DAYUM it has been a while since I went back to my Real World/MTV roots! I've thought about it a few times, but I would ultimately rather talk to people who deserve to have an ego than those who are on one or two reality shows and think I need to go through some super fancy secret agent to talk to them.
When it's Johnny Bananas, though.. I'll make an exception. This is like a former bucket list item!
Johnny's been cursed since he took all the money from Sara, but he won't admit to that of course. Will he admit to having ONE person he'll never hurt in the game?
Before a mini series of challenges begins with "Champs vs Stars," he called me so I could test his ego and see how calculated he really is. Also- Terrell Owens. Turns out he's not going to be a big fan of Johnny like he had hoped. Shocker.
Will I do more of these? Meh. I don't HATE it... but I've got bigger plans coming... you'll see. [Unless of course this gets thousands of listens....]
Wheewwwww boy! This season has been a little all over the place, eh?! I feel like I've had mixed feelings towards everyone in the house at one point or another [with the exception of Marlon, I think...]. I hated Nia in the beginning, then I liked her, then I decided I just really needed to talk to her.
I'll be honest, like I always am... I'm surprised at how easy it was to talk to her and how genuine she really seemed. Sure, she had a lot of awful things to say about other people [saying one of her former BFF's is weak and has serious issues], and she doesn't regret a damn thing she did in the house... but somehow it almost seems justified... maybe.
She's well aware that Real World makes stereotypes out of people, and instead of trying to "prove the stereotype wrong," she embraced her inner angry black woman and made a show everyone's talking about. Nia knows that to make it in the business you have to be a Kim Kardashian or a violent biotch, so she went to violent route.
Our entire chat was over 30 minutes, but I had to cut some things out and also took out some redundancy.. She really wanted to let these things be known:
She's not a slut, and it was when Jordan tried to make her look like THE Atlanta prostitute that she started to attack him
Averey is as fake as fake can be, even buying a bunch of her Twitter followers
"It's not my fault they think I'm better than them. I didn't tell them I was."
Goodness, I feel like I'm really stirring ish up on here, but you haven't even heard the beginning of it. I've never had to bleep so many F- and S- bombs in a podcast before! So take a listen and get ready to catch your jaw.

Finally, I had Jess on the show! Ever since people went bonkers on my first post about her, I've wanted to get her on so she had a chance to say what she wanted about it all. I've also been intrigued by her simply because of the innocence she has on the show.
I wanted to dig in and see if she really is afraid of sex stores... if she has a kinky side we don't know about...
I also asked her opinion of Nia [who she described as her "Fairy Godmother"], and why she kept saying the fight with Anastasia and her boyfriend was "so scary."
Of course I also asked the all important question of what we haven't seen. Turns out we're missing a whole side of Jess.
Like Marlon said last week, it's kinda shocking when I talk to someone like this because my friends and I are always so open about our sexuality and adventures. When someone's a little more old school about it, I'm literally a little speechless. Maybe they'll save the integrity of America... if that's what we even want.
Last week, I had Marlon join me on the show/for a podcast! After talking to him online a few times, I've been wanting to get him on, but he was caught up with.... something..... for a little while. *hint hint*
I was excited to ask him about all the issues in the house that he is seemingly always brought into, his sexual past, and the real deal with Nia. It seems like he's not all that into her either, but he told me it's actually just the opposite, we're just not seeing everything.
While that was shocking, it looks like there's a chance he could return back to his "dark side," like a lot of guys are hoping for.

