more surgery recently?!
As for the winners, I'll just tell you that Taylor Swift won the most awards with 5, and I'm mad about it. I still don't get how she can beat people like Michael Jackson, Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney.... Yeah, her music is cute... But is nowhere near legendary.
So, because I'm mad, you can read all of the winners for yourself here. Sorry. Kinda.

Kelly Clarkson, looking bigger than her best, but sounding just as amazing as she did in her American Idol days.

He'll make people talk.] He's still a little too showy to me, but it's probably time I admit that's what everyone likes- Someone who will entertain in any and every way. And don't tell anyone, but his song is totally growing on me.

woah kelly clarkson
Before I write this post I want to make one thing clear: I love Kelly Clarkson. She's my favorite to come from American Idol [partly because she was the first] and I have always loved that she was a little thicker than the rest. It showed she was real.
There is something to be said, though: Thick like she was in the beginning: Cute. Looking bigger than thick, with no make-up on, and all around rough: Not cute.
When you're in the spotlight, people are going to pick apart your image. I know it's hard to always look good, but she should really try and look better sometimes.
Seriously... These pictures have me thinking it's not real. I even say "ew" out loud when I look at them.
C'mon homegirl.... Get it together. Be the Kelly Clarkson you were from the beginning, without letting yourself go.

kanye interrupts everyone
I'm definitely sick of hearing about how Kanye interrupted Taylor's speech. Okay, it was stupid. He's a huge d-bag. Tell me something I don't know. The guy's been on my hate-list since day 1.
What I do find hilarious are A) the people who are talking about it and B) pictures people are making/things they're having him "say."
Did you hear Obama called him a jackass?! Yea, President Obama got caught saying Kanye West is a jackass, and it's just one reason why I love our president.
I wonder if Kanye will come out and say "President Obama does not like Kanye West"... Oh wait. Obama already did that for him.
Kelly Clarkson totally ripped Kanye a new butthole, too.
But... the funniest part of everything are the parodies and images people are creating. "Kanye West interrupts..... Everyone."

What happened to you as a child?? Did you not get hugged enough?? Something must have happened to make you this way and I think we’re all just curious as to what would make a grown man go on national television and make a talented artist, let alone teenager, feel like shit. I mean, I’ve seen you do some pretty shitty things, but you just keep amazing me with your tactless, asshole ways. It’s absolutely fascinating how much I don’t like you. I like everyone. I even like my asshole ex that cheated on me over you…which is pretty odd since I don’t even personally know you. The best part of this evening is that you weren’t even up for THIS award and yet you still have a problem with the outcome. Is winning a moon man that much of a life goal?? You can have mine if it will shut you up. Is it that important, really??
I was actually nominated in the same category that Taylor won and I was excited for her…so why can’t you be?? I’m not even mad at you for being an asshole…I just pity you because you’re a sad human being.
On a side note, Beyonce has always been a class act and proved again tonight that she still is. Go TEXAS!!

This chic's voice is really annoying to me. I was over her before I got through the whole chorus. Apparently this song is going to be huge, though. Oh boy.

This song is causing a lot of drama. Does the background sound familiar? Maybe something like Beyonce's "Halo"?? Apparently homeboy who wrote it gave it to both artists. Shame on you. Not a terrible song, but not very Kelly, is it?
Push Play--> Midnight Romeo
Hmmm... Something about this song makes me like it, but there's also something I don't like. I can't name either of the things, though. It gets a C+
David Guetta ft. Akon--> Sexy Bitch
Is it bad that I kinda like this song?! It's funny to me. Plus.. Akon= great.
Kristinia DeBarge--> Sabotage
I heart her. I'm rooting for her. She may be my number 2 to BritBrit soon because Rihanna lost that spot.
Blake Lewis--> Sad Song
Man... I think he could have done so much better post-Idol. I don't know why he didn't. Unfortunately I don't think I'm rooting for this song, but I am still rooting for him. C'monnn BLAKE!
Britney Spears--> Kill the Lights
This isn't the new single, it's just the contest winner for something she did on her page. [I love the song, but I'm uber glad this isn't a real music video for a single. It would not be a good look.]
Kaci Battaglia--> Crazy Possessive
This is also supposed to be a huge song. It's okay. I think I need to give it a couple more listens and then I'll love it. Yeah. I will.
Alan Jackson--> I Still Like Bologna
I love the point behind this song, but this is so.. Kindergarten or something. It sounds like a kid's song.
Dierks Bentley--> I Wanna Make You Close Your Eyes
Look at Dierks gettin' all hott and steamy!!! Oooh la laaa!!!!
Anthony Smith--> Bringing Back the Sunshine
A summer song a little bit too late, but I can dig it!

