As I said before, a major part of the most recent challenge was to show off something we have a passion for and share it with the world.I have a passion for a lot of things, but recently my favorite thing to talk about with other people are the 90s.
Ya see, a lot of people think they weren’t that long ago… but they were! 20 years ago, actually! They were so long ago, that many of the fashions from back then are coming back a bit revamped.
Why do I love the 90s so much? I feel like everything was just happier back then. Maybe it was because I didn’t even make it out of middle school by the time they came to an end, but the music was cleaner for the most part. It was filled with more talent, and the celebrities didn’t seem to have as many issues being exposed.
People loved or hated artists because of their music and their personalities, not what they did to their wife, husband, girlfriend, boyfriend, or anything else in their personal life. Sure, there were tabloids and paparazzi everywhere, but they weren’t as much of an issue [as far as I can tell].
Shows and toys required kids to use an imagination and maybe even *gasp!* physical activity. Video games even required you to test out your lungs if they weren’t working properly.
There are a million things I wish I could bring back from the 90s… and it looks like you all agreed with me and I’m so pumped that I got to read SO many #90sflashback tweets. They made my very hectic and stressful weekend a bit more smiley.
