I know, I know.. It's been entirely too long since my last Tunes on Tuesday and I'M SORRYYYY!

Flo Rida ft. Nelly Furtado--> Jump



Whattt.. Flo Rida in a Disney movie?! Well, his music anyway! That's interesting. I'm definitely a Flo Rida fan, not going to lie. I like this song, even though it's not his best.


Tinchy Stryder ft. Amelle Berrabah--> Never Leave You



Nope, I have no clue who these people are except for that he's British and she's from the Sugababes. I dig the song, though. It sounds like something else but I can't figure out what it is as this very second.


Paul Wall ft. Baby Bash--> Lemon Drop



This is one of those songs that I don't hate, but I probably won't be rollin' around bumpin to on my own time. It's not bad, though. I'm sure lots of people will be rollin' around with it. Plus, it's not exactly G-rated.


Jadyn Maria ft. Flo Rida--> Good Girls Like Bad Boys



Imagine that, another song involving Flo Rida. Imagine that, I kinda like it. It's still nothing I'm super excited about, but it brings up the valid point... Why DO the good girls like bad boys?!?


Consequence ft. Kanye West and John Legend--> Whatever You Want



This is homeboy's first single and he's rockin' with Kanye and John Legend on it?! Shooottt... He's set! He sounds a lot like Kanye to me, though. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing? It's not terrible but really, this isn't my thing.


Sugababes--> Get Sexy



Oh.. So THESE are the Sugababes. Ummm, I love it!! I like how some people are using old songs in the new ones now and revamping them. It's fun. I like what it's about and I think it has a good beat. I enjoy.


Tim McGraw--> It's a Business Doing Pleasure With You



Leave it to Tim McGraw to point out the truth! Never thought this would be a song, and never really thought of it the way the title does, but shoot! With some people it IS a business doing pleasure with them! I enjoy.


Brad Paisley--> Welcome to the Future



Brad has definitely done some better songs. I'm a little disappointed, actually. It's not terrible, I just want every one of his songs to be GREAT!


3OH!3--> Starstrukk



Ha, the whistle thing TOTALLY reels me in! I love it! Dude, this song can totally get you pumped up and you don't even expect it to! I think it's great.


Jason DeRula--> Whatcha Say



Ooh la la, who is THIS boy?! I really enjoy his voice for some reason. The song is good, too... I also enjoy the lyrics. He gets an A!


My Favorite Highway--> Say So



I normally don't listen to this music a whole lot, but for some reason I've been getting into it again. This isn't bad at all. I think anyone could like it, really. It's a little cheesy during the chorus, but whatever.


Boys Like Girls--> Love Drunk



Speaking of that kind of music, if you haven't heard of this song, I wanted you to know it. I totally dig it, and I think you should too. Okay, great!

It's the first Tunes on Tuesday of 2009! Woohoo!

So, why not start out with the 2009 version of Mariah Carey's Hero. And yes, it's her redoing her own song.



Here's what I don't understand: Why redo your own song, when it was amazing in the first place? I get that she's trying to promote her ballads album and everything, but I just think the first version was amazing.. So I can't support this one. Sorry!


Rihanna ft. Chris Brown--> Bad Girl

This is a coincidence that I have this for this week, right after its rumored that there MIGHT be a diamond ring on a certain someone's wedding finger.. Anyways, yikes, uhhh.. I wish this was a better song. I can't talk bad about my girl/guy! I love both of them! I mean, it's not terrible. Maybe it'll grow on me... Yeah, it probably will. ;)


Ciara ft. Young Jeezy--> Never Ever

Wow, I didn't expect for this song to be slow because of who it is! But this is a really good song, and I fully enjoy it. [Probably no surprise to anyone who's a regular reader.] It's not the nicest thing, though. "He will never ever love you." Dang. Heart= broken.


Eminem ft. Dr. Dre and 50 Cent--> Crack a Bottle

Shady's back.. Back again. And just like he says, he's back with Dre. I don't think that it's anything different than what we'd expect from Mr. Slim Shady, but I'm not sure it's my favorite by any means. Not terrible, but I'm not blown away.. So I'll just let you guys be the judge of it. [I do think the lyrics of the chorus are really hilarious, though..]


Asher Roth ft. Jim Jones--> I Love College (Remix)



This is such a fabulous song! Not because of how it sounds, but because the words are absolutely fantastic and I love it. And I can imagine them being the titles of many Facebook albums.. :-P Not that Facebook is my life or anything, though..


Tim Mcgraw--> Nothing to Die For



I finally found a place to get new country songs for you country fans!! :) But this is a very typical, wonderfully nice song by Tim McGraw. Another one of those live your life to the fullest songs that make you feel nice and want to get out and do something great. I enjoy.


Shane O'Dazier--> I Hate This Town

HAHA! This song is fabulous. It reminds me of EVERYONE in NoVA. We have good things to say about it.. Sometimes anyways.. But at the same time, all anyone wants to do is get out of here and complain about it to the max. This is a silly song, and I fully enjoy it. And I have no idea who this Shane guy is, but his other stuff isn't bad either, so maybe we're about to hear more from him. I guess we'll see!!


Alright, there ya have it! Hopefully I got something for everyone! I'm back on the grind so keep checking in as you always do!

really great show

I never thought I'd ever say this, but I probably would have paid a LOT of money for the Jonas Brothers' concert in Nashville on Sunday.. And actually, I'm mad I didn't know about it in order to make it possible to go.

But I'm not crazy.. Nor am I turning into the teeny bopper that I.. used.. to be.

Their concert had all kinds of A-LIST singers OPENING for them. Or singing with them, or whatever.

For instance, Tim McGraw AND Faith Hill opened up and introduced the brother-trio. And Martina McBride performed "Independence Day."

That's not even close to being it for the list of guest performers.

Amy Grant sang her hit from the 90s, "Baby Baby," and Michael W. Smith sang "Place in this World."

Then, duets/collaborations happened. Joe Jonas joined Jordin Sparks for "No Air" and Kevin helped out Brad Paisley with "Waitin on a Woman." Check out the videos if you wish.. But I must warn you.. There's a lot of screaming every once in a while.





[I don't think they're the BEST duets I have ever seen, but they're not terrible, I guess. If you can hear past all of the screaming..]

And, Phil Vassar, Steven Curtis, and Vince Gill also joined the JoBros to sing the classic "The Weight."

Finally, to wrap it all up, EVERYONE came together to sing the HUGE classic "American Pie."



Wow. Seriously, I wonder if this was something all of the fans knew about, or a bunch of surprises. Either way, it's pretty cool, JoBros or not. And I'm really, really jealous of people who were there.

If you don't like country, you might not understand or agree with me.. But this is really cool, and that's all I have to say for now.