FINALLY I got a podcast set up to get a closer look at this new-ish season of Real World!
You all voted for her to be the first one, and I [eventually] made it happen!
Of course I had to ask her about the details of her and Johnny getting together, but I also really wanted to know more about her roommates. Is there any realness to Nia? Is anyone's sexuality questioned throughout the season? What is Jess like in person?
SHOCKING!: She says Jordan isn't as big of a douche as he's portrayed. I find that hard to believe, but I'll try and take her word for it for now.
I always liked Averey, but after talking to her.. she's one of the most real, and dare I say normal roommates I've ever talked to. She doesn't ever seem to be exaggerating something for a camera or an interview, she's just being her. And "her" is cool.
Next week/time I wanna get even deeper into some of these crazy people, so comment or tweet me with questions/comments. I have a feeling we're gonna need to know a lot more than what's being shown pretty soon.
Challenge podcasts aren't something I normally do, but there's no real reason for that beyond it being my "off season." Of course I still watch and get into it, but it's not as intently as a fresh season of Real World.
When Trey tweeted me about doing another podcast, I was totally down! And I had a genius idea: having Sam on as well! She comes into the studio to hang every once in a while, and it worked out perfectly!
They agreed and disagreed, and covered a LOT of ground... and considering this season leaves a whole lot of questions like "WTF JUST HAPPENED THERE?!" and "WHY IS THIS GOING ON?!"... they were able to answer a lot of those.

I really should do more of these, huh? I enjoy having Sam's take on it, too. If only it had been on video. Some of her facial expressions said WAY more than any of her words. How 'bout this: Next time I'll Ustream it live for you fancy folks.

Brandon put it perfectly last night when we talked about the hate between the roommates of St Thomas- When you cast a bunch of people from the East Coast, they're just going to compare dicks all day.
He's been one of the most straight-up, honest people of this season and it was sad to see him have to leave a couple days early, but I was glad to get some alone time with him on the phone to talk about it all.
Who he was with when he made the oopsies, what else happened with the girl he got hammered with, and whether or not he still thinks Swift has no respect for the ladies... he answered it all. I also had to call him out for lying to me before and being cute while hooking up with said drunk girl. [FYI: Don't tell him he's cute around other people. It'll ruin his badass reputation!]
And to celebrate the VMA's, I also asked him his favorite MTV moment of all time.
Yeah, we got slightly inappropriate at the end of that but whatever.
The finale is next week, and as I said, I won't be able to watch it live! BUT! I'll have all sorts of end-of-season polls that I'll want you to answer so we can give out some awards to these roomies. Feel free to tweet me your thoughts as you're watching!

It was only right [/necessary] that I talk to Robb. Why in the hayll did he do that to his face?! and HOW?! and is he doing it anymore?!
I asked him all of that, and some about how Marie really treated him and the split personalities we're starting to see in Laura. Clearly there could have been some little ginger babies running around the house if there was just one thing missing from the way this cast was set up. You'll hear all about it....
When he said it shouldn't be laughed about, I totally felt like an a-hole for doing it so many times... He's right- it is a serious matter... I guess I'm just so shocked that it all happened that my awkward self thinks it's funny. Plus- if he really has gotten it under control, we might as well laugh about the past, right?

Finally got Laura on, and with perfect timing! Last night's episode was pretty crazy with her having a good time and Trey being the ultimate Debbie Downer on life.
Obviously we had to talk about all of that... and as much as she hated it at the time and agreed with my opinions, she told me I shouldn't ream him out next time I have him on.
She also let us in on where Trey and the other roommates had been before he "randomly" showed up at the same club she was at... and also the grossness that went down when they got home/between the yelling fits.
Beyond that dramz, she compared Marie to Trey when it comes to relationships and revealed who was the first roommate to really get on her nerves.
I'll be honest, I expected her pets at home to have much more *different* names, but I do enjoy the other nicknames she has come up with.
Starting next week, I will post a poll as soon as the new episode is done for you to vote for the next interview/podcast! Then I will hope and assume that that person is down since I've really had a great time with all of them so far! Very easy to talk to!
YOU GUYS. We've seen 6 episodes, and I've talked to 6/7 of the roommates! I'm baa-aaack.
I've been waiting for a good time to talk to Robb, and apparently I did it right! Brandon happened to be at his house last night when we chatted, so obvi I got him on the phone, too.
We talked about what made Marie so *different* that he fell for her and what he'd do if Marie was hit on in front of his face like Laura was. I also got a question from Callie on Twitter- Why didn't anyone call out Trey for being a hypocrite!?
Seems like Robb kept his distance from Trey while on the island.
Also, Brandon let us in on what they really did on St Patty's Day [yacht party!] and why being on the Real World has ruined his childhood loves.
I've also been wondering if there may be an interesting dynamic between LaToya and Swift after talking to him last week. And by "interesting dynamic," I mean the need for a good hate-bang. Obviously I asked the boys about this.
"The only couple still together?!" Oh no! WHO SAW THAT COMING?! ;)
Goodness I can't wait until this reunion. It's clear they don't all love each other, and there are going to be some colorful conversations.

