When smart people come into the studio... I could try to be as smart as them... or I could bring them down to my level. The level of Urban Dictionary terms.
That's what happened with Ne-Yo! I wanted to inspire him to write some songs with these new terms!
Do YOU know what ABC sex is? What about masturdating or hiberdating?! Jesus jeans and party socks?! We went over all of these things, and had way too many ADD thoughts/side convos in there as well.
Because we kept going on so many tangents, that's pretty edited down... but the full video from a live stream is here for you, too.
BTW... DO YOU SEE THAT FANCY iHEART WIDGET?!?!? THAT'S BECAUSE I HAVE MY OWN PODCAST CHANNEL ON THERE! FINALLY! Just search "elizabethany" and follow it so you never miss one! Plus, they'll think I'm cool and probably give me a hefty raise if people like me.*
Second, there was definitely some let downs when it came to performances. For me, the following wasn't a let down but rather a "I told you so" and a confirmation that it's OK I never jumped on the Lil Wayne bandwagon, and won't jump on the Drake bandwagon.
[I don't care that Drake tore his ACL and that's why he sat down. It was a terribly boring performance.]
Finally, it was all about Michael Jackson, and I watched it as my one final Hoo-rah for him.
Jamie Foxx's moonwalk was fantabulous and I'm mad I can't find any videos of it that will work.
All of the musical tributes were great, too... But honestly... the best part about it all, was finally getting to see Michael's sister, Miss Janet Jackson.
I cried, got goosebumps, everything when I saw her come out. She held her composure SO well. She gave the opposite appearance that their father did earlier that night on the red carpet.
He honestly acts like he's not phased by anything. This man disgusts me. He always has since I saw the Jackson 5 movie. Maybe this is his way of dealing with everything, but I can't believe that he's coming off so emotionless and untouched by it all.
I wish I could write more, and hopefully I'll get the time tomorrow, but I just don't have the time today and I'M SORRY! Check it all out for yourself, though!

Bow Wow may have quit rapping, but he's going full force with acting... In Entourage. Also, he's looking very different these days.. Hmmm... [EZStreetShow]
Call me a hater, but I'm not a fan of Ne-Yo's girlfriend. Not based on this picture anyways. He could get a girl way more fly than her.
Lady GaGa looked mighty different in high school. Someone released some pictures and let's just say you'd never recognize her in a class picture. [OhNoTheyDidn't]
The Hills WILL continue... Minus LC. And with Audrina having her own show, while also being on The Hills. Because, ya know... That always helps a show... Losing the main girl. [InCaseYouDidn'tKnow]

Wale really reps the DMV hard! [Or, DM.. Minus the V] I'm not sure how crazy I am about the song, but I can support it because he's somewhat of a local! And Lady GaGa seems to be a hitmaker right now.
Sophia Fresh--> What It Is
K... I was unsure how I was feelin' about this from the beginning then we get into the video and HOLLDDD UP! These girls are stealin' MY MEN!!! They have DAY26 in their video! That is NOT okay! The song.. Eh. I'm okay with it. Not crazy about it, though.
Demi Lovato--> Don't Forget
She's a Disney girl... But you wouldn't really know it. You don't hear about her accidentally releasing naked pictures, or being someone she's not. She's also got a genuinely pretty voice. I like it. I can definitely get used to it.
Keri Hilson ft. Kanye West and Ne-Yo--> Knock You Down
I love her. And she's getting prettier with every video. It's weird seeing someone be all over Kanye, but it's okay. I like this song a lot, and the lyrics are cute too. Plus! Ne-Yo!! Man I love that fly-guy! I think this is my favorite song of the week.
Trey Songz--> I Need A Girl
He's another one that I just love, and this song is no exception. I love his voice, sound, flow, everything. This is a cute song in every way and I'm officially obsessed.
Jessica Mauboy--> Been Waiting
Ohh, I'm ending strong this week, I feel! I love the past couple of songs, and I like this one, whoever she is. [Apparently an Australian singer.] Now I want to hear more!

Flo Rida ft. Wynter--> Sugar
Another from Flo Rida! And another with a familiar sound-- Eiffel 65's "Blue." This is definitely a less annoying version of the song, the lyrics are fabulous, and I'm just going to say it... People are going to love it. Flo Rida is here, ya'll.
The Dream ft. Mariah Carey--> My Love
I still can't believe this voice comes out of that guy.. How weird. The song is pretty good... Nothing I'm drooling over, but definitely worth a listen. Mariah is all gangster in this video, it's funny to me.
Keri Hilson--> Slow Dance
This girl is amazing. This song is great. It's hott and sexual like the other one, too. She's going to have people bumpin' and grindin' to her stuff. Ohh snap!

Yeah, I still enjoy the song, I think. The video is.. Interesting.
Jazmine Sullivan--> Dream Big
I was hoping this song would be better for some reason, but it's still not bad. She's definitely got a gorgeous voice. I can roll with it, but it's not my favorite.
Shontelle ft. Akon--> Stuck With Each Other
I love both of them, and I love this song. It's great, and definitely worth your time and money, I think. Plus, she looks super in this video! It is very movie soundtrack, though.
Unladylike--> Bartender
Woahh.. A lady rapper!! Or.. duo... I can't decide how I feel about this song. I think I like the chorus, but the rest I'm really unsure on. Poll: Do you like it?

