my perfect red lace dress for merry hotmess fest

We had our Merry Hot Mess Fest show last night, and I will totally give you more details on that tonight or tomorrow, but I wanted to share with you what I wore before I get into all that video editing!

I tweeted a picture of a red lace dress that was my inspiration to get back in the gym before the show...

That was cost over $300, so I obviously couldn't get it, but I spent way too much time checking over 30 websites for a dress just like it in my size and budget. I ended up ordering another one for $32, but didn't love it, so I went to Ross to just see if maybe I could get lucky.

I DID! For $12.99, I got the perfect red lace bodycon dress, and I thought I was dreaming.

I woke up when I found out we had to be out there early afternoon, and a red lace dress would look slightly trampy. The white sweater I found while standing in line at Forever 21 on Black Friday has been a God-send. I put it on overtop for a couple hours for the "daytime look," and I'm pretty psyched about it.

I'm so pumped about this dress and the fact that I plan on putting sweaters over dresses way more often. I'm also pumped to tell you more about the show so I'm gonna get to editing!
