watch: these people are why i love the nyc subway

I think the best thing about NYC is the weird you see in public.... especially the subway.

This guy has STILETTOS and boy shorts, is pole dancing, and even starts a mini dance party with other randoms. So good.



He is straight up giving a lapdance to that lady, and she just has to sit and take it. That's awesome. You think New Yorkers don't have patience?! Let me see YOU put up with that and not do anything about it.

watch: the 2011 us pole dancing champion

The US Pole Dancing Championships have always fascinated me, and now they've crowned their latest champion.

Check out Natasha Wang, who makes pole dancing look elegant, intense, and painful.



Homegirl has some serious strength and probably deals with crazy raspberries on her body. I don't know how she puts up with that metal pulling on her skin! Ouch.

It's definitely hott, though... And I'm jealous I can't do it like she does.

Shoot, I can't do what ANY of them do. It's incredible.



And I've added them all to my list of heroes. Dang gurls.

watch: ellen pole dances

Tweet This whole pole dancing as a sport thing is really taking flight! I need to find a class somewhere in the BCS. Anyone know of any?!

If there's not a class I can take in person, maybe I can get a DVD and a scary at-home pole like this lady on Ellen was promoting.

The awesome part of the promotion [I assume it was a promotion, anyway] is that she got Ellen to dance sexual an on a pole.



I wish I could find a video of the beginning when she was really gyrating her hips all types of crazy. I mean, I've always said Ellen is one of two people in this world who could make me go lesbian but DANG! Even with her incredibly awkward moves she's sexy!

Also on today's show- Russell Brand. Because he is seriously the weirdest guy in Hollywood [that I know anything about] right now, I will recommend watching this:



Again, I wish you could see the beginning where he walks out in super slow-mo like it was normal, but I think you get the idea.

It was a GREAT episode of Ellen today, so I recommend watching it if you can. Jesse Eisenberg and Kyle Massey were also on. Really, really good show.

watch: elizabethany FAIL #2

This weekend while going home on the Metro after a girls night out, I decided to take it upon myself to finally try all of the super sweet tricks that the professional pole dancers do.

As you can imagine, it uh... Didn't go so well.



Fail, elizabethany! Epic. FAIL!

I'm still convinced I can do better if given a stationary pole, though. And maybe some training.......

watch: us pole dancing championships

I never thought I'd say this, but this video is making me extremely jealous of strippers, and makes me want my own in my bedroom pronto.

Apparently the US Pole Dancing Championships happened last week, and the ladies brought their best moves.



I know I said before that pole dancing in the Olympics would be absolutely ridiculous and absurd, but I think I take that back.

Do you see what they're doing?! [Well, of course you do... And hopefully the fellas kept it in their pants.] They're so strong, yet they have perfectly normal bodies! How do they get so lucky?!

I have so many questions! Who coaches them? Do they practice for ___ hours a week? Is this their job? Were they gymnasts? How bad does it hurt their thighs?!

If there are any pole dancers out there, let me know! I want to know things! I want to learn things!

watch: pole dancing and wedding fail

Sometimes a wedding needs a little spice to add some flavor. The bride in the wedding I was in double-dog-dared me to trip down the aisle, so of course, I did... And almost fell on my face. Next thing I know we're all crying from laughing so hard.

That being said... When you're pole dancing is causing a scene and the bride is giving you some serious death stares, you may want to stop what you're doing before a disaster happens.



I can't tell you how glad I am this entire thing was on tape. It was as if we were watching an entire building collapse as people tried to get out. [Hmmm.. Maybe I shouldn't say that?!]

The fact that the bride came out with a bloody nose is like the ending to a great movie. It couldn't have turned out better. [Unless, of course, she got a black eye to match thanks to fighting the girl in the red dress.]

I don't see these ladies being friends any time soon. Mrs. Bride doesn't seem to have the best sense of humor on the block.