who are vh1's 2009 divas?
A couple years back VH1 stopped doing their "Divas" concert that featured "some of pop music’s most talented female artists." This year, they're back to do it again.
They have picked 4 of today's most popular and talented female artists to star in the concert... Or so they say.
Who have they picked? Adele, Leona Lewis, Kelly Clarkson and Miley Cyrus.
Uhh.. WHAT?!?! Sure, everyone thinks Adele is talented, and Miley is running the teeny bopper charts, but are these 4 really the divas of right now?!
In the past it's been people like Beyonce, Diana Ross, Tina Turner, Cher, Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin, Mary J. Blige, and Shania Twain. Does Leona Lewis' 2-hit-wonder really match up? What about Adele's not-so-famous-in-the-US self? Does she?
Don't even get me started on Miley's childish self. Kelly- I love her... But she won Idol 6 seasons ago. She's no longer the most popular one.
VH1 is just plain stupid nowadays. Their shows are stupid. They pick stupid people to be divas. And they only have ridiculously stupid people on all of their programming.
Congratulations, VH1. You suck at life.

perez got beat up by will.i.am
Wowzers, Twitter went CRAZY last night while I was sleeping. I woke up to about double the tweets I normally do overnight, and it's all thanks to an event that happened after the Much Music Video Awards in Canada last night.
Perez Hilton was bleeding, needed the popo's, and was in shock. Will.I.am supposedly beat him up.

I guess we'll find out what really happened eventually. All I want to do is see the pictures, though. I know for a fact I would laugh out loud... At least a little bit.
But uh.... If this IS true... You can bet Will.I.am and the Black Eyed Peas will get some not-so-nice names and posts from Perez.
In other news, here are some pictures from the event, which is said to be a lot like the MTV VMA's. It involved Lady GaGa's boobies exploding in flames and her cooter almost falling out, Fergie's creepy fingernails, Kelly Clarkson looking huge, and JoBro ridiculousness.. Including them making an obscene gesture.

watch: viva la viral
Ooh I love these!!
This is a mash-up of 7 songs put together to make one incredible masterpiece! As much as I don't understand the fascination of Coldplay's "Viva la Vida," it has made some pretty great mash-ups. This one is definitely no exception.

This is a mash-up of 7 songs put together to make one incredible masterpiece! As much as I don't understand the fascination of Coldplay's "Viva la Vida," it has made some pretty great mash-ups. This one is definitely no exception.

Kelly Clarkson seems pretty random to me in the list, but of course I think she makes the song. Add a little bit of female flava in there.

oh no... kellys lost it
Kelly Clarkson has always been a thicker girl, but it always looked good on her! She's always fluctuated, too... But I never really thought she looked bad. [Well... I AM glad that blonde hair is gone.]
Well... Now she officially looks BAD. Terrible, even. At Wango Tango this weekend [a KIIS-FM concert in LA], she took the stage lookin' like she didn't know people would see her.
Yikes, girlfriend. This is not a good look. It's worse than Jessica's mom jeans. Worse than anything, really. But she looked so good like, a month ago! Oh my.. Hopefully it was just a bad angle but DANG! Good googly moogly that thing is JUICY! And NOT in the good way!