I'm obsessed with Ne-Yo, and this song is only another reason why. Man, his swagger, singing, writing, everything is just on point. Marry me? [PS: Yes, I think this is only a clip of it.. Probably?]
Billy Currington--> People Are Crazy
Not slow, not fast, almost just right. I kind of want it to be a LITTLE faster, but I like the lyrics a lot, no big surprise here. He's doin' his thing.
Derek Sholl--> But it Was
I have no idea who this guy is, and he doesn't have a whole lot of plays on his MySpace, but he should. This is a precious song, and I fully enjoy it. It's sappy, but I like it.
So, I'm going to do a full post on this guy either tomorrow or Thursday, but why not point out one of his songs now? It's Ryan Star, the current opener for David Cook's University Tour, and this is "This Could Be The Year."
He's hott, and he's an amazing singer and performer, so I want to point him out to everyone. Definitely check more out, and be ready for a Ryan Star-dedicated post.

I don't have any idea who this group Electrik Red is... But the song is alright! Nice catchy beat, of course, and the lyrics are funny. Friends with benefits, and that's it. The rules, as they say: Rule One: No poppin up un-announced, Rule Two: Never leave no clothes at my house, Rule Three: Can't speak if you see when I'm out, Rule Four: You cant' stay pass five, I gotta be to work by nine... Love it.
O'Neal McKnight ft. [People... I can't figure out which version this is, I'm sorry.]
I don't know how much I like the reggae-voice sound, but I like the beat, which makes it an okay song. There's a part 1 and part 2, I'm sorry I don't know which one this is. Shoot me.
Redd Eyezz ft. Flo Rida and Juvenile--> How Much
Well, anything with Flo Rida is bound to get a TON of online downloads, so good call on that... But today must be the day of people I have no idea who they are. Who's Redd Eyezz?! Eh, I like the song, though. I feel like we could be hearing a lot of it real soon. Just sayin'. However.. The girl at the beginning is gross.
Jim Jones ft. Brittney Taylor--> Na Na Nana Na Na
This song is terribly annoying to me. I don't like it. I'm not even sure why I'm posting it for you guys. Maybe as a warning? Or maybe someone will change my mind. Maybe.
Maino ft. T-Pain--> All of the Above
Seriously.. Who are all of these new people making songs with people we hear a LOT from?! I can mess with this song, though. T-Pain is a given great song.. And this one isn't too shabby.
Baby Bash ft. Lil Jon and Mario--> That's How I Go
There we go.. People we all know. I wouldn't say this is an AMAZING song, but it's worth your time. 'Nuff said.
Keri Hilson ft. Kanye West and Ne-Yo--> Knock You Down
I don't like Kanye, but that's okay, because it's Keri's song, and I LOVE her. I also LOVEEE Ne-yo, duh. So, basically, I love this song. Yesyesyes, it's something I can listen to multiple times, and I love the lyrics, too. That doesn't always happen with these types of songs, but it did this time. And honestly, I won't even complain about Kanye right now. Bravo, friends!
Fallon and Felisha--> Infected
This is cute and pretty and soft and genuine-sounding. I'm keeping it short and sweet.. I like it. [We KINDA know them. They're two sisters from the group Cherish.]
Dierks Bentley--> Sideways
It's time to go out and have a good time, my friends! Seriously, if you ever thought country was all depressing, I want you to just look at the country songs I put up on here. They're all fun and happy. It reminds me of the oldies-- All good, happy, fun-loving songs. Love it.
Sugarland--> It Happens
I love everything about this group. Again, another song saying life does crazy things, but take it as it comes. You can't help whatever happens.

Ryan Leslie--> How It Was Supposed To Be
Hmmm.. Unless it's the computer I'm using, which thank goodness isn't mine, I think the beat is entirely too loud over his voice. But, if I'm wrong, then I think it's a pretty good song. His voice is pretty, whoever he is, and it has a nice beat. Not necessarily a party song, but one to hang out to. I give it a C+.
Fall Out Boy ft. Lil Wayne--> Tiffany Blews
Woah, Interesting. Fall Out Boy and Lil Wayne?! Goodness.. Lil Wayne is literally EVERYWHERE. And I'm going to be honest for once here, I'm not a huge fan of either of them, but this song is good. Maybe I'm in a good mood, who knows... But I can definitely play this over and over again. Maybe my favorite Fall Out Boy song ever. [PS--> Wait for Lil Wayne.. It comes late in the song, and is very T-Pain with the computer sounds I always mention how lame it is.]
Mya--> Shy Guy
Woah! She's alive! And apparently coming out with a new album called "Sugar and Spice." And this is actually a remake from Diana King's version on the Bad Boys soundtrack, which reached #13 on the Billboard charts. I like it, it's a cool song. It's very much like EVERYTHING we're hearing on the radio or in mainstream or whatever right now. Go figure. But it's like saying guys shouldn't want the pretty girls, but the real girls. Instead, no fly guys please.. A shy guy is better. Maybeee I agree. I'm kinda excited for her to come back though.. Hmmm...
The Game ft. Ne-Yo--> Camera Phone
The Game is just.. Eh to me right now. But Ne-Yo is the ish.. So, I'm half and half on this song. The lyrics are kinda funny.. Ne-Yo says "It's a thug and a gentleman" which is very true. It's basically like, let her take a picture with me and she's mine. It's funny, it's cool, whatever.. But it kinda seems to go on forever.

This is my favorite song on the album right now, but I think the Womanizer video was better. I thought this one would be, but I completely lied to myself. Oh well.. It's still good. Kinda reminds me of the Slave video.. Kinda.
