watch: mike manning in the ecupid movie trailer

Since filming the Real World: DC, Mike has been the one cast member making serious moves towards a real career. He makes me pretty jealous, to be honest. He even hosted the red carpet during awards season!

One of his projects: Starring in small feature films, such as eCupid.

It was set to release in February, but as far as I can tell [until I talk to him], it looks like it's a little delayed. Either way, the movie looks like it's going to be a genuinely good movie.



It looks like a very gay-community-driven movie, but so what?! What matters in the movie is the story, the characters, and the entertainment, and call me crazy, but this looks pretty damn good!

I'm really proud of Mike and even more excited to see this finished product. I'm sure we all are! So here's to him and being able to say "I loved him way back when."

watch: the best of eTV's finding the real world dc cast

Consider this my closure.

Real World DC is over and done, we're 2 episodes into the Challenge, which means we're 2 weeks closer to The Real World: Back to New Orleans.

In order to show those of you who weren't here from the beginning why this was all such a big deal to me, and to help those of you who did watch from the beginning reminisce and laugh, I've created "The Best of eTV's Finding the Real World DC Cast."

Obviously I couldn't even fit everything I wanted to into a 10 minute video, but I tried my damnedest.



Of course those were the best in my opinion. If you have a moment you remember that was your favorite, made you keep watching, or even made you angry, help me remember the times and tell me!

Emotional EB is present. What shall I do with my life now?! Oh yeah.... Apply to "real jobs." Sigh.

the final real world dc chat is back on mtv.com!

It gives me mild panic attacks to actually say this, but tomorrow marks the final episode of The Real World DC. Honestly.... I can't believe it.

For the premiere, Chris and I hosted a pretty amazing party with Metromix, Callie, Ty, Emily, and Ashley. For the finale, we're making it possible for people all over the world to celebrate with us; We're doing out chat on MTV.com again!

If you joined us last time, you know how awesome it was. I think everyone, including the people from MTV, Andrew, Josh, and everyone else from the show who joined us, really enjoyed themselves! Why wouldn't we do it again?!

SO! Tomorrow night, 9:45pm EST, MTV.com's Remote Control Blog. Be there. [I'll have the direct link as soon as they send it over my way!] We'll be chatting through the episode and through the reunion show! We'll also be sticking around for the West Coast airing! Get excited!

Oh man. The second to last week of The Real World: DC! As much as I'm starting to get a little depressed, it's not slowing us down!

This week for our podcast, we talked to Erika! Though she wasn't on the episode, she was on The Sh!t They Shoulda Shown, and definitely seemed to add to the fun.

I wanted to find out all the pranks that went down that weren't shown, who was behind them all, and who was too much of a p-word to break the rules a little. She also helped to give us the Guide to Livin' It Up and Breakin' the Rules on The Real World.

i'm practically an mtv superstar

Alright... It's time for me to take a moment of your time and talk about me, myself, and I.

You see... As of last night, I've officially been on MTV 3.5 times, and I think that's reason to celebrate. 3.5 sightings on MTV practically makes me a celeb... especially since they were spread out over time so my 15 minutes never let up.

Yes, I finally made my debut on Real World: DC! I can finally prove that I was there for all these things I showed you, and not just hiring someone to do it for me. Lance may have gotten a little more face time but let's not forget the "no elizabethany's allowed" rule.


If you're wondering "how is she counting 3.5 times?!" let me explain.

It all started when I was a junior in high school and my wildest dream came true: I became a TRL VJ.

[Okay... So it may have only been for 10 minutes and to introduce "Holiday Inn" by Chingy, and talk to Vanessa Minnillo about how cold it was outside, and I may have stuttered big time, and my mom may or may not have been there with me..... but it still counts!]


Many of you may not know about my Making the Band obsession, but it's pretty ridiculous. My fellow stalking BFF and I [who you saw in eTV's episode 1!] went to their concert in Baltimore, found out which hotel they stayed in, waited for them, met them, then hung out with them. [I guess now's a good time to tell you RWDC wasn't the first to be stalked by ebethany....]

Well... Come Fall of 2009... There we were on MTV again.

Of course my third time was last night. I guess I'm getting less face time each time, but I understand... I know how to share, it's okay. I'm still going to be excited.

