older than you think

Crunk, adj; The combination of crazy and drunk.

Origination: Dr. Seuss, 1972.

Yep, it wasn't Lil Jon who first used the "new" slang term.. Dr. Seuss made it up in his book "Marvin K. Mooney Will You Please Go Now." He used it to describe the "car" you see in the picture.. It's called the crunk-car.

Nerd, n; an intelligent but single-minded person obsessed with a nonsocial hobby or pursuit: a computer nerd.

Origination: Dr. Seuss, 1950

Yes, he also invented this word! In "If I Ran to the Zoo."

He said "And then, just to show them, I'll sail to Ka-Troo... and bring back an It-Kutch.. a Preep and a Proo... A Nerkle, a Nerd, and a Seer-Suckle too!"

Who knows if he invented the words in hopes that they would be used the way they are today.. But they're fantastic words, and when rappers use them, you KNOW they're cool, right?! ;)

What a genius you were, Dr. Seuss. Teaching little kids the lingo at age 3. Now we need to start using preep and proo. Any ideas on definitions for the two?

love,
