another wizard of oz movie

Okay... It's official. I'm mad. Real mad. Why? Because people keep remaking old movies that should never be touched. The thought of sequels or remakes to these movies should never even be contemplated, let alone executed.

The latest: Wizard of Oz.

Yeah, I said it. They want to do a new Wizard of Oz that will have a darker side to the story. A little more sexy, a little more scary... All focusing on Dorothy's granddaughter in the current time period.

No, no, no, NO NO!!!!! Are they serious?!?!? WHY!! The Wizard of Oz can not be redone. That was proven when they did, or tried to do I should say, The Return to Oz. This is unacceptable.

Dakota Fanning is rumored to be up for the star of the movie, but no confirmation yet.

I don't care how good the storyline is, how different/similar it may be to the original, or how great of acting it may have... I will boycott this movie until the day I die, just like Mr. and Mrs. Smith but worse!!

Ugh. I'm fuming. I'm pretty sure the people in California can see the flames coming from my head over their smoky atmosphere right now. [Okay... Maybe too soon?]
