pinspired: sharpie chevron nails

I've seen a lot of pins that use Sharpie markers to draw on any kind of design on your nails. I think the most popular are the metallic ones.

I don't have any of the metallic ones, but I did get a really awesome white Zoya nail polish in my ipsy this month, called "Jacqueline." Seems like the perfect time to add some color with markers.

I tested out some different options on my right hand, so I knew what I'd actually be able to draw with my left hand.

The dots were just kind of lame, and everyone loves chevron, so like... duh.

Are they not fun and colorful- perfect for spring/summer?!

A little close-up so you can see that they're not perfect, but pretty damn good.

They took some serious concentration, and a little longer than just your average manicure [obviously], but at least I didn't have to worry about taping the design on for perfection.

Also, like the original pin said, one swipe of alcohol or nail polish remover and the marker comes right off before much of the nail polish. Finish it off with a top coat and you're golden.

If you give it a whirl today for What Ya Wearin Wednesday or any time, send me a pic so I can see too! Have fun doodling.

love,
elizabethany
