tunes on tuesday 111009

The best thing about Tuesdays= New music! Let's hear it!

Robin Thicke ft. Nicki Minaj--> Shakin' It For Daddy

Oh what a raunchy little song... Kinda. I hate when guys say things like this, but I'm diggin' the song. Not sure how I feel about this Nicki chic, but I think I can get used to her.

Alicia Keys--> Sleeping With a Broken Heart

It's a different sound for Alicia, I feel. It's a softer sound rather than the very bold singing we're used to. I don't hate it, that's for sure. It almost has a 90s feel to me, too.

Benny Blanco--> Bounce

This song isn't anything new, fresh, something we've never heard before, but that doesn't mean it's not going to be a huge hit. It has potential, my friends. I enjoy it.

Chris Brown-- Crawl

Everyone is saying Rihanna's album is going to be a lot of reflecting, but I'm thinking Chris Brown's is going to be too. It's obvious he was hoping for them to get back together, and this is a great, cute song about trying to give it another chance and make it great again.

Green River Ordinance--> Come On

I always think I'm not going to like these songs, and I always skip them on my iPod, but whenever I play them, I totally enjoy them. I don't know who these guys are, but I'll listen.

Pitbull ft. Akon--> Shut it Down

Pitbull and Akon both create gold these days. Need I say more? I'm sure we'll be hearing plenty of this... In the club, on the radio, in the cars... Wherever.

Jessie James--> My Cowboy

Oh snap! Jessie James is on the country side now, too! She's totally my new favorite female [next to Britney, of course.] I love every song she's done, she's totally hott, and anyone can like her... Even guys who don't like country will find something to enjoy here, am I right?!

Now for the Country music via links: [They just open into a new window or Windows Media Player, so don't be afraid! Click it! :)]

Montgomery Gentry--> Oughta Be More Songs About That
One of those songs that makes you think about the things you don't normally pay attention to if you're not affected by it... ie: War.

Jonathan Singleton and The Grove--> Look Who's Back In Love
Another song that's not really anything new, but it's totally good.

Brad Paisley--> American Saturday Night
Brad Paisley's lyrics are always great, hands down. I'm not always a huge fan of the sound, but this one is totally fun. It represents everyone.

Jamie Tate--> One Beer Away From Lovin' You
Fun little song... Story of most people's lives.

Andddd that's it! Enjoy, my friends!

Don't forget! Wale's album came out today! Everyone is saying it's unbelievable! DMV REPRESENT!

love,
elizabethany
