watch etv: tony oller of mkto tries out my stilts

I'm not sure why I've never decided to try to bring out my stilts during an interview before, but I'm thinking it might need to happen more often.

After their interview with Kendall at the HOT Summer Fiasco, I jokingly offered them to the guys of MKTO [one of them being Walt from "Lost," for those of you who are all "who the eff is MKTO], and Tony decided to try them out!

His manager was not happy with me, saying he'd sue me if Tony fell since I didn't have a release form... but I decided to just channel my super strength and make sure he never fell... or at least try to.

[side note: why does it play in really crappy quality unless I change it to HD?! There's gotta be a way to change that... is it like that for you too?!]

Anyway, everything was all good, but Malcolm decided to be a good boy and listen to Daddy Manager. Maybe I should think twice about whoever I offer it to... and make sure I actually have someone really strong to help me out in holding them up... cuz I obviously didn't have Tony...

watch etv: grown men give my stilts a try

A couple Fridays ago it was "National Walk on Stilts Day" again. Last year, I made my coworkers try my stilts out, this time I had volunteers while doing at event at the Nissan of Chesapeake!

These guys were down to try them immediately, even though they had dress pants and shoes on, and even trusted just me to spot them. Luckily, I convinced them I'd need more help... and they soon found out why.

I try to tell people all the time- you just have to go for it! No holding back, get your chest up, and sieze the moment. Wait... am I talking about life or the stilts now?

Either way, it's true! If you ever see me out and about, I ALWAYS have them in my trunk, and I love a reason to bring them out, so ask to give them a try! We'll have fun!

watch etv: celebrating national tequila day with strangers... on stilts

Yesterday was National Tequila Day, and since I was already out filming some Dares on the beach [that video to follow soon!], it was only right that I try and celebrate the beautiful holiday with some strangers gracing the boardwalk with their presence.

And since I haven't been on my stilts in quite some time, I figured I'd whip those suckers out, too.



I mean, WHO WOULDN'T WANT A FREE SHOT OF TEQUILA?! Granted, it was only apple juice, but they didn't know that! Which is why little miss girlfriend was pissed, and why the crowd of people had the looks of shock and disgust when I started chugging then falling over. Silly people, I wasn't trying to get arrested!

dare: ask for friends on my stilts on the street

I love that I was able to combine my latest dare with the current challenge!

Here's the official dare:


What I did: head out to the corner of Texas and University, probably the busiest intersection here, with the sign required.... but the other side included info about Wednesday night's show with Flawless Escape and DJ Get Low! Two of the guys (Scott and A Jae) also joined me!

Dare: COMPLETE! It was totally fun. I'd do it again. I did it for an hour, but when people stopped honking [I tweeted AND Nibs said on air to honk twice if you see me... so that I know who hearts me.] it became boring.

Now speaking of tomorrow's show, can I just say I'm UBER PUMPED?! The guys, myself, Emo Sarah, and all of the BCS has really come together and come through for me to make this a really great, free show for EVERYONE to enjoy! Here are the deets:

• Where: The Stafford, Downtown Bryan, Texas
• When: 10:30pm CDT Wednesday, July 14
• What: DJ Get Low will open the show, I will emcee the entire night, and Flawless Escape will head on stage by 11:30.
• The ENTIRE event will be broadcast LIVE on Ustream!
• The first 10 people in the door will get autographed posters.
• The first 50 people will get Flawless Escape's album FREE.
• The first 100 people will get free stickers!
• We will be raffling off a pair of tickets to see DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL at Six Flags!

It's going to be.... awesome. I may even break out my glitter skirt and nail polish for it.

watch etv: stilts challenge #2

I've had to put a halt on my stilts fun lately because of all this TJ excitement! I'm not sure I'm happy about it, but I think it'll help add more excitement once these TJ challenges get underway.

In the meantime, I got this challenge from my cousin at my goodbye party in Virginia: To hula hoop on stilts.

I totally think I conquered it... For a few seconds! Count to three and I still have it around my hips! [Count quickly, duh.]

Still accepting any and all challenges, and also truths and dares!

watch eTV: wearing my stilts to work

[This is my 2000th post!! SWEET!]

As I've said before, my jumping stilts are the best purchase I've ever made in my entire life. They're genius.

I said in the last video that I wanted to start accepting challenges. It's time for me to complete them.

During my last week at work back home in Virginia, my co-worker Pedro gave me my first challenge: To wear my stilts into our shift meeting and hopefully while serving guests in our restaurant.

The results were absolutely hilarious. It's funny how the reactions you expect to get never really happen...



NO ONE reacted. Actually, I take that back... A group of old men found me really fascinating...... They also said everyone was flocking in like a herd of turtles.

Hilarious day that I'll absolutely never forget. I hope you found it as funny as I do every time I watch it!

Although... If you don't... I really don't give a .. ya know.

watch eTV: third times a charm on jumping stilts

Whewwwww I've been out of commission on here for farrrr too long! I promise I've been trying to get back on here but as you can probably imagine, moving and starting a new job is not only hectic, but a bit emotional too.

ANYWAY, I've got some videos in the bank that need to be shared if nothing else, so that's what I have right now!

My third go around on my ever so amazing jumping stilts. Third time's a charm.... right?!



I mean that. I want to start taking challenges. I have already taken and tried two of them, and they will be posted within the next week.

I can tell you with 100% confidence that the next video will be one of the best I've ever done. It's.... epic.

watch eTV: my second time on jumping stilts

This is definitely going to be an ongoing "segment" or whatever... Until I become the best jumping stilts'er in all the land!

I tried it again, and well.... You can watch to see how "good" it went...

My dad also decided to try them because that's what he does. He tries new things, and he becomes a pro at them within 5 minutes.

Great. My dad is already better than me. Freakin' fabulous.

I decided to make a rule that he was too heavy for them so that he can't surpass me too much... Cheating?! Nahhh...

Plus! I never had any help! Not once! So HE totally cheated by using Mama Ploger! Right?! Right! Okay. Glad that's settled.

watch eTV: i finally got my jumping stilts

I've literally been waiting for YEARS to get these stupid jumping stilts. [Obviously by stupid I mean the best thing ever created in life.] Ever since I saw them on some Diddy VMA performance, I've had them on my Christmas list.

Finally they arrived at my home last week.

Just to give you an understanding on how freaking ridiculously amazing these things are, look:

Yeah. I know. You want some now, too.

They say I should be able to be running and jumping and whatever else I may think of within 5 days/tries/practices whatever. So that's what I shall do. I'll be flipping around Woodbridge in no time.

Of course I've got to bring the Flip with me each time. Sooo, let's get to it.

Last Wednesday they came at 9AM, and I wasted NO time giving them a whirl. [Though now looking back I think I should have waited at least a few hours until someone got home....]

.....Yikes. Yeah. First time= not so easy.

Second time coming soon, for sure! These things are way too epic to stay off of for long or get me discouraged. I learned that a little help from the ceiling is always welcome... and sometimes very necessary.

BTW- If anyone in the area has some, let's set up a play date! I want jumping friends!
