the wedding must go on

If you had plans to get married, and then a tragic accident happened that killed your fiance, what would you do?

OK, OK.. Maybe we don't want to think about what we'd do.. That's a little scary and sad and whatever, so I'll just tell you what one man is doing.

Even though 25 year old Alan Hooley's fiance was killed in a car accident in October, he plans on still having the wedding in May.

No, her body won't be there, but everything else that was always planned to be there, will be.

Friends and family, all the decorations that she wanted, and a horse draw carriage will be involved. But that's not all. Her ashes will also be there.. In diamond form.

They took her ashes to make diamonds for a necklace for Alan, her mother and two sisters, and his mom.

They will celebrate her life and their love for each other, and do it exactly as she wanted her wedding to be.

When I first read about this, I was kind of weirded out by it. But now, I guess it's just really, really sweet. You can't look at it as him marrying a dead woman, but him honoring his fiance's wishes. And that, my friends, is true love.

love,
elizabethany
