tunes on tuesday 113010

I'm sorry I'm late with this! I hope you weren't cooped up in a ball waiting by your computer and psychotically rocking back and forth until I posted this.

Let's get to it! There's LOTS to share this week!

Christina Aguilera--> Show Me How You Burlesque

I love that Christina's powerful voice is back in my life but I'm not gonna lie... I don't see the radio blasting this single.

Christina Perri--> Jar of Hearts

You should probably prepare yourself to hear this on the radio ASAP. I think it's a pretty song, though. I won't complain. It's a little dark and sad, but her voice is enjoyable.

Keri Hilson ft. Lil Wayne--> Pretty Girl Rock

She performed this [without Wayne, of course] at the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade. It's got a really catchy beat, and with the Wayne boost- you can expect to hear this on the reg.

Neon Trees--> 1983

It's not my favorite song, but I know how well "Animal" did, so I'm assuming this will do just as well in the pop world. I think I'll probably just ignore it.

Rick Ross ft. Drake and Chrisette Michele

Considering I'm not a huge fan of Rick Ross/Drake, you'd think I'm not going to be a HUGE fan of this song. It's really not bad, though. I like the beat. It's got an old school feel to it, and that's fun.

Bow Wow ft. Chris Brown--> Ain't Thinkin About You

That's a fun video to look at, ladies. Just sayin'. And call me crazy, but I'm rooting for Bow Wow to come back huge. I like this song. I do. I said it.

Nicki Minaj ft. Drake--> Moment 4 Life

"I believe life is a prize, but to live doesn't mean you're alive." That quick line got me. A lot of people have been talkin' about her awesome lyrics throughout her album, and this is just new example #1, I guess. Definitely listen to it. It's a new sound.

Andy Grammer--> Keep Your Head Up

Another cheesy song that has a catchy beat and sound. It reminds me a lot of Tim Halperin. The video is fun, too. I really want to know how you feel about this one. I hope I'm not alone in diggin' it.

Lil Wayne ft. Drake--> Right Above it

Question: How many songs that feature Drake can be released in one week? This is your typical Weezy song. If you're a Weezy fan, you'll like this.

Cher--> You Haven't Seen the Last of Me

Oh no, Cher. I hope to see you again but I really don't want to hear anymore. This is bad. Cher's voice is a thing we respect in the past.. not the present.

Kanye ft. Jay Z and La Roux--> That's My Bitch

Should it surprise you he would do a song like this? It shouldn't. It's pretty cool that someone featured La Roux, though. I'm hoping the beat isn't as strong in the CD version. It's a bit much for me on YouTube.

Jason Aldean ft. Kelly Clarkson--> Don't You Wanna Stay

Kelly Clarkson adds a nice touch with his voice. They compliment each other well. It's a good song. LOVE the lyrics. Love it all, really.

Brad Paisley--> This is Country Music
He's just so "clever" lately. Part of me is so sick and part of me loves it. I'm torn.

Little Big Town--> Kiss Goodbye
I enjoy LBT. I'm not CRAZY about this song, but I think it'll grow on me with time and I'll change my mind.

Whew. That's a lot of new music. It's practically an entire CD set. What do you want more of?

Enjoy!

love,
elizabethany
