wearing: blueprint for a wedding guest

It's a big wedding year for me. I'm doing a lot of traveling to see the love going down! This weekend I went to Texas to see my girl Kim marry a great and fun guy, and make everyone shed some tears when she gave his son a necklace during the ceremony.

Normally I go pretty simple with my wedding outfits, but I'm liking the prints this year! With this wedding being on a campsite basically, it was pretty casual, so I went with this fun blue print with short sleeves and a pocket.

I got it from Ross for a whopping $12! At the wedding, I paired it with a different pinkish-jeweled necklace, but really liked this coral color contrast, too! Add some gold sandals and studs and bam! Ready to go with the quickness!

Here's some more scenes from the wedding from my mini cam.

They rented out an entire retreat type site, so everyone stayed in cabins on the river for the whole weekend. 50 of us floated the river Friday, then partied at the river before the wedding Saturday night. This was the scene as I waited for the others to get over their hangover Saturday morning. I swear it was prettier than this suggests.

This is that moment with her new son, and a look at the ceremony. A lot of people came down with beers in their hands [high five]. And I know I sucked at getting pictures of the details, but if you can see her hair when you blow this up, it's gorgeous! They sewed it into a fishtail braid [she's a hairdresser, so magic was possible] like she was Elsa from Frozen.

The ceremony was in a little pavilion on the site, and the decor was so fitting. Mason jars, not super fancy flowers, and burlap. They had a fajita buffet with the works for dinner [and hundreds of pounds of crawfish the night before].

Meet the couple! I had to separate them because they were getting a little handsy! [Syke, I just felt like being in the middle for attention purposes, duh.]

It was easily my favorite wedding I've been to and gave me a new "OMG I WANT MINE LIKE THIS" idea. They were able to party with their guests for the entire weekend! It was chill, it was a celebration, and there was no pressure. Fun over beauty, my friends.

So another CONGRATS to Taylor and Kim Honaker! Next stop on my wedding train: LOS ANGELES!

what i've been wearing- 3 new outfits under $50

Well, I've been trying to make sure I wear all these clothes I've been getting on clearance after seeing so many ideas on Pinterest... so here goes nothin'! I've told you before, I don't consider myself any kind of professional stylist, so any suggestions are beyond welcome!

This is actually what I'm wearing tonight to my club night [at Bayside on Shore Dr, for you locals! I'm there every Tuesday! Tell me you saw this, I'll buy you a drink!]. It's warm outside, and I've never warn this shirt-dress that I've had for 2 years, so I figured it was time.

-dress from F21 for $9 [similar from Target]
-leopard tights from Target I think for under $10
-booties from GoJane.com for $15ish
-"necklace" was actually ripped off a shirt that was so "college years!" It was a halter and ties in the back, and I kinda love it as a necklace now.
TOTAL: $49

At first I thought the leopard tights were a bit much [I originally bought them for a Ke$ha costume], but now I think they're perfect for the understated dress. This outfit totally happened on accident, and I'm not mad about it.

Believe it or not, this is a skirt ON TOP of a DRESS! [And on top of a couple layers of Spanx....]
-dress from Ross- $12 [similar]
-tights $5 from Target
-beige blazer from F21 clearance for about $8ish?
-same shoes from GoJane.com
-gold earrings with one big fushia rhinestone at the end for $1 at Body Central
TOTAL: $49

This was for a fancier club opening so I was pumped to finally have a reason to actually get dressed up, until I realized I had spent the past 7 days doing Restaurant Week. Luckily I magically came up with this and felt pretty damn confident in it.

And now something that's more my speed and comfort...
-tank from Charlotte Russe $5
-jeans from F21- $10
-jacket from Rue21 I think... years ago for under $10
-shoes from Target for $20
-earrings from F21 for $2
-TOTAL: $47

I didn't feel like leaving my hair down, but hate the plain old pony, so decided to bring a braid from underneath over and around. Now that I see this, I wish I would have started it even further under/over, but it'll do.

Well that's a feeling of accomplishment rushing through my body right now. I can get dressed in more than just a hoodie or sweater! Whew. Now I just need to get some color on my body. Woah.

ebstyle: blue dress and boots

When I look around and see girls rockin dresses or skirts with boots, I always think it looks so good! When I try such things on, I never feel like it works as well.... but I'm gonna keep trying.

Over the weekend I worked at the "Ultimate Show for Women" in Virginia Beach, and figured it was only appropriate if I wore a dress. The thing is, it was also college football Saturday, so I had to support my [currently losing] Mountaineers with the gold and blue.

Also, it's starting to get cold around here, so I paired the dress with a scarf and boots and voila! This is how I looked:

I felt a lot cuter wearing it than right now looking at this picture, but maybe you can let me know what you think about it!

The dress is from Forever 21 clearance for $11, and is a really comfortable, thicker material. The issue is the crossover/v-neck top that my boobs don't fill, so a scarf or something is a must. [Similar dress]
My scarf is straight off the streets of NYC for like $5, and the Steve Madden boots were a gift, but totally worth every penny. I wear them all the time. [Slightly cheaper ones here]

My camel-colored purse was also with me, but I always forget to add those to the pictures. Silly me.

I have such a love/hate relationship with Fall. I love boot season, but I hate a ton of  layers, jackets, and long sleeves. But I also love hoodies.

eb fashion: white dress after labor day

Lauren Conrad said it's 2012 and you can totally wear white after Labor Day, and what LC says- goes.

I've seen a lot of lacy dresses all over Pinterest, a couple that were white, and I've totally wanted one, just never thought I'd find one for cheap. Then I did. It was a whopping $14 at Ross, and couldn't be snatched up by my fingers fast enough.

I have a lot of plans for this dress, and maybe I'll combine them all into one eventually, but this is the first quick one I threw together:

The belt came on a pair of shorts, and the sandals are from Express, on sale, with a $35 off $75 coupon... I think I ended up paying about $18 for them. Gold leaf earrings from a random NYC street shop for less than $3- Bam. $35 outfit.

And just to "EB" the outfit a little bit [AKA make it less classy], I was later seen riding a bull with a hott German twin later that night... while having blurry vision.

I've been really lucky at Ross lately, but I definitely think it has everything to do with the location of the store and the day you go on. Unfortunately, I haven't figured out which day is the best yet. I do know that if you're in the Hampton Roads area, get your butt in the Princess Anne location in VB.
