outfit: army green and lace for a charity fashion show

One of the things I'm really excited about now that I'm back in DC is getting involved with the endless events going on around the city.

Last weekend, I had the opportunity of being the MC at a fashion show helping out MCPAW, a local animal shelter charity.

I honestly had no idea what to expect or what to wear, but I threw this together and hoped for the best. I felt a little under-dressed, but received a lot of compliments! [Unfortunately, I can't find any of the stand-alone pics... but this one is courtesy of Bethesda Magazine!]

-green button down [that I typically wear more as a jacket or cover-up] from Kohl's
-pink lace skirt from Charlotte Russe clearance
-tan wedge booties from XXI clearance
-big, dangly black and gold earrings from BlueLans
-pin straight hair c/o Barry Smythers and associates

My matchy-matchy self hates those shoes with the outfit, but I really don't have a lot of options and definitely need to step my shoe game up. I also can't decide what the perfect shoe for this outfit would be. Feel free to suggest something!

love,
elizabethany