Well, as promised to LaToya last week, I had to get Swift on this week to apologize to LaToya for accusing her for all of the sea urchin [which I think is the real devil of this Real World season] drama.
We talked for over an hour [woah! It's super easy to talk to this cast, that's for sure..], which shows that he really wanted to A) make his point known and B) be an open book about it all. I cut the interview down to 20 minutes for you, and will give you insight into the rest here. [Don't worry, I'm not hiding any secrets from you! I left the juice in!]
Get ready, he's got a lot of ...mmm.... talking... about his roommates to do. And he says to pay attention because "it's foreshadowing in the episodes to come."
[ALSO: At the end, there's some info about the upcoming Real World season! Ohhh snap!]
I'm not going to lie, when he asked me about what I thought about him/LaToya, I hadn't let the entire interview digest yet. The fact that he kept bringing her up, over and over again [including times you don't hear in there], lets me know they have a seriously heated relationship. Who knows if that's more hate or love at this point, but he was not about to let his thoughts fall by the wayside.
Beyond the podcast and the roommate talk, Swift said we won't see much of him because he tried to stay away from "Prison Paradise" [the house] and became "The Mayor of St. Thomas." As I can imagine, he felt pretty trapped and bored and full of drama in Hassel Island, so he became part of the main island of St. Thomas. He said he met tons of locals, got to know them well, and even volunteered with several charities/community service opportunities.
One specific thing he told me about was going to the local high school and talking to football players. That's pretty awesome. Of course, the cameras didn't follow him to most of these things, just like when the DC roommates volunteered around the city, because it's not very entertaining. Still, it says a lot about his character.
It'll be interesting to see how much they do/don't show him in the next 8 episodes.. I'd assume he's still pretty involved in some drama considering his strong opinions on everyone he lived with.
I'm on a freakin' roll, right?! [Minus getting this up 3 days after recording... Forgive me, it's been a stressful weekend!]
LaToya is in the spotlight this week, and what perfect timing! She finally played a big role in this past episode, duking it out with Swift!
Of course we addressed that situation, but she also told me about a major celeb who came over to see her when she got back to VA after filming! Also- Where's the Subway?! Normally the roomies are constantly eating the sandwiches, but this season their eating habits are different! She spilled the beans on that.
"LaMaR" is something we haven't seen on the show yet, but she said they were inseparable and it's just one of the things that had been edited IN so far into the season. Also- what she says the rest of the season will be like.

I knew I was going to like Marie before the season even started, and in three episodes she's been hilarious to watch, and fun to tweet with... so OBVIOUSLY I had to get her on ASAP!
Within seconds she proclaimed herself a trainwreck, so we have that in common, and we were a giggling mess for the next 20 minutes. [Don't worry, I edited all the annoying giggles out. You're welcome.]
We talked about her thinking someone was pranking her when she first showed up at the house and the fact that it should be "7 bitches picked to live in a house," not strangers. She also let out her feelings about Trey/Laura, why LaToya should have been voted the funniest over her in our chat [apparently the cameramen couldn't even keep their composure!], and why we'll be seeing a lot more Swift soon.
And, of course, we addressed the "scumbag couple of the year," as she nominated her and Robb.
She's fun, this is fun, you'll have fun listening.

