watch: elementary chorus sings run this town

Apparently I'm a little late to jump on the bandwagon with this one, but it's better late than never, right?!

This group of 5th graders from Staten Island, from a school called PS 22, sings contemporary songs for their chorus class conducted by Mr. B. They've done TONS of all our favorite songs on the radio.

The first one I heard was this one... Run This Town:

At first you'd think "what the heck, why are these kids singing a rap song?!" But they're really good, and they changed the words to be a song that's appropriate and fun for kids!

Did I mention they're super talented?! My 5th grade chorus was nowhere near this good. Shoot... My 8th grade chorus wouldn't even bother competing against them.

This one is also great, just because I love the song. Don't Stop Believin:

SO good.

Each song they do has a different lead singer, that I've noticed. How the heck do they find so many talented kids in one school?!

Also: I'm about 99% sure this could all turn into a movie in the future. Mr. B was denied being able to start this chorus at first, and now it's HUGE on the internet, and it's very obvious these kids are crazy-inspired by him and each other. Totally movie-worthy.

My question: Why hasn't Ellen jumped on the bandwagon with them yet?! She should have featured them on her show after they did "Just Dance."

Get on it, Ellen! I want to know more about them! Kthanks.

love,
elizabethany