Plus, I'm mostly pumped that the Flip was super prominent...

And my partner in crime was practically the main focus...

As for my "half-time," well, that happened a couple weeks ago. I was on MTV.com for our weekly Real World DC chat! That totally counts as being on MTV, but not a full tally. Fair, right?!

So, I'm sure you can agree with me; EB= no stranger to MTV. Don't worry, I'm not one of those mean celebs. I'll sign an autograph for you any day.

the real world dc: as we saw it, mike speaks his mind

I know, I know... We're a half a week late. My apologies. [If you must know, there are some technical difficulties going on forcing us to use Skype instead of the studios, which makes it a bit harder.]

Anyway, it's time for another The Real World DC: As We Saw It podcast!

Last week's episode was crazy! Erika finally left, and Andrew stepped foot in the White House! [Did anyone else laugh uncontrollably at him throughout the whole episode?] We also did our usual chat, despite my somewhat intoxicated state thanks to St. Patty's Day.

Erika must be in hiding or something because she's been MIA since Wednesday, so we called Mike so he could get everything off his chest. I mean.. Let's be real. We know he was not very happy that Andrew saw Obama before he did.



By the way, he said his meeting/interview/audition went well! Everyone keep your fingers crossed for him and annoy him with "good luck" x 34987. :) I'm sure he'll love it.

Who should we talk to next week?? The episode will be about Josh and Mike mostly, from what I hear, but we haven't talked to Callie, Ashley, Emily, or Ty very much... What's your vote?!

update: what they've really done to the real world dc house

For months we've been playing the guessing game of what the H is going to happen to the Real World DC house now that they're gone [and the show is almost over].

Well, as I drove around DC the other night and my friends said they wanted to see the house because they never have [some friends they are, right?!], we moseyed our way to 2000 S Street. I jumped out and immediately ran behind the gate so I could get some pictures of me at the house, but then I realized something new and different about the house:

Yes. You're eyes are seeing correctly. The RWDC house is now the HIV house.

How.... appropriate?

I don't know what all that entails, but I know it's offices within the top 2 floors of the house, which means good news for me!

Well, hopefully good news. It means a restaurant can still move in downstairs, and I can still go on a date with Mike or someone as they take me into their [former] home.

It's kinda crazy because some of the stuff that was obviously there for the show is still in the house, and a lot of the walls are still painted. I hope the restaurant keeps it fancy like that.

There ya have it. Mystery= Halfway solved. How do you feel about it?! Emily's pretty happy with it.

the real world dc: as we saw it, meet pandrea!

Another week of The Real World DC: As We Saw It!! Sorry we were MIA last week, but NYC and the reunion show taping were calling. [Even though thanks to a certain someone's phone call to the production company, we got DENIED entry.]

We had to finish talking to Andrew, AKA Panda, and then find out all the deets on his new girlfriend, Andrea! Because they're living in a celebrity world, I'm glad someone in our MTV live chat came up with "Pandrea."

Listen to what happened in the ambulance, how the two met, and why Andrea should be taken seriously... despite her curvy model figure and appearance.

[You'll have to excuse the awkward, not so hott quality of this episode. Unfortunately the studio was unavailable for me to use, so we had to be a little ghetto and use Skype.]

getting ready for tonight's chat

Yesterday I finally told you what I've been wanting to blurt out for the past two weeks: I'm hosting the weekly LIVE Real World DC chat on MTV.com tonight at 9:45pm EST!

Some things you should know before the time comes:

• Everything will go as normal. Chris and Lance will both be in the chat giving their thoughts on what they saw while the crew was in DC. Polls will happen. Pictures will be shared. Videos will be shown.
  
• So far Josh and his band, Wicked Liquid, are confirmed to join us in the chat!!! I'm super pumped. Those boys are awesome and hilarious and deserve a lot more credit than they're given.
• Callie is a maybe/probably for tonight! She's chatted with us before, and she knows tonight is going to be bigger and better! I think it depends on her schedule.

Another big Real World DC related announcement is coming! I've been making hints on Twitter, and now I'm warning you here, but tomorrow will be the big day!

I know, I know... It's like I'm giving you blue balls or something. Teasing you with the idea of something happening, but not yet following through.
