He's slowly getting better..

So he says in his blog on MySpace.

Travis Barker is still in the hospital undergoing surgeries, and started eating meat again, but is making a healthy recovery after his plane crash a couple weeks ago, also involving DJ AM.

"Like the doctors said from the beginning, its been a slow recovery process. I am coming up on the 7th of my surgeries Monday. Today I finally was able to move all my fingers on my right hand. Every step seems huge at this point, and Im doing EVERYTHING I can possibly do to get back to my kids."

He definitely seems to be in good spirits and has high hopes for getting back to normal... he's just missing his friends Chris and Che.

back out in the world

Good news, guys. DJ AM was seen out yesterday.

The sad part is that it was because he was paying respects to Chris Baker, one of the passengers on the wrecked plane who passed away.

That picture shows AM yesterday. The burns are poking out of his collar. :( It looks rough, but I think it's better than I personally imagined. I heard his face was in bad shape. Maybe that's why he has sunglasses on.

Either way, it's good to see him in recovery mode.

Also-- Paris Hilton told Ryan Seacrest about a text AM had sent her that said "I'm so lucky to be alive."

I don't think he or Travis Barker will ever take a day of life for granted again.

We're still praying for you two, and the other four's families.

Travis Barker and DJ AM are just lookin forward to the future right now..

The docs are saying they're are both still in critical condition, but stable.. and are expected to make a full recovery.

Their crash, which happened just before midnight on Friday night, left four others, including Travis' assistant, dead. :(


Apparently upon impact they ran out of the burning plane and onto the highway, where they patted eachother down to stop the flames from growing. Travis suffered burns from the waist-down.. DJ AM's face and torso were unfortunately the worst parts for him. :-/

Hurry and get better, guys! Everyone is rootin and prayin for ya!! Hang in there, we'll see you back on stage ASAP! :)

Real Quick:

DJ AM and Travis Barker were in a plane crash last night. :( Apparently they escaped the plane while it was on fire, after the crash.. but their crew and other people died. :-/

They're in the hospital right now for burns and other injuries.. Not sure exactly whats going on, but I heard Travis got burned from the waist down, and AM had burns on his face..