It's time for another Beyond the Real World Cameras podcast! Frank has been one of the most fun, but also one of the most controversial people on the show this season. We've seen him deal with drinking and anger issues, coming out of his shell a little and dealing with Zach and Ashley's discrimination, and last week's break up with Michael.
I talked to him about all of these issues, and asked him who he'd bang, kill, and marry [of course], but also find out which girl he's waiting on so he can be with her, which roommate rips out their fingernails, and his one regret in the house. Also: apparently some people have really changed after filming!

This week's episode featured her and her ex Dylan trying to figure out what their relationship, but more importantly- figuring out where his bike had disappeared to!
We covered all the bases on that topic- Where they stand now, how he really reacted to the beyond-amazing prank, and why it was so hard for her to watch 8 times.
Because she's so mature but also fun, I had to bring up Zach and Ashley. [Yes, they really aggravate me that much, even though they're not shown a whole lot.] Apparently Zach went on the show for the opportunity to be on TV, but admits he's "not a social person, doesn't meet new friends, and doesn't open up to people." Cool. She said her opinion of them has changed since they all left the house!

It's about that time again! Okay, so it's BEEN about that time, but there are some people I have to deal with in order to make these things happen every time, and they don't always work with me in the beginning.
ANYWAY, Sam is LOCAL here in Virginia Beach/Hampton Roads, and called into my show on my first day, so I HAD to bring her into the studio for not just a podcast, but some video interview action, too.
She's just like you see her on the show- Real, genuine, hilarious, and comfortable being her and no one else. I loved her!
In the video, we talked about all the roommates- who she'd bang, kill, and marry; what they did around the house [hints: secret drinking games and "gay monkey"....], and of course: Do her and Priscilla hook up?!
[As for the extreme green-screen, it was the best room for the job, but I didn't wanna take away from the interview by adding something to the back! So, it's there, and you won't care.]
She told me before about how some people have gone to the extreme in trying to contact her, and I want to talk about it on tonight's show, so in the podcast- she explains what happens late at night at her parents' home. Sam also revealed her current relationship status and how the Real World fame has changed her life in Hampton Roads.
I'm sure I'll have her on again sometime! It was great to have her in studio for a change! [It made for a lot more ADD conversation, though. We were all over the place!]

Everyone anticipated this season of the Challenge, so I wonder how y'all are feelin' about it so far...?! Do tell! In the meantime, I was able to rope our favorite Las Vegas boys in for a podcast about their progress, being the rookies of the season, and other things we don't get to see after the edits happened.
Plus, as usual, they didn't hold back on how they really felt about some things. When it comes to Wes, Leroy says " After seeing him on the show, I got some words for him." He also told me who he calls "Snowflake," and who cock-blocked him [and from who! ah!].
MikeMike talks about how he wasn't afraid of anyone, and even had the nerve to stand up to a certain monster on day one! I also had to get to the bottom of him and Miss Paula.

It's time to officially say goodbye to the Real World: Las Vegas, and what better way to do it than get another roommate on the phone to clear things up for us.
I've been trying to get Leroy, our favorite guy and Most Real roommate, on the show for a while, and we finally made it happen today, while he took a break from being a trash man. [Yes! He's still working as usual, just taking some breaks to party!]
Roylee is so smart and wise, knows what he's doing and what he's done, and answered all of my questions to the point. And just like he did on the show, he kept it really real.
"I'm the same lee as before I did the show... I'm not a celebrity. And even if you are, that doesn't make you better. A lot of people whow atch the show... you inspire them, so for me to be a dickhead to them when they come up to me.. that would be rude."
He also said what we've been saying all season- It was a good one. It showed real people in real situations, just as the show used to.
"The show is about the storyline... How Nany evolved from where she was with Adam, to the end. That's the stuff people need to see... the stuff I went through with the STD thing... they his the real, big topics."
